3421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THE MOST PAINFUL DAY IN MY BETTING CAREER on: November 16, 2020, 06:05:07 AM

That was how my hope of winning 260k bet was dashed. I can never forget that very day in hurry, Sunday 10 Nov.2013

You need to see a professional because 7 years is already a long time to still feel the hurt and to be disappointed, this is just money there are still important things in life like your health and your family, stop something that's making you disappointed, you cannot go on like this forever, life is too short, we have our family, our health and our job to take care.
There's a saying that the best things in life are free, so try to move if you cannot get professional help their job is to help people like you.
OP should move on because OP didn't have the money in the first place, it was just the projected amount that OP could've won and in my opinion, losing in betting shouldn't make you get too emotional, should've known in the first place that when gambling, chances of losing is higher than winning. Therapist could help but if you can, try to distance yourself from people that keeps you on that spiral even if they are your loved ones.
3422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 4% return - compounded DAILY on: November 16, 2020, 05:27:35 AM
FYI Freebitcoin is not the only one offering this kind of plan I  have  Abra an exchange that operates in over 150 plus countries and they offer 4% annually on some of the coins that you deposited in their platform, it's sustainable, although I have not avail of the plan because I want to always in control of my coins in my custodial wallet.

The offer is sustainable and legit, a legit program will not offer 4% daily, if they do, people will be in a hurry to post them in the scam section.
I was shocked when I saw the title, good thing I knew that Freebitcoin is a trusted and reliable site and that other people corrected OP. It is a common sense that it will be impossible to sustain that kind of offer to their customers. If you ever see one offer 4% daily, make sure to let them say it again to confirm because they might have misunderstood too, and if it is a repeat then chances are, it is HYIP.
3423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin movement launches its first limited edition streetware collection on: November 16, 2020, 04:51:48 AM
what did you people think about Bitcoin Movement? Can it helps in bitcoin adoption?

I'm more of a cynic and would assume the inverse.  They're probably just using Bitcoin's brand recognition to sell clothing.

It doesn't even have the word "Bitcoin" in it, so I don't know how it's supposed to spread awareness.  If people don't already know what bitcoin, or "BTC" is, they would probably only see what they perceive to be a random string of characters.  The only way anyone unfamiliar with the concept is going to understand what "B T C M V M N T" means is if the person wearing it stops to explain it to them.
It could work though, the problem is a you have said, no bitcoin in the apparel. In my opinion, it is just a design decision and I do not think that they are hitching on the hype consciously, they might have not have that intention to hitch-hype. I agree that it is not a good way to promote bitcoin with string of numbers in a clothing, they might have a success having a concept art that is inspired by bitcoin.
3424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does China FUD matter anymore? on: November 16, 2020, 03:58:29 AM
China with their regular banning & unbanning of bitcoin used to have a big effect on the price. I don’t think anybody cares any more, the shock value in what China does or doesn’t do in relation to bitcoin doesn’t really cause an impact these days.
I do not get their government cracking down on bitcoin when they have a state owned bitcoin farm that mines a lot of bitcoin. I agree about the indifference of many people about China's side on bitcoin, good thing that the adoption is spreading around the globe like a wildfire albeit a slow one.
3425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategy advice on: November 16, 2020, 02:56:40 AM
Don't put your eggs in one basket. I think it's better if you have a diverse preference on who are other teams to bet on. Do like to play on odds or against it not just relying on the team because you feel like they are strong, even strong ones do tend to lose on so many factors. My advice is try to play multibetting and try to see which odd is best.
It is different in sports, if the team you are betting on is a favorite and they prove it by winning, then the chances of betting for them is higher although the opposite is also true. The miracle wins are out of your control to be worrying about it. Multi betting is not advisable if you want to net a bigger profit because there are bets that you will lose some and win some.
3426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers lose more money than win. on: November 16, 2020, 02:20:56 AM
These arguments are based on the experience of gamblers and have been eliminated by master psychologists after taking listening to thousands of gamblers. Greed and fear are two main drivers of human emotions, so it is essential to get rid of emotional decisions during making bets. The free drinks are just bonuses and this is not a big deal compared to what kind of turnover the casino pit bosses contorls.
Greed and fear is just part of the psychological formula why people keep coming back to the casinos. The other is that they unconsciously want to break even or get some profit which is a fallacious. If you are an avid gambler, you can always graph what you spent on a day and there is a high chance that the graph might be experiencing a downward trend as it goes along the way.
3427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Gang uses crypto for illegal purposes on: November 16, 2020, 01:48:58 AM
So China said they were unable to track those transactions on time while still having complete control on every single breath of their citizens? They're just trying to ruin the game for crypto as they don't like people succeed, not even theirs. And if they were still not able to trace it but were totally in control of letting their citizens stop the use of crypto and stop mining, it's honestly a shame for them that a few people in that gambling gang managed to slide down their own currency under their nose.
The problem is that they need/want the taxes for those online gambling profits. From what I know, China is trying to be a virtuous country by not letting their citizens in their country gamble but they are doing a Off shore Gaming and they have Macau and Hongkong. In the end, it is better that they prevented them earlier than having to let them go on for a long time so they can seize larger amounts.

