3521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 24, 2021, 07:58:17 PM
Just an update of the exciting fights we will see soon.

we are going to see 2 big fights for the month of August.

August 14, 2021 - Casimero vs Rigondeaux
August 21, 2021 - Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr..(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5339133.0)

Let's hope that the Filipino fighters will be victorious.
That's a bit bias though but seeing how Pacquaio isn't who he was before, I think it is a bit of a 50/50 for Pacquiao versus Errol Spence while I think that Rigondeaux can dominate Casimero, Casimero is good but I don't think he has enough experience on big stage.
This shows or proves out that you arent really that much following Casimero in regarding into his own fights and regarding or talking about world stage.
This mans achievement isnt something that you can just ignore on yet basing off with statistics then i can say that Rigondeaux would be fighting
some small fry which you can say about domination.Lets see on how these things to turn out on the fight day.
3522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MemeCoins becoming the new Shitcoins on: May 22, 2021, 11:00:47 PM
Lots of people are looking for the next 100X coins and fortunately enough those shitcoins or memes dont really disappoint these days so normally if you get in early you walk out with some profits and if it doesnt walkout them too that you might lose a buck Just remember that its shitcoin and anything can go down
It wont hurt if you do just invest on the amount you can afford to lose and minding off that you are just buying some lottery ticket and dont anticipate much that these investments would really make you a millionaire.
Just like into those behavior on where people do take out some risk on buying a shit coin even if they are aware but some of them did really luckily able to change up their lives with that and this is something
where most people do really believe and hope for this is why we do see still some investment made even we can say that majority of them are shit or not relevant but chances or odds on changing up
someones life is really there and expect on having lots of similar projects popping out because this had been the new trend atm.

However, if a hack happens, your details could get leaked to outsiders which is why handing over your KYC details is a risky proposition no matter how genuine the site in question is.
This fact has been discussed and warned many time and should get the attention of anyone wishing to gamble on a site asking us to complete KYC. Nothing is completely safe for me online, so we should consider that from the start. I don't mind if a very reputable gambling site asks me to complete KYC, but I don't know how long that document will be kept by the site. So far, I think they will keep it forever even though we no longer use the site.

The question that may need to be answered, why do we not have the option to delete KYC document if we no longer use a gambling site?
Deleting or trashing up those documents would always depend on the company if they do consider on doing it out if a certain user would be leaving or wouldnt play anymore in the website
but its much better on not to expect or anticipate that they would do such thing since they will really be storing up those informations on a database which might they can use it later on
for other purpose who knows right? Same as yours on where im not really that much confident when submitting any documents on any service out there even with those
transactions that do happen in real life where we do need to submit documentations etc.

-skip-
This is where knowledge will differ in each person and if you do able to save up yourself before the crash then that was a good move because the market had eventually crashed and if you havent
then you had just missed out that opportunity. Its true that what goes up would always comes down because this wont be called a market if we would only be moving in one path.
So its up to someone on how they would be saving up their ass on in times like these because there would always be a time on where we do really have some corrections like this.
So you should be wise from time to time.
well I don't want big losses in conditions like this so I move my assets to fiat while waiting for this correction to finish, but this is also me while looking at how the movement in the market and if there is an opportunity then I will not pass it, of course in this case it is very vulnerable if we choose the wrong choice even though this is already a risk, I will continue to try to avoid it and do not want large losses to repeat itself as before.
There are at least some signs of sight and the market looks green again and there is lots of positive news about cryptos so there will usually be a recovery back to the way it was.
Depends on each person on how they would see a certain situation and make out analysis from it and make out some possible plans or movements or steps whenever theres a sign of some
movement where you can easily make yourself get out and save up yourself on possible loss.So its a bit involving some luck when it comes to these calls.
Yes, its true that what goes up must come down and i said that this market wont really be moving in single path and it cant be called a market
if we do just see that it do continue to rise without any correction and price decrease.
3525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: May 22, 2021, 09:42:17 PM
Telling other people helps someone to share his problem so he can solve it. However, two heads will be better than one head.
Two heads are better than one and once you share your problem with anyone, you release a lot of pressure off yourself. If no one else, one can at least inform their family members and seek help because there is no shame within family members.
There's a feel of shame when the addicted gambler wants to tell it to his family that's why, some of them chooses to tell it to their closest friends because they're for sure won't be judged and instead will get some help. In reality, they're just scared to tell it but once the family understands what you're dealing with, they'll be the first one to help you get out of addiction and will help you for sure.
Its really a very shameful thing but honestly there's no other people in the world that could help you but rather your own family but if you are a type of person

