3501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 12, 2020, 08:17:32 AM
I am pretty sure that nothing will happen to Wojnarowski, ESPN is not crazy enough to sack him or something like that. On the contrary, they maybe even secretly liked that, as it will bring them more attention. You know how they say, there is no such thing as  bad publicity.
I hope so.
Woj had been one of the great sources of information when it comes to sports. (NBA especially for me)
I think he just forgot he has a reputation to maintain since he is l like a star in the field of sports analysts and reporters.  Grin
Best wishes that all of this will be cleared.

What's more interesting about those approved social justice messages on jerseys is that LeBron won't use them at all. And everyone thought that he was behind all those approved messages, but seems like he is not a big fan of those.
Lakers' LeBron James Will Wear Last Name on Jersey, Not Social Justice Message

I think it is not intended for a bad reason.
He is playing basketball on a basketball floor using the same rules and methods.
While on the other hand, he could still support the Black movement in a different way.
3502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 12, 2020, 05:50:10 AM
I didn't know that there are social issues that the jerseys of NBA players are currently facing. It's hot on the news and I've just read the article about it. And it's hotter since there's a senator that wrote a letter to NBA Comm. Adam Silver.

There is more to it.
We just lose one of the best reporter in ESPN for NBA.
https://sports.yahoo.com/esp-ns-adrian-wojnarowski-apologizes-for-sending-profane-email-to-missouri-senator-184117968.html
He did something wrong. I don't know what happened to him. Is he drunk or something?
It's difficult when you are one of the popular guys and says something a normal person would only do.
I can say the same but it won't mean anything. But if you are Woj then its a big deal.

It's profit against principles.
Patriotism against money.
Houston Rockets will take a big hit in this collision.
3503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots are better than Dice. on: July 11, 2020, 03:31:27 PM
As for me, slots and dice are the same in level of excitement. It all depends on where my feet carry me - either to a table with bones, or to machines with slots.
Well said.

The game of your likes depend to what's your take on them. If slots are giving you the best experience and excitement then it's got to be dice. On the other hand, if dice gives you equal as slots give to you then vice versa.

Yeah, we have different personal appeal when it comes to games.
Some like it fast and simple while other like it with something to think about.

Poker is actually my game and not slots.
If I ever want to just rest for a bit I will prefer dice rather than slots.
I don't want it taking too long for the results to pop out. Just there to ease my mind without thinking about something while still having the chance to win more.  Grin
3504  Economy / Speculation / Re: Miner's Strike! on: July 11, 2020, 01:53:35 PM
I have to admit that I am disappointed to see that some people are thinking in the completely wrong direction, and do not have the ability to look at Bitcoin in a much broader context than itself.

I think there is a misunderstanding here.
Perhaps my approach is somehow wrong due to a lack of how it had been expressed in English.
I am sorry for that, but I am trying.

The point is not really about the pricing. I don't really care much about it since I believe in the future of bitcoin.

It's about the strength of the miners to change the wave.
I know back then, they could buy more bitcoins while still mining to enhance their profit before they sell in full blast.
Manipulation for their electric bills and some profit which I don't think as a bad thing since they are in business.

For others:
It's not veteran miners.
Most veterans traders will see this as an abnormal event of bitcoin price.  Grin
3505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 11, 2020, 09:00:10 AM
Knicks have their reasons. They say they want to build something new.
Which is why they didn't offer anything to Kyrie and KD. They just reported they did to avoid mass hatred.  Grin
Good old Knicks, always "building" something and planning,  but never delivering. At least not for the last 50 years or so.Cheesy. But their  management obviously doesn't care, Knicks are money making machine whether they win or loose.

Yeah and now Lillard shouted out in social media he wanted to play in either Lakers or Knicks.
They may have a new plan now to add this young sharpshooter with the rest of whatever they are building out there.  Grin

I may have to disagree with the power rankings made by cbssports.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-rookie-power-rankings-where-first-year-players-stand-heading-into-the-orlando-restart/
1. Zion
2. Ja Morant
3. Nunn
4. Hachimura
5. Herro
6. Clarke

They are basing on stats but not for the whole season.
Below Ja Morant description you could read this.
Quote
If it weren't for Williamson coming in and snatching the spotlight for 19 games, Morant would be the unquestioned Rookie of the Year
WHAT!!??
3506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 11, 2020, 06:12:57 AM
Oops.. my bad, I misread the news, I was thinking it was Bulls which he will be coaching.
I'm sorry, got confused with the NY Knicks and Bulls which are both shitty teams this season, excuse my language.  Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

LOL!  Grin

I am sure this is also arranged food, so if you are in hotel and do not like the food you get, you can always order room service and pay as well. I do not see it as big of a problem as it is made out to be. You really think they can't just call room service and order a big cheeseburger with fries on the side? Of course they can.
Good point! You pay if you want something different.
But still, that food which was arranged is already a good one. They are just being sensitive.  Grin

Dallas Mavericks already practicing their hoops in Orlando.

