3441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China's game plan on: June 30, 2021, 08:50:43 AM
Seems like China is done with Bitcoin. Hash rate has dropped by over 60% in the last few weeks, which confirms that miners are exiting China for good.

Good for us, just a minor set back for bitcoin investors, but in the long term it will be good as the monopoly is broken already. Chinese miners could shift to other countries specially those big boys in the game. And then we have some country or huge companies that can take over specially in Europe.

How does a Bitcoin exit benefit China in the long term? What do you guys think is China's game plan?

Doesn't matter what their game plan is, as long as bitcoin will survived without them then nothing will change.

A lot of chatter about this being "China's trillion dollar mistake". I don't think China's dumb, so keen to hear what they might have up their sleeves.

Not sure if they still have some aces in their sleeves. But for now, we can't do anything about it. But the affected one are obviously those Chinese crypto enthusiast who have been in this game for so long. They can't do anything about it though, because of the total control of the Chinese government on their people.
3442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to libra coins on: June 28, 2021, 12:37:50 PM
I remember before I rest for a while here in bitcoin.org because of some disappointment happened.I remember the libra coins.I thought that libra will be boom by the coming years.because I saw it that this coin was been popular because of facebook.and was been using already purchasing in internet online.but now what happened? Is libra now is gone?
Now I am right that no one can replace of bitcoin to be top in currency.who ever be who made again a new coin and launch it even of a very popular site or a person,I still believe no one will replace bitcoin...

Yes, it's gone, the project has been scraped because of too much pressure from the regulatory commissions around the globe, specially EU and US. So Mark Z, decided to not pursue it. I have to disagree though that it was popular, we haven't seen it so obviously we don't know, lots of what's if.

Yes, so far bitcoin will remain the dominant crypto, regardless of its flaws (slow confirmation time, high transactions fees). There are alts coins, but majority of crypto investors still prefer BTC.
3443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 28, 2021, 11:39:40 AM
Game 5 for Clippers vs Suns.

This is it, we might see the journey of the Clippers end, or they will give a headache to the Suns again. We never know that's why the game is really exciting to watch. Still, there's no news on Leonard, so let's assume that he will still not gonna play in this game, Clippers need to win or they'll go home.

Suns should take this win on their home court, no way that they want to go back to LA again. They should get a win and then take a rest again and wait for the Eastern CF between Hawks vs Bucks. So there's a lot of advantage for them.

If Clippers win this game, then obviously the series will be extended and we don't want, barring any circumstances that a major injury will happen to either of the teams star. Just like what we witnessed with Trae Young in today's game. They almost had it, until that freak accident involving one of the referee. So I'm with the Suns to win the end the series.
3444  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you feel sorry for entering BTC too late remember that entering earlier... on: June 28, 2021, 10:53:19 AM
...couldn't guarantee you the success. Let's say you had 100 BTC in the early days and later you sold them. You will still be better today owning only 1 BTC. Examples can continue.

Same thing happens now. It's not too late to enter today. Why? Because the same scenario is still in place. If you own 1 BTC and you sell today, someone holding only 0.1 BTC will be much richer than you in the coming years.

It's not the amount that counts... what matters is to own BTC and HODL.

Good point, we have seen and heard a lot of bagholders early, who sold, but if they can go back in time, for sure they would just hold on it and wait for the right time to sell and make them millionaire. And then we also have the holders, now they are enjoying the fruits of them staying in the market for so long and not sell a single BTC.

It seems that for majority of us, it's really hard to earn 1 btc, but we can do it, we just have to work for it. And for those who own now, look at the past and maybe you can see your self in the future.
3445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Tank Davis vs Barrios - June 26 on: June 27, 2021, 11:54:44 AM
Davis has established himself as a powerful puncher in the superlightweight division he has the speed and power and he can wipe out all opposition on both lightweight and superlightweight division, not even Ryan Garcia and Haney can keep up with his power and speed, let us see now what's coming next for Davis, he is one the most exciting boxer to watch out now.

Josh Taylor and Teofimo Lopez if he decided to move up to 140 lbs would be a difficult match up for him.

Barrios is winning the first couple of rounds and maybe Tank Davis is trying to figure him out. Round 7 was critical because it was a 7-10 rounds that closes the gap for Davis. Barrios remain in composure even after that knock down. But one advantage of Davis is that he has a solid chin. And it round 11, the referee has seen enough. That body shot is perfect.
3446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: June 27, 2021, 11:21:33 AM
Damn, that's a big money involved, $3 million ++. So we might be deprived of the fight if Attar will pursue this case (if no Manny settlement outside). Just history repeating itself again for Pacquiao. He just surround himself with people who really don't know the ins and outs o boxing and just making deals.