who doesnt really welcome any external help even in your loved ones then you would really be finding out this thing to be not included into your options.

Professional help would really be your next option but honestly self realizations should be think up first before going into other options.
3526  Economy / Speculation / Re: What goes up must come down on: May 21, 2021, 11:44:18 PM
Many people miss to see this since majority keep looking to see more pump and thinking that we can shoot up more, I myself think that to but when I see a big fuds like currently what happen now I already secured my funds to usdt so that I will not left bag holding any alts and buy when the storm calm again. Bitcoin seems going for more dump since the threat still there but hopefully we cannot see more upsetting dumps since I'm sure many bag holders will be produce by this huge marker crash happening these days.
It is much better to secure assets to fiat to secure it from falling continuously for me this is still not calm enough and bitcoin will continue to be thrown away after many threats from FUD news do not stop thinking this will continue who knows how long it will end, but I realized only recently a few days bitcoin dump feels like it will still be recovering even it is difficult to say in the near future so we still have to look at the situation.

It's really a market crash I don't want to keep any coins in my bag except the fiat which I secure it is better not to fall for the price drops even this could be even worse than the current lowest price.
This is where knowledge will differ in each person and if you do able to save up yourself before the crash then that was a good move because the market had eventually crashed and if you havent
then you had just missed out that opportunity. Its true that what goes up would always comes down because this wont be called a market if we would only be moving in one path.

3527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 21, 2021, 10:40:49 PM

Yup, that is the one. To be absolutely fair I don't know enough about DOTA rivalries and player history to judge it correctly. That tweet can have totally different context depending on relations between players. If for instance couple of them played together at some time in history than that tweet is just good banter. If they don't know each other well than it is borderline too much even for me.

Also the tweet should have been just "Thanks for keeping the DPC streets clean @TeamLiquid" and video. The part after the comma "thank you for taking out the trash" is sort of explaining the joke to dim witted audience and ruins the flow for me.

Totally depends on the impression on how a certain individual would really trying to look on that line which it might be that offensive for the team itself or just not taken seriously.
I do agree into your point that it did really ruins the flow but it isnt really that much of an issue though, thing here is that we do see a good game even
OG on 2nd game didnt able to make out some good plays due to bad draft.
3528  Other / Off-topic / Re: Now tell me if you still believe on Elon Musk. on: May 21, 2021, 09:44:24 PM
I have never been a fan of Elon Musk,  I only knew him as a rich dude, and this was as a result of his recent encounter with btc, if not for his btc involvement I won't even know him, I can not base my crypto investment in the hands of such person, that is a very bad design
He's known mostly because of Tesla and we have seen lots of news and events in regards with Tesla achievement and other things and he had able to claimed out to be the richest man in the world
which who would be the one wont be knowing this man unless if you are out in finance news or market then you wont really be that much aware and now he had set foot into crypto
market which i can say that he could really make out some significant changes into his appearance and since this guy is financially capable no doubt then he can stir up things if he wanted to.
We have seen on how he had u-turn from pro bitcoin and now its totally opposing on it which is really not a surprising move imho.
3529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 21, 2021, 08:39:42 PM
A little bit, the current VP roster mostly started from their youth team VP.Prodigy which was formed last year when there wasn't any valve tournaments and they found a lot of success compared to their main roster with Noone and the gang. After some time VP dropped their entire roster, picked up their youth team and here they are now.  Cheesy
What do you mean mostly? I thought it is their whole youth team that took places of their first team. Actually after reading your post twice I guess you wanted to say the same but word "mostly" added some confusion for me Smiley