3507  Economy / Speculation / Re: Miner's Strike! on: July 10, 2020, 04:06:32 PM
So you think we need to jump down to $3800? Do you have a reason to think a drop was imminant?

On the contrary, I think the miners are having good thoughts about what will happen next.
They are not selling, so a larger chance of a pump could happen.

So you think we need to jump down to $3800?

My impression was that he is amazed we're not back to 15k or even higher.

I don't. I am just intrigued with how it is happening now. It's just way different with what it used to be.
I am not a fan of the jumping price like the 20k mark.
3508  Economy / Speculation / Miner's Strike! on: July 10, 2020, 03:48:15 PM
After the halving, May 2020 we didn't see much movement on the bitcoin price.
It just moves at the range of $9,000 - $9800.
Most veterans traders will see this as an abnormal event of bitcoin price.  Grin
It should be jumping with thousands of dollars just like what happened in March 2020 @$4800 then back to almost 9k.
It had been 2 months post halving.

Are the miners on strike to sell their coins?
Is this ($9200+) price of bitcoin not enough to secure all the bills that needs to be paid and some profit?
Are they keeping rewards pre-halving waiting for demand to take effect?
They cannot buy more bitcoin to increase the price due to pandemic? (Saving it for self necessities)

I don't have proof. I am just speculating here.  Grin
What do you think?
3509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 10, 2020, 01:34:26 PM
So he will be back to Chicago Bulls..(hopefully he'll be choosen)

This is a great news for the Bulls fans, AFAIR Tom Thibodeau has done a great job with the Bulls back then, so maybe he can fix the  Bulls to be back to become a playoff contender team. I remember the old days, the Derrick Rose era in Bulls and Tom was the head coach that time.

No, it will be his former team.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/tom-thibodeau-formally-interviews-with-knicks-remains-favorite-for-their-coaching-job-per-report/
New York Knicks.
He had been an assistant coach back then and now he has a high chance to take the coach position.

See these regrets: https://thespun.com/nba/los-angeles-lakers/lebron-james-brutally-honest-bubble

Really Bron? Are you comparing Orlando bubble to prison? These guys have a whole staff of people who care about their social media, and still post such texts... This should not happen, if only by respect for the work of hundreds of people who care about their health and comfort.
Maybe they will prefer to cut all their salaries instead of playing hoops.  Grin
They have to be considerate of whatever they will be offered by the accommodation.
Companies making food and farms are also affected by the pandemic. It's not just the NBA.
3510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know what you getting into on: July 10, 2020, 11:25:30 AM
If you also have a good instinct on when to sell those coins then you will remarkably profit a lot.
But that happens only if you did well from the start.

Yeah, one example is the Ethereum project.
I saw how cheap it was before but ignored it. I thought it will just be another coin which will be a dust forever.
I bought it at a higher price already. Got lucky selling at $1000+.
It will be difficult to go back at those times.
3511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 10, 2020, 07:40:29 AM
Who do you think should coach the NY Knicks for the team to improve, Jason Kidd  or Tom Thibodeau?

article :

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/258735/Jason-Kidd-Considered-Most-Serious-Threat-To-Tom-Thibodeau-Getting-Knicks-Head-Coaching-Job

I'll vote for Tom.
I am a Jason Kidd fan but in terms of coaching, Tom Thibodeau is far superior.
The lack of a good roster is the only problem in why he cannot uplift a team.

But, here is also a simple explanation of why he should be chosen.

Table updated. We are still facing a dip and I don't see signs of a short term growth. I think it will require a month to recover our losses or a whale losing a couple of BTC while betting  Undecided
I may try your LTC technique if this red mark will keep on going in weeks to come.
For now, I am trying to monitor how much are LTC bettors.
That technique is useful to save your investment in that moment if you are lucky but when you invest again no one will know if the same dip will occur again or not Undecided

Yeah, I will take that risk for as long as there is no Dilution fee yet.
The downside is having a long list of investment numbers.  Grin
Maybe just getting back what I had lost from my BTC investment and gambling will be enough.

How about in Doge? Have you tried doing the same thing?

Damn didn't understand how they did it. My best lucky shot was 28 tho then ~87. The first day was the first, never thought I will be kicked from the table.
They might be playing 50/50 +0.002 ETH with big amount so they can keep rolling hundreds bets... Anyway waiting for the next competition  Cheesy
You're playing dice in Ethereum?
We won't get the profits from our investments if you are playing there.  Grin
3513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 10, 2020, 03:35:27 AM
To summarize it, it's not about filling the team with shooters and superstars.
It's about hard work.

I think many of us watched The Last Dance.
IMO, it actually portrays how Jordan pushed all his teammates to work harder.
Why? Because he cannot do it all. He knows it, the team knows it, and it fits the style of Phil Jackson.
At the end of the day, they're still a team. It's not about dragging one another down, it's about pushing everyone up to achieve one goal.
The championship.
3514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is likely to reach $ 10,000!!!! on: July 09, 2020, 03:13:29 PM
Could it also mean that this price will be our bottom?
It can go way up than $10k but I am thinking more about not losing its value again and again.
I know there are still weak hands who are always tempted to sell more.
But could this also be a sign that those weak hands are already out?

