^^ I don't think it's a trap, Bucks has Giannis and now they have their own big 3, Middleton and Jrue Holiday and then they have Lopez to score for them. So definitely they can cover it, and after beating the hype Nets in 7, the Bucks is riding on a momentum and the first game will be in their home court and the better team. So a -7.5 is respectable opening odds.

3462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 23, 2021, 08:33:57 AM
^^ Ah the old debate again as to who is the greatest tennis player of this generation. Arguably, it's hard to decide, yes Federer was the older of the three and obviously had a head way, during his prime no one can touch Roger. I remember him beating Pete Sampras in 03' 04 and others says that it is the passing of the torch, which eventually happen and Roger was so dominant in the next 3-4 years until Nadal come and then Djokovic.

But for now, looking at the records, it seems that Djokovic is somewhat ahead now and it he wins the Wimbledon this year, definitely he will cement himself and the best of the best.
3463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 23, 2021, 06:07:41 AM
Regarding Suns versus Clippers, yes it's Ayton who is doing a neat job on the paint to let Suns be in the front this halftime.
12 points and 6 rebounds already.
Well, the guy just did an amazing job again closing that game with that jam to give them the lead. Okay, I guess they're that good on offense but good thing Clippers still shows they can do to close the gaps. Ayton was just consistent throughout the whole game and Zubac can't guard him to be honest.

Game 3 at downtown LA, I don't know if this was the case but at first they just get beaten but wins throughout the series, there's that theories circling around but doubt if it was really the case. This Suns's team was just good IMO but will probably watch the whole series and if Suns win, I'm rooting for them.

Yes, Ayton did the most damage in today's game, Zubac is no match, I will say that Ayton is the most agile of the two even though it seems that Ayton is slow but it's deceiving.

The the winning streak for the Phoenix Suns continues, it's hard to bet against them if they have players stepping up every game. So without CP3, they are capable of a sweep, just saying.

If Clippers can't respond back next game, it might be over 4-0. But we have seen Clippers bouncing back from 0-2 and win the series, so let's see how they are going to fight back against the streaking Phoenix Suns.
3464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 21, 2021, 07:20:59 AM

Will be certainly betting on the Suns to sweep this series with game one ending in their favor.
Even if they do lose one or two games, I will be backing them through out these playoffs for each and every game from now on.
They are a red hot team to watch during this season and post season. Cool

That's a great idea as even if they loss in game 2, you'll still get good betting odds backing the Suns.
I don't know what the betting odds for game 2 is, but I think it should not be -5.5 above as the Clippers are not dominated in this game.

In game 3, we could see the Clippers to be the favorites, and that's a good opportunity to bet on the suns as well.
And even if the Suns will become the favorites, it should be a slight favorite only.

Phoenix Suns is hot right now:

Against the Lakers, they won the last 3
Against the Denver 4-0
Now, 1-0 against Clippers

Winning streak in this playoffs: 9

The winning streak will definitely continue on the next game at it will be again on their home court and Booker is playing like his idol, the late Kobe Bryant. Even without CP3, he himself become the point guard had his first triple double and doing in a WCF, amazing.

So I wouldn't be surprised if they sweep the Clippers in this series.
3465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 21, 2021, 06:30:48 AM
First Nets and now 76ers. NBA becomes unpredictable once again. Hawks will play against Bucks. Giannis versus Trae Young.
Trae is confident with every shot he made while the 76ers cannot find their offense. There's just one thing the Hawks have to do, put pressure with Seth and Embiid. Harris was not helpful at the last minutes of the game like there's a lid at the top of the rim. 76ers should do something about their big weakness if they are keeping him, Ben Simmons.
Danny Green's lucky charm is not working anymore.  Grin

Yeah, it's really hard to understand how the 76ers lost this series against the Hawks. 76ers wasn't able to adjust against Trae Young, or simply put they can't stop them. I would say they choke, remember the game when they have a good 26 points lead and lost, just say how poor this team are when face with pressures. Simmons lost his confidence when he started to have a bad slump on free throws, becomes a liability in close game because Hawks are going to just foul him.

It might be time to let go of Simmons and trade him. Danny Green was injured so this series should not be counted on his "lucky charm".  Grin
3466  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish movement on the way? on: June 20, 2021, 08:49:45 PM
I think that for now the movement of BTC is being bullish, I see very far that for now it is bearish, in this sense the BTC has a considerable volume and it can be said that the bulls are making a great effort so that the price recovers. faster, for ender if the bulls make the price rise a lot, it will cause many emotions in people making them buy and buy for those who entered "short", close them and the rally is stronger, since the FUD has dropped , and the bears have taken good profit.