I love Team Secret twitter, but I am all for trash talk and some good banter. Some people take that stuff way too seriously. I am sure OG is remembering this meme and will retaliate when results go their way, as they should Smiley

Whoever is running Team Secret Twitter should get a raise. The guy is a savage LOL!
You mean this? https://twitter.com/teamsecret/status/1395076950012608512

or am i missing something?  Cheesy People would normally have different reactions with this and some saying that its way too harsh.
3530  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not made to apply taxes on it - BTC economic model is different on: May 21, 2021, 07:26:15 PM
Bitcoin is not made to apply taxes on it - BTC economic model is different

Bitcoin is not made to apply taxes on it as Bitcoins Economic model is different. If governments want to earn money through cryptocurrency, they must invest in it. It is upto governments to buy Crypto using their reserves and hold it instead of applying taxes as taxes cannot help much since there are privacy USDs.
Do you really think that government would just let pass into those people who had earning lots compared to those who had typical day jobs?
Its already anticipated that government would really be finding ways on extracting out taxes out of those earners here in cryptocurrency which is really something huge and shouldnt really be passed.
Even if your personal opinion talks about that bitcoin isnt made to apply taxes on it but remember that those services out there connected with crypto transactions can easily be imposed or implement
or subject for them to follow up regulations which simply means that they wont really be having any choice but to comply or else say good bye into their business.
3531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos: Internal notifications, message inbox vs Email. on: May 20, 2021, 11:26:58 PM
I agree that if you don't play to go to that casino for a long time, you shouldn't leave any amount because it might be hard to withdraw when you comeback and they'll ask you to comply with some requirements that you have to.

It's necessary to withdraw all funds if you aren't planning to play for long but in case of inactivity or closed from being a dormant account, casinos will surely send an email about it beforehand so the user will still notify. And I think it will take a year or two before an account will be tagged as completely inactive or abandoned.

And I also don't think there's someone that will keep money on some gambling sites unless they forgot completely their credentials such as email passwords and so on.
Dormant accounts would usually be considered after a year of having no logged in activity and also not all casinos wouldnt really be that strict when it comes to that unless if they
do plan to free up some space then they would definitely make out some cleaning but those take long time so this wont really be an issue. Its true that
no one would intent to leave up their funds on a gambling account for a long time since majority will be leaving out casino when they are empty-handed
and as said most of the time to those people who had totally forgot their log-in credentials.
3532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of memecoin season by Vitalik Buterin or not? on: May 20, 2021, 10:31:07 PM
Nobody (aside from shiba holders) could be mad at him for doing that.
Then you don't know why many people come into crypto. Most of them don't care about bitcoin/cryptocurrency vision.
They only care about money, if all shiba holders know, i'm sure most of them were angry with him.
But they can't really say much because what he does is very noble
Dont really believe on that word on being noble or some sort because when we do deal with this market then majority or i can say that all would be only mindful on how  to make money or profits.
Total support or passion towards into its total usage is just a story or just flowering it up just to make it appealing to the public but honestly im not believing on any those kind of shows.
We do have our own decisions towards our holding and if Vitalik decided up to sell those things then its up to his choice no matter what are the motives or target that he do have in mind.
One things for sure that memecoin would always stays as a joke.  Wink
3533  Economy / Gambling / Re: WavesPlay.com - Live on Chain - Dice, Coin Flip, Referral for Life on: May 20, 2021, 09:23:11 PM
Krosscoin is now also live on https://WavesPlay.com.

