3441  Economy / Economics / Re: Simple reason why crypto is preferred over fiats on: October 21, 2021, 09:07:26 PM
Bitcoin is a better choice in so many ways than using Fiat. But a lot of people have reasons why they are scared to make use of Bitcoin, and I think one thing that scares them most is the fact that it is volatile. Though from what I have understood, these people wants to make profit, but they are not ready to take the risks for making that profit, they just want the money they put into a crypto wallet to keep increasing in value while they don’t experience the loss side of it at all.

These are people who are looking for quick gains, unfortunately it doesn’t work that way, it only favors those that are ready to have patience and plan themselves rightfully.
This means that they consider crypto as an investment, not in the form of currency. But if they are both considered it as a form of currency it surely they will choose fiat over crypto.

PROFIT is what they think and to admit that it was really profitable investment than any others but the risk is also high. However, we neglected to see crypto being used as a form of currency since it wasn't yet fully accepted globally. If only we are free to use that anywhere, I guess, people will still choose crypto as it was easy and fast to use.

If PBA is not rigged, there's no way the Magnolia will be able to beat the TNT in game 2.

Sorry, I'm just saying the facts, TNT just played very well that Magnolia looks like a bunch of rookies.
TNT had offense everywhere, they are clicking because they are confident in making shots.

by the way, Williams might missed game 2.

3443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 21, 2021, 06:17:05 AM
No update yet regarding the schedule of the fight? Is it going to happen this year or next year?

, what makes Donaire slowed down a bit is because he is not getting any younger, but despite that, he still prove to the boxing community that he is still here because he beat a champion to steal the belt, we can see it in his previous fight and on how impressive he was.
If he was slow in his last fight then Nordine Oubaali would easily hit him, I don't think he has slowed down already.
Yes, there's no doubt that he is not getting any younger because he is already 38 years old now but age is just a number for a champion and he can still go toe to toe against a younger fighter, even Gaballo and we shall see this big fight hopefully soon.
While he still looked fine during his last fight we also know that a drop in performance can happen very abruptly, this is what happened to Manny, he still looked as if he could fight a few more years if he wanted but thanks to the fact he wants to be president and his age he did not looked fine during his last fight, now Donaire is younger than Manny but at the same time he is not Manny so it is likely a drop in his performance could happen sooner rather than later.
And let us accept the reality that Age is really changing the ability and capacity of every boxers , Yes in their prime they might be given 100% accuracy and stamina but years passed this will eventually lessen and yes Donaire is not getting any younger so every changes is normal  i believe and this may change also in the enxt following fight .
He might get Oubaali but we Knew this fighter is far different comparing to Nonito's toughest opponent Inoue so lets see what comes in the next games .

That's true but as long as Donaire still keeps winning, I will never doubt his capacity, and he is the current champion so I should respect him. This is a better between a young and hungry fighter against an experience champion, we know who would likely win but if you believe on the ability of Gaballo, you should never doubt putting a bet for him.
3444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scammers put bad impact to Our Government about Bitcoin Transections. on: October 20, 2021, 09:05:36 PM

I think Digital Currency like Crypto isn't getting much popularity because of these Scammers. They are one of the most strong reason why Government's aren't showing interest on Crypto Transections.

You can't tell that because despite all these negative and abusive use of crypto (like scamming and fraudulent activities) still it gains more attention than before. A lot of rich people and businessmen are investing in it now because of its popularity and market profit. And besides, these scammers and cheaters had already been existing before crypto and never have to blame crypto for why they come.

Although this could create some doubts and uncertainty in the community, however, for the risk-takers and techy people, it was just fine as they know how to avoid them. We don't need the government to have an interest, only we need them to understand and give support.
3445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins? on: October 20, 2021, 08:20:55 PM
We all know that long term investment in Bitcoin is reasonable but how reasonable do you think long term investment in Altcoins is?
I think long-term investment in Altcoins is full of risks but short time investment is more profitable. Do you agree with me?
Investing in crypto is risky either it was Bitcoin or Altcoin, The same thing you do. But it has become reasonable if you are investing in potential altcoins, not shitcoins.

Why these people are committed to investing and holding long-term is that because they trust those projects and believe that these could give them a fortune. We'd looked like that but the volatility of the market makes it risky, however, it was not the hindrance to why we invest.

Not all short-term investment gives you more profit...still it depends on the project that you were involved.
3446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 20, 2021, 11:13:22 AM
34-53 in favor of TNT, that's the halftime score.

Probably that's the reason why the handicap keeps rising, but I'm hoping that Magnolia will be able to have a big run in the 3rd quarter.

