3461  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Confused with wallet addresses on: November 26, 2020, 06:04:23 AM
Let's say I received 0.1btc from somewhere into one of my addresses.
Now I spend 0.001BTC on something and my wallet sends it from that address.
That leaves 0.099BTC on that address, but that address has now been used as a sending address and the next time I spend 0.001BTC on something, my wallet would use the same sender address, because that's where the 0.099BTC are and that's (as far as I understood) is what one shouldn't do.
It is about Change address I mentioned.

In Electrum:
Tools, Preferences, Transactions. You will see the Use change address. Choose this one if it has not yet been chosen in your wallet.
You will see 2 parts (in Green and Yellow colours) in the Address tab: Green is for initial receiving address, Yellow is for change address.

Change: The way bitcoin works unspent outputs have to be spent in their entirety. Excess amounts are sent back to a change address in your wallet. To confirm that this is the case right click on the transaction in question on the history tab and choose details. See if the unknown output in question is highlighted in green or yellow. Yellow refers to change addresses while green means receive address. Both change and receiving addresses are a part of your wallet meaning these coins were sent back to your wallet. You control this money and it is yours.

Where you store your bitcoin? In wallet or in exchange wallet?

You should be your own bank with non-custodial wallets: Bitcoin Core or Electrum wallet. Bitcoin Core full node requires huge space in disk, if you don't have much but want to use Bitcoin Core, use prune node. Electrum has app for Android (get link to download the app from the link, don't search Electrum on Google Play)

You can check and turn on change address in your wallet, Replace by fee.

In Electrum, if you want to send bitcoin from address A (in Address tab, choose Address A and right click to choose Spend from).
Click on Send tab to fill in the address of receiver.
Click on amount (can choose Max amount from address A or any amount you want to send)
Click on Pay: You will see the message box, see in Fee rate: default is ETA that is high fee usually. You could change it to mempool. The fee now is high so the lowest fee you can use fee for 10 MB from tip with the fee is 6 sat/byte.
If you accept that fee, enter password, click on Send: You will see details for the transaction (amount send, fee)
If you see things are ok, click on Broadcast, Finalize, and that amount will be sent.

Quote
But what happens if the transaction is smaller than the amount present on an address?
You can not send more than the amount you have.

But you can click on 2 or 3 or multiple address in one wallet to spend it. Right click > Spend from and do same steps.

Today is a day of mourning for the world of football because one of the legends of Argentine football and world football legend Diego Maradona passed away, information spread that Maradona died of a stroke and a few weeks ago he just returned from the hospital as well. Of course it is a very big loss for football lovers because Maradona is a legendary player who is loved by all football fans in the world. RIP Diego Maradona and have bring many positive side from him to make football full color and almost player give words of condolence for Diego Maradona was pass away and almost club match will give attention few minute to memorize with Diego Maradona.
The death of Maradona is a big loss of the football. He is the greatest player (second one and only behind Pele). The third one is Johan that passed away recent years. People do not realize what they have before they lost it.

I just wake up and read the news this morning. Surely I can't believe it for a moment! But after reading on more news sources, I realize it true. Yep, we lost him, he is one of the biggest legends in football hsitory. I am an old football fan, so I know about him and Pele as well. In the old football era, I still remember that Maradona and Pele are the best football players. RIP Maradona..
Life is short so let's enjoy our lives and best seasons left for Messi. Why do people don't leave Messi a happy time to play in his very last seasons in his career?

When Messi retires, all things we can have is watching documentary films of Messi. No real matches on the field or in front of televisions. It will be no longer available for us.

Should we use different wallets for each crypto we hold?

Not necessarily, but I’d recommend that for sure, at least for different networks. Problem with most multi-asset wallets is they’re not open source, so you can’t really know for sure what they have in their code. Plus, you want each asset secured. Imagine losing one wallet, and losing everything? Or if one network crashes or forks, how will that affect you?
Opinions guys?
I will try to use multiple wallets to decentralize my crypto capital. I do it for bitcoin and for altcoins. If one wallet provider has technical troubles, I won't be affected seriously. Even in worst case, I won't lose all my crypto.

In addition, I store my bitcoin on a very special computer on which I only store bitcoin. I never download altcoin wallets and install them on that computer. With new altcoins, it is best to not download and install their wallets on the computer you use to store bitcoin and use it to trade everyday.

That's the site I use. Not just covid but all injuries and suspensions so it's even more helpful.
It gives list of unavailable players (injuries, suspensions) for big leagues in the Europe and Champions League, Europa League. I have a topic as a checking tool for soccer gamblers.