I mean, if they are still here they might have sold their bitcoins already out of impatience.
3515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: July 09, 2020, 01:42:58 PM
Even in the bonuses game I was n1 in the first days then 38 now. No luck  Sad
I think I was at 60+ rank.
I stopped when I become greedy increasing the bet from my winnings.  Grin
Those guys out there must be doing it like 24/7 to keep their ranks on top.

3516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 09, 2020, 11:30:57 AM

But if I were for Jamal since he is not getting younger I would have chosen a much better team right now capable of winning a ring. With the current status right now of Nets especially the missing good players they have Irving, Durant, Jordan, Dinwiddie, Chandler and Prince chances is so low for them to caught it.

Indeed.
But there is still hope in this decision.
Next year maybe?  Grin

We can see in that video how a veteran moves like a veteran.  Grin
Embiid is good below the rim but if you are against a veteran like Mark who had so much experience including Olympics games then it will be easy for him to stop Embiid.
He needs more experience down there, not just experience in talking so much.  Grin

Watching that video, it looks like Embiid was so overrated that anytime can be stop by a good defender.
I don't know if that are other NBA players who called themselves start having an scoreless night, at least not on Lebron, Kobe, and Kawhi.
Proves he is not unstoppable, unlike the other players that you mentioned.
He got skills but I think it is going over his head most of the time.
You can also prove that when you look at how he reacts whenever he did a strong offensive move.

Could he really be that selfish that he wants Simmons out for more attention?
Like what sana54210 said:
Do you guys think that Embiid is having some sort of trouble with Ben Simmons? I mean looking at the two things he said, they are both looking like attacks to Simmons. He said the game should run through him and usually we see point guards bringing the ball up yet in today's game anyone can do it, Ben Simmons is known to be the main ball handler and playmaker of that team, maybe Embiid wants to be more like Jokic instead? And the other one is him and Horford basically surrounded by shooters, which we know that Simmons is not one at all, he is one of the worst shooters in the league.

So, when you combine these together, it sounds like maybe Embiid wants to force Simmons out of Sixers and he wants to lead the team himself and dislikes the notion that he has to share that with Simmons instead. What do you think?
I guess we will find out more someday. Maybe in the playoffs, if the game starts to heat up and no one can make an offense.
Someone will just burst out of his bad behavior.
3517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens??? on: July 09, 2020, 09:21:05 AM
It changed a lot.
The risk is higher now than how it is before.

Before I made some profits buying coins and tokens which are successful during their ICO.
Now, they are difficult to find. Like looking for a needle in a haystack.
I prefer buying trusted coins now. If ever I will be interested in a new project it must have a feature that will blow our mind.
3518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 09, 2020, 07:46:47 AM
Good point!
Both young and both have skills.
76ers will have a difficult time choosing between the two if ever they want to be separated.

But do remember, Embiid is a guy who talks a lot and it could be a weapon to manipulate the game or what the opponent will think.

Embiid is not a kind of player that could provide consistent offense to the team, he can be doubled and IIRC, there's one man that can stop him, and that is Mark Gasol. We can all see in this video - Toronto Raptors Breakdown - ALL-DEFENSE: How they held Joel Embiid to ZERO points & beat the Sixers!

Which could be the reason they will pick Ben instead of him?
Great video, it tells that Embiid is wrong, it's the first time he was scoreless in his career as an NBA player, great job by Gasol here, he doesn't need to score but it's important he can stop Embiid. Brilliant coaching job by Nick Nurse.

Just keep on replaying it @Reid, maybe it will. LOL Grin

I hope it will.  Grin
I am a Suns fan back then. Speed and offense.
But you could still see how strong in defense Amare back then gaining 2 blocks in just 3 minutes.

How about Simmons do the threes instead because that's for sure unexpected for his offense? Well, I've seen him practicing shooting outside but on actual play, it wouldn't be the same.
He still needs confidence.
Next season will be the best time to try it out by shooting more at a live game.

So, when you combine these together, it sounds like maybe Embiid wants to force Simmons out of Sixers and he wants to lead the team himself and dislikes the notion that he has to share that with Simmons instead. What do you think?

Philadelphia 76ers fans, do you believe on this?

Joel Embiid Says He's 'Capable Of Carrying The Team' On Offense

Quote
Joel Embiid addressed the Philadelphia 76ers' offensive struggles ahead of the Orlando restart, saying that the offense should run through him.

He is giving an idea on what their opponent would expect, but can he really make his team successful if the offense runs through him?
Is he the on the status of Kobe and Lebron yet?

It could also be a strategy.
Giving out strategies for the opponent to expect the ball to be passed to him always.
While the new strategy could be for Ben Simmons if all the shooting practices are fruitful.  Grin

Now watching: 2010 West Finals LAL vs PHX
One of the best Game 5's I had watched. 1st quarter was already hot.  Grin
Kobe with 2 fouls already with 9 minutes left in the first.
