3481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people say Bitcoin has reached its "maximum exposure" level? on: September 26, 2014, 07:36:14 AM
The people who make these claims are likely the ones who have been attacking Bitcoin from the beginning, they're trying to come up with more and more excuses and spins to try and scare people away from it. Even though people aren't generally that interested in it yet, they're clearly not believing the bullshit spin by media outlets, calling us all drug dealers, terrorists and paedophiles isn't working so now they're going to be coming up with new labels for us.
3482  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Australian Govt. form asks if I own any Bitcoin of Cryptocurrency on: September 26, 2014, 07:22:58 AM
That's like the kind of stupid questions you see from the Americans when they ask about terrorism and espionage, they aren't going to be able to prove anything regardless unless you show them it directly and the only other way they'd find out is by spying on you because Bitcoin wallets and Bitcoins themselves don't directly link to a person.

I mean, if you really want to be careful and say yes to be honest then by all means, but I don't think there will be repercussions either way but you'd have to consult a lawyer on that to be sure.
3483  Other / Off-topic / Would cheaper Jewellery designs make you more inclined to buy? on: September 26, 2014, 04:54:11 AM
So I'm having a look at different ways I can get people to buy my Jewellery, I realised there isn't going to be that much of a market yet for it but I have seen others selling and I wanted to ask people if they had any reason for it or is there simply just not demand for it right now? Lets be honest, I'm sure as more women start learning how to use Bitcoin chances are I'll get more attention because I've received pretty positive comments from the people who have seen my stuff but I wonder if I need to go and make some much cheaper designs, I'm talking the stuff you see out there that's £10 or so rather than the slightly pricier necklaces I have now which have semi-precious stones on them.

Would you guys be more inclined to try buying from me if I did this? Or is it something else entirely? I want to get sales going and I'm researching ways to get products out there, I keep wondering if it isn't the fact that I have any reputation which is making people rightly paranoid because I haven't made any sales yet but then that in itself is a problem because I need to get people to trust me by having sales but people won't trust me precisely because I don't have anyone trying to buy my stuff lol Tongue

So far I only had that one guy who was interested in the Iolite necklace I had but nothing really came of it ( And some other guy tried to scam me of my product ) so I'm making my thread now in order to have a chat with people, maybe I could send a cheap design to someone and they could review how the sale went or do it for free? Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions.

For those who don't know, I have a business thread here where I post all my updates: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=121471.0

Ugh, looks like another one of those users who posts on here wanting an answer we won't give him and won't respond to anything else so he'll just spam rather than talk to people, that said, family and others taking your money is a very good reason to get into Bitcoin.
3486  Economy / Services / Re: Can someone help commission me? on: September 26, 2014, 03:21:35 AM
Then why is it posted up on your deviant art that you got one? And yes, this is the kind of scrutiny you come under on Bitcointalk and yes, people do and will check because real money is involved here.
3487  Economy / Services / Re: looking for a trusted member of bitcoin community on: September 26, 2014, 03:14:45 AM
Make sure you get someone with positive trust and you should be fine but like b!z they may charge a percentage lol Tongue

Not you. I was referring to OP. Smiley

I know that's what I'm talking about lol Cheesy I responded to be helpful without actually checking out his background first.

This artwork isn't bad at all but it's a very specific art style, have you considered going into animation? There's this free animation software out there called pencil which I think is awesome and is designed precisely for that kind of work, I've seen people make some basic anime animations with it as well, you draw directly onto it with a tablet per frame rather than having to scan anything in or do the frames separately so it's easy to sketch something out.

http://www.pencil-animation.org/

You could sell your work for Bitcoins, but you'd need to find people who'd be willing to pay, it may be easier selling in dollars or something and then buying Bitcoin instead but it depends on what you want to do, Bitcoin isn't popular enough yet that everyone will immediately be okay with paying in it so it's even more difficult for somebody working in a niche market.
3491  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-25] CD: Huobi Sends $400k to Wrong User Accounts on: September 26, 2014, 12:50:44 AM
I've seen it happen on this forum, no one is immune from this, always double check your addresses especially if you're about to send a large amount of money somewhere.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/relationships/fatherhood/10122543/Fathers-Day-Children-suffering-from-bias-against-men-says-Captain-Corelli-author.html

^ Plenty more where this came from the matriarch here can't even argue effectively against this. If you like I can even go into how women get much lighter sentencing and go into the whole thing we had here recently about car insurance, but of course, according to you men are 'privileged'. Also, in regards to education and peer pressure I think you'll find that men are often more scrutinised than women because they're expected to the providers in the family.

