3541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have my pockets full of LTC and my home boys do too! on: April 23, 2017, 10:06:50 AM
as an investor, people should have bought it when it was low. in other words you always buy when everyone is silent about the coin. and if you missed the chance to buy then you should buy as fast as possible then if you missed it again you have to stay away and watch the price go up to $50 and start regretting why did you listen to some FUD and didn't buy.

maybe this is still a low price who know? i see that this hype can build the value up to $50-60 or higher and reach dash value, still very possible, because for now the value is only 2x before the pump started, in other words this si the beginning

Don't get carried away by over evaluating Litecoin's growth prospect. Litecoin was always fast, had low fees and there is no need for any form of scaling upgrade.
Adding SegWit is not mandatory, it is additional feature not necessary upgrade needed for Litecoin to evolve. Let say it now: Bitcoin needs SegWit. Litecoin would be fine without it.

The real reason for segwit for litecoin is the new features it will bring, not because of block size. That is why everyone is excited, well, at least us who are invested and paying attention.

what are these features? i keep hearing this about new features, but none seems to know, it's like they are making this up to pump the value
3542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to verify if a project is genuine for a non technical user? on: April 23, 2017, 10:03:43 AM
Nope crypto panhandling is not legit.
I don't care if you think some of the bums in the crowd deserve it.

And escrow ?
What you think they can't be gamed ?

You guys are a lost cause.
ICO = SCAM .

escrow like sebastian are legit 100%, i did a trade with him all perfect. i agree that even escrow can become evil greedy bastard that want to scma you, but it's not always the case, there are many very old escrow here like john or jonattan i don't remember his nick name, which held many bitcoin in the past even 1000 and never scammed anyone, i think the more trustworthy escrow are only the one that escrow a very large amount of funds, like 1000 btc, all the other have still a chance to scam later by building trust
3543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think BTC SegWit will be activated? on: April 23, 2017, 10:00:26 AM
So BU is trying as much as possible to block SegWit for BTC and vice-versa.. do you think SegWit will ever be activated on Bitcoin during these 26-activation periods?

EDIT: I just noticed I posted in the wrong category.

they are making a nice match there, but bu is not getting more voting for now, they are about equalt at 38 vs 34 %, let's see how the things will goes

Hope not. Segwit is too much unknown, it could kill Bitcoin.

it was tested many times, what is unknown excatly and how it can kill bitccoin? i don't see any worry here, only miners are converned on less fee gained if segwit plus LN will be adopted, other than that segwit alone will be fine
3544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH PoS repayment on: April 22, 2017, 02:13:22 PM
Most crypto will use PoS soon, and also there is a new project that will replace mining with PoW

pos is bad in fact ethereum is not sure to go pos, they keep delaying it for a reason, i hope they remain with pow, or all the other coins will be unprofitable, because ETH currently is absorbign a very large hashrate that no other coin can handle

iam new user ethereum
is realy if ethereum pos coin, only hold coin in dekstop wallet can get rertun
i think ethereum only pow coin, only mining can get etherum without POS coin

i have never used a POS coin myself but it is my understanding that the "reward" is not given to you just for having that coin in your wallet, you will have to be running the wallet as a full node and verify and  relay transactions in order to get that reward.
and running the wallet is not an easy or cheap thing to do both because of electricity and network traffic cost.

no not as a full node, in fact i get stake even if i close the wallet, you just need to meet the minimum stake age, if a coin say that you need to have your coins in your wallet for 12 hours, after 12 hours with your coins there you begin to stake, it doesn't matter if you close or open the wallet, the blockchain will keep the tracking of the time
3545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin SegWit will be activated in TBD on: April 22, 2017, 02:12:14 PM

but it was at 75% before, and then returned back why? but the value is higher, this is weird, i think investors are buying without knowing what they are buying, following the hype of other investrors that start the pump, or simply this market is rigged and will crush soon, i only whatch for now to dangerous to enter here
3546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the future of gambling on: April 22, 2017, 02:07:24 PM
i think that as long as there is crypto there will be more and more gambling, the gambling boom was due to the crypto currency that accelerated the propagation, because it's more easy to gamble with crypto than with fiat, you don't have to send private information, or limit on deposit and annoying stuff like that, gambling now are more addictive if are done in cojuction with some games that have a certain skill degree, i like this duo now it open the doors for a less pure luck type of gambling
3547  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Your advice needed - updated on: April 22, 2017, 02:04:08 PM
that's interesting i like this kind of game, but you didn't answer to my question about the pure gamble or skill, there is any meaning behind how a ship get hit? i mean can you maneuver the ship or it's only enterily on the ship to survive based on its specifications?