Remember his previous advisor? Michael Koncz? and now Sean Gibbons. Let's do hope that we can still see Pacquiao vs Spence this year.

This is a result of the greediness of some of the people that surrounded Pacquaio. Not a good in the promotion of the upcoming fight with Spence but with the amount of money involve in this fight, I think Paradigm will agree to a settlement and Pacman's money will be less than expected.

Due to Manny's forgiving personality, he is prone to abuse to greedy people who want to exploit him.

Manny's should have at least learn from his past mistakes, he fired Michael Koncz because of this abuse, not sure if he discover it personally or someone whispers it to him. So Manny should put trusted people around, not greedy and just want to take advantage of him.

And who are going to pay for that huge money being filed against him? There are a lot of legalities here, Manny be ready to hire someone like a lawyer here to take care of it. I doubt that Sean Gibbons can handle litigations in behalf of him.
3447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey vs Elon Musk(meme Master) on: June 27, 2021, 10:37:47 AM
A while ago notice that news and wondered to share but seems OP already made it. To be honest nothing surprising to me. Most probably Jack Dorsey's motive is good for Bitcoin, but I doubt about Elon Musk's motives. He always looks for his own benefits. His recent behaviors don't indicate that he has any motive to make the crypto-friendly environment at all. Who knows if he accumulated more Bitcoin in dip and now he wants to pump it back? I don't like to see new drama again and again. Elon only wants to take advantage of the pump dump, we already know about Doge, and seems he is moving to Shib as well to pump it. So don't expect too much from him.

You can also add to that their knowledge behind bitcoin. We all know that Elon's just suddenly burst into the scene, with the motive to make more money out of bitcoin noobs, but Jack has been promoting bitcoin even during the bear market. Going as far as Africa to lecture and tells the government about the benefits of crypto in their country. So it's pretty obvious for me that Jack Dorsey has the capability to explain further anything about BTC. Elon Musk should listen to this guy.
3448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Nakatani June 26 on: June 26, 2021, 10:20:23 PM
@bisdak40 - any livestreaming site bro?

Unfortunately, there is none as of the moment mate. The crack site that I used to follow for boxing live streams is not updated and it seems they were taken down  Sad.

In fights like this, I search on FB if there is someone who broadcast the fight live.

I have now pulled the trigger, Loma by Decision @2.06  Smiley.

Good luck to all and let's enjoy this Loma comeback.

Crackstream site is not anymore updated, I used to watch live streaming of NBA using the site but suddenly they don't put links anymore although the site is still accessible. If only the PPV is cheap, then I would not hesitate to pay so I would be able to watch the fight without interruption.

And since is a highly anticipated match, there could be crackstream out there, but I'm sure it is being monitored. So only options is to try our luck on those FB boxing fans, but most of the time the broadcast is kinda slow or delayed. PPV is not an option for average boxing fans like us, it's not that cheap.

That is a good odds bisdak40, I agree with most of the posters here, Loma has a good chance to win against the tall Nakatani, he has experienced and be looking for a Lopez rematch after his win here. For sure he will call him out after the fight.
3449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 26, 2021, 10:51:18 AM
Trae Young's performance in this match is the exact opposite of what it was in the first match. It looks like the Bucks found an effective way to defend against him, considering that they forced Young to commit nine turnovers during this match.

Stars have bad days so maybe this time bad luck hit him thats why he has bad performance on their last game. But next game is big adjustment to be made by hawks since they already experience how hard Clippers to beat on if they are in good shape.

Can't wait to see their next game since its revenge time for hawks.

This is the finals, opposing team will tighten their defense, I don't think that Trae Young has a bad day, it's just that the Bucks has obviously adjusted at they have seen what they can do. Just 15 points tonight, but for sure he will comeback from this bad performance, that's why supposed a star do. You forgot that bad game, move on and redeem yourself. Specially the next game will be on their home turf. Expect Trae Young to go strong in the first 2 quarters and not let the Bucks pull away.
3450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 26, 2021, 09:49:54 AM

My only prop for the day is Khris Middleton's total points. He was criticized for his poor performance in the first two games against the Nets, but then he rebounded with 35 points in gm 3, he had a bad gm1 and that's why i expect him to bounce back. Given that he is likely to get 20-25 shots and probably won't go again 0/9 from 3, 25pts is well within his reach, plus Hawks don't have any good defenders, Huerter is so-so, and Bogdanovic is playing with a hurt knee. My only concern here is if the Bucks take a huge lead in the first half and he doesn't get enough minutes in the second...anyway, let's see.