visited the site and i noticed a lot of currencies are saying bankroll too low like BTC, ETH, XMR, BCH, USDT, and others. what will happen if someone wins, and the winning is more than what your bankroll has, are you going to compensate it with other available coins?
but good to see that the site active again. maybe hold some promotional activities that will attract players.
Its been a while on where OP did make out some updates or a announcement into this forum which it wont really be surprising that they had been forgotten and about that showing off of bankroll too low then
its literally they dont have the funds which does indicate that it can only handle the bets basing up into its current bankroll. What bet amount you had set out?
If its just too small then i dont see for it to be attractive on most gamblers but for those who do love to test out small amounts then this one
wont be a bad idea and i agree that they shouldve focused on marketing side.
3534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl is not the best option as it seems on: May 20, 2021, 08:25:23 PM
Bitcoin just fell down to 39k plus per 1, and those that held/bought bitcoin while it was at 50k have no benefit of holding bitcoin at 50k per 1 instead they lost money. lets say those that will buy at 39k per 1 will have more benefits when its spikes again to 50k. So those that enjoyed holding bitcoin at 50k hoping that it will hit another ATH will have to wait for bitcoin to hit another 50k but still got no  profit, while the 39k buyers will profit 11k dollars. My question is why is they no extra profit for early holders when the price falls and rises agian?

This is why people need to understand that investing comes with risks, be it with bitcoin or any other traditional investment assets out there. There isn't any safety net that offers you protection from such harsh market movements, therefore you take all the responsibility when worse comes to worst. A lot of times, those who were only persuaded to invest because the market is looking good are the ones who are getting extremely burned in the end. They're either left with bags they cannot sell, or as you say it, hold until the price evens out with their entry price/they profit.
Majority or specially to those who had just recently entered the market are the ones who do experience such wreckage of this market when the price turns out to the opposite side.
We do have that wrong mindset on where we do believe that we can really make out money fast or too easy without minding about the risk involved which we should have
be aware since from the start on dealing up with this market. HODL isnt bad if you do know on what coins does have the potential or simply on what would be your
target because if you do aim for short term profit taking then you should be wise on when to enter the market.
3535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: May 19, 2021, 11:44:54 PM
Don´t people find just difficult to believe that you need to incentivise people to do something that will make them safer? I think that a lot of this has to do with the narratives that have been ongoing during the last year, and the grade of irresponsibility of the previous governor and previous president that, for all that matters, took the pandemic as an act of God that should simply be endured. No wonder now there is such a problem with convincing people to get the jab.
I don't think the government is one of the main reason why people are discouraged, from my observation it's about the misinformation that's spreading and some people are quick to believe in what they hear and eventually they lean on to that side that's why it's becoming hard for the government to convince some of the people to get the vaccine. I even remember hearing one guy saying that he doesn't want his kids to get the vaccine because their immunity is already strong which sucks since he's not looking at the bigger picture.
People doesnt really have the same kind of mentality when it comes to things, some are open minded and some are not and just stick out on what they do believe.
Its not that they do easy to believe but rather there some basis in regards into those things that they have seen on recent events or news which they do solely
focus out on the side effects that it may give and this is why people would rather choose on not to get those shots or vaccine rather than
on getting the risk on getting those side effects that they had seen on some people.
3536  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Failed in trade it's not joke. on: May 19, 2021, 10:31:26 PM
Im newbie in trading it is really hard to choose what margins if I will be in high or low margin. Due of not consistent value of the price I've doubt in myself if will learn in trading . One of my friend traders tell me more about trading and he just said to me that I must read more the sequences of trading and observe the graphic.

Until I learn little thing regards in trading , cause trade it's not a consistent it is just an analysis of us. Being a traders I'll become flexible and to be risk taker no matter what I've lost in my traded.
Take those lost trades as part of your learning and dont get easily discourage and stop trading because of it because its normal and non inevitable thing because there's no such thing about being a perfect trader and when you are just starting into this market then its normal to commit those mistakes due to lack of experience and knowledge and this is where you do get your learning out of those mistakes.
You would be suppressing those things via experience and the knowledge you gained along  the way.Trading is no joke and this isnt something where everybody could deal with.
If you do fail but you do persevere then that what matter most.If you want to be successful then you should do your assignment and do your best.
3537  Economy / Gambling / Re: Very immoral marketing strategy. on: May 19, 2021, 09:31:42 PM
~
Expectation vs Reality?

