₿ Bitcoin

Bitcoin(₿) is the world's first open-source cryptocurrency known as the decentralized digital currency. There is no need for any kind of financial institution or clearing house for transactions and it is not a currency issued by the government of any country.
In 2009, a man named Satoshi Nakamoto, or a group of pseudonyms, introduced the so-called peer-to-peer system.

Bitcoin transactions are transacted directly from the sender to the recipient's computer online. This open and distributed ledger is called a blockchain. Bitcoin is produced through mining where transactions are recorded and verified based on the processing power of the computer. The total amount of bitcoins that will be generated from the transaction decreases every four years. Thus, a total of 210,000.000 bitcoins will be created by 2140 and no new bitcoins will be created later.

Bitcoin: The Future of Money (and How to Get Some!).
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and worldwide payment system. It is the first decentralized digital currency, as the system works without a central bank or single administrator. The network is peer-to-peer and transactions take place between users directly, without an intermediary. These transactions are verified by network nodes through the use of cryptography and recorded in a public distributed ledger called a blockchain. Bitcoin was invented by an unknown person or group of people under the name Satoshi Nakamoto and released as open-source software in 2009.

68% of Americans started investing in cryptocurrencies last year.

These results were provided by Huobi in a survey. Another 21% of the 3,100 respondents joined the crypto industry just over a year ago.

3482  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [warning] Vulnerability in all major Linux distros gives full root privileges. on: January 28, 2022, 06:56:56 AM
This is not such a big problem when we know small percentage of people running Linux operating systems compared to wiNd0ws and mac.
Furthermore, release fix will be released much quicker than it would on other operating systems, and there is temporary mitigation solution released.
If you are running your Bitcoin node on Linux you can apply temporary solution if you want to be sure, and you don't have to worry if you use your OS offline.

As I understand it, you just need to update the system, since some developers, for example, Ubuntu, have already released patches.
Does this mean that if we are renewed, we will be protected? I work on Linux, but I am not an advanced user, and I would not want to get into this muck out of inexperience.
As for Windows, I don't trust this system at all.
3483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too! on: January 27, 2022, 02:48:28 PM
I like your positivity. As well as motivating topics that you create regularly. I accidentally found your similar topic, but written last year.
Why? Because the way the world goes, people will want to see BTC at $100K. And after that, they will want to see BTC at $1M.

BTC is the future, gold is the past.

It's all possible folks.

I'm a HODLer since 2013 and haven't sold a bit. If I can do it you can do it too Smiley

Your message history is permeated with a deep belief in bitcoin, it expresses great respect. Unfortunately, not everyone has such endurance, there are a lot of temptations to spend bitcoins.
But I support your idea with the motivation to trust people in bitcoin. If we see more crypto enthusiasts like you, bitcoin will probably do even better.
3484  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there still opportunity here for lower rank? on: January 27, 2022, 01:37:56 PM
OP, I wouldn't call you a newbie. Looking at your post history, you can tell that you are fairly familiar with cryptocurrencies. You understand trading, don't you? Why not write in the trading section and give good advice to real beginners.
After asking about a good project, and reading several of your posts, I have the impression that you are not the first owner of the account. However, if you are interested in the stories of people who have achieved promotion, I think it will be useful to read this thread.

Thanks for all the attention, this is just a short message that you probably don't need to take seriously.  Tongue

I am very happy to hear this! I am truly happy for you. Your merits say much more than your achievement of a new rank. At first, I did not take you seriously, thinking that your desire to be on the forum would quickly dry up. But fortunately, this did not happen. You are a good poster, I sincerely congratulate you on reaching the rank of Sr. Member and wish you a speedy achievement of the hero rank.
3486  Economy / Reputation / Re: ACCOUNT CONNECTED OR NOT on: January 26, 2022, 03:47:07 PM
That's not what I mean, if they break a new campaign, it's no good marking them on a one year old campaign.