Flooding of coastal areas due to erratic weather patterns is going to increase with time as climate scientists have been warning for a long time. We have already seen how things have taken a turn for the worst when it comes to weather related calamities. People living along coastal areas are going to have to be extra careful and ready themselves for such situations.
Calamities have always been a part of human life and as humans we just adapt. A large section of people still want to deny climate change and just say that it is part of earth's cycles. Cycles or not, one thing is sure that we will have to make communities more resilient till enough can be done to avoid long term climate disaster.
Mix that with an incompetent government, you will have a recipe for disaster. I can say that because I live in that country and the way they handle disaster management is laughable at best, the only one who does something is the VP despite criticism from the presidential. I have lost my faith in the current administration in my country. I do not think that calamities should not be a part of life, that is a BS to further enable inaction towards problems, if there is a way to prevent it why not act on it.
3429  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should People who don't pay taxes be allowed to vote? on: November 14, 2020, 10:53:53 AM
There isn't anyone that does not pay taxes. Every item we buy on store is already taxed, we are not just aware of it. Think of it this way, as long as you participate in the supply and demand circulation in the economy then you are already paying taxes. Suffrage is a right for everyone because they get to choose what happens to their community, simple as that.
3430  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Privacy should be at the core of CBDCs, says Boston Fed research director on: November 14, 2020, 09:53:35 AM
That would be impossible as they are controlled by central banks. That is just my opinion. If they aim for privacy then they will be the same as any cryptocurrency, which already offers the same privacy and gives much more freedom. To be honest, crypto will surely be undermined by CBDC in the coming years because they are controlled by the state and they can ban unregulated crypto anytime they feel when their CBDC's are threatened.
3431  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Pakistan has started work on legalizing bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on: November 14, 2020, 09:11:29 AM
If Pakistan legalizes bitcoin I think it will be better for their citizens. Hopefully, they will influence their neighbors especially India with a swaying favors when it comes to bitcoin. Although politically they are not inclined this will help in making them have similarities where they both agree on.
3432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can people rebel against bitcoin? on: November 14, 2020, 08:08:11 AM
What is the connection of the title to the post cause I do not see much. Honestly, with India's swaying favors with bitcoin, I just want to watch it in the backlines. They have a really big country which means that they should try to do it in small scale to take a perspective if it benefits them as a whole or not.
3433  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: CAGAYAN NEEDS HELP‼️‼️‼️‼️ on: November 14, 2020, 07:21:14 AM
Our family did their part, donating items to those in need. Good thing na may ganito sa bitcoin community which is very helpful para sa image ng bitcoin as a whole. Meron din charity drive si boss cabalism as far as I know, tumutulong sila right now.
3434  Other / Archival / Re: [GUIDE] All About Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) on: November 14, 2020, 06:48:27 AM
Nice post as always. I am not meaning to be demanding but man you should create your own website with this quality writing. In my opinion, CBDC is a big help for an economy of a country, contrary to the belief that it will cause inflation, it will not. CBDC helps in injecting money in the economy without the cost of printing money thus reducing the paper in circulation which prevents hyper inflation in these trying times.
3435  Economy / Economics / Re: Technology is rendering the fiat money system of the 20th Century obsolete on: November 14, 2020, 05:38:41 AM
The astonishing advancement of technology within the country has been visible for over a decade technology is introducing the obsolete paper money system of the 20th century and therefore the gathering of human knowledge is occurring quite ever before. Technology communication has become much easier and faster it's also easy to speak regularly with relatives not only within the country but also abroad there has been such a revolutionary change within the communication system during this country for little but effective mobile devices. At an equivalent time the utilization of computer and internet has made people's life more dynamic.
We are in 21st century if I am right. To say that paper money is obsolete is far fetch by global standards, there are countries that still heavily rely on paper money due to low IT infrastructure in a given country. I am not saying that it will not completely obsolete but it will be long time before we could say that it becomes obsolete. Right now, it is more convenient to use fiat in my country even though I use crypto because there are few outlets or businesses that have a crypto integrated system.
3436  Other / Meta / Re: Post deleted by mistake or what? on: November 14, 2020, 04:26:39 AM
I didn't handle it but looks like someone reported it as low value.
No disrespect but I think that mods should evaluate the reports of low quality posts more in-depth so this kind of complaints would not happen again. I might be asking for too much knowing that mods have a lot of work to do and a measly single deleted post will not be worth attention which I get will be unfair to the mods of each deleted are reviewed in-depth which takes a lot of time.
3437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin get an insurance? on: November 14, 2020, 03:41:17 AM
Pretty decent idea to have insurance regarding bitcoin. In my opinion, being decentralizzed means that you are solely responsible to your cryptos which eliminates the predatory nature of insurances that will require payments from you to keep your cryptos safe when the chances of your crypto from is very low unless you are irresponsible with your keys.
3438  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's the next Bitcoin´s NEW 2020 HIGH? on: November 13, 2020, 11:47:11 AM
If we get to a new ATH things could get really crazy really fast.  The next 12 months may prove to be the hardest HODL in Bitcoin's existence as it's valuation gets truly frothy.
If that is the case then it will replicate the year that it will eventually mirror past market fluctuations. This could spell good omen for veteran as they will know when is the prices will go ever lower to buy the coin and know when the prices go up. It is just my speculation but the graph from the past years have seen similiraties in the figure.

You can do faucets although it is a trickle. Trading might be the best option for you as you can't join the signature campaigns, there are services here where you can offer your specific skill set, you need to build a reputation in the forum though because there are a lot of new accounts that is being used to scam other people.
3440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Places in South Africa That Accept Crypto Payments on: November 13, 2020, 07:31:20 AM
Pretty envious with South Africa having this places to spend your cryptocurrency. In my country, it is both a blessing and a curse that the government does not interfere or do something with cryptocurrency, it is a blessing because no imposed taxes and a curse because there is close to none businesses that integrate crypto transaction which is inconvenient because you have to exchange it to local currency which has fees and sometimes outlets are unavailable.
