It is sad and shocking how the closest person in your life ended up being your enemy all over money. Well I guess what they say is true, love of money will be the root of all evil. Winning the lottery is a double edged sword I guess, if you have people in your life like those of the lottery winners have it will be hard to manage I guess. Controlling your money is easy, but the persons around you is isn't that easy money will always blind them.
It is not the love of money that we should be wary of and label it as the root of all evil. In my opinion, the root of all evil is the human nature of wanting to be more than the others. We can't change human nature that easily, as long as we see someone as competition, envy and greed will be present and nothing can stop someone with the conviction to steal from someone even if it is their family.
3462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: November 11, 2020, 05:40:26 AM
It depends on the perspective, if you are the player then it is more than just an entertainment for you because there are stakes that are directly affecting you. On the other hand, if you are an audience then it can be considered an entertainment, that is my two cents on the topic.
3463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long until we can bet with bitcoin in real life casinos? on: November 11, 2020, 04:57:55 AM
With the current volatility of bitcoin, I do not think that we can bet on physical casinos so soon. The players can find exploit with the current volatility of bitcoin like buying low then playing for awhile in high time then exchange the chips. They can digitize the chips exchange though, which mirrors cryptocurrency in a way which is more convenient for players and casinos alike.

^ What's done is done and these people just teach us a lesson of the possible mistake that can also ruin our lives if we will have a sudden earning like them. We cannot change the things that happened to them but because of them we can be better ones and be able to manage it by considering that a sudden earning should not be followed by a sudden decision on what to do next. Nevertheless, we should always weigh the consequences in every action that we are going to do if we won a million dollars because either becoming generous by sharing it with others or being selfish can both bring harm to us.
That is a great realization, it is smart to learn from your own mistake but it is wise to learn from other's mistake. I have read the article and I learned something new from this people. My realization in this is that generosity is the biggest weakness of these people, it could have been prevented if you have the balls to say no in the first place.
3465  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden and Cryoto on: November 11, 2020, 03:38:47 AM
If we base crypto on the performance of a country then what is the point of it being decentralized in the first place. I do not think that a government administration would have that much influence in cryptocurrency unless it is a CBDC, the nearest thing that we can call an influence between crypto and government is coincidence.
3466  Other / Off-topic / Re: Space Debris: A Subtle Way to Doom Humanity on: November 11, 2020, 03:04:25 AM
Most of the cost is human labor as there is essentially no mass production in rocketry up until this point. SpaceX has reduced the cost by essentially refurbishing all their rockets up to 10 tens (per Elon) but there's still no mass production. Give it another 10 or 20 years and you will see the cost lowered by several fold (probably not a magnitude) due to mass production of components and automation of many of the stages.
Human labor is not a problem, if I am correct, they might use automation instead of human workforce, the human resource is almost alloted in scientists and researchers. The most expense will be on the material that they are going to use, since the scarcity of some materials like platinum. If we were to wait a decade or two, the problem will only get worse.
3467  Economy / Economics / Re: After elections end this year for all countries, we are all screwed on: November 11, 2020, 02:25:13 AM
Too much negativity these days, can we please stop? Unless you can make a valid argument, then let it discussed.

Those things you told are already normal things we deal with everyday, nothing new.

I don't think 2021 will be the worst. It's the year of adjustment. We already being in the worst and that was this year, 2020.
The ramblings of someone will not be taken heed of as always. I agree that a lot of shit that could turn doomsday clock past midnight is happening. In my opinion, if the protocols to prevent pandemic are upped and is efficient, I think we are far from worse. OP should focus on improving oneself so that one has an impact to the people around and then do some steps to help the community even by little. There are a lot of negativities and it is up to us whether we wallow in that place or make a difference no matter small.

Its been said the cost to transport one kilogram of cargo into orbit, is so overwhelmingly expensive. If the moon were composed of pure gold. It would cost more to mine and transport gold from the moon, than the gold would be worth. That rule of thumb is pre Elon Musk, pre Space X. But still holds true. Claims of asteroids with "quadrillion" size net worths of rare minerals and metals trend towards marketing hype, with cost to extract and transport not factored in.