ML odds - Magnolia 9,75 and spread is +16.5. Good luck, choose your pick now.  Smiley
3447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: October 20, 2021, 06:38:07 AM
Yes, you are right, sometimes it is not worth betting on shakur, all the statistics do not favor him, although to tell the truth many times the numbers can fail, from a sporting point of view, I know that when one prepares very well for a fight , the result is usually quite good regardless of the probabilities, that means that a very strong training day and night very hard can surprise even the best boxer with the most experience, also I have seen that Shakur has a lot of speed for the blows What can fail him is strength, and I think that is the point that can make him lose.

For sure both fighter are preparing for this big fight, statistics sometimes may not properly justify the full potential of a fighter and some statistics are overrated might as well to look back for the video of a fighters past and recent fights and assess what does the fighter really capable of and not capable of inside the ring whoever the opponents that he may fight in his future fights. But past records of a fighter could be also a good basis for finding which one does good for betting too. However looking at the fighters I think Herring did say it right that their fight will be a hard fight for Stevenson/

Of course, he would say that because he is confident that he will win the fight, however, the bookies will only base the odds on what people think about this fight and I'm sure they'll ask all the fans about this fight, the majority will favor Stevenson, but it doesn't mean he is guaranteed to win, that's why as a better we are gambling on that possibility.
3448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 20, 2021, 06:06:36 AM
Man… We wait all summer to see the new look Lakers and the Nets back in action and they both lose. Not totally out of the realm of being expected since the Lakers are still trying to figure out how to play together and the Nets are without their point guard. Still, I’m hoping this doesn’t last too long. I want to see some highlights and blowouts!
We can understand why the Nets lose because Irving was not playing, but the Lakers... no.. Westbrook was not performing as expected, I don't know what's in the mind of Lebron now, maybe he is thinking if he can undo the trade, lol.. anyway, this is just 1 game, let's see if they'll bounce back in their next game.

BTW, LeBron was playing very well, his outside shooting was spectacular.
3449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba is worth the risk on: October 19, 2021, 11:47:12 PM
...

I don't need to warn you that this isn't a financial advice, 20-40$ won't take your life away anyways, I'm just saying it's possible that Elon musk will push Shiba inu too if the chance comes
If EM will announce it on soical media that will surely get a massive buying demand as they think of the same scenario to Dogecoin before but we hear nothing from him yet and we don't know if he will shill another meme coin again. That something looks very interesting.

Anyways, the SHIB Inu project grow to the highest level without EM, I really don't think if the developers want him to ruin the project as he did to Doge. I guess, EM must have to stay away from crypto anymore, he can still invest but I suggest not to shill any projects as it helps to retain respect to him.
3450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interest on Bitcoin on: October 19, 2021, 08:42:48 PM
Wondering how many of you earn interest on your Bitcoin?

Do you feel this is risky, whoever owns the private key owns the BTC ?

Also any resources for a high interest rate I think around 6% is the highest, these are some I have seen Liquity, Blockbank, Voyager, Nexo

thanks!
I'd rather have to take control of my Bitcoin than let someone do that.
Anyway, I just hold some while I converted the others to fund the business outside crypto coz I believe it was more secure than putting it on the banks or third party. Guess what, we can make more investment returns if we have to work on it,  we can probably earn more than 6% and have a lesser risk.

We should be wise enough OP, it is more on a strategical mindset but if you're not, well, having 6% is good enough. However, letting someone holds your Bitcoin is literally at high risk. I guess you just have to think about it deeply.
3451  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Cryptocurrency for 1 Week! on: October 19, 2021, 08:12:40 PM
...I trade crypto for 1 week - in order to show you all that anyone can do it, and so you can see how well I do in the course of 1 week.

Based on the results of one week, it is still too early to give recommendations to others, because you have not yet gained enough trading experience to pass it on to others. I will note that it is very easy to trade with profit when the market is bullish and it is very difficult not to lose your money when it changes its direction.
And the possible chances are he might lose next week or that he gains more. I think, what he did is just to show that trading can be learned by anyone but to make a good profit may not and that he stops only at 1-week coz if he shows the whole month in trading then people will able to see his losses. This is how the promotions went through, they only have to show or tell the pros while hiding all the negative issues.

3452  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you explain the October pump? on: October 18, 2021, 11:04:09 PM
Everyone was blaming September for the dip like it was a dip holiday and just waiting for October for the pump. And as soon as October came - and I mean literally, like the first day of October - prices started to go up and it started to pump. How??
TRUST and Huge PROFIT...
These things brought people to come to crypto and invest in Bitcoin in particular. Because despite those negative news, banning of China, SEC regulation but still, many were still encouraged to put their money in a very risky investment. Do they are hoping for luck? I don't know but they did this because they believe that they can get something from here, yes, yet it was risky but profiting especially when we work hard on it.
3453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Rolando Romero - December 5 on: October 18, 2021, 04:57:07 PM
Another video I uncovered, sparring session between Rolando Romero and Ryan Garcia,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEYYDeRGHAA

No doubt that this kid has a bright future in boxing, this video is 4 years old, pre-pandemic. We don't know how much Rolly has improved, but Davis is on another level, more polished and technical boxer than Rolly. You can see the Ryan keeps tagging him with that left hook, but he keeps on coming back. Not sure though if Davis tags him with a powerful left, he might go down.

