3481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: September 01, 2021, 01:29:09 AM
It is looking likely that this fight will get cancelled. Valdez tested positive for the stimulant phentermine. It was out of competition so the local boxing commission doesn't necessarily have to suspend him but he will probably lose his world title since he is being tested as part of the WBC Clean Boxing Program.

That's weird, I thought that this drug is being used to lose weight, but in his last fight against Miguel Berchelt, he is going up in weight.

Another thing is that how his team let him take this drugs when they know the consequences of it. And now that he is stripped of the world title, he is back to square one again and all of his previous fights will be tainted with allegations.
3482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 01, 2021, 12:51:43 AM
Khachanov 1.46 v 2.75 Harris

That should be a close match and I think Harris has a right chance to beat Khachanov.

And Harris beat Kachanov, good call.

I forgot that I have a bet on Schartzman vs Berankis @1.94 to cover -6.5 handicap and it's a win.

Lots of good and close match again that can go either way, just a matter on how you analyze the game.

Even the Tsitsipas vs Murray was unpredictable as well. Djokovic -10.5 @2.00 vs Rune, that seems to be very attractive.
3483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto feel good story: Texas kids make $32,000/month mining ethereum on: September 01, 2021, 12:13:41 AM
Yeah, but this seems to be a thread about this one in the altcoin boards: Kid already making $32k monthly through ethtereum.

In any case, it's good to hear that at the early ages, the siblings found a way to make money mining ETH. And who knows, this 2 might turn out to be some CEO of companies mining not just ETH but BTC as well. And this could also open up some opportunities to others as well or parents to guide their kids about cryptos.
3484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some fundamental questions about the Bittcoin. on: August 30, 2021, 01:20:08 AM
3- When all Bitcoins mined then what will happen? Its network completed?

I'll just answered this one, as others have said the last bitcoin will be mine in 2140, so I assume everyone is dead by then. But you don't have to wait that long, in 2038, when "almost all bitcoin" has been mine then we will see what's going to happen to bitcoin. Maybe the price will shoot up, or maybe some miners are going to shift to other coins.
3485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: August 30, 2021, 12:56:44 AM
I think with all the sponsors he will be getting he may be making well over a million dollars along with the guaranteed fees and it will be the biggest payday in his career and i am sure if Tyron Woodley looses against Jake Paul he will call out his brother Logan Paul .
This is what I do not understand? Tyron was a world champion in UFC and everyone is saying that he will make more money in this fight than his entire career. How is that true? I do not watch much UFC but I do watch The Ultimate Fighter and they talk about 6 figure contracts if they win the series. That is not champions surely if you are a champion in the UFC you are earning more than 1 million per fight. Conor Mcgregor is one of the highest paid athletes of all time. Logan Paul is much bigger than Tyron? I do not think that would be sanctioned by the the commissioning bodies. I do not think he is earning the most he has ever earned in his career I think that is media talk. Tyron is definitely taking this fight because of the money and he said in the face to face that he will be open to fighting other boxers and would prefer to do boxing instead of mixed martial arts.

Admit it or not, Jake Paul bring casual fans to the arena, so obviously, he will get the biggest share of the cut. Even Showtime's president of sports even acknowledge it.

So they take a risk on Jake Paul now and it seems to be a worth as there are a lot of hype around it. Specially fighting a ex-UFC fighter like Woodley who can give a good fight today. And we all know that this trend has started and will continue to make money for this fighters.
3486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: August 30, 2021, 12:34:18 AM
Still good money for Caleb and this good be his biggest paycheck, $10 million + ppv, most likely in the tune of $11 million++ regardless. Kovalev and Jacobs has made their names though that's why a slight higher purse.

Yeah, if he somehow upset Canelo, then maybe they will set up a rematch and he can make double his money, risk worth taking at this point of his career.

