3501  Economy / Economics / Re: China says rejecting physical cash is illegal amid e-payments popularity on: December 17, 2018, 08:01:22 PM
Personally I agree, on this forum a lot of guys are excited with digital money, especially with bitcoin as another form of it. This doesn't mean it's good to fully move it and I think there are reasons. Imagine when we are fully depend on electro money, banks can easily close our accounts and leave us without money or whole world. On cash, that's not possible because we have cash in our pocket and our payment don't depend on 3rd party services, we do it directly in real life. On another hand if we want, in one year we will be fully moved on electro money but that doesn't worth, better if we leave everything like it is as for now with cash.
3502  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today is 1 year since Bitcoin price reach its ATH (~$20,000) on: December 17, 2018, 07:09:16 PM
The CEO of Circle, Jeremy Allaire said that Bitcoin and Ethereum dropped because they were heavily oversold but despite that they have a very bright future.

Check out this video by CNBC:
https://coincodex.tv/videos/522/the-circle-co-founder-jeremy-allaire-expects-crypto-valuations-to-increased-have-a-bright-future/
To be fair I don't give a shit what famous people say on crypto because usually they say it's scam, manipulated or someone comes and somehow says goods, without amy facts and arguments, it's annoying for me.

One year ago we were having more than enough investors trooping in to simply get a bite out of the cake, but right now only the genuine ones who believe in the tech would remain