You will not be able to drive the ship real-time, otherwise I will have to do full 3d online space simulator, which is not the point for me now.

Your abilities to hit will depend on your ship's characteristics and on a random events. It's like battles in MOO2 in automatic mode.

oh ok that's was my worry, well i guess will make for a more easy game, when can we expect a release for this game, any ETA?
3548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to verify if a project is genuine for a non technical user? on: April 22, 2017, 01:57:06 PM
For people who are coming from strong coding or IT background, they could verify like if apps is updated, source code is having error or so.

How about ways for non technical user

1) Whitepaper
2) Ann Thread
3) Verify The Project Owner

We have came across multiple of Big Scam Project - OPAIR , Ebitz, LetItRide

Both 3 has a very good written whitepaper, very good and innovative idea, clear and informative info graphics. Except On Project Team Member which is not verified/listed.

Therefore, if you wanted to invest in some project

Other than understanding the mandatory of the project, what would you look at?

look if it is an ico, any ico is a bad investment now, the ico hype ended with lisk long time ago, only chose dev who have escrow if he is doing some sort of distribution without ico or choose trusted dev that is not a newbie

Here is how you do it:

Step 1: Go to coinmarketcap.com

Step 2: Avoid everything listed below the #1 ranked coin

lol, it's true that everything here is turned to bitcoin, but some coins have actually a nice roadmap and are a nice project, would be stupid to ignore, bitcoin can lear a lot from these coins
3549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PIVX speculatation + POLONIEX? on: April 22, 2017, 10:58:56 AM
in my opinion pivx was just targetted by big whales investors, and decided to pump it that's it, there is nothing special on this coin, is having zero/instamine premine a feature now? LOL, fair launch should be the prerogative of every coin if it's not then don't invest, but whales like to pump every shit here, they only care about scamming newbie investors, pivx is no different, will return to sub 100k satoshi soon, mark my words
It's been pretty stable considering how rapidly it has grown... you could be wrong on this one. We will have to wait and see.

they all look stable at first when a big pump like this happen, even bitcoin looks stable remember when bitcoin went to 1200, and for many months the value remined at $600-$800 then boom tanked to the ground to $200, maybe you can be lucky and have this one pivx, stayng above 100k just because there is nominers pressure here, so the buyers walle are harder to get down, but from the peak it's already losing 50% of the value, so be aware
3550  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Your advice needed - updated on: April 22, 2017, 10:57:51 AM
if this is a naval combat where you can bet or maybe i earn point to convert in bitcoin if i destroy the opponent ship? it sounds interesting indeed, but on what is based the fact that one ship miss the shot and the other not, is it all random, or require some skill? i prefer if it is not all about luck, i also like that you want to keep it simple at first, but you can add upgrade and more weapons later, would make things more interesting

Yes, if you will destroy an enemy ship you will be able to gain some parts from his ship and cell it for Bitcoins. If you will destroy an upgraded ship you will receive more. But upgraded ship is hardly to destroy.
You will be able to add some equipment on your ship, different guns, shields.
Will your gun miss or not it depends not only on a luck, but also on the dodge rate of your enemy ship, accuracy of your gun, your current battle's random accuracy bonus and skill of your pilot.

But firstly I think the game will be very simple, to start it faster. After that I will add some new elements.
Firstly ships will just collect garbage without battles.

that's interesting i like this kind of game, but you didn't answer to my question about the pure gamble or skill, there is any meaning behind how a ship get hit? i mean can you maneuver the ship or it's only enterily on the ship to survive based on its specifications?
3551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any good coins I am missing out on: April 22, 2017, 10:53:40 AM
Hey guys,

I just started trading cryptocurrency, and the following are my coins:

The top 6 are bought for long term holding, and the rest 6 are to sell when there is a good high point.

I am not a day trader, I am happy to bad the profit in future.