What makes you think that he will settle for just $10 million for the rematch, in case he wins this one? Caleb is yet to make his name like Canelo, and that is why he agreed to such a lop-sided deal ($10 million for him and $40 million for Canelo as the guaranteed purse). If he upsets Canelo, then the next time he is not going to settle for an amount which is lower than that given to Canelo. It can be 30-20 (in Caleb's favor) or at least 25-25. This is the fight of his life. If he loses this one, then in all probability he will not get a similar opportunity for the remainder of his career.

Read again, I say he can make it "double", so a minimum of $20 million will be on the table for him for the rematch. However, I still think that Canelo will be on the A-side even after he lost, so he will still get a lion share of the purse.

And as far as I know, Canelo said that he is open for a trilogy with GGG, but Golovkin needs to go up to 168 lbs.

So there is still a chance that we can see the trilogy, but GGG will be in his 40's already.

Quote
Canelo Alvarez hasn't closed the door on facing his biggest rival one more time. On Thursday, Alvarez indicated he wasn't opposed to facing Gennadiy Golovkin for a third fight after Alvarez finishes the current task of unifying the super middleweight division.

"The truth is, I'm open for anything," Alvarez said through an interpreter two days before he faces Billy Joe Saunders at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

The stipulation, however, is that Golovkin move up to the 168-pound division. Both of their previous fights have been at the middleweight limit of 160 pounds.

3487  Economy / Economics / Re: What could make a hacker return stolen $600m crypto on: August 29, 2021, 05:33:58 AM
Perhaps it was not the plan in the beginning, but when he made a mistake and knows that in due time he can be track and sent jail then obviously the best thing to do is to return back the stolen $600 m and claim that you wanted to show the security flaw in the beginning.

And how can he encash that huge amount without being track as well? He can make his life smaller and miserable with that hack. And in return, he got $500k, that's a good bargain already.
3488  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Price Prediction on: August 29, 2021, 04:56:53 AM
We should also consider the Bitcoin dominance here.
With all these altcoins started to popping everywhere and huge pumps happening, it makes Bitcoin dominance decrease.

Yeah, to a certain extend, but dominance should be factor that high as altcoins can artificially pump their trading volumes, and other numbers affecting altcoins dominance.

As you experience when Bitcoin dominance below 50% last May 2021, it starting a hard time to stay above 50% again, even a few weeks ago Bitcoin dominance tried to break 50% level but failed, that's why we are seeing altcoins pumping everywhere.

NFT's, staking, hard forks are some that cause that altcoin market to pumps.

As compare to bitcoin wherein we have a FUD coming from China and then the Elon Musk effect. And also the hash rate drop. But it seems that it is over as the price is climbing back to $50,000 at least this month alone.
3489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: August 29, 2021, 04:18:15 AM
Caleb Plant will gain a lot if he wins this fight from being an unknown he will become a household name,

If you are talking about the purse money, Caleb Plant won't gain much if he wins. The purse was set fixed on which Plant will earn $10M while on the other hand, Canelo will take home $40 as far as the terms are concerned.

If you are talking about reputation and fame, Caleb Plant will surely gain a higher rank and more money offer in the future if he will able to pass the heavy favorites Canelo.

Caleb doesn't care much about money. Three years back, he claimed that he would surrender the entire purse, if he gets an opportunity to fight for the IBF championship. And the $10 million we are talking about is the guaranteed purse. He will receive $10 million (and a share from the revenues if they cross a certain threshold) even if he losses the match. It is slightly lower than what Sergey Kovalev and Daniel Jacobs got paid ($12 million each), but Caleb has said that he's happy with the revenue sharing agreement. Obviously if he wins, then he will receive a significantly higher amount.

3490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥶 Winter Beijin 2022 🥶 Discussion and bet thread 🥶 Winter Game 🥶 on: August 29, 2021, 03:51:14 AM
The last time I got interesting watching the Winter Olympics is way back when Apollo Ohno was the Golden Boy of the Olympics, the most decorated Winter Olympics athlete from the US if I'm not mistaken (already inducted to the US HOF.

Just imagine him the Michael Phelps of Summer Olympics when he was dominating the swimming events.