Injured and suspended players. Sites to check

3468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin market cap hits new all-time high and surpasses JPMorgan at $352M on: November 25, 2020, 02:43:13 AM
The marketcap of bitcoin will be bursted when the price is corrected. Long run Bitcoin marketcap will take over JPMorgan but it does take more time to take over and maintain a leading position.

Stable leading position will be made up of higher, stable price of bitcoin and higher circulating supply. If bitcoin drops 20% and stays at that price for months, circulating supply needs to have 20% increase to fill that drop and help bitcoin has a same marketcap.

I see more interesting in volume of bitcoin, not marketcap. The volume is lower than in mid of 2020 and the rise of bitcoin to all time high did not bring total volume back to all time high.

Get those offers for Black Friday from official websites to be safe. Officially visit websites & download apps, not fake ones..

Install the Adblock extension to avoid fake Black Friday offers when you are surfing. AdBlock — best ad blocker

I don't know what the others do but I personally have a special email for those things: Black Friday offers and discoveries on new websites. If that email is attacked or compromised, it is not too risky for me as it is not my main email.

This casino also runs a very large advertising campaign among BTT users! They are great!  If I am not mistaken, this campaign is the largest signature campaign now in BTT.  I wish them success in attracting new players and I want to ask just wondering how OP thinks how effective the campaign in BTT is, taking into account the fact that it is actually being conducted on the target audience?
Largest signature campaign in number of positions but not biggest one if you are saying about total payment every week (that is Chip Mixer). Furthermore, Duelbits has many promotion types that are run on the forum and managed by the professional manager Hhampuz.

Yes I think we are running the biggest signature campaign at the moment  Cheesy

It's going well.
It's my all best wishes for Duelbits and for all the team and community members. Duelbits is on its bull run.

That's what make the gambler lose but still we cannot avoid this to come with us although it's good to have a stop point like what you said and I normally quit when I encounter a 10 massive losing  streak since that is a reminder that I'm having a bad day on my games today.

And it's good to see that you manage to stop when you see a 4-5 times losing streak since for me this is so early to determine about the outcome of the game.
Gambling responsible sounds easy but in reality it is not easy to manage and control gambling activities. To avoid over gambling, I don't leave too much fund on my account on gambling sites. I only deposit very small fund when I get profit from crypto investment and spend a few part of profit for gambling as entertainment.

I think for games in gambling site, it is hard to control after wining or losing in streaks. I try to leave my computer after I make enough bet every day (win or lose it does not my matter). Stay in front of computer can destroy my ability to control responsible gambling.  Same for tradings. After get big profit, I exit market. Smiley

Ibra just score, Milan is now leading Serie A and Ibrahimovic is leading the Serie A top scorerer.

Not bad for a 38 years old boy  Shocked.
His headshot is unbelievable from the point too far from the goal of Napoli. In the moment, Ibra made Koulibaly looks like an idiot defender. The second goal shows how Ibra experience after 2 decades helps him to move wisely and choose a good position to score an easy goal. It is not easy if he did not move wisely to behind defenders of Napoli.

Mostly we do not gamble for the max profit and that is why these big win streaks back to back never really makes me feel like I can gamble for a very long time and if I have a good streak of wins I would be making a decent return but I could lose that with much quicker lose all of it type of back to back losses. Just to give an example let's say I gamble with 1 dollars and do martingale, if I gamble and win 50 times in a row !! I still make only 50 dollars profit right? But if I lose just 7 times, that goes from 1 to 2 to 4 to 8 to 16 to 32 to 64 and as you can see with just few losses in a row I am losing more than 2x of winning 50 times in a row.

So, winning in a row is not really that big of a deal, I do not have to win too many times in a row and it is fine, I just want to see less losses in a row but this is gambling and anything could happen.
Streaks can be winning streaks or losing streaks and we all have good and bad days. In gambling, fun is what I gamble and if I gamble repsonsibly, I won't let me be addicted with it and with max profit. Like when I watch soccer, it will be more fun if I have bets on sportsbooks but I don't bet all my life and my income in one match, one bet order.

And profit or loss at the end will be decided by total value of win or loss, not decide by how many big win or big loss you have.

The hunts for high multipliers are fun and the min amount to join is small enough to not bring big loss for users of Roobet.
3474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitter accounts of crypto gambling sites on: November 24, 2020, 03:21:16 AM
It's only helpful if you are looking for many events in different gambling sites since most of them will post it  in their social media channel, you can follow different events and join sometimes there also small giveaway given in Twitter so if you are followers of them you will see it earlier than other members who don't .
You must not have Twitter account or Follow those crypto gambling sites' Twitter accounts to get their tweets and announcements. You can bookmark their Twitter accounts or use list in OP and get announcements from their profile pages.

It is more easily if you have your Twitter account and follow them.

