3503  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-24] Coinfire: Video Game Developer Using Blockchain Technology on: September 25, 2014, 06:03:01 AM
Given the recent massive internet drama I'm liking the mainstream games developers less and less precisely because they do have this incredible arrogance about them where they seem to think they can get away with all sorts of bullshit, the best ones I've seen are when they've blatantly fucked up like in games like Mass Effect 3 and rounded up their fanbois and reviewers to go and defend their crappy decisions. I myself will be supporting indie developers who are making games like Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous and I recommend everyone else do the same, let these fuckers go back to consoles since that's clearly where they want to be.

The latest string of pay to win games and the excuses from both the communities and the games developers about them have been pissing me off to no end as well, it is mathematically impossible to be arguing in favour of them if you truly want a balanced game that everyone will be able to play fairly.
3504  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Shocking Breakdown Of McDonalds Budget on: September 24, 2014, 06:07:00 PM
Yep that sounds about right, you have to take into account though if a law is introduced it will be inevitable that small businesses etc. will be dragged into this as well and they'll definitely not be able to afford it as easily, I suspect that's also what they're counting on. The problem is making sure that the people who aren't being assholes and screwing over their own employees aren't brought into it, but the corporations will claim that it's persecution etc. if they're taxed or forced to obey different rules seperately.
3505  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muslim BS on: September 24, 2014, 05:25:28 PM
I am not muslim but this is just completely unfair.

You can pull out religious text from any era and you will see things like this.

I just did that yesterday Wink
3506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 Reasons your Bitcoin startup is losing customers on: September 24, 2014, 02:34:50 PM
Not bad advice, but I agree with other people about the transparency thing, for example, in order for me to transact in dollars or other fiat currency as a business which if it weren't for the crazy rule involved I wouldn't at all mind doing I would have to post my whole life out publicly. I don't mind chatting about it to people I trust or even showing my face but a company like Coinvoice wants an address and the only one I can give which actually relates to me is my home one and that's basically inviting every damn psychopath out there to come and knock on my door.

As a result I'm stubbornly sticking with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies because they're the only currencies that repect my privacy and don't spy on every single transaction I make, it's actually amazing when you investigate your own bank account and see that anybody could easily find out who and where you are or where you've been constantly simply by glancing over a Morrisons checkout transaction and so on.

Thirteen pieces alone fetched more than 10 million euros ($12.8 million) each, compared with four in the previous year.

Now I know why Vincent Van Gogh committed suicide because this is making ME feel suicidal, as somebody who's taking the time to learn to draw in proportion and learn 3D modelling this is pissing me off, I fucking despise contemporary art. Please support artists who actually put in the effort people! >_< at this point a person who draws stick figures has more credibility with me than fucking contemporary artists and they'll appreciate it instead of acting like snobs!
3508  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS drives thousands of Syrians across border to Turkey on: September 24, 2014, 08:48:16 AM
Somethings don't add up. The upward revised number of ISIL forces is 31000. They have no airforce and no air defence. Supposedly fighting them are the American Air Force plus more than 700 ADVISORS, the Iraqi army, the Iraqi militia, the Kurdish Beshmerga, Iranian elite Alqus forces, Hizbullah and the Syrian government forces and still those ragtag gangs are storming more towns in Syria on one side and threatening Baghdad on the other side. Is anybody seriously fighting them? I really doubt that.

It could be that they were taken off guard and are consolidating their forces, but there's also the international implications to consider, the Kurds for example would have a hard time moving in and taking out ISIS, I don't know the exact laws but we know that the Iraqi government will have some kind of agreement in regards to sovereignty with the U.S so pushing deep into government borders would mean pissing off the U.S and could be an act of war and so on, I expect that's what the other armies are having to deal with as well.