They are wearing protective gears we have no way of knowing if he can take a punch from a guy who has power on both hands, it's very different wearing when you are wearing protective gear than when you are in a real fight inside the ring, Devonta can floor anyone with just a jab, Romero will pay all the disrespect that he's been giving to Gervonta come fight night.

Well you can see him always adjusting when Ryan his him with that left hook, it means he is somewhat bothered by the punch, maybe he got sting a bit. Definitely, it's different when you have the protective gear but from the video itself I would say that he is affected by Ryan's power. So just imagine Tank Davis hits him with a left hook square in the chin, it can easily be shattered by the power and he could go down in my opinion.

Sparring sessions are part of the practice only, and there's no way to easily know that a fighter would be as good in the sparring session and in the actual fight. Tank Davis is undefeated and he hits really hard, so I believe no fighter at his weight level would be able to recover if gets hit by his signature punch. However, Rolando Romero has his own style as well, he cannot be understimate but IMO, the better fight here is Davis and he'll win the fight.
3454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 18, 2021, 04:33:05 PM
Gennady Golovkin is so far the closest and competitive opponent of Canelo in his career. I also like to see the trilogy between them and hopefully, it can be arranged. They need a part 3. But before that Canelo needs to settle first with Caleb Plant to become an undisputed boxer this year.

Won't be an easy fight for Canelo but I'm sure he can handle Caleb Plant. The latter has attractive odds to win but too risky to gamble with it.

With an unbiased jury, Golovkin would have won the matches of 2017 and 2018. There should have been a rematch in 2019, but Alvarez chickened out and refused to face GGG. Now there is no point in getting a trilogy fight in 2022. The fact remains clear - Canelo was afraid of a defeat in 2019 and therefore refused to face Golovkin for the third time. No matter how much glory he achieves at the boxing ring (there is no doubt that Canelo is an all time great), this one thing will remain as a black mark and haunt him forever.
Just Like Mayweather refuse to take rematch against Manny Pacquiao , it is best to remain Undefeated recorded than facing an opponent that you are in doubt of winning continuously .

there are different types of Boxers .

there are others that want to test their capacity in fighting the toughest .

and there are also those type of Boxers that only looking for Fame .

The problem with Mayweather is that he avoided fighting Pacquiao during in his prime. Though as a businessman, I do understand the move of Mayweather in avoiding him since there is that risk of staining my undefeated record. But as a fighter, it is considered as a 'weak move'. That is also the reason on why many fans from all over the world see Pacquiao as one of the greatest fighters of all time.

Canelo, on the other hand, is a pure warrior and fighter. He challenges all the greatest on his weight division no matter who the fighter may be. But what really molded him to be the best fighter in his weight division was his fight between Mayweather where he lost. He learned so much from that fight that made him a complete force of nature.

Not only that, Mayweather is one of the boring fighters in the world who cares so much of his undefeated record and value it over the entertainment the fans supposed to get. Every time Mayweather fights, we hear boos but it never happened in Canelo's fight because he doesn't run but makes his opponent run.
3455  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learn to trading - any suggestion? on: October 17, 2021, 11:08:51 PM
I am not a professional trader or experienced trader but at least I understand the risks and also all the consequences in trading "even though today is the first time trading". I plan to fight myself against curiosity. no harm in trying right? if I just stand by without Doing It then I will never know what experience is. first capital $100 and also ''ready to lose money''
I only use CMC + CoinGecko as the first material to analyze coins and also PooCoin.
any suggestion? some kind of tool/indicator for trading?
I understand that you are a newbie but your choice about PooCoin seems you were almost losing your money. Actually, this is a new project, and believe you were aware of the risk as you've said earlier. I could say that this is a bad choice, it is better to start learning to trade using the known coins like BTC or BNB.

Maybe because you have a lack of knowledge in trading that brings you there, but I think you should explore the market more and continue to read and watch online tutorials and then apply those things/ideas that you've to know. I believe that you can do it, was just a matter of patience and hard works.
3456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The rise of Axie Infinity on: October 17, 2021, 10:26:50 PM
When you talk about "price prediction", the most common advise that someone will give you is that it's quite impossible to predict which coin is about to make massive gains, and it's true, even with a lot of research people struggle to find those "gems".

