paire to win a set @ 1.97
i don't expect paire to win here but I do expect him to hang in there with rublev, the french doesn't even need to win a set to cash in this bet, a 7-6,6-4 loss works just fine, and i predict at least that for benoit today.
i meant to post the over 9.5 for paire instead of him winning a set, at the end doesn't really matter as he managed to cash in both bets.

as mentioned before, here are my views on tonight's games;

mens singles;

auger-aliassime to win a set @ 1.75
auger-aliassime over 11.5 games @ 1.85
total games @ 22.5 @ 1.95
i believe this match will be very tight and the canadian has every chance to make it to the next round but it won't be a walk in the park.i expect tsitsipas to at least loose a set here which offers decent odds for felix.

It was a three set match, AA did manage to win a set, however, his game is not over, he just scored a measly 10. And total games is 26. AA was able to come back strong in the second set, however, he just score 1 point in the third set as it was clearly dominated by Stepanos.

zverev in straight sets @ 1.85
dropped one set in his last 17 on hard since wimbledon and that was against djokovic, i believe he will continue his dominance here and roll through in straight sets, i tip the german to make it to the final this week.

Zverev vs Ruud, I have a feeling that this could extend on three sets as well.

So Tsitsipas, Medvedev and Rublev already won, so it's going to be a good semis finals.

Medvedev vs Rublev

Tsitsipas just waiting for the winner of Zverev vs Ruud match.
3522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $48k the next Bitcoin benchmark? on: August 21, 2021, 12:50:02 AM
The general cryptocurrency market has been exciting, with Bitcoin gaining an all-time high of $46k since may 2021 in April Bitcoin made an all-time high of above $65k before correcting down to below $30k in mid-April.
Will $48k Bitcoin price be achievable this week?

To reach the bitcoin price of 48$k this week I don't think it is possible, this happens not because of the influence of time and conditions, but there are other circumstances that are being prepared by people that can affect the viability of bitcoin at this time.

They are preparing for a bitcoin weakness scenario in the near future, which essentially means they will make a massive buyout, once this is accomplished and well planned, then by the end of the year they will shock bitcoin should rise to $48k or more, by any means.

You got your predictions wrong bud, because we have broken $48k very easily and maybe one reason is this: https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/wells-fargo-launches-passive-bitcoin-fund-for-wealthy-clients-2021-08-19

So now the big attempt is the round numbers of $50k, will it be reach this weekend? For me, It possible, whethere this weekend or before the end of the month. Patience now for everyone, don't get to exited, profit taking should be around this numbers.

We are still above $49,000, although there was just a small dip to $48,000 and but we have a good bounce again. No need to rush as I have said, eventually we will hit $50,000 no matter what. As you have said, patience should be the key. It's weekends anyways, so there might be some slowing down, because traders are resting, or might sell for just a small profit. Enough to last their itch during this weekends. And then go back to their usual trading activity on the 23rd. So it's very exciting next week or at least at the end of August.
3523  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin @ $50k on: August 21, 2021, 12:27:23 AM
Bitcoin started this weekend market on a very good note hasn’t broken the 48k price benchmark which has held Bitcoin down for over a week before finally crushing the 48k price resistance level arriving at $48,500 on Friday evening, Bitcoin will inevitably end this week with a market price of $50k.

What is your analysis of this prediction?

It's pretty obvious that once we broke that big barrier of $48,000, our next stop will be $50,000.

Possible to end this week with $50,000, however, we shouldn't rush to it. If it reach that price, then good, what's important is that the price increase in natural, and not being artificially pump by whales and influencers, because we all know what will going to happen next if the price goes very fast.
3524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Basic Bitcoin skills on: August 20, 2021, 10:46:48 AM
my first post on this forum I decided to make it here since Bitcoin is what I want to concentrate on going forward, I discovered this site through a google search in my quest to get answers to some questions about Bitcoin. And am amazed at how rich in information this forum is I have found almost 50% answers within my short period on this forum all thanks to the members who have been here before me.
I have a very simple question on Bitcoin:
What are the principal technical skills a bitcoin lover needs to have if I want to buy a large amount of Bitcoin and hold it for long-term purposes?

I'm not sure what you mean by technical skills, but at least some basic knowledge of computers. Then you need to understand how to transfer bitcoin or withdraw, or what is your bitcoin address, private keys and then storage, which is usually a hardware wallet in case you want to buy large amount. Usually a hardware wallet is a good way to store your bitcoin specially if you are planning to just hold on it for a long time.

