And we've been on the same block for almost two hours.  Is this normal variance?

Code:
Est. Avg. Time per Round   0 Hours 19 Minutes
Time Since Last Block   1 Hours 57 Minutes

Probably just variance if I had to guess.
3442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of GPU RAM for Litecoin Mining on: April 03, 2013, 11:16:08 PM
I wouldn't think that the increased RAM would cause any difference in hashing speed.

I think the bottleneck is the memory speed / engine speed.

Yes- I am a terrible, terrible man. I'm not sure how I sleep at night.

In all seriousness.... Yes I'm wasting water, but if these weren't going then I'd be using a lot more electricity, which would have a similar effect to the eco system (nuclear power plant emissions).

Also, water is so so so cheap here that maybe my neighbors bill is like $0.25 more than normal....

You are also playing devil's advocate BR0KK, if you were really that worried about the ecosystem, then you wouldn't be wasting all that power to run a 4 GPU rig....

Speeder, Glendall, Khamark,

You guys should have the correct permissions now. Let me know if it's still not working. For some reason I am having to switch some people over twice because it's not saving for some weird reason.
3445  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling 3 CoinHoarder's Group-Buy Avalon Group Shares on: April 03, 2013, 02:23:00 AM
Auction is now closed. After some confusing last posts the winners:

mrbrt: 1 @ 2.0x
Gredo: 1 @ 1.9x
CoinHoarder: 1 @ 1.9x

If anyone disagrees with above based on the posts here let me know. Apologize for the confusion.

Please send payment to: 1MUSpdcyLhP6WXD2ZvxFEuQtfVnYUakr1h

After confirmation I will post on our private forum about the sale and coinhoarder will adjust accordingly.

Thanks TheJuice

I'm water cooling 6 5970s using an unique technique.

Two 250cfm fans into two Ice Box heat exchangers with water flowing from my washer hookup back to the drain (my neighborhood splits the water bill  Wink)

It cools down the room quite a bit. You can feel the water inlet tube and it is cold, the water outlet tube is hot like it should be, so that means it's working.  Grin

This setup has been running stable for over a month with no problems.

3448  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Somebody is trying to steal batch 1 Avalon shippments from DHL! on: April 03, 2013, 12:29:35 AM
I trust that the Avalon team has learned from Batch 1 that tracking numbers are needed.

No need to beat a dead horse.

Bump-

For any investors that missed the news, we have our own forums now (the reason why this thread is dead.)

If you haven't already, please go sign up for the forums with the same user name as you use on Bitcointalk.org

After you've signed up, please PM me your email address you've used to sign up (PM me this here on bitcointalk) so that I can confirm your identity. You will not have posting privileges until this is completed. This security measure was initiated so that some random guy can't go sign up for our forums and sell all your shares to themselves for free.

Manipulation!! Insiders pumping the price UPPPPP!!!

Just kidding of course Wink

Hehe Smiley

Naw.. I just think this will be a good investment, because BFL can't find their way out of a paper bag much less release a finished product. I bet they are AT LEAST a month out, if not 2 or 3 months, from delivering a final product.

I wish I had more BTC at the time I started the group buy so I wouldn't have to pay almost double per share, but I think it is still a fair price judging by the numbers.
3451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to kill LTC for dummies on: April 02, 2013, 03:40:58 AM
I fail to see how mining on a bot net will kill LTC.

People mined BTC on bot nets for years (and probably still do)....

Maybe if you gained 51%, but it would take many more bots than you suggest... plus the little tidbit that there is little to no incentive to do it..

3455  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Somebody is trying to steal batch 1 Avalon shippments from DHL! on: April 01, 2013, 11:27:05 PM
That's messed up. Hopefully there are tracking numbers in batch 2/3. I don't want to have to worry about the Avalons getting here.
3456  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 06:57:43 PM
and some people do not understand sarcasm.  Wink

How am I supposed to know you're not actually stupid enough to believe that?  Cheesy Tongue

Sarcasm is hard to pick up on sometimes in written dialog unless it is blatantly obvious, it's not that I don't understand it..
3457  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 06:52:59 PM
Wow this is great news.   And now that they are shipping and they can make 500, oops, 300 per day as they stated, when will we see the other 299 rigs that they shipped on the first day go up?

They are not shipping...

People don't understand that BFL shipping a PROTOTYPE to a BFL EMPLOYEE doesn't mean they are actually shipping finished products to customers yet.
3458  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Survey about the status of Avalon batch 1 deliveries on: April 01, 2013, 05:57:10 PM
The flaw in your poll is that any random anybody can vote in the poll and they might not have even ordered a batch 1 Avalon.

Therefore, this polls results are meaningless.

What's the over/under on how long it hashed until it starting smoking and caught on fire??  Cheesy

The confirmation email worked for me, but I'm unable to post.

It just says "(You have insufficient privileges to reply here.)"

Yes, please PM me the email you are registering at the forums with to confirm your identity (that way people cant go sign up as you and sell all your shares to themselves).