I'm not into twitter but this one can help actually especially if you want to communicate and to get updated on the site you're playing.
Follow or visit to check is enough. I am not quite sure that gambling sites are actively answering questions from community on Twitter.

We should be careful truly on Twitter. We remember the resent challenge of Twitter accounts of big names in attempt to fraud followers. I don't really think it will be helpful if we just follow every link that we see linked to Twitter.
After get updates on Twitter, you must go to the gambling sites to check and confirm information. It is a must.

Twitter helps us to get an update with those gambling sites but I also not agree to make transactions on twitter and especially to trust someone on twitter because of so many scammers, and they keep on growing. Those twitter accounts are indeed active and can be a big help, maximize that and stay cautious.
Scammers can use Twitter to run scam givewaways but only being greed will help them scam you. Scammers will require you to make deposits to receive giveaways. How can you believe in such deposit-first giveaways?

Please don't spam. I will report your posts if they are no value.

Hello guys. betller.io is now listed on Cryptwerk (online directory & map with companies, websites, stores accepting #Bitcoin and other #cryptocurrencies!)

https://cryptwerk.com/company/betller/
I did not know the cryptwerk.com and your announcement helped me to have one more review website to discover and learn. I visited the site and there are not many reviews on the site. It is true not only for your betller.io review page but also for many other sites' reviews. Reviews can the site can not be used but the filter with payment methods can be used to filter gambling site that has a cryptocurrency I want to use.

I get that view from this page for all gambling sites on it: https://cryptwerk.com/companies/gambling/

Utility. Bitcoin is recognized now as a currency, store of value, and long-term appreciative asset.
True.

Quote
Ethereum is also a recognized currency, but cannot challenge Bitcoin as all the above points, but is now a much-needed Dapp platform that has proven to be mature and with the coming upgrade will handle scalability issues. Altcoins each say they’re currency, but only for their internal ecosystems. 90% of them are actually just speculative assets.
Ethereum after many years of developments is a chain on which scam projects join and build up a very big scam ecosystem. ERC20 scam ecosystem. I would not blame on Ethereum for scam projects but why it happened?

Quote
Development. Bitcoin is the most conservative development project, with very few new changes happening to its core structure over the years. But this also results in the most stable platform, battle-tested and highly secure.
Any changes or upgrades must be approved with Consensus.

Quote
Ethereum is very fluid, with drastic changes always happening including the upcoming shift to PoS. Altcoins are on the extreme end, with centralized teams deciding very quickly how to change their infrastructure.
Ethereum is different. Important decisions and upgrades are decided and made by core team with the header is Vitalik.
3478  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit & Difficulties 😑 on: November 23, 2020, 08:17:33 AM
You are here more than 2 years and don't know what is merit, how to earn it. It does mean you don't care about what you did in 2 years and your contribution is zero (zero contribution from bounty reports).

I don't say you can not change and won't change and as consequence of any chances in future, please look at the core value and use cases of merit.
I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

The quote is from that topic Merit & new rank requirements
3479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exploits and flash loans are just the beginning, defi economy Is less private on: November 23, 2020, 03:31:24 AM
In my opinion, there is nothing so different between ICO and DeFi in terms of scam, and DeFi has less privacy. To prove this, it is clear in the quote below
Scammers use ICO, DeFi and Ethereum smart contracts to scam investors but you are not correct to compare ICO and DeFi.

In privacy, you won't have privacy if you join centralized pools and make your transactions without Tor or VPS.
In security, you won't have security if your transaction is broadcasted with smart contracts from scam companies.

DeFi is as same as staking. Staking (with stake masternode coin) or farming, yielding (with DeFi) and get many coins or tokens every day but in the same time price is falling and falling down. Total coins or tokens in your wallet increase 50% and the price of coin or token falls down 50% (even more).
3480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 23, 2020, 02:43:46 AM
I think Håland will be the next Lewandoski for Bayern Munchen, a pretty impressive performance and has a very good sense of goals, which is right for him to get the golden boy this season. We know how the ending for the great Dortmund players will ultimately be the successor to Bayern Munich. But Håland's impressive performance is perfect if he tries to play in the Premier League, he has above average speed and also a body balance that is effective enough to compete in the English league rather than someday receiving an offer from Bayern Munich.
Håland style is perfectly fits with Bayern and he is a good replacement for Lewandowski. Bayern and BvB have very good transfer history (from Gotze, Lewandowski, Hummels in last decade) and BvB will not have problems with Bayern. Depends upon the transfer fee Bayern want to pay for BvB and the willingness of Håland to develop his career, the transfer will be process or not.

The chance to see that transfer is not low and if the transfer is done, Bayern has a strong and productive striker to dominate the Bundesliga next 10 years.  Roll Eyes