Did anyone watch Sinner v Isner yesterday? Tennis is amazing! a game where you
can score more points than your opponent but still lose.
federer won 14 more points in his match against djokovic during the wimbledon final in 2019 and did not manage to win his 21st slam.
Yes it was an amazing game and weve seen these situations before but it was a great performance from players but it was a fair win for isner he is in top form in these hard courts but today it was a bit shocking he lost to paire in a three set match it the first two sets it was tight we ve seen two tie breaks but in the last one i did not understand what happened i lost money in the bet i made because isner seemed more likely to win.

I haven't seen any match for this day, was quite busy so I didn't bet as well.

All the top 4 are through to the next round, so it will be very interesting quarter finals match.

Rublev vs Paire - I will go with Rublev in 2 sets.
Tsitisipas vs Felix-AA - Tsitsipas maybe in 3 sets.
Medvedev vs Carreno - Medvedev but it might be a 3 set
Zverev vs Ruud - Zverev by 3 sets.
3526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: August 20, 2021, 09:46:03 AM
Canelo really wants to prove a lot in the boxing ring so it will be another milestone for him to create a new record and a good name. However, it will still be a tough fight for him since Caleb is also well prepared for this. I hope that Canelo would continuously have a consistent win. It will surely be an exciting match.

He doesn't need to prove anything more, he is the p4p top one in my book. This is just icing in the cake for this career. Unifying the belts and then chasing more champions in the light heavyweight. He is the cash cow, so no doubt that those champions like Bivol and Beterbiev are willing to be a dancing partner of Canelo in the future. And once he get those belts, he will go down in 168 lbs, as this is more of his weight class.
3527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: August 20, 2021, 12:55:56 AM
Thanks, @Japinat for the heads up.

Unlocking this thread as the talks of this matchup is in the wave because Inoue himself has posted in his Twitter account that he wants a Casimero fight asap because he wants to punish Casimero inside the ring for antics the latter has thrown at him hehe.

This matchup is more likely to happen than Inoue vs Donaire or Casimero vs Donaire, just my thought.

Yeah, it seems that everything is on the hands of Bob Arum now. And since Inoue is one of his cash cow and wanted to be the next Manny Pacquiao, I'm sure he will not pitted it against Donaire or Casimero right now. Although Inoue hinted that he wanted to have Casimero as his next fight, it will have to wait. Arum will milk Inoue as long as he can before he will put a fight against a dangerous Casimero. Although I think Inoue will edge Casimero prime for prime.
3528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 19, 2021, 02:52:43 AM
I totally missed the final presser hours ago, good thing it was in youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4bA2jOmLYU

Manny Pacquiao hasn't change a bit, still very respectful of his opponent, same with Ugas. Yordenis though a bit taller than Manny but i don't see any problem with that. He has face many tall opponents throughout his legendary career. In 2 days we will see the weigh-in, and it's interesting to look Manny body as it developed throughout in his 40's.
3529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 19, 2021, 02:28:37 AM

That really triggered him, Casimero is just too much. lol.

It's a big business and they'll make big money if this fight will happen, it's also a way for Inoue to teach Casimero a lesson for disrespecting him.
For Casimero's side, he understands that if he will get this fight, it will be the biggest payday of his career, so he is really pushing it to happen.

Remember, they are supposed to fight but due to the pandemic, it was cancelled, after that Casimero started to throw insults on Inoue to call his attention, and I would say he was successful.

I go with money, hehehe Grin Casimero did well to gained Inoue's attention and for him it's a win-win scenario, big payouts, increase of popularity, chances to snatch Inoue's title and an enormous respect to the boxing community once he proves that he's more powerful than Inoue this division will reign by him, so what else did Casimero will fear in case this fight take place?

Though fellow Kabayan is also aiming for that fame and wanted to reclaim his old glory days.
Still no finalization from this event, Inoue's promoter can take the deal against Casimero for sure
there's more money than the fight against Donaire.

True, maybe he was getting into Inoue's skin right now, and so he fell for Casimero bag of tricks and now are very interested to fight him.

Hopefully this fight is also generating a lot of reviews from the boxing community. But since Inoue is the A-side here, he will have the final call, whether Donaire or the brandish and boastful Casimero. In any case I will favor Inoue as slight favorite to win against both fighters.

Hurkacz vs Murray

It's a shame that Murray lost, I want him to do well after such an immensely long injury lay off... but he is still struggling to find any real form. Time is against him a bit now, and I'm not convinced he'll ever get back to the standards he was previously capable of, and challenge for Slam titles. But regardless of whether he achieves anything else in tennis, he has had a magnificent career, and would have won more slams had he not been competing in the same era as Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. Men's tennis won't be the same when these four are all retired.