You have to take into account that there are a couple of countries and a whole mess of provinces, regions and political influence in this particular part of the world, this isn't all neat and organised like the Ukraine where there are clearly defined areas of conflict and so on, it's a mess.
3509  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christian BS on: September 24, 2014, 08:42:42 AM
So basically what you're saying is that people didn't like what they saw and decided to re-write something their supposed god or prophet put down for them to follow so they change it into something they did like regardless of what was actually written down, some Christians you guys are Wink Oh wait! That kind of reminds me of how you react to science and the American constitution! Randomly making shit up and changing it through threats of violence or subverting the law in order to make it suit your own ignorant belief system!

Isn't it funny as well how this got more of a rise out of people than the Muslim thread, maybe it's because there's a higher number of Christians trolling around on these boards, you'd almost think I did that to piss them off deliberately Tongue
3510  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nexusakachus owes me and others money on: September 24, 2014, 08:13:00 AM
Never thought this thread would stir up such a shit storm, good luck in taking him to task guys ( I just realised I'm going to have to choose my words carefully on this thread and other places in case any of this is submitted to court as evidence ) the amount I risked was pretty minuscule in comparison to the losses I've seen here so he could easily be prosecuted if you can get a court case going, I was messaged by FeedbackLoop about what's going on and given some advice but all I can say is feel free to hunt him down and make sure he ends up paying for what he did.

Exodus 21

These are the ordinances that you shall set before them:

2 When you buy a male Hebrew slave, he shall serve for six years, but in the seventh he shall go out a free person, without debt. 3If he comes in single, he shall go out single; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him. 4If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master’s and he shall go out alone. 5But if the slave declares, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out a free person’, 6then his master shall bring him before God.* He shall be brought to the door or the doorpost; and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him for life.

7 When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do. 8If she does not please her master, who designated her for himself, then he shall let her be redeemed; he shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has dealt unfairly with her. 9If he designates her for his son, he shall deal with her as with a daughter. 10If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish the food, clothing, or marital rights of the first wife.* 11And if he does not do these three things for her, she shall go out without debt, without payment of money.

Those fucking Christians am I right? Tongue

3513  Other / Off-topic / Re: 3D Printing Physical Bitcoins (Silver) on: September 23, 2014, 07:23:17 AM
Before we go into detail on how coins are actually made I think we'd need to see you make a prototype using the 3D printer first to see whether it can actually be done otherwise you'd end up wasting money if you didn't know whether or not the printer worked well in making coins, the reason I say this is because I'm not 100% convinced that a 3D printer is capable of doing such detail on the metal just yet but I'd be happy to be proven wrong on this point.

As for the fairly traditional methods of coinage I actually did quite a bit of research on this and I can show you where to go for the coin dies and the machinery, as it so happens machinery and tool wise everything seems to have re-located overseas so you shouldn't have too much problem finding companies that make hydraulic presses, I also happen to have found a guy that is still in business making coin dies, beware though, the coin die is pretty expensive but this person is a proper professional, make sure you're completely happy with your design before you submit it.

http://www.satishhydraulic.net/frame-type-coining-presses.html - This looks like a pretty old and well established company, I haven't tried contacting them yet but there are quite a few Indian companies out there that making presses some even doing custom orders

http://www.ringstamps.com/coining_die.htm - This guy is located in America and responded to my emails when I asked him about cost and the process of making everything, he said it varied from $300 - $1000 per side, so if you want to have something stamped on the back as well then you'd need to pay twice.

The method I'm thinking of uses a mixture of traditional clay casting to make blanks and then the hydraulic press, I haven't yet tried it though because I'd need to get money together, you also need to bear in mind like me you have no reputation and it looks like it's pretty damn difficult to sell anything here unless you've got positive reputation already so you'd have to look at some kind of cheap product to sell.

