(~ 0.5% p.a inflation)" .... 247 million mined in the first 6 months.  It's a shame they had to ruin a good idea with an unfair 6 month instamine. I bet you will hold some qrk in 2014, this same whining happened with btc and ltc, if you think btc and ltc aren't a get rich quick scheme you are out of your mind, just look the trollbox, people try to fuck each other over to make money, only to make money. Same old story, people whine about a coin, once it gets popular they jump on the bandwagon. seen it with btc, seen it with ltc. No publicity is bad publicity, meanwhile quarks subscribers on reddit has doubled in like 1-2 days

Mwa, ben nog niet echt overtuigd moet ik zeggen. You hear of the complaint that 98% of Quark has been mined already. You can say the same about bitcoin, considering only large server farms can compete in mining the coin. You will find that the barrier to entry in bitcoin mining is huge! Ik snap wat ze bedoelen, dat voor "Jan met de Pet" in de praktijk niets meer te minen valt, maar dat is heel wat anders als dat 98% van de coins al zijn gemined. Van bitcoin is pas 57% gemined dus vind ik niet dat je hier van pr-minen kan praten. Bitcoins mining is gecentraliseerd. Maakt niet uit of er pas 57% is gemined de overige percentage zal niet gemined kunnen worden door iedereen. Je moet er duizenden tot zelfs tienduizenden euros voor neer moeten leggen. Quark schakelt die ASIC oplichters uit. Is al heel wat. Daarnaast is al veel gemined, maar zo worden de Quarks sneller verspreid. Bitcoin is meer een handelswaar, asset op z'n engels en niet zozeer een currency. |

Hi to all. I'm spanish and here in my country there is a lot of interest around the new cryptocurrencies, specially Quarks, but it's hard for people to buy. There are a lot of groups interested in invest on other alternate cryptos, different of Litecoin. People think that has missed the boat and don't invest his money. With Quark and his incredible potential, this could change. I'm planning mount a simple web this weekend to can buy Quarks. I'm new here and by the moment I only have 3 Quarks xD. First i know that YACoin is NovaCoin fork but what is exact difference between NovaCoin and YACoin and how does Quark compare with them?

 EDIT: got it  This is 100% filled to the rim with WIN. Perfect. I like this one the most, too. Just a suggestion: Quark represents the subatomic partical. When I see pics at google, there are always the colors green, red and blue. So maybe we could make it more redish,blueish and greenish? I don't think we should copy it identically, these colors which are used now people are already used to. I think we should keep it this way |

You could totally see this being made on glass or clear plastic with a holographic middle. So cool. I would buy one right now lol. This one is pretty legit, my favourite so far, but could we see more variations of this model? I would like to see that with similar inside colors like in original icon. +1 the details inside are nice, i also would like to see the inside colors like the original one, or another pattern. How about a galaxy /universe kind of pattern with cloud gasses with the colours of the original logo and some stars in it? |

For the sake of Crypto world, some well known devs BTC/LTC and others need to take a look at Quark because it really is having some interesting features and the experiment of mining them all quicker than decades might turn out positive after a while. The devs of other coins need to stop being selfish and acting like they are in some kind of currency war and help hand because we are seeing improvements above BTC and LTC in these coins which deserve more attention and if some flaws get fixed we could get a top notch currency here.

No gold quark logo please, BTC is already associated with that and it's seen more as an asset. Quark is no gold.

I think we need to keep the original logo, but with a little bit of tweaks and refreshment. Because people are already familiar to the logo. There is not really a need to change it completely. The winner in my eyes is someone who keeps the current logo characteristics alive, but gives it an elegant look.

Some are just whining too much, every coin goes through the same damn early adopters process, on a side note hundred thousands of dollars are ready to buy ark at 10(shows the huge interest), I'm going to buy a lot at that price also, haven't put an order yet. It won't go lower than 10. All these whiners have invested in another coin and want to satisfy themselves with bashing another coin, its like a defends mechanism, but they will kick themselves for being so selfish. Just look at the 6000+ subscribers on the forum and Reddit has been seeing nice gains in subscribers also. The infrastructure is also very important, i suggest help a hand if you can.