Do you really want to get into this kind of argument? I'm not saying there isn't sexism against women, I'm saying you need to stop bitching about something somebody says to another person when there are far more serious forms of sexism out there.

p.s. Any man with a brain would be absolutely paranoid about birth control, I know I am and I'm fucking single but I'd still be terrified of getting a girl pregnant when I wasn't ready for it
3493  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sexual objectification of women, what the hell is this? on: September 25, 2014, 02:25:24 PM
I think people need to fucking get over themselves and stop reading into things so much, I believe there was this exact kind of bullshit surrounding hurricanes that were named after women.

http://www.slate.com/blogs/future_tense/2014/06/03/are_hurricanes_named_after_women_more_dangerous_not_so_fast.html

Maybe men should start lobbying and getting up in arms over every little fucking thing people say about us, also, lets be honest, I have noticed a large number of Bitcoin users here don't write very good English, I suspect that's because most have it as their second language so that's normal. Tongue
3494  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Atheism BS on: September 25, 2014, 10:46:37 AM
Yes I am, whether or not god exists or not is irrelevant to me, it's the fact that he and also his followers are a bunch of violent cunts that affects my belief system, I haven't even gone into the fact that the new testament pretty much advocates child abuse yet and already religious people are having a fit Tongue lol.

"agnostic" means nothing more than "rational", for to use reason is to follow the facts and only the facts, to base conclusions only on what can be demonstrated or detected in some way, and to refrain from "jumping to conclusions" on the basis of personal preference, emotion, or "faith".
--Yet another quote from "Atheism and Secularity", Chapter 1

There is no spectrum between atheism and theism and no third position; observe that while you were saying that, you were not believing in god(s).

I'm interested in seeing some actual scientific evidence of god existing from these so called worshippers but so far the only responses they have given amount to "Just trust me I know" and "Because I say he exists".
There is evidence for survival of the personality (after death), so what force is causing that? Humanism?

The correct answer is "We don't know" I notice that religious people love to lecture other people about jumping to conclusions the majority of their beliefs come from precisely jumping to conclusions. Also, there's a difference between acknowledging a god's existence and whether people believe in it or not. I think he's a cunt and I would never worship him, but if someone provided me with substantial evidence to prove he exists then I'd acknowledge that. As an already existing example of this relating to my Anarchism, democratic governments are supposed to exist to govern and represent the will of the people, but do I believe in that? No because I have plenty of historical and mathematical evidence that suggests otherwise, adding to this I already have lots of people who have the same belief as me.

So the same logic can easily be applied to God's, but so far, not only do I not believe in anything he or mainly his followers have to say, I have also seen very little realistic peer reviewed evidence that he actually exists in the first place, those are just the facts and denial and several centuries of brainwashing doesn't make it any more true and don't bother trying to sugar coat it because that's what it is, brainwashing, I feel the same way about public schools that teach history by the way and don't let children form their own opinions or do their own research on things by the way.

The difference between me and a theist or even an Athiest is this, I have the balls to admit when I don't know something, but the things I have seen and I do know about God make me reject the belief system utterly, why would I want to take part in a religion that advocates child abuse, the oppression of women and homosexuals and the genocide of non-believers?
3495  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christian BS on: September 25, 2014, 10:40:09 AM
Oh and don't forget the fact that they advocate child abuse.

Quote

 Proverbs 23:13-14New International Version (NIV)
Saying 13

13 Do not withhold discipline from a child;
if you punish them with the rod, they will not die.
14 Punish them with the rod
    and save them from death.

This one I've bolded particularly makes me laugh, lets see them worm out of this quote.
3496  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Atheism BS on: September 25, 2014, 10:27:16 AM
You see this is why I'm an Anarchist, far easier to just tell God to fuck off whether he exists or not rather than argue with religious people all the time about whether or not he exists in the first place.
Smiley
I usually don't argue with them - rather pointless. Whenever I do so, I do it for fun, for my own amusement. It's the burden of the religious people to prove god's existence and to stage repeatable experiments to that end. Atheists can just sit back.

By your words, you are an agnostic, by the way.

i have a hard time labelling myself as an atheist - i just see it as a religion for people who don't believe in god.

See my comment above about the stamps Wink

I don't believe in great many things. Does it mean that I am a disciple of a million different religions?

Yes I am, whether or not god exists or not is irrelevant to me, it's the fact that he and also his followers are a bunch of violent cunts that affects my belief system, I haven't even gone into the fact that the new testament pretty much advocates child abuse yet and already religious people are having a fit Tongue lol. At this point, sun worship is a more legitimate religion than Christianity or Islam ever will be, it's also far more logical, I kind of like Buddhism as well because it basically revolves around not giving a fuck about things rather than worshipping anything or having lots of rigid rules but there you go, some people are just stupid, even the greek gods made far more sense than the religions of today.

3498  Other / Off-topic / Re: how much you have a strong PC on: September 25, 2014, 08:38:09 AM
lol yeah, it works, but I realistically need something way more powerful because I'm sick of the FPS drops and I want to be able to play games like Star Citizen comfortably, there's nothing more infuriating when you're playing BF4 for example than aiming at somebody and then having the game freeze slightly before starting up again.

The CPU works fine on relatively small games but when it comes to big open world stuff with lots of players it can't take it.

I feel your pain, it's really frustrating having an underpowered computer isn't it? Sad

ATI AMD Radeon HD 6950 MSI Lightning

I know how to upgrade it all properly now, I just need to get the money lol Cheesy
