Any interest in a QRK android app? I can make it free for you guys. (Tips would be appreciated)

It would look similar to my other ones, like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stringtheory.cryptos.hbn

The app fetches latest trade price, volume, and time from cryptsy.

My apps will always be free.

You need to post this on www.quarkfoundation.cc. It's made for adding projects, also people can donate to this project.
Also make a thread on http://forum.qrk.cc

Here is more on it:

We are getting close to the 247 million coins mined! This is pretty exciting to see what will happen.

I'm pretty exited too. This is a big step for Cryptocoins in general since they will get to this point sooner or later. Quark is the first currency we are witnessing

3404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Introducing Quark Foundation on: January 02, 2014, 01:44:39 PM

Add your own Quark related project, earn bounties from the community, donate to projects you like, discuss project related topics on the foundation forum.
Quark Foundation is open for everyone to participate.

Donating

The purpose of the foundation is to gather bounties in a transparent and open way. By donating to the foundation’s main wallet address you support all current and future Quark projects. It is also possible to support a single project by donating to the specific wallet address related to that project.
Please note: The foundation only pays out, when that project has been completed, this will secure the trust of the supporters.

New projects

If you are planning to start a new project related to Quarks Development and are seeking financial or non-financial support. Please fill in the contact form so that one of the Quark Foundation members can contact you.

I hope we can switch soon to James website though. Looks more professional. Also isn't Bill inactive to have the time to be managing funds all the time?

James Corbett mentions Quark.

I didn't know him until today so i'll quote the original poster on Quark forums: "For any of you Quarkers out there who enjoy and follow James Corbett of the Corbett report, I was super pleased to hear him mention Quark in an interview on Self-Education Radio.  He was discussing Bitcoin and said that he thought it was a good idea to put some money into it, and also some of the other cryptos like QUARK.  That's the only one he mentioned and he didn't go into why.  But I have tremendous respect for Corbett. He absolutely thinks for himself, does all his own research and is brilliant.

This gives me a boost of confidence in Quark and my gut feeling that it's a good coin for the future."

Here he talks about Quark at 12:55 www.corbettreport.com/interview-780-james-corbett-on-self-education-radio/

and more coming, it's been one month since Kolin went on bill still's show, try to have a bit of patience, you don't just click your fingers and it happens it takes time.....but as you can see from this list after one month, more has been established for QUARK then 90% of all other crypto's, remember quark was pretty much forgotten about, only one month has the majority of the crypto community known about it, it's impressive if you ask me, and im sure it will look very impressive to investors as well

Some new links i didn't know about. Well done, will check them out. Also remember it's holidays and new year coming up, people can't be very active.

Well there are some skilled dedicated guys taking over the projects wheel and Kolin supports that. I don't think you should see Kolin as the only spokesperson of Quark.

A message to the top Quark holders

One of the strong aspects of Quark lately, is the skilled people who are behind this coin. They have a professional mindset and their project ideas are top of the line.
Now this needs some funds to make it happen. If there are enough funds Quark will be one of the most successful digital currencies in the world.

Now some of you top holders got Quark very cheap. You are sitting on millions of Quark and refuse to donate why? Because you expect to get rich right? Let me tell you something, as long as you refuse to help a hand you will not succeed to make a big profit. This greed of some of you top holders is mind blowing. If i had millions of Quark i would be throwing bounties left and right to projects. Because i know the potential of Quark and i know i would get back a lot in return.

The Quark community is asking for financial support from the top holders. They have awesome projects ready to get Quark to shine and trust me it will shine bright, but it needs to have the support of you guys to do this. We are getting a foundation/crowd funding site up where you guys are needed and right now we need donations for our website. If you donate you are only doing this not only in favor of Quark but also in favor of yourself. Quarks price will shoot up, more investors will join and more Quark popularity. We need you guys to make these legit projects up and running.

