3501  Economy / Speculation / Re: BULL RUN STARTING ON BITCOIN? End of Bear Market? on: April 15, 2018, 03:15:25 PM
it is impossible to tell we may rise, or fall!
but from the evidence we can say one thing for sure: bears are getting screwed these days and they are getting desperate. in the past hour i saw at least 10 different known bears saying the same things such as "drop is coming". Grin
3502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Definition for bitcoin fans and bitcoin hater on: April 15, 2018, 01:36:57 PM
in my experience bitcoin haters do NOT exist!

this may sound strange to you but if you check out history of WHEN those people said what they said and WHY you will realize that it is not a coincidence that whenever we are in a bear market or we have a correction or any type of drop in general these so called "haters" are most active.
why do you think it is, other than them wanting bitcoin price to drop more so that they can buy more of it!!!
and we actually have proof of some of them buying bitcoin in these dips! so it is not just a conspiracy theory. Wink
3503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you want to increase the price of Bitcoin then promote it everywhere around u on: April 15, 2018, 01:29:54 PM
As the title says that if you want to increase the price of bitcoin then promote it everywhere around you.

this can be a good or a terrible advice depending on how people are going to go about doing it. there is basically two ways people always promote bitcoin.
1. the bad way
which is basically the popular method these days where newbies think they can get rich with bitcoin (or at least hope to) and because of it they start advertising it as something that will make you rich. they don't even know what bitcoin is they just know there is something out there called bitcoin which you can make a lot of profit from if you buy it.
this will not only not increase the price but also will cause crashes like what we saw in the past 4 months because newbies like this are weak hands who will only panic sell and are only involved with bitcoin for a short while.

2. the right way
if you want to promote bitcoin then promote "bitcoin" not fiat. bitcoin is NOT an investment, bitcoin is a decentralized currency that you can use. first educate yourself about bitcoin, what it is, how it works, what is the difference between bitcoin and fiat and why should you even use bitcoin currency,... then start giving that knowledge to others also.
this way you won't get speculators or newbie weak hands involved with bitcoin, you will only get people who find bitcoin interesting enough to use it and not just make money from it like a cash cow.
eventually we can see bitcoin really grow (as in merchant adoption) instead of just having just a volatile price where speculators make money. and price will shoot up a lot better this way.
3504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network. Will it happen for real? on: April 15, 2018, 01:03:57 PM
A few months ago, when bitcoin transaction costs had reached almost 50 dollars per TX, there was a lot of buzz about LN just around the corner. Now that the price of bitcoin as well as costs associated with the transfer of coins fell dramatically, no one seems to be talking about LN any more. I don't question its technical feasibility, it is definitely possible. I'm more interested whether anyone will be using it given today's conditions apart from a few die-hard enthusiasts. Exactly one year ago LN had been activated in litecoin, but no one is using this technology for real with this coin.

So, where are we now with LN in bitcoin? Has it been abandoned and forgotten?

your comment proves that your source is social media, and you are correct the "hype" about Lightning Network on social media like bitcointalk and reddit has died because the fees have come down. (by the way this has nothing to do with litecoin! not that many were using LTC itself before LN)

but that is only hype and people talking about it and talk has always been wind, nobody cares about it. the reality is that Lightning Network development is still ongoing as strong as before. the network is also growing but not as fast as early days or first week for instance but it is still growing nonetheless.

if you are really interested in it then here is a bunch of links (wallets, services) you can follow: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3315816.0

here is some active Github projects you can follow:
https://github.com/lightningnetwork/lnd
https://github.com/ElementsProject/lightning

here is an explorer:

and there is always google to find even more.
3505  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Stop losses - bitter sweet relationship on: April 14, 2018, 03:38:34 PM
the problem lies with the market not the tool.
altcoins are extremely volatile and being manipulated pump and dumps makes things even worse. it is sometimes nearly impossible to set a stop loss for an altcoin since you may see a huge dump in matter of seconds before they pump the coin to the moon.

there unfortunately is no solution of it either. i find that for altcoins a combination of automation + you watching everything yourself is the best solution for it. also i try to not stick around in altcoins that much to get caught with my pants down Wink
3506  Economy / Speculation / Re: Adaption vs technology on: April 14, 2018, 03:23:52 PM
it doesn't matter how many times the same words are being repeated by how many new accounts, it can be repeated infinite times and it won't change anything. ...words are winds... at the end of the day bitcoin is still far far ahead of any other shitcoin and it will remain there until they stop being shitcoins.

