3441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is House Edge and how it effects gambling on: October 09, 2020, 01:36:29 AM
This is the edge of the gambling developer against the players so technically if the house edge is very high the chance to win on that gambling site is very low which every gamblers don’t like. This must be balance since gambling site wants to create profit as well same as the players. This is so easy to understand mate, and also important to know before you gamble.

I saw a thread in this board not that long ago asking what people thought was an acceptable level for a House Edge and while there was some discussion the consensus seemed to be in the 3% to 5% band as an acceptable House Edge
3442  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: October 09, 2020, 01:10:45 AM
I contacted some of the users from my community to give back those merits, would that help anything?

They can't give the merits back (i.e. undo your sending of those merits). If they send their earned sMerits to you that would just compound the issue.

If you're planning to stick around you should read about the trust system (start with this thread we're in) and the merit system.

As @suchmoon said, sending the merits back to you *could* very likely be perceived as "back-scratching".

Thing is, if these guys are willing to do whatever you ask, how are they different from alts?  :/

Perhaps as a means of "getting rid" of those merits to totally random users, they visit this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5093271.380 I've gone back five pages to April this year, (perhaps go back in that thread even earlier) and gift any posts that are suggested as being merit worthy give *just* *one* merit per user.

Having gone back six months ensures they don't just seed that thread with their own recommendations and one merit per post suggested per user will ensure the merits are cast to the winds in a very random fashion.

Assuming @Rux wants to make amends for past indiscretions.  ??

What Rux did was not the proper use of the Merit system, but there was no real harm either.
3443  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Lauda still on DT? (taking requests!) Update: added Changelog! on: October 08, 2020, 01:32:12 PM
Might not be anything but...

I just had a look at just about every "Is..." that I could find.  On the 26th of September practically all pages dropped their values to zero (it's more striking for those with green scores).  One or two (such as for Vod) drop to zero every few months.  I somehow don't imagine it's because of transitioning to DT 2 from DT 1.
3444  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: October 08, 2020, 10:13:05 AM
I just told some of them, thanks for making me look like a f scammer  Grin

Paying 20 merits per vouch makes *you* look like the scammer all by yourself.  No one else can be held to blame for that one...  You made the conscience decision to squander your only merits (which were air-dropped merits at that).

In terms of the Roulette Wheel, it is the Green Zero, (or Green Double Zero for those wheels that have them).

If you bet black or red and green comes up, you loose.  Put simply, that's the house edge, that 1 in 37 that let's the house rake in some funds.

Because they were on their way to being banned for ban evasion I would guess...

That's what I'm thinking too that nomination forms and registration would have closed now with election coming closer. I don't know if there is a verification for this. But come to think of it, is Kanye experienced enough to run for American president?
He could start trying his popularity with governorship position as others have done.

I mean no disrespect to KW the person, but his initial announcement to run many years ago was a spur of the moment announcement and the recent reaffirmation of intent to run could well have been equally spur of the moment.

I agree that if KW wants to run for public office, doing (as you say) run for Governorship (or even deputy Governor) to understand the nuances of public office first.

I think,
Bitcoin’s value in gold has risen significantly amid surging global economic uncertainty. Gold, and bitcoin, are safe havens from fiat currency devaluation, which historically tends to be incited by surging government debt. Armed with a myriad of technological advantages, accelerating development, and maturing global market, Bitcoin is a store of value to rival gold in the digital age.
So Bitcoin as a digital gold.

The irony being that quote was lifted from yet another site two days earlier:

That's about where you should have hit the pause button and asked yourself "Do you want to continue?"  instead of continuing with this:

I usually find out whether or not an online Casino is registered or not when I got to visit their site and it comes up with a stern message announcing they are not registered in my jurisdiction.
3453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US 2020 Elections data, polls and bets on: October 07, 2020, 06:18:20 AM
Trump just announced he is delaying stimulus package for after elections, and all markets dropped after this including Bitcoin.

If the price of bitcoin dropped, I must have blinked as it seems to be about the same as it has been for days/weeks now.  With the election just under a month no one should be enabling mammoth financial packages that might not make it past election day.  There should be a period of "Caretaker" mode the same as in Australia, the UK, New Zealand and Canada between when an election is called and when the returns are declared and the winner decided.