Yeah, I think he is already past his prime, that injury he suffered was one of the worst.

I also have Bublik winning, unfortunately, he was defeated by Dmitrov in two sets.

I won on that match, under 22.5. I have a parlay with Tiafoe (+1.5) against Schwartzman and Tsitsipas winning. But the match between Tiafoe and Schwartman is ongoing, tied 1-1 going into the third set with both of them holding the serve.
3531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 19, 2021, 12:51:46 AM
Donaire does not throw a lot of punches, he is just looking for good timing to counter and if he hurt his opponent, that's when he attacks aggressively. We saw Inoue struggled in the first few rounds of their fight, but he adjusted, and eventually, Donaire was gas out as he cannot take down an opponent that he usually does when he hit them with clean shots.

I agree with this ^^. That is why Casimero has the edge IMO if the two will meet in the ring soon because Casimero throws more punches than him and is a little bit quicker and can take hard punches too, have seen that many times in his career. I have observed also that most of the opponents that Donaire KOed were smaller than him like Montiel and Arce and he is having a hard time with opponents bigger or who have the same physic as him.

Yes, that's true, I hear a lot of Donaire's interview and he always emphasized that timing is the key to his victory. We have seen it throughout his careers defining knockout, Montiel, Darchy and Arce. But he can banged as well. I forgot the name of the rugged Mexican opponent of his, he gave everything Donaire can handle, even busted Donaire's both eyes, but Donaire survived that fight. It has the same physic or even bigger than Donaire.
3532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ban, mission impossible on: August 19, 2021, 12:05:37 AM
Given the nature of this digital currency, there are always conversations to be heard about not buying Bitcoin, as Bitcoin works outside the traditional banking system, so there are too many opponents to it. However, its design is such that no one can create a particular barrier to buying it. If you have access to the Internet and a Bitcoin wallet, you can invest in buying Bitcoin.

Just for the record though, it was created to be a used as micro-payment scheme.

Many countries have struggled to obtain this digital currency. Bolivia, Thailand, Vietnam and Bangladesh, for example, are all trying to obtain Bitcoin. Even more advanced countries such as Russia, Japan, Australia and Venezuela have attempted to legally sell Bitcoin. But it is interesting to note that some countries, such as India and the United States, have not yet taken action in this regard and have not yet defined an official policy on such currencies.

Doesnt't matter if US or India will not defined it as official or legal tender, because I don't think they will. Why it is that we need countries though to make it as legal tender? Bitcoin can thrive in another 10 years.

In general, it should be said that bitcoin cannot be an obstacle, and this is one of the advantages of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has no barrier, if that's what you mean.
3533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft to use Blockchain technology to fight piracy on: August 18, 2021, 05:51:14 AM
My take on this is that this is just the beginning of cooperations seeing and researching the blockchain technology as the new 'antidote' to providing large-scale privacy and data solutions.

Many companies already has been moving their legacy systems to blockchain and data solutions already. If I'm not mistaken, IBM has started this trend already like 2 years ago providing solutions to many large scale companies that deal with huge data everyday.

Do you think blockchain scaling solution/s could replace many of today's businesses, and the effect will trickle into the crypto space as the 'retails' investment era???

There could be power shift, but old and traditional database to blockchain which is tamper proof specially companies that rely on the every day to make business decisions. Not sure though if it has a domino effect to the company itself unless the CEO or the board of directors are pro-crypto or pro-bitcoin.
3534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 18, 2021, 05:11:44 AM
To be honest, the fans that bought tickets should get a full refund... They probably paid big bucks to see a fight that could have been legendary, and now they're left with this dud?

As far as referring to some sources that I looked at, the ticket price has changed and those who bought it early will either get a refund of excess price or will have other perks on the event venue. It's clear that the ticket price shouldn't be the same on the supposed first match.

That's good to hear that they have reduced the price of the ticket and those who get in early will be refunded. And for those who bet early in crypto sport bookies, the fight is voided so it is refunded already. Just a case whether you will bet on Pacquaio as favorite or not.