Yes, I think the bulls is trying to get back the market from speculators and those who short BTC right now. Saw the price dip as low as $34k if I'm not mistaken, but in the last couple of hours, it seems that there are buy orders pushing it to $36, and that is on a weekend. Usually I observed that on Sundays volumes are just so-so, but today as you have said, we have considerable volume so that's a big surprised. It could be an indication that bulls are still there, just need a little push to get back to at least $38k.
3467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas June 19 on: June 20, 2021, 11:28:44 AM
It was a total mismatch. Inoue was too sharp that night, his jab and then follow up with a left hook to the body, brutal. The first knock down you can see that Dasmarinas is already hurt, because of the delay reaction. But props to him to continue but the second body shot is wicked. I don't think anyone can recover from that. Very easy fight for Inoue, didn't break a sweat, they are in different league.
3468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Breaking : Donaire Versus Casimero on: June 20, 2021, 10:38:00 AM
I also wanted Donaire to win just because he will have a rematch against Inoue. And since Inoue has won against Dasmarinas, the stage will be set if Donaire will win against a tough fellow Filipino in John Riel Casimero.

In any case though, Casimero is also hot on Inoue's tail, so if ever he won as well, he will get Inoue. These Filipino dudes are tough, even at 38 years old, Donaire can spill pull the trigger, but Casimero is the young and the more hungrier.

^^ Same here, Home team Brooklyn Nets to win game 7. Handicapped odds currently is -1.5 @1.86.

ML is obvious lower @1.78 but still good specially if you just wanted to make sure regardless of the lead. Durant will have another great performance and Joe Harris probably above his average 3's.

We expect them to give everything they have since it's game 7, the last game of the series, no tomorrow for this series. The fans here should play a major factor in the success of the Nets, they need to have an energetic crowd so Giannis will miss his free throws. We haven't seen Harden took over yet, maybe because he is not 100% yet but I think 2 games after resting for a while is already enough for him to come back to his old self.

Durant and Harden should lead the team, and his teammates will just certainly follow.

What a bad performance from Joe Harris, Harden was getting a lot heat specially specially the comments he said on Giannis. But he has grade 2 hamstring injury, but in OT when KD passes him the ball, he wants him to shot, but he pass it back to KD and that airball.

The season ends here for the Nets, but I'm sure they will be back. I'm sure Nets fans are disappointed after giving up most of their players to acquire Irving and Harden only to flat out again.

Nadal skipping Wimbledon is bad news for the tennis world. Would have liked to see a final between him and Djokovic. I don't see Federer making it very far. The young players outpace him more and more and he needs a ton of outstandingly amazing days to compete with the younger generation. Who knows, maybe it is his last Wimbledon is he fails early in the tournament.

Nadal skipping the Olympic games and wimbledon is big news. This will affect the tournament big and its quality i really dont see anyone from the younger generations making a dent on Djokovic, maybe tsitsipas to get close or some good serve player but other then that this should be an easy win for Djokovic

Tsitsipas is not good at grass or fast surface, he is a clay court specialist. I'm seeing either Medvedev or Zverev from the young gen to challenge Djokovic in the Wimbledon. They have what it takes, but they have to be 110% ready and prepared not just their body but their mind as well that they can win against the top seed. Otherwise, Djokovic will have an easy grand slam victory again.
3472  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who were the morons that bought 60k bitcoin? on: June 19, 2021, 02:32:35 PM
Those buying Bitcoin at the highs are rarely considered morons for long. You have to remember that people like you were calling them morons for buying Bitcoin at $30, $1,100, $20,000, and now, $60,000… Makes you wonder who the next morons will be and at what price they’ll be called morons for buying…

Just trying to give you some perspective.

Exactly, and it just shows that bitcoin should be look at long term specially if by chance you have bought them on top like in the example of the OP @60k. Maybe in the next 4 years we might see the price going into 6 digits. And then going back, how you can you call them moron when they have invested and make profits just by HODLing?

And we all know that the market works in cycle, maybe today we are in a bearish trend, and then in the next months or years, your investment will grow 1000%.

Can we all agree that Jazz is nothing more than a regular season team ? They had the opportunity to prove us wrong after a great regular season and yet when they came in Play-offs they chocked against Clippers who were already tired after 7 series with Mavs and yet you start 2-0 against them and still losing 2-4.

I agree with your analysis, they started strong in this series, but somewhat instead of the Clippers choking, it was the Jazz who didn't adjust and the lost without Kawhi on the Clippers line-up. Defensive player of the Year and then Six man of the year and yet they can't close out a tired Clippers.

I must say congrats to Clippers because a few of nba fans believed that Clippers will reach the final this year , especially after the start they had.

I myself never thought that they can win against a powerful Jazz team. But they did it so kudos to them and let's see how far they can go against the Phoenix. I'm seeing them as being the favourite in the series even without Leonard.
3474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The notion that “Ethereum is a shitcoin” is passé in 2021. on: June 18, 2021, 11:16:24 AM
I would say that those two are either bitcoin maximalist or they don't understand how Ethereum works in real world. But we can't argue with them, I think they have made up their mind about Ethereum being a shitcoin, so be it.