And that's exactly what makes the system unpredictable,as we do not know what can happen next as regards whether or when we'll be seeing an all time high anytime soon
That's not so easy to stay with crypto, there is no guaranteed reason that bitcoin will reach or surpass it's all time high, also when investor looks situation, it's 100x hard to decide whether hold coins or not because you don't know how situation will go and this withdraw may be your only escape from huge loss or even opposite can happen.
3503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A cryptocurrency entirely dedicated to GAMBLING? on: December 16, 2018, 09:01:40 PM
Oh can't remember name but there was gambling website specially made for one specific coin. Also burstcoin was added on bitsler because of high demand from people for gambling. But there isn't any specific coin for only gambling because there is no demand for it and I highly doubt anyone would invest much if there would be ICO of similar coin. Oh, there is also bitdice (it's btc casino) coin but don't know much about it, check yourself.
3504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BTC is not adapted into business?? on: December 13, 2018, 11:39:19 PM
Why do say that? What is you basis that some of businesses was not adopting bitcoin? Because as I know and as I read their are so many businesses was using bitcoin as a primary payment so that how do you say that bitcoin not adopted by business. I read some of restaurant in Korea was using bitcoin as paying including here in my country even our banks accepting or embracing  also bitcoin.
Please attach examples too when you talk about it. Bitcoin isn't accepted by many companies/services and that's clear to my mind but the fact that you say it's primary payment method is very wrong. You rarely see only bitcoin based services and in most cases if you see btc as a payment option, it's always after others as an alternative.
Fiverr had it like steam and removed, curious, why? Will we see it back?
3505  Economy / Economics / Re: The world that all money have become crypto currencies issued by government on: December 13, 2018, 10:17:56 PM
It has no idea if any govrnment create crypto currency, if we simply want electro money, then we have here visa/master card, online banking, paypal and so on. We have everything to manage our moneu. The main idea kf crypto is anonimity and decentralisation, it's far from every government because all they want is control on people. Imagine thief gives you gifts to steal much from you in future, it's similar situation.
3506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining with GTX 1060 3GB cards? No longer possible? DAG/OS issues on: December 13, 2018, 09:39:06 PM
According to the dag size Calculator, https://investoon.com/tools/dag_size, ETH 3GB dag wont be reached till April. Windows 10 was earlier this year due to a change by Windows in how it handles Vram to use to windows. I'm still mining and not having DAG issues with my 1060 3GBs.
Yeah but I think people have to consider that they don't have to spread their mining plan on last seconds when DAG size will reach 3gb or gpu's limit. If anyone bought them last year for profit, that's a big fault. I would buy 4gb and higher, my personal favourite is gtx 1070/ti, gtx1080/ti. They will be very useful for long term and you won't worry on DAG file size nor on ethereum's price because there are wide choices on this GPU unlike of AMD.
3507  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fortune Jack Bug Bounty on: December 13, 2018, 09:13:23 PM
Usually games are well testes before they are added on casino's website but that's nothing, it's good you offer this bug bounty but is it possible to play those games with FJ play money? If yes, then will users who play with FJ play money be awarded if they found bug?
Would love to get answer on this question because I can't find it on your ANN thread, nor on reddit.
3508  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to avoid disappointments when investing in BTC. on: December 13, 2018, 08:20:45 PM
It's hard to determine best time to buy bitcoin, especially when you are new. From my view, I think scenario always shows you best time. Lately price was stable between 6-7K usd, then it felt to 4K, now we have 3K. I think this 3K is a new limit (under this price won't fall or at least won't be under 2K again) and bitcoin won't fall much, it will simply destroy coin and I highly believe it won't happen.
3509  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: HTC announced blockchain smartphone, the Exodus 1 on: December 13, 2018, 05:46:38 PM
For years there was rumors that samsung was going to produce smartphone which would support bitcoin and crypto in idea, then there was rumor that they would create phone which would be ok for mining... Is any of these released? None, seems HTC did a first step in it and introduced smartphone which supports crypto and blockchain technologies. Personally I have no idea what BC has to do with smartphone, would be good if anyone explains...
Btw here is link of this news: https://www.ccn.com/htc-exodus-1-blockchain-smartphone-will-ship-with-brave-browser/
3510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A proven way to make money from gambling - what's your opinion about this? on: December 13, 2018, 05:12:55 PM
I have heared many times that horse racing somehow unique from others and more profitable, personally I have no experience in it.
It's good you shared your idea OP, don't get critics wrong but I think too that horse racing is risky and doesn't worth, imagine you have to risk 6K to get just 30$, easy but very risky, it's even rough on 0.1% risk possibility.
For further note, there is not proven way nor will be.
3511  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto debit card for FIAT payments - would you use one? on: December 13, 2018, 04:31:00 PM
Bittrex, bitstamp, bitfinex and etc, they aren't in top but are well known for people so being in top 10 or in top 50 doesn't matter if you'll offer so good service. What you described is similar of Xapo. Also you know bitcoin ATMs charge so high fees... If we will be available to withdraw from every atm worldwide with very low fees like 1% or fixed 2.5 euro or 10$ monthly, something like this, will be amazing.
3512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you move your FIAT money around? on: December 13, 2018, 01:16:23 PM
USA plays an important role in world economy, there are a lof of countries which have local currency but their economy still highly depends on local/usd exchange rate. USD rise affected a lot of countries... Well it's mostly worldwide usable currency and that's all, it's why we usually look prices in usd in bitcoin and altcoin. That's why others trade in usd, european countries where euro is used, traditionally follow it over usd.
3513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get people to use your Cryptocurrency on: December 13, 2018, 11:13:22 AM
Somehow your ANN thread has so few replies, that's a pity. Signature campaigns seems a good way to my mind and one example of this can be Qtum. Currently they are 29th on coinmarketcap, they ran a massive signature campaign (bitcoin based) for four weeks as I remember.
It's really hard to suggest ideas because especially nowdays, marketing requires a lot of money...
Btw project is good.
3514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Christmas gifts this year, all my money in Bitcoin on: December 12, 2018, 11:54:53 PM
Oh that's so hard truth for some people but who knows what will happen in even near future? If bitcoin felt so suddenly, it can rise so as well. At least it's a great time to buy bitcoin and get summer double gift if luckily possible.