A recent incident in the Russian local section tells a completely different story. A member of DT1 and his alternate accounts got downvoted for cheating 5 years ago if I'm not mistaken.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5105163.msg58923648#msg58923648

Moreover, these accounts were very active and only benefited the forum with their posts. But despite this, everyone was repainted.
Therefore, if @Stalker22 found a violation, it would be fair to flag these three as well.
3487  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happens to your network if bitcointalk go offline on: January 26, 2022, 10:11:40 AM
To my great regret, some users of this forum have left or simply disappeared for various reasons. We can't do anything about it. We do not know what happened to them and what is the reason for their absence from the forum. Those who communicate closely with each other probably have additional contacts, but you will agree that it is impossible to get the contacts of everyone you need at a certain moment.
So your question looks very naive, if not stupid. This is the internet if you remember. We are in a virtual world, with virtual names. And everyone has their own offline life, which does not appear on this forum. This is not a social network. And finally, if the forum ceases to exist sooner or later, I think no one will die for this reason. Everyone will continue to live and look for other alternative sources for their questions and passions.
3488  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The relationship between educational qualification and quality of post. on: January 26, 2022, 09:33:46 AM
Therefore, there are concepts of practice and theory. Having only theoretical knowledge, a person will speak in memorized terms, completely unaware that experience is of great importance. Those who have gone through this or that situation will most fully tell all the subtleties, in comparison with the usual theory. This applies to everything. How can a doctor who has never operated on a person tell a better story than one who performs operations regularly?
Therefore, education says little until we experience everything. See how juicy the posts of our gurus who know what they are talking about are, and how dry the posts look formulaically from those who have no experience.
3489  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the relation between BTC and Nasdaq? on: January 26, 2022, 09:06:46 AM

At least it's good that it isn't where I didn't see it... Roll Eyes

I was surprised by your claims to delete the topic, as I see that you always write good posts.

3490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello I am novice on: January 26, 2022, 08:45:54 AM
Try to chat in your local section, where you can better understand all the directions of the forum. It will probably be difficult for you to take on everything, so do not give up and follow it gradually. Your current enthusiasm is familiar to many beginners, but not everyone has become worthy of success. Feel free to ask about things you're interested in, but also try learning how to use the forum search.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5276341.0

Knowing how to look for answers to your questions, you will join the life of the forum much faster, gaining a reputation as a reading person, and not someone who is not able to find something on his own.
3491  Other / Meta / Re: What outsiders know or say about Bitcointalk. on: January 26, 2022, 07:13:17 AM

But as long as they don't post things like spam, attempted scam, and other things that harm other people then their existence in my opinion doesn't matter. They have the same rights to use this free forum as any other user.

At the first meeting with the forum, some newcomers do not always understand its value and come to it with only one purpose of earning. And to increase the benefits, they also create several alternative accounts. I have often encountered this situation. People sometimes change their minds after earning negative tags. And then we see a person who seems to be not a beginner but begins to appreciate his account and begins to take a deeper interest in bitcoin. I don't see anything wrong with people making a mistake and wanting to change. I also know many examples. It is better to stumble and realize that to constantly resurrect under other names, having only the goal of deception behind your soul.
3492  Other / Meta / Re: Who has the right to publish the ANN thread? on: January 25, 2022, 05:44:38 AM
He has an alternate account that belongs to the famous troll Excimer.

AKA korner? Also the impersonator of Bitcoin SV and Binance Coin?

Matches the pattern for sure.

Yes, that's right. This is Korner, as seen in the feedback from his alternate account.
He played a good guy until he was exposed. But his shitty essence still breaks out sooner or later.
The account is evading a ban. But seeing his constancy to this forum, the ban on appearing on this forum will not help much. He will create a dozen more of his kind, who sooner or later will show their wrong side.

Another savior of the world.

The Fastest Method To Eliminate The Corona Virus COVID Is Crying Screaming Out Loud
Source: https://saviorword.wordpress.com

If you want the fastest method to kill/eliminate the corona virus COVID then the answer is crying screaming out loud !

By crying screaming out loud, you are releasing the unwanted energy from your body back to the environment.

When you cough, you are actually releasing the unwanted matter.

Do you know why the athletes always open mouth when they are running out of energy?
They are actually releasing CO2 and other unwanted matter from their body so their body can operating at faster speed.

