3581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 19, 2021, 02:05:41 PM
Ronaldo is consolation and the factor that is covering Ole's poor tactics for Manchester United. West ham has played really well in the first half, and they are likely to score in the second because the defence on the Manchester United side is not as efficient as the attack with CR7. If they can score a goal before Ronaldo or any other attacker scores for Manchester United and then try to defend really well, they can win this.
3582  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Continuously Loosing money in Trading!!!! on: September 19, 2021, 11:28:52 AM
I recently made a post on "how many consecutive losses can you handle in trading, before you accept that your strategy is no longer working?",
 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5354911.msg57711872#msg57711872

Some said two, others three, some four etc. In your situation from OP, it seems you have been on a very long loosing streak, in your heart, you don't need a prophet to tell you  you need to take a break from trading and re-examine your strategy.

While re-examining your strategy, try to single out the reason/reasons why your strategy started failing, and then start making changes from there. Don't be in a hurry to start trading again, take your time to absorb and observe your new strategy without entering a trade, the market is going no where. If you hurry back, you hurry back to loosing.
3583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 18, 2021, 04:46:55 PM
A master-class free kick from Martin Odegaard. He has been excellent in the game so far, his passes so complete and visionary. Arsenal have been well in the first half even though Burnley are so defensive ...

Although the game ended in favour of arsenal, our second win for the season, I'm still not convinced and satisfied with arsenal's play yet. Our midfield still doesn't look it yet, with bigger and more experience teams, i don't believe we still stand a chance. Maybe a winning streak will get players morale up and maybe we can get in top four, i know it will be difficult this season but you can never predict the premier League.
3584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Underage gambling is an epidemic on: September 18, 2021, 02:25:20 PM
So if you have a problem with gambling, such as addiction, gambling underage, or in my case both, please seek help. Do everything in your power to stop. It will improve your life drastically. So next time you think about gambling, instead of gambling, call an old friend and catch up, or go outside and go for a nice walk.

It's a good thing that you have quit according to you, i hope it is able to stay that way without relapsing and you are able to replace the thrill or satisfaction that you derived from gambling with another activity.

Gambling at 14 is really dangerous, i wonder how you had the finance to fund your gambling. It's really a good thing that you have quit, if not you were already on the journey to financial penury and hardship in life  starting at such an early age.

3585  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What we think is a quality post on: September 18, 2021, 02:59:17 AM
~snip~

The quality of a post is often a subjective thing, because not all people have the same criteria, and I think that is completely normal.

I totally agree with this statement. I usually judge a post as quality based on the level of information/lesson or experience it conveys and how it is conveyed as well. I also like posts and replies that introduces another fresh angle/perspective to a discussion.

This is called a forum, and one of the main aims of any forum is a platform for the exchange of ideas, and perspectives. Any post that engages these aim of a forum is a quality post.

A question that I would like to ask is "Are all quality posts meritable?".

We all know that Plagiarism is a big offensive crime according to the rules and regulations of the forum, and as a new forum user we are permitted to undergo the process of observing the rules at first, it's quite understandable the numbers of accumulated users that enhance to the commitment of Plagiarism or violates the protocols of the forum, eighty eight percent (%88) are (NEWBIES) while the remaining twelve percent (%12) are old members who plagarised article at early stages of joining the community.

Newbies It will be very heart breaking and discouraging to build an account into a good rank and having joined in a good campaign get banned for plagiarism that you commited at the early stages of your account. That's why as much as possible you must try to contribute only original contents and be sure to make proper reference when you are quoting someone. 3588  Economy / Economics / Re: Africa’s crypto market has grown by more than 1,200% since 2020: Chainalysis on: September 17, 2021, 04:14:15 PM
There's a high rate of poverty & economic hardship in Africa, the young, conscious and digital minded have singled out multiple opportunities in the crypto market and are taking full advantage of it.

With the high rate of volatility in the crypto market, most persons have been able to take advantage and improve their standard of living from the good profits they have made from their crypto experience.

3589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Do Young Investors Prefer Cryptocurrencies? on: September 17, 2021, 03:55:32 PM
It has to be it's simplicity and obviously being millennials. Young people find it easy to relate to because they are tech savvy and they find the technology easier to understand and own unlike assets such as gold which have so much paper work  to do before you can own it and by the way you can not get the sense of ownership with other assets , whereas you can get this feeling and satisfaction with cryptocurrencies.