NASA says here it costs $10,000 to launch 1 pound (0.45 kilograms) of payload into orbit:  https://www.nasa.gov/centers/marshall/news/background/facts/astp.html

It could be more cost effective to salvage and repurpose space debris. Than it is to build new structures on the ground and blast them into space.
Most space debris are targeted to be that but the problem is the micro space debris that will have no recycling purposes, the clean up will be expensive but it will be worth it since we need as a civilization to advance further.
3469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on gambling casinos on: November 10, 2020, 07:40:33 AM

Just consider the ones which has a good reputation and being genuine from long time. And if you have no option buy must do KYC then on such sites you can prefer over others. Else if one give credentials to any unknown sites then chances of their data leak is very easy as you have no idea how it can be misuse.

With the current landscape of the Internet rife with news of identity theft and data leaks, it scares me to put personal details in my online activities. Gambling sites, especially the established ones surely have the ability to procure a safe data base for their customer information protection, although I am still skeptic because as technology in security innovates, parallel to it is attackers advancing too.
3470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP 10 Lottery Winner Losers on: November 10, 2020, 06:43:04 AM
Lol when we put our bet in gambling we are looking for a win of course so there is no wrong in relying to win but at least we are also ready to lose.

This mindset will save our asses from constant losses because we are aware of the other areas in what will happen to our activities in gambling.
That is just my take on people always saying what if I hit the big money. I know that it differs and financially speaking, gambling is not the best course of action. Or maybe I just do not get the mindset of this people. I do not think it will save you from constant losses, chances and odds will be the one that will save you.
3471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP 10 Lottery Winner Losers on: November 10, 2020, 05:41:22 AM
Who knows when that big shot will fall for you, it will be a life changer if you know how to value the money.

There are people who keep losing each time they've tried their luck but for people who really determine they will not stop as long as there's money that they can spare, it will just a continuous cycle from time to time, either they died or they'll get the chance of winning the jackpot and enjoy the rest of their lives.
Relying on the chance that you might hit the big jackpot is a dangerous mindset that could rock your financial status into shambles. Lottery should be the most avoided game in my opinion because it does not have anything in it for you, even if it is for charity. A good amount of it will go to the pockets of individuals behind the operation.
3472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP 10 Lottery Winner Losers on: November 10, 2020, 04:58:52 AM
If this will be my future then i rather not bet and win in lottery ,i don't wanna lose my love one and i don't wanna lose my life in those ways.

Why would people dream of becoming a millionaire when the end will be such a cruel  and inhumane death?

i know how Good having that much money when you can almost buy everything in the world, but remember that we cannot buy back our life when it was taken from us.

and i believe that even how good you will manage the winning still Greed of people will not stop to take it from you.

We are different on how we will do things, some of these people are just fated to be tied with this tragedy called instant wealth. In the end, you will be in control of what happens next when this thing happens to you. You can content with what you have but people are not the same as you. That much money in my opinion is too much. Like what the song says Mo' Money Mo' Problems.
3473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PRIZE OF FIGHTING Boxing’s biggest contracts revealed on: November 10, 2020, 04:14:35 AM
That's a lot of money they got there. I wonder I they will spend that much money in their whole lives. These guys are no longer need to worry about their financial cost throughout their life if nothing goes wrong along the way. Some of the past boxers who earns maybe not as much as this is now living a hard life due to their extravagance and proudness when spending their money. ended up almost losing everything that causes them to live in misery and regretting the things they did with their money. On the other hand, boxers on the list are getting some experience from those boxers to not follow their footstep ever when spending their money.
Most of the money will be taxed and they do deserve their contracts, I may be wrong but they can't get the money all in one go, it will be in trickle per month plus the managers of this boxers will get a cut from that money. They do deserve the money to be fair, they are participating in bloodsport and are entertaining millions, this money is nothing when the revenue for the tickets and pay-per-view comes in for the promoters. Consider this money as promoters investment in the fighter.
3474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on gambling casinos on: November 10, 2020, 03:28:36 AM
To make it simple if you are not comfortable providing your credentials on any platform don't use it. There are a lot of gambling platforms out there that are trusted and licensed where KYC is mandatory and for increased deposit/withdrawal purposes. Privacy always comes first, the risk of having an unlicensed platform handling your personal details is high.
I also want to add that if you can, go to a physical casino, they do not care that much about personal information. You should know by now that Internet is a wild world rife of scams and cons, so you better get your guard up when doing transaction or putting personal information.
3475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 10, 2020, 02:47:22 AM
The casino can force its old employee without giving any payment to recruit new employees with a small salary. It is normal to see that it happens, and perhaps, that is not just happening in Macau, but in the other place, that happens too. If we are still at the pandemic, and the government is hard to control their economy, they will not regulate the unpaid leave because that can make the business owner feel difficult to pay their employees. It happens to all businesses with many employees because many businesses have suffered in this pandemic. But many are trying to survive.
That is what businesses has been for a long time, it is not exclusive to casinos. If this was around the pandemic peak, this will raise some eyebrows but they pulled this off in a struggle phase which means this could be a problem for the businesses. This sounds scummy because revenues in casinos are still high which means more takeaway for the owner.
3476  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER ALERT (colires) on: November 10, 2020, 01:37:58 AM
Without any sort of evidence whatsoever your words are meaningless.

