3441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should the physically challenged be exemped from bitcoin? on: June 29, 2022, 08:57:38 AM
Yes, Most of this physically challenged people don’t have job or source of income so how you come up on the idea of getting them involved on investment. Crypto investment is stressful and they don’t deserve that kind of life. I know that your intention is to help them but most them usually don’t care and just being swayed by sweet words of return that’s why they become interested.

Even normal that invest Bitcoin sometimes turn there life miserable so what’s more for these people that needs special care?

I'm one of those physically challenged and don't have a stable source of income. But that doesn't mean we will only be interested in cryptocurrencies just because of its increasing value over the years. As for myself, I'm into crypto because of its huge innovation in financial system. People like me find it difficult to have our own bank account because they need many requirements like proof of income etc. so bitcoin was a great help to save some money on my own when it's possible for me to earn sometimes from freelancing.
3442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I started Bitcoin investing on: June 29, 2022, 07:44:22 AM
How did yours begin?

I started way back 2016 when I was in college. I was looking for some source of income that time to help my studies. I saw a friend of mine earning bitcoin through this forum and asked him how he does it. He taught me how to join in signature campaigns in this forum and that introduced me to cryptocurrencies. After that year, ICOs were very popular. I joined and invested on some bounty campaigns that gives a huge amount of btc if you sold their token rewards. I was just accumulating all of my earnings during those time and not spend it as much as possible because I believe in the potential of bitcoin in the future.
3443  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason Why People(Mostly Newbies) Fall Victim To Scams Easily. on: June 27, 2022, 10:36:00 AM
The problem is that the majority of people, investors, traders (most especially, newbies) come into the crypto currency space with the mindset or rather, expectation of getting rich overnight.

This can be avoided if they just tell to themselves that there is really no way to become rich fast unless they win the jackpot in a lottery which only happens to a very few people. People that fall into scam are usually in desperate need for money. Even if they know to themselves that it is too good to be true, they still invest on it hoping that it would change their life.

Get proper education and clear direction, know what you are doing at all time and be patient.
Many might have the education, but not having a clear direction and lack of patience is one of the reasons many (especially newbies) end up loosing their hard earned money to scammers.

There are some professionals that I know that still fall into scam because the scammer is good in his social engineering skills. Some scammers will make you feel that they are legit at first then once their investors feel confident on putting their money to them, they will slowly make excuses that will end in taking your money.
3444  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Digital & Cryptocurrency are they same ? on: June 27, 2022, 09:36:02 AM
Digital and Cryptocurrency aren't the same.

Based on this link 3 https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/digital-currency.asp, there are 3 types of digital currency and crypto is one of them.

  • Cryptocurrency - these are not owned by any entity and its transactions are recorded on a digital ledger or what we know as blockchain.
  • Virtual Currency - these are currencies controlled by a private company. An example of this is a currency we used in games like v-bucks in fortnite or valorant points(vp) in valorant that can be used in purchasing skins, battle pass, etc.
  • CBDC or Central Bank Digital Currencies - these are regulated and issued by the central bank of a particular country, it's just the digital form of fiat that we usually use. China has their own CBDC which is called e-CNY, also known as digital yuan.

3445  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to avoid huge cryptocurrency disappointment on: June 27, 2022, 04:35:12 AM
Looking forward to some advice from senior members of the forum on this thread

Don't expect also a huge profit if your investment is only small. There are some people that I know who invest on crypto that have plenty of 0 then dream to reach a certain price that will make them millionaire. They don't realize it has a very huge supply making their dreams impossible. I know that dogecoin has a lot of supply and pumped a lot but that is because of Elon Musk's hype. Not all coins will be like that so we should not put our expectation high when investing into cryptocurrencies.
3446  Other / Meta / Re: What happened to the forum plagiarism rules? on: June 26, 2022, 09:40:22 AM
Having said that, the best thing to do to keep discussions flowing is if you have a useful link/source about an information you want to share, you should read it up first, and then post somewhat of a summary of it here, with your own thoughts/ideas, in your own words, and then include the link in the end for users to know where you got the larger knowledge from and might want to visit the original source to get more knowledge.