Bit rich claiming from the same giveaway two days in a row:

( kamrul50 ) hibernates between 02 July 2019, 02:50:19 don't post again until 25 January 2020, 13:46:53 change their password then in the next two weeks three users register, are also from Bangladesh and also claim from this campaign.  (not to mention the negative feedback trust for having multiple alts)

2/4/2020 5:28:31 PM    password changed                kamrul50

Post 129   05 February 2020, 03:29:25 Date Registered:    Lrshohag
Post 88      19 February 2020, 16:06:37 Date Registered:   kakamrul   - Bhurungamari, Kurigram, Bangladesh   (male)
Post 114   23 February 2020, 02:05:45 Date Registered:    mrmamun      - Bangladesh   (male)

One of kamrul50 alts is amongst those who are claiming in the give away thread:

mrmamun was also identified as having an alt in that same thread/post started by @sabotag3x  :

#78
mdmamun & mrmamun
Evidence 1, Evidence 2
Eth address: 0xF372448E4E9C21893278236068bEb367d0F40B4f

Conclusion:

To me it's very probable that mrmamun is an alt not just of mdmamun but of kamrul50 and kakamrul as well.

I'm also leaning towards Lrshohag being an alt as well due to the similarities in the giveaway thread and dates:

15 January 2018, 00:51:10 Date Registered:    kamrul50

17 March 2018, 00:24:03 Date Registered:    mdmamun (banned)

1/4/2019 10:03:52 PM    Changed to Archived status    Autoban user   mdmamun

02 July 2019, 02:50:19 kamrul50 does not post again until 25 January 2020, 13:46:53

1/7/2020 4:41:31 PM    woke up         mdmamun (banned)

25 January 2020, 13:46:53 kamrul50 resumes posting - first post since 02 July 2019, 02:50:19
25 January 2020, 15:09:51 Last Active:       mdmamun (banned)

2/4/2020 5:28:31 PM    password changed   kamrul50
05 February 2020, 03:29:25 Date Registered:    Lrshohag
05 February 2020, 17:42:14 2nd post by kamrul50 since resuming posting.

19 February 2020, 16:06:37 Date Registered:    kakamrul
23 February 2020, 02:05:45 Date Registered:    mrmamun

19 June 2020, 05:28:08 four alts identified.

Today at 00:21:17 Last Active:          Lrshohag
Today at 03:27:23 Last Active:          kakamrul
Today at 03:38:44 Last Active:          kamrul50
Today at 05:20:01 Last Active:          mrmamun

kakamrul and mrmamun are otherwise unconnected, yet they both claim in the same merit give away thread, are from Bangladesh, and first register within three and a half days of each-other.  They are identified in the same post by @sabotag3x as each having an alt, one is banned while the others' alt also claims in this thread.

Reporting:

These alts have been reported by me in the "[Report] Ban Evasion [Requesting Admin/mod to check those and ban]" thread for ban evasion - Yes

I have marked these user's trust feedback pages with distrust

Related Addresses:

There are a great many addresses, twitter/telegram profile names which would require a more in-depth investigation at a later date.

Miscellaneous:

I would not be surprised if more of those claiming in the "Can you sign a message?" thread turn out to be alts as well.

How does one *partly* own an alt account?

Sounds a little bit weird, I agree...
But I think, the explanation is simplier than we thought!

It is simply an advertising account, I think.
Simply controlled by part of the alleged Crypto.Games staff (For your example: Lutpin).
In simple terms, a work tool that several employees use, I think... Smiley

But what is suspicious, is that the real advertising account, from which current campaigns are also launched, is this one:

Crypto.Games = https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1050602

Perhaps they both are:

I'm just parking this here:

From the Mk I known alts thread:

P.S.: This user changed his/her password recently.Checking the post history, the alt seems to be a programmer and after the sell was done, the alt was followed the same posting style as BMS ,those bold letters with red color increased font, just like he does on his main profile.

Missed the pass change part somehow. I guess the others that are advertising the same avatars and signatures are his alts as well.

Lutpin...

Currently on road, will edit this post with the pastebin later along with some little other changes.

Pastebin is here -> http://pastebin.com/AvaicGgp

I have added the two accounts,
aswell as the alt I'm currently holding (Crypto-Games.net).

How does one *partly* own an alt account?

I am testing out quoting from a locked thread:

This thread should really be made a "sticky" in the marketplace section.

There's far too much speculation that an account is an alt of in this thread based on speculation and wrong assumptions https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1206112.msg12690220#msg12690220 .

There's also a dedicated section for Scam Accusations.

Take your time and do your research - it's not a race to be the first to "claim" a scalp.

Discovered 3 of them before you, good job though. Ecua has tagged nearly all of them

As to seven,

It would have been nice to connect lokos1913a and Turing56 but it turned out to be an assumption - this is why I quote the link, not just post a link, so that another person who comes along can read and may recall having read something which doesn't connect for my search, but the next person goes Ah and can see a connection.

This was my very first post in the Mk I Known Alts thread (as you can see I was already offering advice  Cool )

Thanks for clearing out. New in this things that's why didn't noticed. Will be fixing those now.

You don't read the first post in a thread you're about to post in?

See how your post ends in "Q3" you've "replied" to someone else's post by clicking "quote".  Had you clicked "reply" your post would have ended with "Q4".
