3441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: September 11, 2021, 01:31:33 AM
I guess we can't expect that the odds will be available soon since the fight is more than a month from now. I don't see anything special on both fighters, even on the undefeated one as they just have an average KO power.

for Jamel Herring , 11-23 only, means 48% KO rate.
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/634455

For Shakur Stevenson 8-16, that's 50% KO rate.
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/790719

I don't want to judge it now, but with that low Ko rate, I think this fight will go to distance.

Yes, I would say that although this two are US based, not that much hype, because obviously, it's a lower weight. Nevertheless, even if the records of this two are not that good in terms of KO percentage, they could be in stage wherein they can face Oscar Valdez in the near future as the OP said. At least a solid $1 mil for a fighter at this weight class is already high. So let's wait for Valdez to win his fight tonight and then the winner of this fight might face him in the future.
3442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: New Way to make passive income on: September 10, 2021, 10:54:37 PM
LOL, this post gives me a good chuckle, there's no way that someone will make a passive income thru gambling. Maybe if you have some investment platforms wherein we can take part of your earnings, then maybe, we can call it passive income. But playing and spending our hard earn money to gamble and then think that we can always win against your house edge? Nah, this is very wrong. And for those members who think otherwise, then you have to think again as there's no way that you can live and bring food for your family, there is a huge risk involved.
3443  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going to $53k or down to $48k? (Bullish Scenario) on: September 10, 2021, 02:54:36 AM
The volatility is increasing. It is safer not to play with the price for now. In times like these I would rather just hodl and wait for the better days to come. The risk of trading Bitcoin short term is high but it is significantly lowered to the minimum if you are looking at the long term.

We certainly cannot predict Bitcoin's price tomorrow or the day after it but we are almost assured that years from now the price is definitely higher than today.

We are in pandemic times and this is the hardest time to HODL Bitcoin because of this pandemic I have to sell half of my share to sustain my livelihood, my country is one of the hardest, I'm trying to keep the remaining shares because with all the prediction I just knew Bitcoin will reach 6 digits maybe not this year but definitely next year.

I understand your situation of course. These are difficult times. Jobs are lost, businesses are down, shops and stores are closed, etc. It is completely all right to let go of some of our precious Bitcoin to support our needs. At the end of the day we are stacking Bitcoin so that we have something to use when the day comes. We are not hodling for the sake of hodling. We are hodling for our dear life. Perhaps now is one of those rainy days when Bitcoin could help us a lot. Better days will come soon for sure.

To each his own I guess, of course we really need to take care of ourselves, bring food in the table for our family. But if you have financially plan your self ahead of crypto investments, I doubt that you will have to touch your bitcoin savings because of the pandemic. I'm not saying that I'm good at financial planning, but I'm talking about my experience of being a Bitcoin holder for many years. For the scenario, we are still in the $46,000 give and take, but everything still looks good for us in the last couple of months before the end of the year.
3444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware store now accepts Bitcoin! on: September 10, 2021, 02:11:56 AM
As the saying goes, 'big things started small', so hopefully this will be the case for you.

Accepting Bitcoin will have a lot of pros and cons, but definitely if you are a supporter of it, no matter what comes in the future, you will stick with it. And hopefully if some of your buyers notice he BTC logo, who knows, maybe they will be interested as well, so you are like a bridge and part of the bigger picture in the future.
3445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 10, 2021, 01:32:07 AM
An exciting big fight to consider and it's all happening by the end of the year. There's one more watch to wait for since the biggest fights have happened already and there's one more to wait. What a year to end with this match and I think they're all set and got the hint of the year when they're going to have this. The trio of this match that also includes another boxer makes it more interesting to what we're looking forward after this match but yeah, let's not go down straight to that and just look up to the current and wait until this match comes since there could be a lot of things to happen just like how Pacquiao-Ugas happened unexpectedly.
Is there official announcement about this fight to happen this year? Where it will be held? If this is really true then its a nice event before this year end. These boxers has gain popularity because of their confidence and efficiency on their career and many fans are waiting for this fight to happen. Can Casimero break the record of Inoue as undefeated? We'll find out the moment they face each other in the ring.

I try to search for it, so there's no official announcement for this fight, but it looks like this is going to happen late this year or early 2021. The hype has been building specially the disrespect that Casimero show on Inoue.

