3561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Death during illegal cockfighting raid on: October 30, 2020, 04:10:02 AM
Aside from the main issue that it is an illegal cockfighting ring, the death is an accident and it does not have any correlation with the raid. Philippines has a big problem when it comes to this illegal cockfighting ring because a lot of money is involved in this kind of games, even politicians are known to bet on this games. Some are protected by the local authorities because they are bribed. There was once a story where a hitman is hired by a politician to kill the owner of the winning fighter, although it was a long time ago. There have been cases the same as this one that I have known of and by far this is the only time that someone died.
3562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Help me by giving some ideas of blackjack tournaments on: October 30, 2020, 03:31:46 AM
My suggestion is to make a bracket style tournament where you put 7 players on one bracket and the other 7 on the other bracket and so on. The way to win at your bracket is to have the highest winnings in X(your preferred rounds per bracket) rounds. The lowest will be eliminated and two brackets that didn't make the 1st place in their bracket are joined together with their neighboring brackets, during the bracket merge the first and second highest earner will advance and join the first bracket winner. The idea of my tournament is not fully fleshed out but hopefully you get the idea and improve it.
3563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Crypto Poker Ecosystem on: October 30, 2020, 02:53:35 AM
The concept is good and all but the problem that I see is you will be creating your own coin that can't be used outside your site. You do know that there are a lot of these coins that do not have ouside value had scammed people.
3564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Follow your mind! on: October 30, 2020, 02:22:46 AM
Every action has a risk that must be faced, trusting the predictions of others is allowed but not fully held, self-consideration must be learned crypto is important to hold.
do not put eggs in one box select coins, potentially like the top 10 coins, reduce the risk of loss.
That is what I am taking in my heart when I am trading. My friends says the same thing about the behavior when trading. OP has a point about following your own mind because in the end the decision falls back to you whether you want to do it or not.
3565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something still has to be done about transaction fees! on: October 30, 2020, 01:47:20 AM
The huge fee is really an obstacle.  What sets Bitcoin apart from other commodities is the low fees.  Normal fees are not really acceptable.  It must continue to transfer with a low fee.  These high fees can be annoying when everything is going well.
I have to disagree on this one, if you put yourself on the mediums that handle the transactions, I think that it is justified that they get a fee for the services. The reason that they increase their is because they are just matching their original prices with the current market fluctuation.
3566  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Maging mapagmatyag at maingat on: October 29, 2020, 01:46:39 PM

Spread the words lang ika nga.
3567  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the Digital Yuan makes China even more powerful? on: October 29, 2020, 11:45:09 AM
It'll increase their control over their own citizens and economy so I guess in theory they'll be making more money. Internationally I can't see many nations or investors wanting to adopt something that remains under full Chinese control at all times. A flick of a switch and off your money goes.
If they ever pass the testing phase, digital yuan will be another shackle for its people. I think the only economic benefit of this digitized nation's currency is the process that the currency has to go through, meaning that they do not need to go through the bank instead it goes straight into the individual's digital wallet. I think all digital currency will be gone when everything goes south, like a total damage to electric grids around the world.
3568  Economy / Economics / Re: Better Days ahead for the economy of developing countries in Africa on: October 29, 2020, 11:16:05 AM
May the prosperity go on for the African continent, they are an untouched haven of natural resources and I think that they deserve to use that to boost their economy, I also hope that countries in Africa create a union to fight the terrorism brought by wars in some of their countries, especially South Sudan. If Africa is not rife with this famine, wars and capitalistic exploitation, it will be a prosperous continent like Europe, Australia and part of American continent. Hopefully, more project that helps African continent is launched to help the people, especially in terms of welfare, health and education.
3569  Other / Archival / Re: European institutional investors are interested in cryptocurrencies on: October 29, 2020, 10:31:13 AM
Isn't it dangerous that they put money on cryptocurrency for their managed funds? From what I know of, manage funds means that this is a pool of investments from different people. The problem with cryptocurrency is that it is volatile and for fund managers putting other's money is risky in my opinion. I might have misunderstood the managed funds mentioned and this statement will not hold true if it is individual investors because it is their money in which case, they are free what they can do about their own money, and just be mindful of the volatility that cryptocurrency inherently possess.
3570  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM Alert] 50,000 BNB Fake Community Giveaway. on: October 29, 2020, 06:30:13 AM
I do not get this giveaways, why on Earth will you accept the same cryptocurrency you are giving away. This is definitely a scam and this is nothing new but to all the newbies out there, when a giveaway asks you for something, you need to be skeptic because that can be a scam and most of the time it is a scam, even legitimate giveaways are not worth it because you might not be picked for the giveaway.
3571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make your choice now! on: October 29, 2020, 05:53:14 AM
If the time allows them to access the Internet while in the military then that person can do both things without sacrificing the other. Bitcoin that much time, just buy when it is low then wait for it to grow or wait for it to dip again to buy more. The choice is pretty irrelevant in my opinion because as I said Bitcoin is not that time consuming.
3572  Economy / Economics / Re: new central banks currenicies vs fiat currency? on: October 29, 2020, 03:24:30 AM
CBDCs won't make Bitcoin and Ethereum obsolete. Bitcoin and Ethereum were not experiments created for the eventual unfolding and issuance of government-issued digital currencies. On the contrary, CBDCs are to be issued as a sort of response to the current monetary system being disrupted to a certain extent by the rising popularity of Bitcoin.

