Here is a thing I do.
If I know someone (we are talking about a post history and previous discussions with that guy/girl) I can easily give merit to his quality post as I don't really need to check if his posts are genuine and not plagiarism. Often those people have proven themselves, so there is nothing to worry about but also they get a lot more merit then others as they produce more valuable content.
If I see a good post from someone that I don't know or at least don't remember, I check first his post history, then his merit history (if any) and then if there is nothing specious or it's not a total shisposter I give him a merit. If the post stands out from his other posts I do check for plagiarism tho.
Keep in mind that there's always some exceptions from the rules as often there are other factors playing a big role while meriting someone.

From time to time , i come across low quality legendaries or Hero members which suprises me but those are putting few sentences together, this one cant even do that,he is a special specimen.
Those post should be deleted and my view is that he should be banned for posting for some time as a warning.

I used to remember people would post accomplishments in Off-Topic, and most people were OK with it, and would congratulate the users on it.
For example:
"I got to 1000 posts"
I've done this too when I reached Full Member just to encourage the newbies that is was possible to rank up. That time there were no more than 30 merit sources and it wasn't that easy to rank up. Now things are different, it's still a challenge but people are more willing to give merit . |

The USD is no longer a currency, for the same reason that bitcoin is not a currency, It's not a unit of measure.
So, the question becomes why are we able to make long-term economic calculations with the dollar and not bitcoin? The answer is simply that we are operating the system off of the legacy of the gold standard. If the dollar were to be introduced in a similar manner as bitcoin without the legacy of an objective definition/standard, it too would have massive stability issues and would not be capable of pricing long-term economic projects. The fact that the dollar is not currently a currency should be concerning.
The next major reason that bitcoin is not and can not be a currency is that it has a predetermined hard limit of around 21 million. Units of measure must have an elastic supply without any arbitrary limits. There is not a hard limit to the number of inches, pounds, hours etc. and there can not be a hard limit to the unit of measure for value either. If we wanted to create all value units in advance and keep the definition a constant we would have to know all of the value man is capable of creating, in the same way that if we wanted to create all of the units for the measure of length in advance we would have to know all of the length we might need to quantify in advance, both are unknowable.
The final reason that bitcoin is not a currency is that it contains the property it is supposed to represent (value), all units of measure with the exception of the unit of measure for value have evolved to become artifact free, there is literally no there there just words on a piece of paper. Inches contain no length, pounds contain no weight, hours contain no time and currency should contain no value. Science has proven that units of measurement should not contain the properties they represent.
Which brings us to the difference between money and currency. Money is the most traded of commodities, contains socially objective value, and is used as a unit of measure, (examples would be gold, silver, salt, oil, water, paper notes). Currency is strictly a representation of value (examples would be coupons, airline miles, business to business barter credits, digital USD balances). Money is the inchworm (contains length and represents length), Currency is the inch ( a pure representation). We no longer use money in the same way that we no longer use the inchworm. In the same way inches have much greater accuracy and utility than inch worms, currency has much greater accuracy and utility than money.
In conclusion, the way to create a true digital currency is to first define it in socially objective terms, second is to remove the limits and let the unit have an elastic supply and lastly to ensure that the unit does not contain socially objective value and is solely a pure representation.

So if you copy from the other source is OK, only if you copy form the user is plagiarism?? You don't know how things work here, right? If you copy it from someone, no matter who ( even if your mom posted it yesterday) and post it as your text, this is plagiarism. If you don't use quotes or post a link to the source and you present the text as your own work, is plagiarism. The penalty is permaban and it is irreversible. Some will say, make a new account and start all over again. NO! The bans are personal and if you do this you gonna break another rule ( ban evading is forbidden).. Just give up. |

You can check one thing, Go to this page and compare the address there with the address you send coins to. If there is no difference in the addresses then you have successfully purchased a copper membership the only thing left is to activate it on your profile, as TryNinja said, just follow the instructions on the page. If the addresses do not match then you have been scammed. Every account have a unique address to send the payment to which doesn't change with the time. |

Nice catch, can't believe people don't know how valuable is Legendary account since it could bring you money above monthly salary if you join signature campaign or average income (yearly) if you sold the account in some 3rd world/developing country. Just post plagiarism problem on Report plagiarism (copy/pasting) here. Calling for Mod action: please permban (since moderator visit there) and report the post with comment "Plagiarism, more info <your post link>" I have done this, and the report was marked as good, but the account is not banned. |

There is not way to increase the amount of money in the account quickly without the risk of loosing everything especially if you are newbie and you don't know what you are doing.
I'm not expert but If I decide to go for investing, I'll do a profound research where and what to buy. Huge percent of the projects out there are scams so you never know if you are on the right side. You have to take in consideration that those money you invest could be lost and be sure that you can afford it.