We can't answer that, only in the fight we will see if Casimero have what it takes to break and take Inoue's 0. But for sure the odd favorite here will be Inoue.
3446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Roulette Strategy on: September 10, 2021, 01:02:36 AM
Ha, the most game played in a casino because of the excitement that it can bring. And as others have said, no strategy for this game, and even those who are supposedly sharing their secrets online, still not proof that you can bet the system in any given day. The only way to beat roulette, and this is on land base casino, is to find a roulette machine that is biased. Meaning, it tends to draw a particular number or in a particular quadrant. Maybe it is because the way they put the machine in there, or that part of the area is somewhat not align, thus it's leaning towards a certain spot.
3447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 09, 2021, 11:50:32 PM
I can't believe it that the Djokovic vs Zverev match happened in the semi finals... this should have been a final for us but nevertheless we all know the joker is equal to the task and he will be in the finals for sure. Should he progress which he will I see a Serbia vs Russia final awaiting us which should push Djokovic for another grand slam once he wins the US Open.

Well we have been waiting for this kind of semifinals, and now that we have it. Djokovic vs Zverev, hard to predict this one as Zverev is really playing very good, but we all know who Djokovic is. Might be safe for a Over bet in this one, Djokovic odds is 1.41 ML.

And the young talent Leylah Fernandez is still on my wildcards to win this one,any body putting some money on her but this lady Sabalenka is quite good.

We will see, a lot of surprises in the ladies side. they are now in the first set, too close to call, but Sabalenka leading 5-4, but Fernandez serving to stay on the match.
3448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was it the El Salvador news that plunge the market yesterday on: September 09, 2021, 02:29:32 AM
Digital currency market plunged yesterday and is still in a state of shock. I don't know what the market trend will be next. Who will have a better suggestion? ? ?
The dump was on perfect timing, maybe whales takes profit so El Salvador can have a Bitcoin at a cheaper price of most of the Citizen of El Salvador sold their $30 worth of Bitcoin. Actually, there’s a lot of possible reason of a dump yesterday, and its more on whale manipulation. Don’t be shocked, this has been the scenario since then so if you know what I’m saying, better to buy now because for sure the price will recover again.

Yes, as we all know in this market, timing is everything, and that's what this manipulators have done, they dump when there is the news about El Salvador. So we may speculate that it was due to this news and not from them. And even if they sold their $30 worth of Bitcoin, there's no way that it was just in matter of hours.

But we can smell some whales that really manipulate the market from behind. Nevertheless, they've done this in the past, so let's just remain calm, @$43k, we are still safe from further downside.
3449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: September 09, 2021, 01:35:10 AM
I would love to see Inoue taking on against Casimero, not just because of the hype that Casimero brought to make their fight happen but because they of equal footing i guess. And if this fight happens, there would be a KO to be expected. I think Donaire is just too old and slow compared to Inoue nor Casimero.
Donaire is still on his shape, well age do matter but as long as it's still recognizable and he's in shape. We shouldn't worry about him getting in figure while the match isn't on him.
I'm also thinking and being positive that we're going to see a great punch that will lead any of them to victory via ko.

Yes, he is still in better shape and not past his prime, he won his last fight and become a champion again. Maybe age is just numbers for this superior athletes, they are very discipline individual and invested time on themselves to keep in shape throughout.

So no need to underestimate Nonito, he still can fight, although it seems that fellow Pinoy Casimero will have a crack at Inoue first before Donaire.
3450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 09, 2021, 12:58:38 AM
odds tonight are showing that Zverev and Djokovic will met in semi-final, and it is pretty certain that it will happen in the end
Zverev is a bit higher @1.15, and Djokovic is really low @1.12 against Berrettini, which shows inequality on tennis top players, three players from top10 are on Djokovic way to the title, and odds to win the tournament are around @1.5

nevertheless, planning to take over games on Djokovic - Berrettini match, waiting to see best possible number

The match is about to start, it should have started earlier, but we have some delays.

I'm thinking of taking the under though on the Djokovic vs Berrettini, I have a feeling that Djokovic will not allow or not drop in this match so that he can headed on the next match win at least good rest.

So goodluck to all bettors, and we do hope to see Zverev vs Djokovic in the semifinals.
3451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 08, 2021, 11:48:02 PM
With that spirit, I think there is a good chance for him winning with a KO.