But maybe this time, I will try to follow and see how will be the next face of the American athletes.
3491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 29, 2021, 03:13:45 AM
^^ Busta if I'm not mistaken is the top seed in this tournament so that speaks as to who entered or not.

Congrats on your win, I haven't put a bet on it, but Cilic has lost already and Bublik and Delbonis, so #6 and #5 and #10 is out of the tournament already.

But still a good tournament to bet with, there's money to be made as there are upsets here and there.

I lost my bet on Ymer, I thought he can overcome Ivasha, but Ivasha form is perfect in this match winning 6-0, 6-2, damn that was total domination.

Just looking at the odds for Tsitsipas vs Murray, 1.08 ML and then handicap -7.5 at 2.01.

I think Murray can still give a good fight, although Tsitsipas might win in 2 sets, but that handicap? not sure if he can cover it. So I will skip this match, there are a lot of games that it worth to bet to give us a good returns.
3492  Economy / Economics / Re: Cuba the next country to accept cryptocurrencies? on: August 28, 2021, 04:44:14 AM
I imagine the dictatorship could create a national wallet provider, similar to El Salvador, and force everyone to use wallets monitored by cuban authorities. Zero tax evasion and total control over citizens' financial actions and funds. Depending how bitcoin is regulated, it can really fit the most tyranical goals... After all it's just a tool, and every tools can be used for the good or bad, depending on who is using it.

If that is the case then they should created their own CBCD.

But for sure, this regulations meant that they will tax their population. They are still under the umbrella of communism so that makes their government curbing any freedom including financial. Yeah, could be a welcoming news for bitcoin enthusiast in that country, but it's a different ballgame when the government are around snooping in your every move.
3493  Economy / Speculation / Re: The arrival of new people in the world of cryptocurrency is really fun on: August 28, 2021, 03:19:33 AM
To be honest, it's no fun because you really have to focus regardless if you are a investor or a trader.

So those arriving today might have a false sense of security thinking it's a ticket to become a millionaire, yeah it could be but it will take a lot of time and money as well to double or grow your investments in the future. So I would advise that if you are a beginner, just take your time to learn, this is not a sprint but a race and who ever survives in the end will be the big winner.
3494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 28, 2021, 02:42:13 AM
^^ Exactly, Casimero is just pure trash talking in the media and even Sean Gibbons himself. He even tells that Casimero is willing to travel to Japan and challenge Inoue in his own country. To be fair with Casimero though, he has traveled a lot and beat other boxers in their home court.

But presenting a written contract to the opposing promotions is different though, so there will be a lot of back and forth war in the media regarding Casimero vs Inoue and it will be a chess game for these promoters.
3495  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin @ $50k on: August 27, 2021, 09:59:48 PM
We've past 200 day average but it has a gravity to it, we have to at least confirm price action as remaining above on daily and weekly bars.   Thats part of why we pull back now though it appears as weakness right now its also nessecery to gain higher prices later over longer time frames.

This is just a pullback that soon will recover, this has been the trend and since we are not able to sustain the level of $50k, this is more likely expected to happen. We’re still on a good trend on a good indicators, if time allows we might go for the last quarter on a good price and beside, ghost month is about to end and I expect September will be a great month again for cryptocurrency.

Pull back is over, the price has recovered in the last 24 hours with a 3%++ jump as bitcoin future expiration settlement is completed yesterday.