It's already there and fans should accept what it turned out. Intentional or not, I see Spence Jr is just afraid and concern that he might get lost. Enough of his medical concerned scripts. Smiley

Nothing we can do about it, just accept it, but the good thing is that we can still watch Manny Pacquiao again. As for Spence whether he really made an excuse or not remains to be seen.
3535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 18, 2021, 04:23:56 AM
Ok so the numbers are in:

Quote
According to a Nielsen Media Research report released Tuesday, viewership increased throughout their 12-round fight for Casimero’s WBO bantamweight title. An average audience of 279,000 watched Showtime’s main event from Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, but it grew in each 15-minute increment measured by Nielsen.

A peak audience of 307,000 tuned in toward the end of Casimero’s split-decision win. By then, Showtime also had direct competition from ESPN’s main event – Joshua Franco’s 12-round, unanimous-decision defeat of Andrew Moloney in their fight for Franco’s WBA world super flyweight title.

https://www.boxingscene.com/casimero-rigondeaux-viewership-went-up-throughout-bout-on-showtime-peaked-307000--159958

The report says it peaked at 300k, but we don't know what those viewers are feeling. For sure they know that it is really boring. Or maybe these are fans of both boxers and chooses to stay up to the last round and wait for the winner and maybe are shock with the decision as there are those who thinks that Rigo did enough to win the fight. LOL.
3536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What lie did you tell? on: August 18, 2021, 03:45:07 AM
I don't remember such things happened too but when I am lying, my parents seem to know what I'm up to and Yeah, I'm not that good lier. I think I don't have the guts to do those things back then especially when it involves money because I think that if something goes wrong, I don't have the means to pay it back. It seems like you are a risk-taker back when you were a child that's why you ended up here in this community. I started to take risks when I am the one who earns my money not when someone trusted me with it.

Yeah, I also can't recall what lie I did during that time in my high school days, but for sure our parents know a thing or two if we do not tell that the real reason as to where the money did go. But I guess the beating you we got from our parents is to discipline us because they already know what we are up to.

But us becoming parents, we don't want our kids to really dab on gambling at a young age. So it's really up to us know to be a good parents and try to be on the look out for our kids not just gambling, but other vices as well.
3537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 18, 2021, 03:16:37 AM
Hurkacz, Korda, Berrettini already won.

Paire vs Shapovalov is match is ongoing, Harris vs Zverev is tomorrow (my time zone).

I also got Sonego ML at 2.25. Again, there are a lot of interesting matches still coming our way in this tournament.

Tiafoe vs Humbert turning out to be a good match as well, tie break in the second set. Humbert trying to stay alive in the match.
3538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The use of Bitcoin as a local currency! on: August 16, 2021, 01:05:32 AM
Everyone on the forum knows what Bitcoin is. We already know that many countries have removed this currency from the ban. I mean, will all the nations of the world use Bitcoin as a currency?

There will be countries that are going to totally opposed bitcoin, specially oppressive government because they don't what their population have financial freedom (and any freedom for that matter).

How important will it be? It will not go to the good side to the bad side?I want to know the opinion-

It's too early to say what will be the good and bad effect. But we have seen countries like El Salvador, Japan and even Australia embracing bitcoin as legal tender. And so far, specially the last 2 nations that I mentioned have some bumps along the way, but still bitcoin is being used and government are still allowing it to flourish.
3539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 16, 2021, 12:39:49 AM
For the ATP Toronto final Medvedev vs Opelka over 23 it seems safe enough to get a win
well that didn't happen, Medvedev didn't face a lot of trouble beating Opelka even though he has a big serve, 2-0 for Medvedev  with 6-4 in the first and 6-3 in the 2nd set, with a total of 19 games, i was expecting at least a tiebreak, it seems like Medvedev is starting to get closer to Djokovic to take over the number one spot.

Same here, was expecting to at least the game will be a three setter as I have said previously, with a good tie break to make the game very good to watch for us tennis fans.

But Medvedev was too much for Opelka and Medvedev has a perfect game play for his big serves. So it was under, which makes me lost too in this match.

With the recent showing of Medvedev, for sure he will be one of the favourites going into the US Open.
3540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 16, 2021, 12:15:41 AM

The first time that Rigondeaux was criticized this much.

That's why he needs to retire because he is not effective anymore, the running capability is still there but the punching power was not present anymore. He hit Casimero with clean shots also but it looks like Casimero was not even tagged, at his age now, he should retire and enjoy life after boxing.

He has been criticized as well with the Loma fight in which he quit in his stool.

So in this case, he didn't quit but rather ran all day throughout the fight. I'm not sure why the other judges score it for Rigo though, because in boxing most of the time the aggressor will always win the fight.

Worst I heard is that this is the worst fight they have seen with titles on the line, LOL.