But now that we have seen such a massive move from Axie, we could at least try to find out some triggering factors that could have caused this massive rise, because we have more info right now.

What do you believe to be the key factors that could have made this price movement possible?
Gaming NFT's platform has been seeing such huge growth and ability to maintain the momentum they had since their launching. And this Axie Infinity had made such terrific growth despite the huge competition and it gains attention to the investors because of its contribution and application on the market. And base on their current market performance, it looks like this project will even grow more and reaches far. And those who invest in this project seem they are getting a huge profit now but I'm not sure if they will take it to hold longer or just sell them during this surge?
3457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 17, 2021, 09:07:08 PM
It's easier for bettors to decide what team to bet on in the Finals as both teams have an equal chance to win (IMO).

In terms of defense, I think Magnolia has an edge but under Coach Chot Reyes, TNT has really improved a lot.
The advantage of the Magnolia is their inside presence as Sanggalang and Abueva can both dominate inside and I don't think the bigs of TNT would be able to stop them.
We will see as TNT were able to minimize the output of a more dominant big man and the MVP.
TNT is ready for Magnolia, their pesky defense is not new to them, the good news is that TNT now has a lot of shooters and they are more comfortable with the new style of coaching of Chot Reyes.

I'm guessing, the odds for game 1 is TNT -1.5 and Magnolia +1.5
I'll take the underdog here.
3458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is important for a country? or not... on: October 15, 2021, 08:44:02 PM
Indeed, the current level of crypto is not yet legacy and should be respected in every country, there are almost a few countries that claim their territory does not endorse crypto transactions, and it's been a long time since such statements appeared, although crypto has reached new levels but the sovereignty of these countries is still quiet with crypto and still developing the technology in their own way. Unless crypto can become a staple of the economy and become a necessity for everyone, otherwise, the future of crypto is just a fringe product and may become extinct
For now, crypto is still difficult if it becomes a staple of the economy and becomes a necessity for society. Cryptocurrency is still a commodity digital asset platform and nothing more. some real adoption has been done, but it is still very minimal. Crypto is still being developed, so that it can compete and become a tool to improve the country's economy.
It wasn't difficult to adopt but the problem is that not all had a good understanding of Bitcoin and it doesn't make sense as well to adopt crypto but we can't use it as a mode of payment, we still convert our BTC to fiat. And aside from that, there is no legal support from the government which is somewhat a sort of basis for the people to adopt. Until this time, having Bitcoin isn't important for the country, nobody had the urge to invest or buy it as the country will survive itself without crypto, that is the reality.
3459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: October 15, 2021, 02:51:59 PM
I guess you don't have to worry about gambling when you have unlimited sponsorship money! Grin So trusting such streamers is like trusting Twitter's shitcoin shillers!
Gambling is fundamentally unprofitable for players, and by trusting ads that are designed to attract new gamblers you increase the risks!

Seriously these streamers don't care about their audience.

See YouTubers like RiceGum, JapePual.
And recently I've started watching a streamer from the league community and he's promoting a well known gambling casino to their audience knowing full well the majority of the audience is under 18. But that solves after they put 18+ in the video but does that work for people who wants to break rules whenever they can?
A lot of things can easily manage to break online, like giving a fake age during the registration, it is more often possible as nobody asks your ID or KYC just to watch their Channel and streaming. As this online promotion become useful at this time and more attractive, many people were also falling into their promising words and it looks good to be true.

And that you're right, these promoters don't care about the others but just themselves. It is all about how much they get paid, not how much they help the people who are watching them. They might found it guilty but it was too late already.
3460  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Just a piece of advice needed here folks on: October 15, 2021, 02:12:39 PM
Hello everyone, please I really would like how you folks get pull out in a project with huge or reasonably profit locked-in.

I started trading (long-term) for couple of years back now and since then i've been doing averagely okay on whatever altcoins project I put into. But what I seem to be lacking is when to actually get out at the right appropriate time.

At least, if not perfectly okay, a bit fairly okay.
Please my pull out strategy are quite poor, kindly help a soul out before it gets completely worst. 🙏

All ideas are welcome please.

Thank you all! 👍
From what I see is that you want more profit instead of having an average profit in every trade you do. I guess you should have to learn how to be contented. Having such a profit is believably a bit of luck for you knowing that trading is risky and most of the traders had lost. Thinking about more profit is the only that could ruin your day and your strategies. Don't think it was lack, you already have it.

And besides, you can never have perfect trading, perfect timing, but it was the strategies that get involved in this and it's you who makes a good play. If you change these things, I'm not sure if you were still able to retain the momentum you have, probably not.
