Yipee. didn't need to wait too long to become legendary.  Grin

Unfortunately, I am nowhere near feeling that this awesome rise is "life changing." Probably because I've only been dicking around with cryptocurrencies for the past two years with chump change. My hats off to those who are now rich. Just remember to quit while you are ahead. Cool

Well, I guess that I'll just keep accumulating. Network is still alive. The name on this coin is terrific. Who doesn't like to party? Or maybe it's just making me remember my youth in the 90's.
3484  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary one day? on: June 06, 2017, 04:37:14 AM
Was this the week for the activity score update or was it last week?
It was this week i believe, better luck next time.
Still waiting. Oh well, my activity is only in the 800s.

I had to wait until around 1100 i think.. so it could be a while.

Luckily though i got my prize on time Smiley

If your account was created before 2014 and you get Legendary they give you 1 free Bitcoin  Grin

I was too late to the party to earn the prize. I was too busy with BOINC at the time.
3485  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 06, 2017, 04:29:58 AM
I wish that I had been sneaky and bought more BTC in 2015. Oh well, I would have probably wasted it buying more shitcoins and cloud mining anyway.  Roll Eyes I guess that I should just be happy with my 1.3 BTC that I have now.  Smiley
3486  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump pulling out of Paris Climate Deal - Here's why I think it's great! on: June 06, 2017, 01:32:07 AM
Climate deals only last as long as a president stays in power, unless they get 3-4 terms in the USA only binding obligations will ever change that outcome. That said regardless of whether they are in or not in aggregate everyone suffers from the greenhouse effect, and cancer near the production locations. I say plant more trees so we can farm them later ^^.
I think that all the same things like climatic arrangements should be supported by all countries that use very large production. The fact is that there is a large percentage of the impact of CO2 emissions on the atmosphere. Of course, you can fix this situation, plant many trees, but at the same time a person destroys a large number of forest points. We do not have time to recreate what has already been destroyed.

Although planting trees would have a small positive impact, we are releasing the carbon dioxide that it took plant life and microbial life many eras to sequester.

Any word on the progress of the Android wallet?
3488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PARTY] PartyCoin - PoW/PoS Hybrid | 121% Yearly Stake | Airdrop Closing | on: June 03, 2017, 10:19:47 PM
Sorry what ? What has this coin got to do with PartyCoin  Huh The only reason that it is quiet in here is due to the fact that nobody is applying to the airdrop anymore and we are waiting for the Staking Android and iPhone App Wallets.

What more can be said while we are waiting ?

Keep partying on !

Well the similarities between the announcement threads are really close, i guess that is why. Also the bounties are pretty much the same. But he could have just copied the template for his own ann, it is hard to know.
They probably just used the same service to create the coins.

It still mystifies him that Bitcoin becomes a new form of digital money and store of value because of people's belief in bitcoin's core attributes as money (i.e., permissionless, deflationary, scarce, utility, divisible, fungible, etc).

Since when is Bitcoin fungible? Since every transaction is public, coins can and have been red flagged. Ever try to transfer coins to or from a gambling site to Coinbase?  Roll Eyes

True, and they would be fungible without such censorship. I don't approve of what Coinbase is doing (or any other exchange for that matter). They're only going to strengthen the use of tumblers and tech like Mimblewimble in the future.

But tbh, just go try selling some PMs at a coin shop without being asked where you got it from, or without having to show proof of purchase.  Wink

1. Don't use Coinbase.
2. CoinJoin or JoinMarket.
3. If you must use Coinbase, just send it to your wallet first, then bounce it a couple of times.

Or just use a Mixer for Coinbase, or send to another exchange.

I don't think Coinbase has something against mixer. Or do they?

How exactly is that fungible then, if I have to send extra transactions at additional expense and time to spend the coins at a venue of my choosing? Also, I just used Coinbase as an example. Any service can red flag any coins for whatever reason they feel "necessary". If they word their Terms of Service correctly, they can also refuse to let you have back any coins you happen to have on deposit at the time. "Clean" or not.

...Even Ivanka already knows that Trump out of his mind.
Bah.

Made up political horseshit.

Here's another point of view.

All he did was fulfill a campaign promise.

So blame the people like me, who voted for him.

Well, I guess he has to take the opportunity when he can to fulfill a promise. After all, the Republicans in congress are not being very cooperative with other items on his agenda. I'll be shocked if they ever pass a decent infrastructure bill. That's one of the few promises that he made that I could really get behind.

As for Ivanka, nice try, but I personally have no clue why the Trumps are trying to win over the LGBTQ community. Milo is definitely the exception and not the rule.  Cheesy

What is this forkblock thing? I have some btx in a windows wallet, do i have to do anything?is it ok to just leave them there for now?

Just make sure you update the wallet before block 10,000 and you should be fine. That should be sometime around the end of June or the beginning of July. Downloading the update will not effect affect your coins because it will use the same wallet.dat stored elsewhere on you hard drive.

We need to step up our wall observations, all our posts are being deleted. We're all going to die.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, it seems to targeted towards funny images and memes. I guess this thread will become dull and humorless now.  Undecided

They only deleted one of mine so far. It was a meme that stated "the sky is falling" and when you clicked on the image, it took you directly to BitcoinWisdom's web page. Not sure how they construe that I was off topic or that my post was "insubstantial." They also deleted it 6 weeks after I had posted it. They must be trying to clean up some space on their servers or something.

This is really insulting that you millennials seem to think that bitcoin is too "advanced" for us Gen X people. You really think this is more complicated than logging onto a BBS with a 14.4 k modem and using gopher to try and find a file to download? OK, whatever. Roll Eyes

Looks like the big boys have shown up to the pool to party. Time to try and move some BTC to Yobit and get some more coins that way rather than renting hash at MRR. Just hope the moon shot doesn't occur before I can get my BTC to Yobit. However, the BTC blockchain is stopped up bad, and my BTC is not on an exchange so I can try moving my funds quick with another coin.  Embarrassed