I have my doubts if Anderson Silva and his MMA techniques will be enough to knock out Tito Ortiz, in Boxing there is no favorite until the fight is over.
Spider has a moving ability that Tito probably doesn't have, but a single hard hit from Tito would make Spider fall apart easily and end the fight's brilliance.

Anyway, Boxing isn't a sport that I enjoy, but as I'm an Anderson Silva fan, I'm going to bet on it and keep up with it, hoping not to witness a tragedy.

I think @Betwrong quoted that from Tito Ortiz, because he has a bet on him,  Grin.

Yeah, it might not be enough to knock out anyone in his boxing exhibition fight, but it will be enough to take a W against Tito Ortiz.

And as others have said, “Fights begin and end with handshakes.”, so let's see how this fight goes, for sure there is still mutual respect from this two warriors.
3452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 08, 2021, 03:46:57 AM
Luis Ortiz is a very dangerous opponent.  Don't underestimate him.  His nickname in his youth is King Kong.

Therefore, I do not exclude that King Kong will defeat the Spider in a fierce battle.

Who is Luis Ortiz? Anderson “Spider” Silva will fight Tito “ The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Ortiz.
I think you have confused something. Wrong Tito my friend. Plus Luis is a heavyweight. He and Anderson Silva will never meet in the ring.

He might have been mistaken, Luis Ortiz is a Cuban professional boxer, he is heavyweight and have fights with Deontay Wilder. LOL.

In any case, even if they meet on their primes, I will still have Anderson Silva winning. We have seen him during his MMA days as one of the best pound for pound. But both of them have retired and fighting in a boxing ring, just for the money.
3453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CZ Wants Your Opinion on: September 08, 2021, 02:04:58 AM
CZ recently tweeted " Only 1 country in the world uses #crypto as legal tender. Just the beginning".

{..snip..}

What's Your Opinion. This is really a Beginning or wants to take more time?

We can't really tell, maybe there will be a lot of nations that will follow El Salvador path's, specially neighboring countries in Latin and South America. Or maybe some in Africa and Asia as well.

So this is a just a beginning, in my opinion. If developing or underdeveloped nations find that bitcoin or crypto will help them a lot then why not? But don't expect though that bitcoin will become the world's financial instrument, I doubt that it will happen, the US dollar is still the king.
3454  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going to $53k or down to $48k? (Bullish Scenario) on: September 08, 2021, 01:34:57 AM
Well, even then it could be that bitcoin has just finished its wave 1 and will be on the way to its wave 2 where we will find bitcoin at $48k again.

Spot on prediction, this is what actually happened in the last 24 hours. Wave 1 has finished around $52,000 and then it's wave 2 wherein the price goes to $48,000 because of some influence or whales selling at $52,000.

What do you think about bitcoin price predictions?

And now that we are in wave 2, then expect the price to settled down and then we are going to see some sideways pattern again before hitting $50,000 again and then goes to $55,000 in the next two weeks. Still very exciting for traders and long term holders, as this is a golden opportunity to buy.
3455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: September 08, 2021, 12:51:13 AM
This is what Oscar Valdez says:

Quote
"I have never used banned substances to improve my performance. I never have and never will. I am respectful of anti-doping tests since my time as an amateur and now as a professional," Valdez said.

"And since I've been a professional I have undergone more than 30 anti-doping tests, which is something we always ask for and we make sure that [drug testing] is in the contract, to do the VADA tests to keep the sport clean and to make sure that no one has any advantage."

https://www.boxingscene.com/oscar-valdez-i-never-banned-substances-improve-my-performance--160320

Yeah, we take his word, but seriously, how can someone who says who didn't take any ban substance was caught here? His A and B sample turns out to be positive, if it is only A sample, probably he get it from somewhere else, but both his samples are positive.

So I agree with some posters that he might have used this one to mask some other substance, or his condition coach forgot about the recycling calendar.

We are not experts in this area, let's leave it to the expert I guess. The fact that the fight still continues despite the findings, that would only say that he did not violate any rules and therefore there's no reason to speculate that he should be ban or sanction for being positive of such drugs substances.

What do you mean by 'experts" though? Urine and blood samples don't lie, he was tested twice and come up to be positive.