franky1
Wish of 10x profit seems a little bit weird if we consider it in old price between 6-7K but now I think it's pretty possible in two year. Btw yeah, coin changes daily by 1 and more percent but if I profit that's because you lose, there is this situation too.
3515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the market will continue to fall on: December 12, 2018, 08:33:41 PM
1st off these are not coins, why are they called "coins" when they clearly are not? This is the first part off the scam.... #2 why does the bitcoin logo look like a gold coin? Crypto is Digital Fiat and like all fiat all cryptos backed by nothing will eventually reach Zero. In bitcoins case it will reachh virtually zero because it will become a collectors item in the future due to being one of the biggest bubbles in history. Traders are gonna gonna rekt thhese coins have no value and time will show you
They way you think is not correct, with that logic once internet is gone, there is no bitcoin or any altcoin and the main idea of informational technologies (like how quickly information is spreaded worldwide via fb and other websites) will destroy. But in reality the chance of it is almost zero. And also with that logic, gold is backed by what? Nothing but current economy still exists...
3516  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which is easier 1-2% a day or 20-30% per month on: December 10, 2018, 07:45:23 PM
I have no idea how you divided trading stratrgy into this two way because that's very unpredictable you'll achieve any of that.
1-2% day? Yeah everyday we have that change but imagine you started it when price was 6K? Well you made 1-2% daily at best but then after one week price started to fall, you are in lose, now daily trading doesn't work and you have to hold or do other thing.
20-30% month? How? If price didn't change the way you want then? Imagine it's pretty stable between 6K and 7K. You can't plan profit strategy in bitcoin because of it's very changeable and unpredictable price.
3517  Economy / Economics / Re: Who thinks that current situation has to do something with mining? on: December 10, 2018, 08:36:07 AM
As you see guys, price falls and falls, that's very bad we all know and it's not something we want but it keeps falling.
This fall was also sudden and somehow very suprising not only for me but maybe for you too.
Do any of you think that it has something common with mining? As you see a lot of miners just gave up and left bitcoin mining, not only this...
Imagine following: There are giant miners like bitmain, bitfury and so on... What about if they want to create monopoly? Once for example 20% of miners will leave mining, they'll fill this 20% and more by new and improved equipment which they won't release for a while and make it almost nonsense for others to start mining with currently publicly available miners.
P.S Don't call me crazy...

the major hardware producers and mining operations (often one and the same) have too much invested in bitcoin's mid/long term health to risk crashing the market. that would be an incredibly risky approach to squeezing out their competition. it would be a safer bet to invest into out-scaling the competition, or even to sell hardware unnecessarily low to undercut competitors' prices.

plus, the difficulty adjustments will just make it cheaper to mine again. hash rate has dropped 30% (and rising) to meet the 40% price drop. that's another reason why this theory doesn't work.
Man yeah, that's very risky but also at the same time more risk = more reward, for some it worths. Well, what I mean is following: Yeah, difficulty drops but imagien big miners invented upgraded miners and filled current difficulty loss by massively turning their new miners into mining but left less effective miners for people. As you know bitmain was mining altcoins for a long time before they would release miners, I mean same situation.
3518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC and the Alts be easier to manipulate now on: December 09, 2018, 11:54:30 PM
Btw now I was thinking what will happen if coinmarketcup suddenly removed any top exchanger or for example any of them suddenly stopped withdraw option or stopped registration of new accounts, once all of these was done in different time. Or imagine any damagable text from somehow reputable persons or governments, would be interesting scenario, what will happen to bitcoin...
3519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Holding BTC at this satge is a bad idea? on: December 09, 2018, 01:12:09 PM
If holding bitcoin at this stage is bad, then when was it good? When it was 20K usd? C'mon man, in times when no one likes price, we can automatically say that it's great time to hold, at least in past it was always like that. Also price rise is what almost everyone wants in near future. Personally I wouldn't sell bitcoin at this time, have hope that it will rise, act the way you can imagine future.
3520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The key reason for gambling on: December 09, 2018, 12:23:52 PM
I realize this question was probably raised before, but I believe that the answers might be changing with time, because bitcointalk community grows and because the interests and needs of people can become different in years. I recall a video on addiction that explained that people mainly become addicted because of feeling sad and lonely. When I made a thread about whether gamblers think that gambling addiction has the same reason, the answers differed a lot. Now I am curious what kind of people are gambling here. Are they mainly looking for money, excitement, socialization? Please vote and leave a comment below in case you want to add something to your answer.
I don't know if you seriously ask this but there is no key reason to do this or that. You do what you need, always, you do because you get pleasure from it or expect to get it. From casinos, you'll hear one reason: Have Fun. But it's the least reason people gamble, usually they are looking for easy money. Imagine you have 100$, one roll and you have 200, this happened in one second, pretty easy money yeah? Some people in poor countries have to work for one month to get that wage, you did it in second but you can also lose it so quickly even on first attempt. But since therevis possibility of win, it attracts people, it's their main inspiration. On another hand some people socialize as you say, for example communicating in chat, some people feel well when they tip others and they chat: thanks, you are amazing and etc.
