Please note that I will accept the 10 BTC piecemeal from multiple sources and I will accurately report all that are given. Perhaps Theymos can be convinced to consider this a donation to the forum itself with appropriate rewards for those who give.

There are four hours left. I suggest that you act before I set the forces in motion.

1KiH33LcxuYEFbFPsYz33djvR1Q5MXrWAn

Today, the sports team that I was rooting for lost by a point with 2 seconds left, I burned myself on the stove, and I hit a curb, fell, and tore my hands all to hell. Too bad that was all hours before your curse started. Ironically, since it has started, things have been looking up. Made a ton of $, got some packages I wasn't expecting, and got the female sympathy for the burns/cuts that turned out very well  Grin

Keep up the good curse!
3502  Economy / Services / Re: Curse/Blessing on: September 24, 2012, 02:29:46 AM
Its funny, because some idiot is going to stub their toe tomorrow, then read this thread, and be freaked out thinking they are cursed.

What's funnier, is that idiot is going to be you.

But that's mainly because I just cursed you.  I read the paperback Necronomnomnomicon at B. Dalton 25 years ago so I know what I'm doing.

How much will it cost me to have you remove the curse? I don't think I can stand having two curses at once.

The majority of members on here have already been cursed with eternal idiocy.

I KNOW RIGHT!?!?! Who is stupid enough to distrust, uh, THE GOVERNEMENT? I mean, they are like our protectors, why the hell would they have anything but our best interest at mind? And I think, the one thing thats bad about Bitcoins, is their lack of a well structured banking system like the ones that our countries developed over the course of like, 3000 years.
3505  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful with tatsuchan on: September 23, 2012, 11:29:55 PM
I guess it depends on whether it was contracted work, or spec work.

If it was a "I will hire you to help me do this, and I will pay you this amount" and you don't pay him for his time, even if he couldn't do what you wanted, thats pretty shitty.

If it was a "Hey, I need help with this, I will pay you an amount we will determine when you have finished the work"

and then he contributes over a short period of time because you decide that you no longer need his help, you do owe him for his time, but that is assuming he contributed something to the project.

If I wanted to set up a site, and then someone draws me a picture of a hippo, I'm not giving them anything.

If I wanted a drawing of a hippo, and they draw me a bad picture of a hippo, I may owe them for their time, but you can feel free to drop their services.
3506  Economy / Goods / Re: Two quarter ounce gold coins - 75 BTC on: September 23, 2012, 11:09:00 PM

AHAHA wow would I be salty if I got one of those.

Just imagine how I would be.

Bump + nice looking coins.
3507  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT on: September 23, 2012, 11:05:18 PM
EVERYONE STOP BUYING BFL PRODUCTS!

I have undoubted proof that BFL WILL NOT deliver their ASIC products!

The evidence is all in this thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=110513.0

And if you don't want to check out that thread, I'll put the most important quote from the thread below.

There is now approximately 19 hours until the deadline. I have so far received 0 BTC. I promise you that I am a man of my word and that I will use the strongest curse I know to bring down misfortune upon this forum and its posters. It is unfortunate that newbies will suffer as well but that is simply a matter of bad luck. I can say that the more you post here or are involved with this forum the more you will suffer, although those will low post count will also face hardship.

It is not too late to avert this disaster.

Edit: please note that I am aware of the BFL concerns and will be making special mention of them in my dealings with the agents of darkness. Those of you with pre-orders who wish to see them fulfilled should take note.

Oh god please never leave the forums, you are the first thing that has seriously made me chuckle today. If I pay you, will you take away the curse that makes me laugh hysterically until my sides hurt when I read your post?

But on a serious note, I hired mlawrence to protect us with his 15 years experience, so don't waste your time. Where did you want your 200 BTC sent?
3509  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB 10 BTC ($50) on: September 23, 2012, 01:45:50 AM
Yeah, I was trying to be nice and have you figure it out for yourself, but I don't think beating around the bush will work. There are probably tens of others buying BTC for paypal right now for $12.20 or so per BTC. If you are looking to get Bitcoins, I'd advise going through one of the exchanges. That way, you may end up paying like 5% in fees, but if you are looking to buy with Paypal, especially as a new user, verified or not, you will be paying more than that.

It is very infrequently that bitcoins go for less that "spot" current market value if anything, you are normally going to have to pay a premium to buy Bitcoins with $ that isn't already on an exchange.
3510  Economy / Goods / Re: Looking to buy a FPGA miner. on: September 22, 2012, 11:05:00 PM
If/After Asics start shipping, you will start finding FPGAs very cheap.
3511  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB 10 BTC ($50) on: September 22, 2012, 09:13:18 PM
Idk.  I'm just looking for a good deal and hoping someone could help me out.   Huh

Normally if you are paying with Paypal, you will be paying more than the MTGox price, by a bit, depending on how trusted you are.

3513  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: exchanges requiring photo ID?? on: September 22, 2012, 09:01:14 PM
BTC-E requires no photo ID, and no other info. When you sign up, I think it asks for an email account, but you don't have to verify it. The email is just if you want to set up a feature that requires that you confirm in email that you want to withdraw BTC/LTC/NMC/$.