This cleared my concern about creating a thread, I thought that putting a summary is still considered as plagiarizing offense.

There's a 3 kind users in this forum about the way they mention about the sources:
1. A user that mention the news on his post e.g. based on this news bla bla bla
2. A user that quoting the whole words and sentences that didn't belong to him
Quote from: https://
3. A user that didn't mention the news and only put all the sources on the bottom thread.

Either 1, 2 or 3 you wouldn't get banned.

Those are the rules I'm already aware of but creating a thread is a different level for me, you need to be very careful doing it because it has more content from multiple sources compared to what you do regularly.
3447  Other / Meta / Re: What happened to the forum plagiarism rules? on: June 26, 2022, 08:35:18 AM
Anyone can enlighten me what really are these rules? Sometimes I want to make a thread but I'm afraid to actually do it because of this rule that can result to my account being banned forever.

Let's say I create a thread "Different strategies in trading" and gather info on different sources. Post some of those information while including the links where I got them, is that considered plagiarizing because the statements are not from me even though I gave credits?
3448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China warns Bitcoin is heading to zero on: June 26, 2022, 06:43:00 AM
They keep doing the same thing. I still don't understand why they do this. It's impossible for bitcoin to go to zero. In fact, they know this too. I think they are making such a speculation rumor to collect it from the bottom.

Their fud now is so bad that it didn't had any effect on the market. People already used to what they've been saying over the years. If they really hate bitcoin, then why there are a large numbers of bitcoin miners in their country. I don't think accumulating huge amount from the bottom is their goal why they keep fudding. They don't need to do it and just wait for this market corrections to buy. Maybe they want to take control of bitcoin because of its huge potential in the economic field in the future.
3449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto winter setting in.. and how long will it last on: June 26, 2022, 05:21:06 AM
How long will this market correction will continue and where will this stop.. and where will Bitcoin stabalize

Many countries are in economic crisis now. Prices of commodities keep rising so for me it will continue until next year then bull cycle will begin again by 2024 where bitcoin halving will also happen. That is long enough to accumulate crypto to prepare for the next bull run. This is the perfect time where many people can be a millionaire on the next cycle if they start accumulating. I don't think we've hit the bottom price of this dip for bitcoin but stabilizing at the current price will be good as it's near at the ATH of 2017.

P.S. Baliktad yata yung title, Pinas dapat mauna kesa Binance.
3451  Local / Pilipinas / Re: WORTH IT PA BA? on: June 25, 2022, 01:48:04 PM
Pero for me, as long as you have a negative trust rating, hinding-hindi kita tatanggapin.

3452  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How crypto giant Binance became a hub for hackers fraudsters & drug traffickers on: June 25, 2022, 10:38:28 AM
Binance is the current biggest and reputed exchange now so it's not surprising if it became a hotspot for illegal activities. Their exchange has a lot of volume making hackers to be their best target. The ronin network hack issue recently also used multiple binance accounts to convert the funds that they stole.

This should be a reminder to us that even the biggest exchange can't be trusted. We should not put our crypto assets on exchanges if it's long term investment. It's better to put it on non-custodial wallet where we have complete control of our assets.
3453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to avoid crippling losses when trading? on: June 25, 2022, 09:07:31 AM
~snip

People especially newbie ignore this stuff. Their goal is to have huge profit so they often tend to risk a huge percentage of their portfolio. They don't think about any risk and just think of the outcome if the market favors their side. They will just realize their mistake when their portfolio is more than 50% down.

Learning those strategies requires strong discipline to control their emotion which is the most important for me to avoid huge loss in trading. Even experts sometimes forget their trading strategy because of greed.
3454  Economy / Gambling / Re: KYC casino or no-KYC casino, but with no bonuses/no cashback? on: June 25, 2022, 08:10:28 AM
If you were given a choice, would you play regularly in a cryptocurrency casino WITH KYC, and with added benefits like first deposit/welcome bonuses and cashbacks?