and let me answer you once and for all, if they were REALLY better they would have already replaced bitcoin!
3507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Self-Acclaimed Bitcoin Creator Craig Wright Accused of Plagiarism on: April 14, 2018, 03:07:39 PM
when someone is a scumbag and so easily commits fraud (identity fraud in this case) they don't just stop there, you can be sure their life is filled with dirt. we have seen his money frauds that i believe Canadian police is still investigating and lots of other crimes and scams in his dirty past and he won't just stop there either. expect a lot more scams out of this person in the future until he is locked away behind bars.
3508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Paying Your Crypto Taxes? A Recent Study Suggests Otherwise on: April 14, 2018, 03:01:59 PM
well that is only in US!
where i live there are to taxes on cryptocurrency trading and i am doing all my trades in a decentralized face to face way or i am only trading altcoins with my bitcoin which is keeping my privacy so i don't have to pay any taxes to begin with!
3509  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do people look at the dollar value of a coin instead of the Satoshi value? on: April 13, 2018, 03:53:04 PM
it is mainly used to mislead!

for example during the rise of bitcoin from $6800 to $8100 (the first hour) altcoins were getting dumped because people were pulling out their bitcoins from them but the dump was not as fast as the bitcoin rise. so if you looked at prices of altcoins in BTC you could see the drop but if you looked at them in USD you could see a rise which is the misleading part.
3510  Economy / Economics / Re: Only a mature and regulated crypto market will attract big investors. on: April 13, 2018, 03:41:43 PM
https://cointelegraph.com/news/2018-mature-crypto-market-will-draw-more-investment-see-less-volatility-analyst-says

Obviously as an investor you understand there are risks but out of all the exchanges out there, i can think of 2-3 that I would personally trust with my money and in my case we are only talking about thousands, imagine a big player with millions using etherdelta or some other retarded exchange, no way that will ever happen. Even big exchanges like bittrex, not long ago, they fucked up and made everyone wait months and months to get your account enabled or verified. Why would any big player invest in crypto when the risk is so huge, there is literally zero safety, any exchange can run away with your money and you can barely do anything.

first of all bittrex never fucked up anything. they simply scammed a lot of their users, closed their accounts and stole their funds.

secondly this topic is the difference between an investor and a trader. a trader is someone who uses exchanges and needs to trust them, for them the "market" has to be regulated so that they can trust it easier and invest their money.
an investor however is someone who simply buys. for example someone who has been buying (accumulating) bitcoin for years without even using any exchanges! you can always meat face to face with someone and do the trade and it is pretty common to do it this way actually. for them "market" being regulated or not doesn't matter they just need to trust and believe in the technology.
3511  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tim Draper - Bitcoin Price Will Hit 250 000$ In 2022! on: April 13, 2018, 12:46:03 PM
not to undermine Tim but it is always a safe speculation to say bitcoin is going to rise ridiculously big in long term (3 years for example) and many others, even simple members have been doing that! Cheesy

what i think is that we will see a huge rise in 2020 because there are a couple of things that are happening by then. biggest one is the halving. and also the Olympics 2020 in Tokyo Japan which is turning into the heart of bitcoin merchant adoption of the world. the sheer publicity is going to increase the adoption 100 folds.
3512  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin back to 8k$!! Is this recovery or a trap? on: April 13, 2018, 12:37:06 PM
if we saw any signs of dropping back down after the big rise then it could have meant a bull trap and a temporary rise but as you can see what happened in the past nearly 2 days was that price went up fast to above $8000 then the panic sell/correction began where price came down to $7700 ish and then from there it started rising back up again and it is currently at $8150.

this trend is only showing rise with a lot of money coming in. it may not be a 100% foolproof rise but it is 90% sure at least!
3513  Economy / Speculation / Re: New pump? on: April 13, 2018, 12:11:48 PM
sorry to disappoint you but you came to the wrong board. pumps only happen in altcoins (aka shitcoins) that can simply be manipulated by one person or a small pump group with some newbie idiots following them.
and because of that you can't expect $20k (194%) just because there was a 14% rise.
3514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price gained $1,000 in less than an hour, Experts revealed the reason be on: April 13, 2018, 12:02:31 PM
Bitcoin experiences the biggest 1 hr volume in BTC history
whoever made this claim has never looked at bitcoin history ever!
this volume was not even close to the biggest volume in the history of bitcoin.

Quote
Not just bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies including Ethereum, Ripple, Dash, and Litecoin also gained in double digits. Coming onto what caused this rise, experts believe there are several factors driving this rally.
for altcoins the only reason is following bitcoin, nothing more!