So other than the reconnecting with nature methods I have shared, another method you could see in the mainstream media will be crying screaming out loud.

Best Regard,
The Savior

3495  Economy / Reputation / Re: Accounts with Tag (Neg-Trust) are back to normal. on: January 22, 2022, 10:15:19 AM

Why is it that your feedback is bothering you now, mate?
I don't think this feedback is entirely intrusive.
as I said: because this topic is meant only to "request help tagging an account I flagged earlier" after I learned of the repercussions of my own behavior.

It is also important to understand that when DT members leave negative reviews, they take responsibility for their actions. This is not the mark of a simple user, but of someone who can be trusted.
Therefore, in order to ask DT to tag all your accounts, DT would have to check all or believe you, as himself.
But you, as I see it, are still not always confident in your investigations.

Can this Evidence be categorized as a Connected Account? Joining the same company But with different wallet addresses?

I am missing something here, why do you think these two accounts are connected? What is the connection between them? Blockchain transactions? But you should then present it as evidence...

3496  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: January 22, 2022, 09:35:25 AM
is it plagiarism where a user copies the title of a thread on a different platform but only copies part of the content?
Yes, absolutely. Even one copy-pasted sentence among 50 other sentences is considered plagiarism if it was stolen from someone else without providing the source where it came from.

It is, of course, possible to unintentionally write the exact same sentence like someone else did somewhere, especially if you are explaining certain crypto terms. Or if someone asks you who is Satoshi, it's very probable that strings such as 'the anonymous bitcoin creator' would be mentioned hundreds of times. There are few ways to explain it differently.

But in this case, there is no doubt that the post was plagiarized from Reddit or somewhere else he saw it.
The admins agree because he has already been banned

History repeats itself. The other day I complained to the moderators about the Ban evasion of this account.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5094661.msg59025659#msg59025659

But seeing the high rank of this account, they apparently felt sorry for him. In less than two days, this account was plagiarized.

What worries you the most? Are your posts underestimated? Or that you can't help others rate their posts? Suchmoon gave you good advice, if you can't earn someone else's posts, just show them to the sources of merit.
As for your posts, it's more of a problem with you than with others. Correspond to your rank, no need to blame someone, start with yourself.
3498  Other / Meta / Re: Who has the right to publish the ANN thread? on: January 22, 2022, 08:51:42 AM

He might own these coins himself and is trying to shill them hoping for greater opportunities to sell.
But since all of his threads are self-moderated, there might be malicious intentions behind all of this as well. Maybe he will change the links to point towards phishing sites in the future or create fake airdrops to spread malware or phish other users.

His profile page says

In reference to the user referred to by the OP.
He is Russian-speaking and wrote posts in Russian mostly, but strangely,  they have been deleted.
In addition, I can say that he cannot be trusted. He has an alternate account that belongs to the famous troll Excimer.
I had an incident with him where he accidentally gave away his other account.

The conversation was in the Russian local section, but I think it's easy to translate.
The point is, Excimer asked me a question about a post I wrote in a thread. Subsequently, he decided that I deleted him. I replied that the post remained in place, but he simply mixed up the topics and was looking for it in another topic.
To which Excimer, having mixed up his accounts, replied from another Unikon account . When I pointed out his mistake to him, he quickly deleted his answer.
All new topics created by this person are always self-moderated. And of course, he has a habit of deleting them at will.
He cannot be trusted.

Edit:
I didn’t have any disputes with him, but I think Ratimov can give an exact answer whether he is an Excimer viola or not

Have you heard of GPT sites?
Look it up on Google. A few years ago they were very popular. And today I also see their activity. But I can't recommend just one paying site, as it's desirable to participate in most of them and have some tricks that people use to increase their payouts. In any case, you need to try.

However, I understand that this project has inspired you, but if you value your presence on the forum, you should understand that using the sources from which this information is taken will create a better reputation for you.
Yes, probably the whole article is your work, but I do not believe in the coincidence of the flow of thought, and the coincidence of the order of words.
I can tell you a lot of stories when many accounts were banned in 2019 for copy-pasting, plagiarism, just a few words.
Do you want such an outcome?