I'm not an expert in this area, but Valdez is not denying the fact that he has failed the drug test. But his defense is that he didn't used any drugs. So we will just have to used our common sense here as who is telling the truth or not. Science or Valdez himself, make your choice.

Anyhow, as @bisdak40 said, just a couple more days and we will see this fight. Still a must watch fight.

So is there an unfair judgment here?

He was tested positive for ban substances and does the fight still continues?
What does it implicate to the boxing organization? Are they now more on the money than the reputation of the sport?

Lots of questions in our mind now but it will never change the decision since the fight still continues, and probably they know how it would impact so it's not a big deal I guess.

Yeah, but this is not the first time that we have seen someone tested positive for a supposedly ban substance and then they allow the fight to continue. Canelo's case is one.

Lots of questions, but if you look closely, yes, it's all about money now, as boxing is a billion dollar business, promoters will get their cut on the fighters, the network and casino's around invested a lot of money so they will have to get it back and make profits, and then fighters being paid for their services.
3456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 08, 2021, 12:05:26 AM
After the first two sets I would have thought that will be a walk for Medvedev but after the 3rd set it has now become an exciting game, Zandschulp has improved after the first two clear sets and is now better in the game and can also challenge Medvedev, there is the possibility that it comes to a 5th set, would be for us spectators of course optimal and interesting.

Medvedev drop a set for the first time in the third set, I also thought that it will go to a fifth set as van de Zandschulp really put a good performance in fourth, however, Medvedev closes out the show.

Alcaraz vs Felix-Auger, another exciting quarter finals match, this has the potential to become a thriller game and extended to fifth set, I would go over for this.
3457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 06, 2021, 12:55:11 AM
Alcaraz pull another escape again, vs Gojowczyk, it was a fifth set match. He was down 2-1 and come back and win the next 6 games with complete domination.

Alcaraz pull in the fifth set, 6-0, wonder Gojowczyk might be mentally tired as well as he was outlasted.

Tiafoe vs Felix Auger, I put a bet on Tiafoe -1.5, and this game will probably last four sets at least as Felix is trying to tie the score 1-1 in the second.
3458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 77% of Russian investors prefer Bitcoin to Gold and Forex on: September 06, 2021, 12:25:53 AM
this is very excited and shocking the Russian government.  it is clear that a significant increase occurred at a rapid time, in recent years people have started to switch investments to crypto..

Yeah, they could have been switching to crypto, but the amount of money flowing from gold to crypto is insignificant in my opinion. For one, if gold investors doesn't understands crypto's volatility, then might not switch at all or just testing the waters and putting minimal investments.

The Russian government in power can't do much about this happening phenomenon..

Of course, no one can really stop crypto, unless they put a blanket ban. And even if they do that, still there could be Russians buying underground thru P2P.
3459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just in case on: September 05, 2021, 03:22:11 AM
I'd never forgotten that idea.
I always have cash stashed in my house. I even told my wife when we are starting to build our family, I don't want every money going into banks or other types of savings. There should always be cash left at home in case of emergency.
Up until now, we never forget it. Even if I invested with different coins or projects I won't touch a single penny on that money.
Its purpose is different and should not be spent.

Yeah, specially when the pandemic arrives, its hard to withdraw on banks because of the panic that's why it's better to have some cash on hand stash somewhere in your house.

So I would also define that as diversification per se, ready hand on cash if needed.

For crypto, of course, diversification also never fails, it just how are you going to diversify, what crpyto coins. There could be someone out there putting 100% on crypto, not bad, but you should always prepare for the worst as well.
3460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 05, 2021, 02:57:30 AM
in the atp tour Nishikori was able to win the first set in the tie break and was leading 1-0 but Djokovic won 6-3 in the second set and is really struggling.
after Djokovic broke Nishikori's serve in the beginning of the second set, a big roar from Serbian came out showing how big of a pressure he's in every single match, everyone now is expecting him to win every match, and the media is playing a big role at that, now every time he loses a set it seems to them as if it's a big deal, even though he's quite successful this year but everyone keep expecting more and more, in some ways it sucks to be him.

Yeah, that's how Djokovic win, I mean he will lose one set and then totally destroyed his opponents on the next game. I'm not really sure if there is pressure, but he is mentally prepared to beat everyone in his path. Pressure could come in if this is the semis or finals. For him this is just an ordinary game that he needs to focus and win every point as much as he can.