But for real crypto users, or investors, Ethereum has a lot of use not just in 2021, but even in the years that it was developed and released. Currently, it has a lot of competition and yet Ethereum is still the prime movers of altcoin market.
3475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas June 19 on: June 18, 2021, 09:48:43 AM
I'm watching some highlights of the fights now, and some predictions as well, I kinda convince that Dasmarinas here really has a chance to upset Inoue. He just needs to be fast, don't just stand up and fight toe to toe versus Inoue as Inoue is a champion for a reason.

Yes, Dasmarinas has some decent power that can knock out anyone. Not just fast but he needs to have a good chin to stand against Inoue. Also he needed to be a volume puncher to make Inoue uncomfortable.

Also checking on the betting odds, still not available on the popular sportsbook.

I checked stake.com, sportsbet, and playbetr.

There is, but as others have pointed out, it's not reputable as the 3 sport bookies you mentioned.
3476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 18, 2021, 08:56:30 AM

You are right, but since both are really performing consistently well in the series, you'll have to take a high player props.

Just like the total points per player.

Durant, over/under 35.5
Giannis over/under 33.5.

Do you think it's a great idea to take the over?

Both went Under, KD only got 32 while  Giannis only have 30,

Bucks really dominates the Nets in this entire game, the help that KD needs from his teammate is not there, Jeff Green offense was missing

He have a big part of that win from  Game 5, and Even Shamet he only have 2points playing with 22 minuts, not the stat that you'll going to like since they are trying to close the series.

Moving forward, we will see a do or die game 7 for sure we will see a much tougher competition between this 2 East super teams.

Jeff Green was missing easy shots, he had like 2 or 3 near the rim, but he can't convert it. Same with Shamet and Harris, the Bucks has well defended them this time.

KD too is committing errors, so we can attribute that to the Bucks defense as well. P.J Tucker doing good and challenge him every shot, even fighting screens. I think he has 4 fouls containing Durant. That's already an accomplished limiting KD to 32 points. Giannis and Middleton providing the score for them.
3477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and CO2 emissions (Should we care?) on: June 18, 2021, 07:58:10 AM
Totally agree with your point of view, but the thing is Elon Musk has portrayed bitcoin mining as very bad to the environment and many people bought on that argument.

But even way back in 2017, it has been debunked already and now that bitcoin is again on the limelight, this argument surface again, but this time there was a face to it, Elon Musk. I guess he didn't understand how everything works, or just have his own narrative behind attacking bitcoin using this angle.
3478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You hoping that the next coin Elon will hype is one of the coin you are holding on: June 17, 2021, 12:11:55 PM
Though elon musk has not talked about many coins except bitcoin, dogecoin and ethereum, I believe he hates centralized coins. He's always in favor of the community taking the lead and the market being defined by the individuals rather than corporate. But his own company Tesla is moving towards a service based business while selling cars and becoming more like apple or facebook. It won't be a surprise if the next coin Elon advertises is his own private coin.

I don't think Elon hates centralised coins, it's really up to him what coin to hype next, but if you look at it, those coin that have been long and has a good support, those coins are more likely to be hype by him.

Not only selling cars, but there are news that his company are going to sell solar panel, so guess what crypto are more likely he is going to hype?
3479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 17, 2021, 10:57:24 AM
^^ PG13 is just on the shadow of Leonard in this series, but I would say that he is consistent, not just offensively, but in defense as all.

I love how Reggie Jackson, Mann and Batum are doing as well. They are also playing good defense at the same time hitting clutch three point. Wonder thought why Rajon Rondo is not giving enough minutes on the court, is he nursing some injury or something?
3480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 17, 2021, 10:16:14 AM
Really unexpected outcome both homecourt team lose their Game, Philly's messing with a blow out
game while Jazz have that big chance playing against Leonard's out Clippers,

Not sure what happened with Sixers as they've got that comfortable lead from the beginning of the game, just
like what wheelz said maybe some fans already turned the TV off thinking that it's already been settled and just waiting for the clock to finished.

Oh well, that's how things turns out, both number one seeders from the regular season are now endanger losing the series.

Unexpected indeed and if you are one hell of a basketball analyst, I'm sure you will lose both games.

Sixers have more than 20 point lead and still lost the game when everybody expected them to be a blowout win against the Hawks suddenly everything turns around in the fourth quarter. I don't know if it's the coaching that contributed to the loss of that game but I have to give credit to the Hawks for still fighting even if they are down most of the time.

Props to PG13 for lifting the Clippers even without his partner, I'm totally wrong with my expectation that they will lose this game because of the absence of Kawhi.

Yep, lost both of my bets.

Sixers feel very comfortable with that huge lead and all of a sudden here comes the Hawks and it seems they can't missed any shots while Sixers have difficulty in even making those FT. I agree that it may be partly on the coaching staff, they call a time out and then what? turn over, poor pass and poor shot selection.

On the other hand, PG13 proved himself again and redeem his name in the playoffs. Who wouldn't have thought that they now have the potential to knock out the top seed in the West next game.