They are based out of Russia though, so that might be the difference?

Not to rain your your parade, but I doubt you will find 10 BTC for less than $120. More likely around $125.
3516  Economy / Services / Re: I will be your friend for money on: September 22, 2012, 05:10:44 PM
Will you be willing to do sexy services for 5 BTC? And if we are already your friend, now that you are selling your friendy service, does that mean we owe you?
3517  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Butterfly Labs CEO 25 Million USD Mail Fraud — A Concise Summary of Evidence on: September 22, 2012, 03:03:53 PM
I've got to say, I've been an avid BFL fan for a while. I had maybe a 1% doubt that they would end up screwing people over. I spent many long hours arguing with the idiots that claimed that ASICs were going to be a scam. I just figured, yeah, they over promised as always, they will be a bit less efficient then they claim, and they will make up for it somehow, like when they dropped the BFL Single price. At this point after all things considered, I'm actually at a 50/50 over whether or not I would stick up for BFL, or flame against them. I found the best thing to do is wait, and see how it all turns out. I haven't lost total trust in BFL, but I sure as hell will not be ordering until I start seeing working units ship out, and I suggest that people who feeling like yelling at BFL do the same thing. Sure they messed up big time with nondisclosure of quite a bit of majorly important things, but rather than waste their, and your own time, just wait until they are set to come out. If they come out, buy one if you want, if they don't, don't buy one.
3518  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: USPS DOES NOT INSURE BULLION! on: September 22, 2012, 03:38:34 AM
Look Spitoon, insure your bullion with the USPS. Fine with me, and go ahead and call me a liar. Just don't ask me what I think of your Litecoin silver scheme.

I'm not calling you a liar, misinformed and suborn is a better description. And by me, I mean USPS is. I don't feel it necessary to link to USPS terms again.
There's nothing wrong with spreading a little FUD, but misinforming everyone, and then continuing to stand by your misinformation after a reliable source specifically saying that the info is wrong is a bit whack.

And looking into it more, it actually seems as Coinabul said, Fedex doesn't insure Bullion. http://www.fedex.com/us/service-guide/terms/express-ground/

"Prohibited Items

You are prohibited from tendering the following items for shipment, and they will not be accepted:

        Cash and currency.
Live animals, except as provided in the Live Animals and Ornamental Marine Life (Including Live Fish) section. (Edible seafood, such as live lobsters, crabs or other types of fish and shellfish for human consumption, is acceptable, provided the shipper is in compliance with all local, state and federal laws.)
Animal carcasses. (Animal heads and other parts for taxidermy may be accepted but must be properly packaged. This restriction does not apply to properly packaged meat or poultry products intended for human consumption.)
Human corpses, human body parts, human embryos, or cremated or disinterred human remains.
Shipments that require us to obtain a local, state or federal license for their transportation.
Shipments that may cause damage or delay to equipment, personnel or other shipments.
Lottery tickets and gambling devices where prohibited by law.
Hazardous waste, including, but not limited to, used hypodermic needles or syringes, or other medical waste.
Packages that are wet, leaking or emit an odor of any kind.
        Live insects.
Shipments or commodities that are prohibited by applicable local, state or federal law.
        Waste or garbage for disposal.

Notwithstanding any other provision of the FedEx Service Guide, we are not liable for delay of, loss of or damage to a shipment of any prohibited item. The shipper agrees to indemnify FedEx for any and all costs, fees and expenses FedEx incurs as a result of the shipper's violation of any local, state or federal laws or regulations or from tendering any prohibited item for shipment."
3519  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: USPS DOES NOT INSURE BULLION! on: September 22, 2012, 03:06:36 AM
Look, it's all good until a package gets lost. It doesn't happen very often, but it does happen. I've heard this all before on forums dedicated to bullion. The "send it registered mail" thing always comes up. But- if it's lost, they won't pay. I've seen it happen. Because: THE USPS DOESN'T INSURE BULLION. Professional bullion dealers buy insurance plans from insurance companies. Small fries send USPS and cross their fingers. Me, I ship FedEx, and I've never had any problems. I used to ship USPS and nothing ever got lost, but there came a point when I heard too many USPS horror stories. The thing is, one lost package sent via USPS can really eat into your profit margin and/or bottom line.

Anyway, let's not forget that the USPS is The United States Government.
If you don't trust their fiat, how can you trust their post office?  Kiss

I'm confused, I thought we established that USPS does insure bullion? Feel free to use Fedex I guess, you are free to your personal opinion, but saying that USPS doesn't insure Bullion is a lie.

- Direct from the USPS website where they say they do insure Bullion

and I believe your response was

Anyone that walks into their local post office and says "Hey guys, I'm sending a bundle of cash and/or bullion here, did I wrap it OK?" probably doesn't have the highest IQ around, if you get my drift.

 Roll Eyes Cool

As your acknowledgement that they do insure bullion, but you don't think its a good idea.

bove only:

"Hey, I'm shipping 10 Oz of Silver bullion, I need this insured"
"Alright, we will insure that up to $345"
"Thanks"

I don't know, doesn't seem too stupid to me.