There's a lot of wrong with fiat, but worry not it won't change much with CBDCs. Cash works but it means little opportunity for the government to monitor its use. A digital version of it would make everything smoother for them. But the change would certainly be gradual.

As for its value, transparency, control, and so on, they are all the same with the old fiat. Government's digital currencies are fiat currencies.
CBDC is not the villain as everyone might paint it. CBDC is a way to make the circulation of money through the economy much faster because they do not need to go through mediums like banks, the purpose of it was not to compete with cryptocurrency but to help stimulate the economy without inflating the value of fiat currency. I can agree that fiat has a lot of problem, but there is something more problematic than that that prevents cryptocurrency adoption in massive scale, and that is cryptocurrency's volatility.
3573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card Counting in Blackjack on: October 29, 2020, 02:47:09 AM
It totally depends on whether you are watching a live dealer or simply at the mercy of an automated algorithm. If it's a live dealer, you could theoretically do card counting if you know the amount of decks involved and the shuffling mechanism allows it. There is absolutely no point in trying to beat the casino if it is a computer based random number generator because it will be manipulated to take away any possible advantage the player might get. Online casinos, like physical locations, are around to make profit for the owners - so they will take every step they can to ensure that happens.
I have done some reading about statistics of winning with card counting in live dealer versus pure online. No doubt that you can do it in live dealer compared to online where the time you spent is not worth the profit because it is very low. Plus you really need to be skilled in card counting and not just occasional player to pull off those statistics.
3574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: October 29, 2020, 02:06:27 AM
I am not a risk-taker, so I choose single bets. Multi bets can give a big win if you win, but it could give you a big loss if you lose. But I won't say that a single bet can't give you a big loss because if you place the high odds and lose, your loss will be bigger. But if you can predict many events and know which teams that have a chance to win, you can try with multi bets with various bets amount. Perhaps, you can experiment by yourself to find out which will work well for you, whether it's single bets or multi bets because I think we have our selection based on our knowledge.
If you do the math, multi bets are the biggest contributor in profit of sports betting or any other gambling games that allow multiple bets. The chances of winning is the same as single bets, yes the profit is low in singles but it is better because you will not lose big time with single bet.

If you bet 10 and your bet lost, you lose 10 which is not much if you are an avid gambler, but if you bet 10 on 3 games and 1 of them lost, you win 20 but you bet 30 which means that the only way you can get a decent profit is by winning all the 3 bets. I like to think of multiple betting as a speedrun into losing your money.
3575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless gaming now available in land-based casino in USA on: October 29, 2020, 01:22:00 AM
People have another option to use digital wallets and not paper money to convert their chips in the casino. There is a possibility for the cryptocurrency to be accepted as the payment system, but the casino needs to integrate it with blockchain technology. But I think that will need more time to wait and see the crypto used in many casinos. Perhaps, we can still play online gambling if we can't find a land-based casino that accepts cryptocurrency because we are comfortable playing gambling using crypto.
Crypto integration in casinos will surely take some time, if the volatility of cryptocurrency is still high. This is just another strategy of casinos to make the players spend more because they do not physically see their cash getting exchanged for chips, the chances of spending more than what is intended is higher when it was not cashless.
3576  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong nangyari? on: October 28, 2020, 09:42:53 AM
In the end, it is far from our control kung wala talagang interesting na crypto-related events sa bansa edi wala. Pinaka angkop na solusyon for now is dumami yung translators natin sa local board.
Mas matagal na sila sa platform kesa sa akin, I am still learning something new.
3577  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong nangyari? on: October 28, 2020, 08:22:15 AM
3578  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Ano ang IWE? on: October 28, 2020, 07:31:44 AM
For sure boss scam ito.
3579  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong nangyari? on: October 28, 2020, 05:33:21 AM
3 lang ang Source sa pagkakaalam ko,

Ako na nag apply,
Dabs na Dating Mod
Mr. Big Global Mod

3580  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: October 28, 2020, 04:24:23 AM
For the title it is not pandemic that push the world to digital age but the world was already operating as digital age before covid-19. We are in the digital age already, the pandemic because one of its factors of prevention is to avoid physical contact which fiat was found to be contractor, therefore cryptocurrency became the safe heaven for use
The virus locked us out of our home, they did technically push us in innovating further in digital age. A lot of people appreciated the beauty and convenience of online transactions and in the long run more people will be supporting progress rather than conservative technologies.