Also, here's where I got my idea from, it would be pretty simple to get the right diameter to match the coin press: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6T_ZutXzNQ

I may actually try this method entirely by hand but I'm not 100% sure whether it will work, hydraulic presses seem to be the modern way to go because you need a certain amount of tonnage in order to make sure coins get properly stamped with the die and hydraulic presses mean one person can essentially do the work without too much trouble or effort, not only more efficient but it's supposed to be safer to use the hydraulic press.
3514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Greenpeace now accepting bitcoin donations on: September 23, 2014, 07:07:21 AM
I don't like greenpeace much either, a lot of these 'envirionmentalists' don't really campaign for real environmental issues, they're just lobbyists looking to play governments. If you see one advocating nuclear power chances are they're frauds because the amount of environmental damage those things cause is catastrophic never mind what we've seen happens when something goes wrong. Most of the time they're too busy bitching about some species of whale or some oil spill to care about things like gas infecting the water supply in America and power plants poisoning the air we breathe which I consider much more important issues.

Environmentalists are pussies too afraid to pick up a real fight so they go after issues no one cares about, I admit I actually used to be a bit of an environmentalist myself, but in the end I realised they like a lot of people in mainstream politics were looking to become career politicians rather than actually push for an issue they cared about so it was compromise, compromise, compromise.
3515  Other / Off-topic / Re: 3D Printing Physical Bitcoins (Silver) on: September 23, 2014, 06:20:02 AM
It depends on how much detail you can achieve with the 3D printer, It would certainly be possible, but aren't metal 3D printers still pretty expensive? You'd have to mint several thousand coins before you even broke even and that's without any guarantee that they will sell. I think it would be easier personally to do some cast versions with wax and use coin presses rather than doing it expensively but I dunno, unless you're telling me you can 3D print the metal cheaply I'm not sure it would be worth it.

I've researched this for my own businesses and the usual way of making coins with modern equipment is to get a coin die made and stamp it into a blank using a hydraulic press of some kind that can hold a die, so you'd need to go into more detail of how you actually plan to make these coins before deciding whether it's worth it or not.
3516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - the most fascinating and important thing of our time? on: September 23, 2014, 06:08:08 AM
somebody would have come out with something similar to Bitcoin anyway albeit slightly different in the back end function, we've already had lots of attempts like e-gold etc. etc. to try and create decentralised payment systems but it's the proof of work technology and the Peer to Peer nature of Bitcoin that makes it special, anybody who actually knows about the Bitcoin back end will tell you that.

The fact you need to resort to violence in order to get your point across just shows you up for being an ignorant cunt really, I can see why some people here are called Bitcoin evangelicals.
3517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - the most fascinating and important thing of our time? on: September 23, 2014, 05:52:02 AM
I think Bitcoin is certainly nice, but it is the technology itself not Bitcoin that is going to make the difference, already I'm seeing much more interesting ( Sorry Bitcoin devs Tongue ) projects coming out like Open Bazaar and Storj, but admittedly if Bitcoin hadn't come along these projects wouldn't have been possible or at least quite difficult to implement without the knowledge that was already given out freely.
3518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: VIDEO: OpenBazaar Beta 1.0 on: September 22, 2014, 02:58:29 PM
Fuck yeah! Too bad I have to wait for the windows version but you guys will definitely see my Jewellery up on there when I can install Open Bazaar.

I'm sure there will be a windows version eventually, but you should really use linux it's great. Don't have to worry about viruses and its free!

lol I only have one computer and so on, it's going to be in a month anyway so I'll just wait Cheesy looks great so far though.

Typical japs. All that mouth and little to back it up with.

Typical Honeypot. All that mouth and little to back it up with.

What's the problem - got pricked enough to pop out and start bitching? Cheesy

Begone to the ignore list. Haven't seen any constructive comments from you, only badmouthing, so I don't expect to see anything good either...

It's amazing how many people rise to this guy and don't realise what a moron he is just from looking at the post history lol Tongue
3520  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-20] 24 Signs You’re Obsessed with Bitcoin on: September 22, 2014, 01:56:24 PM
The only ones I haven't done are the twitter one because I hate twitter, I did actually write to my Jewellery supplier about Bitcoin though through their survey and I also haven't asked an employer for Bitcoin because I don't have one as I'm building my own business, I also haven't gone to a conference yet.

Aside from that I've done pretty much everything on that list Sad lol