Or would you like to play regularly in a casino, WITHOUT KYC, BUT also without the welcome bonuses, cashbacks and other extra rewards?

I don't mind the cashbacks or bonuses, I only play on the reputable gambling websites that we have now. Usually the websites that offer huge bonuses and they promise that you don't need KYC are often a scam. They won't let you withdraw your winnings and just suspend your account without any reason. For completing the KYC verification, I will only do it on the reputable websites. I'll read some review first about their experience doing KYC then I will do mine if the process is not that complicated. I don't think there is a casino now that exist with huge bonuses and doesn't require any KYC.
3455  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today is the day on: June 25, 2022, 07:13:51 AM
It's either a generational buying opportunity with bitcoin being the most oversold it's ever been, or it's the end of bitcoin and it's finally dead LOL

It's more of an opportunity for me rather than thinking that this is the end for bitcoin. Every bear market, people says bitcoin is dead and they won't buy it anymore. They don't see it as an opportunity to buy at a very cheap price but once market starts going up again and bitcoin is pumping like crazy, people become euphoric when buying it. This is the time where whales are accumulating so you should do the same too not fomo when it's already almost at its peak.
3456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin become a global currency ? on: June 25, 2022, 06:09:08 AM
I don't think bitcoin can be a global currency in the near future. We haven't reach its maximum supply yet so we can't define what price it will become stable, that is why also we experience this huge volatility. There are still many countries that don't acknowledge bitcoin as a currency. They see it as a threat in the financial system. Countries want it to be regulated but bitcoin will just lose its purpose if that happens.
3457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Cold Hard Facts Prove Bitcoin Rejoin Is A Scam! on: June 25, 2022, 04:44:08 AM

I visited their website https://bitcoinrejoin.io/ saw this. The statements on FAQ obviously shows it is a scam. They don't even explain how their platform works. You just need to create an account, make a deposit of 250$ then you'll become a millionaire. They even ask you to invest more than that to make it more quicker which is a big red flag. They also use the name of Elon Musk and Richard Branson to attract more to invest on their platform.
3458  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference btw CBDC & BTC (Simple and short explanation) on: June 24, 2022, 05:44:54 AM
CBDC and BTC are very different to each other. It's like comparing fiat to gold. CBDC's won't change value and will just decrease because of inflation as the years will pass. While BTC is the opposite because of its scarce supply and continuous increase of demand. CBDC's purpose is only for digital payments while BTC can be considered as an investment.
3459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Manage Gambling Addiction an Open Discussion. on: June 24, 2022, 03:28:14 AM
Of all the addictions gambling and drugs are two of the worse, they will exhaust your finances and drain your emotion and the road to recovery is long and hard you don't just need advice you badly needed professional help to get these two additions out of your system, gambling addiction will have an impact to your family and to your job, your family and people will not trust you of your people, if you have a caring family the road to recovery will be much easier.

Everything that is abused are always not good to anyone. Being addicted to unhealthy foods will also drain your finances if you will develop a disease like cancer.

How did you find these tips? Do you think it will help gambling addicts to manage their addiction?  Any additional input on how manage or cure addiction is welcome.

The process you mentioned requires a strong discipline to a gambler which is very difficult to develop. To stop from a gambling addiction, it will always come from yourself. Even if your family and relatives are there behind you, it's still useless if don't plan to quit from gambling.
3460  Other / Archival / Re: Are you ready to see Bitcoin at $10 000? on: June 23, 2022, 04:05:20 PM
People everywhere in the crypto space are bearish so I've already prepared myself for that scenario. If that really happens, then I would have a chance to own 1 whole bitcoin. Might as well stack some ETH because it would also be cheaper that time.

On the other hand if a 85% correction is really bound to happen, who is going to sell to reach the $10k price. The only reason I can think off for that to happen is if some big insitution sell their holdings that would create a domino effect to people to also sell their holdings.