Gl, everyone!  Wink

The crazy thing is once they got the lead early one, I knew he's getting limited time...

I'm glad I went with the spread on buck instead of the Overs.... I'd say the Bucks are in charge of the series now.

Middleton got 15 points on 28 minutes of play.

With this big and statement win, I do hope that Bucks will have control of the series. Because the next game will be in Atlanta's home court, so it will be a big challenge as the Hawks have a good record in their backyard. If Bucks win, then maybe they are in control. But Hawks has the capability to come back, even at the Philly's series they woke up from a 26 point lead and won at the road.
3451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Tank Davis vs Barrios - June 26 on: June 26, 2021, 08:46:02 AM
Based on the voting here and I guess the majority of the boxing community are in favor of Davis, we cannot blame them, the Sta Cruz is one of the fights that proves how strong Davis is and it could happen here, again if one of Davis uppercut gets in, Barrios should watch out for that uppercut and he should take his height advantage to the fullest so he can connect his power punches.

Yes, based on the voting and the odds, boxing community thinks that Davis has the upper hand in this match because of his power and boxing IQ. The Sta Cruz fight was good in paper, we thought that it is going to be close because of Leo's volume punching, but it was even that, Davis blasted him with a perfect uppercut that knock out Sta Cruz for the first time in his career. So the power is scary and if landed flushed on a tall guy like Barrios, it could destroy Barrios for good in this fight.
3452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Has Ordered All Financial Institutions To Cut Crypto -Related Services on: June 25, 2021, 12:13:45 PM
So surprise here, they have been in the limelight for quite sometime know, cutting down and clamping everything that is related to bitcoin. So this is forth coming, the sad news is that it is the Chinese bitcoin enthusiast that will be affected severely. I think it will contribute more to the capital flight that the Chinese government doesn't want to happen. On the contrary, it will just speed up the process.

Anyhow, as I have said previously, the effect on the market is already price in. And if other nations will take over specially bitcoin mining, the hash rate might go back to normal and might see the price recovering again to a new all time high.
3453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 25, 2021, 10:39:02 AM
Tsitsipas doesn't play well in grass, so it will be a surprised to see him even in the quarter finals.

But yeah, Djokovic path's is clear, unless he make another silly mistakes of hitting the umpire or something, his chances are very high right now to win the Wimbledon. I don't see anyone right now that can match him mentality in closing matches. But who knows, maybe we can see someone pulling an upset but it will be a long shot.

Hope so for me because I will be betting on his outright, meanwhile I hope Barty also keeps her mantle of being favorite because I need them both to win to enjoy some good betting wins. Who do you think are the ones likely to go to final and have odds better than 10x? Cause I would like to take that bet.

Betting match by match has been difficult, losing even though picking the right guy eventually;)

Yeah, I saw a lot of matches as qualifiers, but I don't want to take that risk though as upsets could happen here. Obviously, this are upcoming tennis players so I guess everyone is not familiar unless you have been following him/her as countrymen.

Not yet seen the outright odds though, but I will speculate that Djokovic could be like 1.5 favourite to win the Wimbledon here.
3454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 25, 2021, 09:43:18 AM
^^ And you can see the Suns frustrations here, Booker getting 3 consecutive fouls in matter of minutes. Chris Paul missing shots that he used to make, Crowder fouling out. So overall, it's a tough battle for the Suns at Clippers home court.

But they still lead the series, but the Clippers has the momentum. Pat Beverly hitting a 3 at the corner really seal the deal and then that hook shot. I think defensively and offensively, he is the difference in this game.
Beverly is as tough a defensive player as there is in basketball. Suns barely scored over 90 tonight and they averaged almost 115 during the regular season, that says alot about the defense from the Clippers. I  also think Booker and the facemask was an issue for his game. Look for the Suns to come out strong in game 4.

Yep, even though Booker has the advantage in height, Beverly make it up with his speed and experienced closing the gap. I remember him shouting on Rondo not to let Booker go to his left because that his strong side. So obviously, he has done his homework and have studied Booker.

Exactly, that mask seems to bother him + defense = terrible shooting night for him. But as a sign of a superstar, he should be bouncing back next game and try to redeem himself.
3455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin rebounding? on: June 25, 2021, 08:46:09 AM

Still continue to sideways until the fud ends and if the fud ends while the price didn't drop below like $28000, the possibility to break that $40k is higher. I'd like to think it's going to break the resistance this time after few unsuccessful tries to break out the support line.