This is mostly true and its up to someone if they could take it or not. When it comes to marketing then these things arent really that new.

It isnt immoral because its clear that most funds been used are sponsored by the house or company. Its part of the strategy or marketing for them to get players.

If you do find it to be immoral then you can choose nor decide for yourself.
Well, if you aren't living in a country that doesn't actively punishes advertisers that deceive the people by making exaggerated product placements on their product/services then you have to just roll with it since they are just doing their job and that's what their school have taught them. I don't find it immoral since everyone has to look good so the first impression is good, I can't blame them for that.
If its against your belief, you'll always have your choice to leave and just play online without visiting the live room again.
Its their job and they are being paid for that and seriously, that kind of market works for every casinos since they keep on doing that and they spend a lot of money for that strategy, there's no one to blame because its legal and not immoral for me.
To make it completely not immoral they should be saying, in the beginning, and in the end of their stream, something in the style of a smoking warnings. Or, if their streaming session is a long one, those warnings should be voiced somewhere in the middle too. People should be reminded all the time that mathematically they are more likely to lose than win. (After reading delfastTions's reply to my post and some other posts, I realized that saying it was deceived people's own fault was too harsh).
This is already depending on the management if they would really order the influencer to say up things at first that those are sponsored ones but i doubt that
they would do that because its a bit loss of excitement if viewers does know that theres nothing to lose on the streamer itself when he plays which
means they do expect that he wont really be affected that much because its not his money that being spent.
3538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's never too late to start on: May 19, 2021, 08:32:41 PM
actually I have also known bitcoin since 2017. But since the crash market, I started to think that bitcoin is a high risk investment and a small profit.  Earlier this year, I realized bitcoin is a very profitable investment.  It is never too late to invest in bitcoin, bitcoin and altcoin prices still have the potential to go up even higher.  If many countries or companies have started using bitcoin or using other crypto platforms.  At that time the price of bitcoin and crypto will rise even higher
With now on the current price dip? Do you think that those kind of  views wont change again? For sure it does specially for newcomers out there where they do hope
that much or anticipate on getting rich with their crypto investment and with this current price correction for sure those kind of anticipation would break out and
frustration would comes next. Its true that its never too late to start but it would be much more wiser if you do consider on when to get in
on something which is cheaper.
3539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the motive behind the anti gambling campaign on: May 19, 2021, 07:31:48 PM
Religious conservatives have a lot of political power, disproportionate to their actual population size. We always see them pushing these negative narratives around things which they find morally unacceptable. We rarely see people who are willing to counter against them so the moral crusaders end up getting their way more often than not.
The religious conservatives will against gambling games because that is related to the forbidden thing in their religion. They can force the political people who have the power to prohibit gambling games. But the most reason why gambling games are prohibited is that playing gambling can make people addicted to gambling, people will lose their money if they can not control it, and people can ruin their lives.
Excluding religious aspects when it comes to banning is that there are certain governments does really mind about their citizens and doesnt really mind about revenue or taxation
made out by these companies or simply on the entire industry where we do know that gambling can generate huge income and of course when it comes to tax they would really
be a big contributor but these type of government is really a bit rare or small in numbers and majority of them would really mind off about progress of their country via
tax rather than on minding with their citizens addiction probability.
3540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: May 18, 2021, 10:27:41 PM
I don't think dogecoin should be hodled. Dogecoin was able to reach these levels by being pumped thanks to a famous person. I don't think it will perform in the same way in the future if there is no celebrity supporting Dogecoin. According to me, I don't buy Dogecoin, I haven't invested in Dogecoin until now. I think you have the opportunity to earn more money by holding other coins.
When we look back before DOGE was hyped or backed by a billionaire then we have seen that the price isnt really that moving at all or lets say its cheap.
Good thing for those who had risk out on buying it in spite of its price and when the time where it had been hyped or pumped then that really paid off.
Actually its almost a gamble for those who hold while its still cheap and now its been pumped.Do your really think that it would really pump even more?
Some do even say on reaching a dollars or more which is impossible or wont really be sustainable.