It's not like we are asking for your hard earned money. So show some generosity and you will get back more than when you not chose to donate. We are counting on you guys!
3413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best Alt coin to invest in currently? $10k to Invest on: December 27, 2013, 10:07:24 PM
Buy QRK, MEC or WDC

I believe these 3 will do well. CoinMKT chose these 3 to add aswell.
3414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DGEX.com multicurrency exchange BTC <-> NXT no trading fees on: December 27, 2013, 01:14:16 PM
1,000,000,000 (1 billion) initial coins
73 initial adopters
so roughly 13.7 Million each (assume equal distribution)
at 21 BTC Total
0.000000021 BTC per coin

current market rate is about 0.00013 (6000x)

To those are who are buying these coins... most of the coins are being hoarded, so you can only buy them on the market for 6000x or 600,000% of what all of the 1 billion coins were paid for at genesis. The early adopters are being greedy, selling them at such a high rate for an unproven technology that hasn't been open sourced. Also, the exchange enforces a minimum order price. They're all already out in circulation, they collectively paid $3000-$4000 for them in September/October. And only a fraction is being sold on the market, at 600,000% premium.

Stop buying these coins so high.

We have all been wondering if there will be another coin that will surge in price like bitcoin and litecoin.

A lot of people have used the approach to mine and/or buy every coin because it is hard to be sure which Alt coin will turn out to be the next BIG ONE.

We now know!

It is Quark!

Quark has done something that no other coin has ever done. It increased in value by more than 1000x in less than 2 weeks. From 21 on Tuesday Nov 19 to 30000 on Sat Nov 30.

This huge increase is amazing.

How was it possible?

It is a result of the uniqueness of Quark's distribution.

All coins when first issued are raped and dumped by the botnets, farms etc. In fact no coin can overcome this relentless raping and dumping. All coins nearly die from it. Quark was no exception.

But because of Quark's distribution, nearly all of its coins have been minted, there can be no more raping and dumping. There is no more constant downward pressure on the price.

Now the price can increase with time without constraints. It is this natural price increase that is attractive to hedge fund investors and will result in Quark challenging litecoin's price of 0.025 btc and maybe even challenging bitcoin itself.

We have all wondered what will happen when a coin is fully mined. We now know. It is a price explosion!

I only hope that everybody got in on Quark before Nov 19. If not, it is not too late, there may be another factor of 1000x waiting in the wings. Big money is pouring into Quark!

Interesting

neither -get btc while its still cheap

this

We are not in 2009. You can earn more with other potential coins than just buying BTC.
3417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest $10,000 into Quark or Dogecoin? on: December 27, 2013, 12:58:10 PM
Watching on markets i heartly give you options of QRk, ZET, WDC, and even if you want you can collect millions and billions of CENT, COL, IFC and TIX
Dont forget BTC and LTC whic are mother and father of crypto

BTC tried to bash LTC hard, but didn't succeed to stop it from shining. Now LTC is trying to do the same to QRK and doesn't like to see another rising coin. Obviously they don't give a shit about innovations and all care about money. QRK will shine though, because it really helped the crypto world going step forward with it's different features.

I agree, but I dislike the obvious pre-mining of QRK
And it lacks emotion appeal, the name of coin makes no sense and logo is weird.

First of all it was not pre mined http://www.quarkcoin.cc/2013/12/14/mythbuster-pre-mine-with-max-g-qrk-main-developer/. You are just repeating other haters for your own benefit.

Second If some of you were interested in alt coins in the first place you would have noticed it already. The Quark thread has been here for 6 months and very active. If you didn't see that than it's your own fault and need to check alternate crypto currencies more often. It was fairly announced and open to everyone to mine it who were interested.

Third 1 of the many reasons Quark attracted me and others was it's catchy name and design. I also don't like the boring grey LTC logo, but that doesn't mean anything.

Wow, that site has come a long way on the layout!  Very nice.

I hate to say this Gliss, you're my go-to for coin prices but with this Nxt and Ripple shit littering your top 5, I'm going to have to seek an alternative.