Currently, I'm not seeing any FUD, the Chinese news is over, I think we have seen the bitcoin mining shutdown was already price-in.

Amazing how it quickly goes up after touching the price at 29,000, somebody must have panicked that day.

Because there is a strong support at $30k, yes, it was broken, but as you have said, it was quickly supported as investors bought at this price. And now we continue our sideway patterns until a break out happen (positive news).
3456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 24, 2021, 01:32:07 PM
Hawks not only cover but hit the money line dam.  Not a Trae fan since he dismantled my knicks but the dude absolutely killed it.  The shoulder shimmy 3pt was cold.

Yeah, and that 2 free throws to seal the win? ice cold. He also had a back board alley-oop to Collins.

Luckily I won my bet on them here.

Now, game 3 between Clippers vs Suns, Clippers now 2.02 ML, very attractive odds. But since CP3 is reported to be back in the line-up, it will be hard for the Clippers to win even if it is in their home court.

I think it's more of a mental game for the Clippers, they have chances in both games to win, unfortunately, the breaks didn't went their way. If they could only not let the Suns took a lead and them chasing it the whole game, they could be up by 2-0.

I agree that when Paul is back in the line up, it will be a different Suns team as CP3 is the leader and his basketball IQ is one of the best. I'm still expecting the Clippers to really fight it out. Maybe we might see another big contribution from Mann. Or at least improve their 3 point shooting percentage so that they have a good chance to win.
3457  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHO THE FUCK IS SELLING!? on: June 24, 2021, 11:44:36 AM
Or probably the chinese miners who are out of business right now because of the continued government ban on bitcoin mining? For one, they need to feed their families, second, maybe they don't want to get out of China and continue their mining business.

In any case, the OP should remain calm, weak hands have sold, so this is nothing out of the ordinary, maybe we have reach the peak in $64k and that's why people are selling because of the uncertainty in the market today.
3458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 24, 2021, 10:18:17 AM
Quite unexpected victory of the Atlanta Hawks which won by three points. Honestly, after the exhausting past games I'd not have expected all these points but the game was really spectacular and until the last basket you could not tell who would win.
It'll be a great challenge between the Bucks and the Hawks that will compete again on Saturday.

Trae Young is underrated, it's the battle of the Bucks vs Trae Young, this young man is playing with so much confidence and he is unstoppable. Bucks might have a problem figuring out how to minimize his production because if they will double him, that will open a spot for Trae's teammates which are good 3 point shooters.

He also has this ability to stop at a dime and then hit a 3. And then dribble penetrate, hesitate and then throw a lob pass to Capela or Collins who is a good finisher. So it's a different set of defense that they should used against Trae. Of course, there is no stopping a scorer, but at least limit his production so that the Bucks has a chance to win. No longer underrated with this performance, legitimate star at 22 years old.

They have thrown at least 3 defenders on him, Tucker, Holiday and Jeff Teague. But Young is unguardable in his series against Knicks and the Sixers. We only see his offensive weapon, but damn, this kid is tough, anyone see him trying to guard Giannis, and giving up like 60 lbs but he body him and make him miss the shot. Maybe rough him up, like Beverly defense on Booker, but as I have said, he is not intimidated and like to thrive in this pressure game.
3459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I feel uncomfortable if I don’t buy on: June 24, 2021, 09:44:00 AM
I started putting 1k into Bitcoin every time it drops by 5k since 60k. And I ran out of funds a little while ago.

The fact that I can’t buy this dip just makes me extremely uncomfortable.

It makes me feel shifty and nervous of the fluctuations. Whereas before I looked forward to it falling so I can just buy.

I guess this is the part where I wait.

Yeah, you can't do anything but to wait till your investments grow and then take profits and wait for the price to dip again. I guess this is part of the mentality if people invested on crypto, gonna be a long and hard grind everyday. And now that you have chances to buy again at a discount, buy you can't since you don't have any funds right now.

Probably the best thing to do is not look at the market price for sometime,  Grin and make yourself busy with others things.
3460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Any profitable project in bounties altcoins? on: June 23, 2021, 12:26:39 PM
I want to earn extra income through bounty hunting and hopefully you can share good projects worthy joining for in signature campaign.

If we are in a bull run, I will say there are projects that can really give a good amount of reward when the campaign ends. But currently, since the market suddenly went on a bearish trend, hard to say, you really need to check what the current project is, and see if it has something unique to offer in the market and potentially give you some extra income once the bounty is completed. So the answer is: we don't have any idea what projects are profitable at this point.

So best of luck, hopefully you can find a project to promote that will suit your needs.