You also called Vareole, another low-level account that busted a different Rambotnic alt, a scammer several times earlier this month. Hmm...
"OP" have already given a negative feedback on "Vareole" account and there is no reference link there. Without valid reference link this type of feedbacks are completely meaningless. Though we are not getting the real intention of opening accusation like this but it seems to me that somehow it relates with recent Alt issue.

"OP" have also opened multiple accusation against "Vareole" but i am not seeing any evidences by which he can prove that he is telling the truth. Everytime he is opening new accusation with new topic title but no evidence.
This might be an alt of someone that tries to dishonor other member of this forum. Saying this might make me a target as well. If this was a legitimate accusation then there should be atleast an evidence, even an inkling to prove that there is some truth in the accusation. Good thing that there is a format for accusation and some sensible members that are willing to investigate.
3477  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List of telegram scam bots on: November 09, 2020, 08:00:49 AM
Can't believe that there are still a lot of people who are using Telegram knowing that it is a scammers paradise. I hope that this post reaches the right person and hopefully they see one of the bots they are using and prevent themselves from getting scammed. Any way, good catch OP, you are improving, from scam websites to bots good job.
3478  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Software That Copy Trades on: November 09, 2020, 07:28:54 AM
It will be a boring way to trade your funds because there is no challenge and the risk is higher because you are not in control of the trade, the person you are following might fucked up one day and down your trade goes. I do not know that much software that copy other traders, eToro is already mentioned and by far that is the most known.
3479  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: November 09, 2020, 06:38:57 AM
I still remember one of the threads that appeared here, around the time when I first joined this forum (in 2012). The thread was posted by an user, who had converted most of his wealth to Bitcoin. He was married, and found out that his wife is having an affair with a person of another race. He silently converted his savings to BTC, and then filed for divorce. His wife got suspicious and claimed that he was not being truthful with his assets. A few of the media outlets picked up this story and published articles about it. Anyway.. I don't know what happened in the end.

Edit: I found the thread. It's here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=355602.0
The problem with their marriage is that one of them is not content with the life that they are having as a couple. I do not marrying will not make you rich, try to minimize the spending on wedding and just splurge on the most memorable moments like photography, actually good for the guy not having that much money taken away from the divorce, that is time most guys get the most debilitated emotionally and financially. Find a partner that will have the same financial goal as you, and as a partner do not cosign unless you both paid for it. You just have to be wise about it. Stop all the BS about not paying taxes, we all pay taxes and we don't even know it.
3480  Other / Off-topic / Re: Space Debris: A Subtle Way to Doom Humanity on: November 09, 2020, 06:06:35 AM
This has been the issue with realizing the starlink program of Elon Musk, we have tons and tons of Space Junk floating around our Exosphere that we haven't even thought about on how to cleanup. Starlink's promise of uktra-fast internet speeds is ultimately undervalued considering the amount of costs and hazard the junks will cause in future space missions.
The most expensive space junks are those that are too small for eyes to see, they are by far the most dangerous because one hit from this micro space debris can be fatal for satellites or anything that comes its path. There are solution proposed and by far, shooting lasers in these micro space debris is the best call.