Any suggestions on the coins I have or any good coins I am missing out?

you are losing lbry and spreadcoin and ark, remove ripple from there please it's not a real coin, it's not based on the blockchaina nd not decentralized, and i think it's better to focus on something else than dash, the pump is done and no more buyers will make the price higher again there, it's a dying horse now

I dont understand what gives XRP value. Could anyone explain?

Is XRP used for anything? Does anyone need it for something? When would I need to have XRP?

they give the value to their coin not very different than fiat currency, very centralized and have almost infinite supply, can be replenished at will, and why i recommend to stay away from ripple it's not a real coin, just an IOU, for now ripple is only used to pay their employees, hope it help

3554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: April 21, 2017, 04:51:37 PM
what is this?

First ever decentralised exchange.  No coding required.  details:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=829576.6720

first? i don't think so, you know about bitsquare right? or bitshares 2.0, they are both pretty popular and they are very old decentralized exchange

Today would be a good day for this thread to be labeled officially dead and placed in the trash bin.

technically this is only a pump, remember what happened with the halvign, a pump and then a dump and was forgot again, still looks very dead to me, the value isn't moving much from the first 2x that was reached for segwit
3555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Consensus reached on Seq Witness & LTC 🌝 on: April 21, 2017, 04:49:07 PM
good news but the value isn't increasing more than the last mini pump when they announced all this about segwit activation, i hope now that bitcoin can follow the same route and activate segwit as well, miners should come in agreement for bitcoin too, after all aren't they all chinese? litecoin miners and bitcoin miners are the same people mining, and if they agree on litecoin they should too on bitcoin
3556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a simple PoS coin, any ideas? on: April 21, 2017, 04:46:22 PM
the best one now is atom is simple and it's being pumped, still pretty cheap you can buy many, i bought at 600 satoshi and now the coin reached 1800, has a very good pos, 100% reward per year and the dev is active
3557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: While we fight about Block sizes other payment systems move forward. on: April 21, 2017, 04:45:24 PM
not really moving forward to me, they are still the centralized system that they were before, no matter what they do if they remain centralized i won't use them, i want privacy for my transaction, not someone  checking all my activity because he think i'm not going to pay tax on this or that, i still prefer bitcoin sorry
3558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: April 21, 2017, 10:34:09 AM
this coin will have anonymous features like? having only masternodes will not do it, we need mroe features

Happy Thursday everyone,

As promised, we are moving closer to finalizing key aspects of the project and endeavour to get feedback from you all.  We have one of the more engaged and technically adapt communities and we will utilize that to our benefit. In terms of hash to be used for Helium, we are looking to implement x11

There are several reasons why we are looking at x11:

- it keeps us in-line with DASH (given we are a DASH tech fork)
- We've already made everyone aware that we are sticking pretty close to DASH until we get our master nodes count up to between 2,000 to 4,000 master nodes
- x11 hash has a lot of resources that Helium can use immediately, which will translate into more time and money being saved by the network
- the decision is not final. We will be forking away from DASH once our work on the patents and Service nodes are ready, a hash change can be made then if it makes sense

There are pros and cons to every choice so we would like to get feedback from the community. Feel free to join us in the Helium Slack channel where all of the discussion is taking place:

https://heliumslack.herokuapp.com/

please no x11 at least change the parameters, x11 is asic only, we need gpu if you want to remain in line with spreadcoin mentality and decentralization, you need gpu mining not asic, do a new algo or a variant of x11
3559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing? on: April 21, 2017, 10:33:12 AM
What do we really need from an altcoins, what is the next big thing?

We have anoncoin, platforms for trading and smart contracts, tokens..

Where are we heading?

Bitcoin was something completely new, can we expect another one?

HLM is the next big thing, it's based on dash but with a pow gpu algorithm and masternodes, and decentralized exchange plus probably anon features, i don't know if this is in the roadmap
check here the ANN https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1809278.0
3560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with Masternode? on: April 21, 2017, 10:31:50 AM
Masternodes = Centralization!

I think masternodes = centralisation, which deviates from the philosophy of cryptocurrencies.

PoW = centralization

no i think you are wrong, asic pow = centralizatio, gpu pow = decentralization, the best decentralization is with gpu, if you think about everyone just running one rig this is not possible but the close you have it with gpu and nothing else