So yes, we are in a good trend again and the bull run has resumes, so I will not be surprised to see the price jumping to $50,000 again in no time. And then entering the last quarter will a full bullish sentiments and then taproot in November. Everything looks bright.
3496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should other countries did not accept Bitcoins? on: August 27, 2021, 03:48:06 AM
For one countries see Bitcoin as a tool for criminals because of it's supposedly (pseudo) anonymity. And then there are oppressive governments that doesn't want economic and financial freedom for their people. Bitcoin can't be tax if they are not regulated, and the news that it is being used to scam people as well. So that's just a few reasons why there are still government around the world that totally ban bitcoin and the whole crypto ecosystem.
3497  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Tamed on: August 27, 2021, 03:08:55 AM
Nah, I don't think that the bulls have been tamed, remember that there are billions of bitcoin future contracts that are going to expired by today. So obviously, then want the price to go down a bit and that has always been the case if you are going to look at the price history in correlation about the expiration. So let's wait tomorrow and up to the next week, the price will go back again above $50k.
3498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - Aug 14 on: August 27, 2021, 02:11:29 AM
Kambosos did not caused the fight to be delayed, the last postponement was due to Lopez getting infected by the corona virus. And Lopez doesn't want to and travel to Australia (Kambosos home country) to fight because of home cook decision (remember Pacquiao vs Horn)?
What does the home cook decision mean? I thought this fight has already happened and I just didn't saw the result or I missed it but it seems that it's postponed again and again. Hopefully they settle this fight so we can move on and see other upcoming matches.

Maybe what he meant is that Lopez is against fighting Kambosos in his home soil because of the possibility that the decision might be biased if the fight goes to distance and the decision will go to the judges hand.

We have this happened to Manny Pacquiao against Jeff Horn in Australia wherein majority saw Pacquiao winning the fight but the judges seems to see it differently because the final score show Horn ahead on three judges. And Lopez doesn't want that to happen to him.

So this fight will be held outside of Australia? I think it was a good thing that it was postponed to October and not August because it almost coincides with Manny's fight and ticket for this fight might not sell well.

It's almost a year now since Lopez defeated Loma and he might have ring rust so I might go for Kambosos because I have doubt in Lopez. Lopez may held the four biggest belt in his division but the manner of how he get it is not so impressive and why he doesn't want a rematch with Loma, is he afraid that he might lose in their second fight?

They are targeting a US venue now, so that's good for boxing fans because of the time difference and it will really sell in the US since Lopez has cemented his name already.

I do agree that ring rust might play a big factor on Lopez, so let's see if he is really that great that he can adjust as the fight goes on.

I'm not sure why he doesn't want to give Loma a chance, but most likely it will be competitive as the first fight because Loma has a shoulder injury that time and it has been healed 100% already as he destroyed Nakatani months ago.
3499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 27, 2021, 01:18:44 AM
^^ It seems that you are in winning streak mate, good to hear that.

So it will be Carreno-Busta vs Ivasha, I think Carreno-Busta will win in this match in two sets after this great showing in his last game, -3.5 @1.98 is a very attractive.

Gasquet vs Ruusuvuori, relatively unknown Ruusuvuori surprise entry of the tournament, reaching as far as the QF. I think with Gasquet experience, he will overcome Ruusuvuori in 3 sets here, or over 22.5.

Just watching the Carreno Busta v Ivashka match and Ivashka has taken the first
set tie break. Looking at the stats for that first set it looks like Ivashka's service game
is better. I hope Pablo can do the job here and take the next 2 sets.

I have repeated my bet from yesterday, Carreno Busta and Tiafoe, who beat Monteiro.

And just like that, Carreno-Busta just lost his quarter-finals match against Ivashka, so this is the major upset of the tournament. And then Ruusuvuori defeated Gasquet as well.

Ymer vs Tiafoe, the score is tied 1-1, third set now, Ymer up 4-2, I think we will have another upset as those unseeded are going into the sems-finals.
3500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: August 27, 2021, 12:08:41 AM
Not a big fan of Caleb Plant, but I want him to win this match. Canelo cheated GGG of victories not once, but twice (with some help from subhuman judge Adelaide Byrd).

That's a big accusation. I don't know on what part Canelo cheated but their fight was intense.

Maybe you are reading speculations and controversies much rather than the technical side. I like to have their rematch too to finally closed the door. Better to place a bet on Caleb Plant if you don't like Canelo. The odds are attractive and worth risking a bet. Who knows upset will happened.

Maybe he was referring to their first fight wherein it was a draw and majority thinks that GGG did enough to win the fight. And then in the second fight, it was really close and it can go either way. But Canelo was the winner and then GGG wanted a trilogy, actually it was very close to happen until Canelo bolted out Oscar Dela Hoya Golden Boy promotions.
