This pretty much sums it up, Europeans have been raping that continent for centuries.

Obama is finally trying to deserve that Nobel Peace Prize he won...

Don't make me laugh. It's about further weakening Russia. It's also no coincidence that Cuba has more oil than they previously thought.

Quote
Mother nature, it emerged this week, appears to have blessed the island with enough oil reserves to vault it into the ranks of energy powers. The government announced there may be more than 20bn barrels of recoverable oil in offshore fields in Cuba's share of the Gulf of Mexico, more than twice the previous estimate.

If confirmed, it puts Cuba's reserves on par with those of the US and into the world's top 20. Drilling is expected to start next year by Cuba's state oil company Cubapetroleo, or Cupet.

"It would change their whole equation. The government would have more money and no longer be dependent on foreign oil," said Kirby Jones, founder of the Washington-based US-Cuba Trade Association. "It could join the club of oil exporting nations."

You're probably right.

All politics aside, he did a fuckin' great job with that speech, i.e., use of the teleprompter and delivery. No, I'm not a fan, but what a wonderful delivery.

Just saw the speech, the people who wrote deserve a raise.

"Todos somos americanos."

Very well...

That's impressive, thanks for sharing.

I do believe the next big leap in human morality will be the way we understand and treat other sentient beings.

Not that I disagree with you, but judging by how we misunderstand and mistreat each other - often for completely stupid reasons - we still have a long way to go before that next leap.

Indeed we do.

I don't think it's wise to go all-in in any investment, but if you just want to compensate for dollar inflation I think it's a safe investment, although, don't go all-in...

If there's something illegal with your tax returns you should just talk to a lawyer or the proper authorities in your country.

Employers using bitcoin to avoid taxation 'gonna have a bad time', anyway paying in cash is still the best way to avoid taxation...

i think imma start using other wallets like multibit.. that has better security..

If your computer gets compromised, like in the situation you've posted, using a different wallet wont save you.

Quote
We have received an offer for all our Scrypt hardware for the amount of 66.82402 BTC.

We like to issue a vote between our current 3 options:

1. We sell all the hardware for 66.82402 BTC and we issue a one time dividend. This one time dividend will consist of the reinvestment funds and the hardware sale. The total payout will be 201.35592221 BTC (134.53190221 + 66.82402) or 0.00684 BTC per share. After the dividend payout, Scrypt-X will be delisted from Havelock.

2. We sell all the hardware and we convert each Scrypt unit to 6 AMHash3 units. After the unit conversion, Scrypt-X will be delisted from Havelock.

3. We continue Scrypt-X with the current situation. This means, we keep mining with the Scrypt mine of 4 Gh/s and we continue to look out for interesting reinvestment opportunities.

So, I guess this is the end of this fund, let's wait for the results of the poll, but I think many people just wants an exit.

Mining is pretty much dead unless you have direct access to hardware production...