Quote
After hitting its all-time high at $20,000 in December, last year, bitcoin has been continuously sliding. Having said that, the sudden price rise of more than $1,000 in less than 24 hours has been unprecedented.
this wasn't a big deal though. this $1000 was simply a 14% rise. again if the author had seen history of bitcoin he wouldn't have thought of it as a big  deal. which makes me believe this so called "analyst" is just another internet troll.

Quote
Experts believe the surge has been the result of institutional investors with huge funds in their pockets. According to a senior market analyst, Mati Greenspan, this is what has happened and will continue to happen.
institutional investors have been investing in bitcoin with huge funds in their pockets for a long time now. it is not something new. so no this rise had nothing to do with them.
3515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price increases 1000$ in 10 minutes - why? on: April 12, 2018, 03:48:35 PM
coordinated pump

Coordinated pump by who exactly? This sounds to me more like a conspiracy theory.
Anyway, I'm not so surprised because by now we have seen a lot of times that bitcoin price can change very quickly in both ways and the real reason is hard to determine.
But don't forget that it can so easily and so fast fall again under 7000$. So use this to make the quick profit.

people usually tend to overestimate the power of market makers or whales,... they usually want to blame someone for anything they can not speculate so they make a boogeyman who is doing all the evil.
not saying manipulations don't exist but saying they are not as big a part of bitcoin price movement that people tend to believe!

you guys tell me that all the sudden everybody started buying with no apparent reason? sounds like a fairy tale to me.

until you guys come with a better explanation I'll stick with mine
imagine you have X dollars you want to invest in bitcoin. you look at the charts and you see a triangle which is not pointing to either rise or fall and look at price that is stable and not moving either up or down. your analysis tells you it is not clear which way bitcoin is going to go so you don't invest and wait instead.

also you check the media you see it is filled with a lot of negativity and FUD constantly attacking bitcoin and experience says price can not rise during times like this.

now price moves ahead and starts rising above that upper triangle line and signals a rise, you will see a surge in volume and price. as a trader it is all you need to know to dump that X dollars in bitcoin. and that is what you do.

there are lots of people like you so multiply that X by their number and you get yourself a big ass rise with a huge volume. if you want to call it a "coordinated pump" then be my guest but you are using wrong words to describe it.
3516  Economy / Economics / Re: market refresh or just a pump ? on: April 12, 2018, 03:01:04 PM
just be careful about altcoins they are misleadingly rising because bitcoin price went up and it seemed like a good FOMO situation to the newbies in the market. most of them will come down very hard very soon and the rest may not last long up there on their higher prices since there are a lot of bag holders waiting for an opportunity to dump.
3517  Economy / Economics / Re: Is CryptoLark YouTuber an honest person? on: April 12, 2018, 02:31:24 PM
nobody goes on Youtube, Medium, Twitter, Facebook, Telegram,... and create contents regarding investment in cryptocurrencies (including ICO tokens) to help others. they do it to make money themselves which is usually with pump and dumps in mind after they have bought something themselves.
3518  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Happen Bitcoin OMG 8100$ ?? on: April 12, 2018, 02:00:58 PM
So someone really put a lot of money in the market. I guess some big entities (Soros or Rockefeller?) has finally decided to enter the ecosystem.
i disagree. these big "entities" will never exactly put any money in the market. they do it off the market or if they are forced to use exchanges (which sounds a lot weirder than you may think) they do it in a way that nobody even notices their presence.

But we shouldn't be celebrating because of this sudden U-turn as we all know that the trend is really daily traders taking profits whenever they got the chances.
what we shouldn't do is we shouldn't expect moon yet. but we should celebrate because it proves all the things we have been saying about bitcoin and the huge demand that it still has despite what the charts looked like so recently.
3519  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seems like dump is coming soon.. on: April 12, 2018, 01:32:44 PM
Price actually broke the other trend line too. The high is 8000 and the trend line at 7900.

this proves my theory that Technical Analysis does NOT work for bitcoin and you should never use it, specially if you are going to call things like what you did here and said "dump is coming soon"!!!

TA is good as some sort of guideline of a possibility with a low chance of happening but nothing more.
3520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bears take cover, the Bulls are back. on: April 12, 2018, 01:22:09 PM
at times like this bitcoin has always acted as a "Spring".
when you put a lot of pressure on a spring and compress it you are begging for it to jump out of your hand and as you pull off that pressure the spring does what it is supposed to do: releases all that energy and jumps up.

when they keep on dumping bitcoin to keep the price low and spread lots and lots of FUD to create fear in newbies to sell and stay away and not buy back, that is like that pressure. when it is released and the accumulation ends, the price shoots up.