For me too, this basically is the reason, its the digital age and the entire concept behind cryptocurrency (digital money) appeals to this digital age and young people who have been empowered by the internet.

Also formerly when we hear of investments, it always pointed towards buying stocks and shares from companies, real estate, gold and all that, they are all nice, but sometimes require a very huge capital to start, plus the wait period is also an issue to get good ROI on investment. Right now with cryptocurrency which is easy to understand by young investors, theres an opportunity for investment with very promising ROI, so a lot of young investors will definitely prefer it.
3590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: G A M B L E R S ❗❗ What are your thoughts on this? on: September 17, 2021, 05:50:59 AM
2. Casino B:
Players in this casino compete against each others in games such as Ludo, Poker, Rummy, etc... .
In this type of casino, players rely on their luck and skills to make a profit.

I'll go with option B, because in playing with people, i have a certain level of assurance in my heart that the game is a fair game where the luckiest and most skillful amongst the contestants wins. Also knowing that an individual like me who maybe needs the earnings from the gamble more than i do has won it, rather than the house that has won alot of people's money will console me.
3591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think I have a gambling problem on: September 17, 2021, 05:06:40 AM
... But I think my gambling might get me in trouble, im not even 18 (4 years away from it) yet and its almost all I think about sometimes. Do you guys think I should make an effort to quit?
Thoughts are powerful, and they are often times transformed into reality. If you have started having thoughts that your gambling will get you in trouble because you are underaged, be very sure that soon enough it will, and you better try to quit either by self or group help.

Another good reason to stop is, habits that you get/develop at a very young age sometimes become lifelong problems. You should do your best to quit or put under check before this becomes a lifelong problem for you.
3592  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do we see a future where Crypto would be globally accepted as a common means of on: September 17, 2021, 04:50:23 AM
Widespread acceptance of cryptocurrency as a means of transaction is one of the major goals that Satoshi had in mind when he was creating the very first cryptocurrency, which is bitcoin. If i do not believe this ideology from Satoshi, there's nothing i am doing with bitcoins. The growth curve of bitcoin is definitely from "no acceptance" to "little acceptance" to "widespread acceptance" which the future will definitely bring.
3593  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if I don't know how to trade on: September 16, 2021, 06:56:38 PM

Are you going into trading for the money or for the knowledge?
...
Get the skill before going for the money.

Is there really anyone who just wanted to learn to trade for just knowledge sake alone?
The thought that a skill has the capacity to give you money should be motivation enough to drive you the interested person to want to learn well and more about it. For trading, the more substantial knowledge you can gather, the better your chances of making good profit from it.
3594  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [scalpers] Don't just join a moving train on: September 16, 2021, 05:32:01 AM
Scalping is good, but for the likes of me that handles a lot of things daily, you may get distracted if you scalp and forget to close your trade, and since OP says he has noticed that most scalpers do not set stop losses, if you fall into that category, it might not be a good day for you as you will run into losses.

I do my trading with targets daily, it is better for me.
3595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin go high the poor will not participate on: September 16, 2021, 05:05:01 AM
I am thinking that if the bitcoin continue to go up to $100,000 and above.  it will be expensive for the poor people to invest. It will be for only rich people. It will be better for bitcoin will not go so much high so that it will be affordable to everybody to invest and have profit.

It's no big deal if you can't afford to invest in bitcoin, Bitcoin investment is not for everybody, if the price gets too high and it becomes difficult to invest in, there is the option of investing in other cryptocurrencies as there are also ample opportunities there as well. I believe a massive growth in the value of bitcoin will come as a result of widespread popularity and acceptance, the effect of the this will definitely be felt by other cryptocurrencies as well as more people will become aware of them.
3596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dollar supporters destroy Bitcoin ATM in El Salvador on: September 16, 2021, 04:56:10 AM
Astounded by the amazing success of Bitcoin implementation in El Salvador, anti-social elements sponsored by the USD lobby have started vandalizing and destroying the Bitcoin ATMs installed by the government. The Bitcoin implementation has proceeded relatively smoothly and this has angered those who were expecting it to fail. I don't expect them to stop with this. The next step may be rioters beating up anyone who is using Bitcoin and vandalizing shops that accept BTC as a payment mode.

Very heartbreaking, and a show that many El Salvadorians are still very misinformed/ignorant  about the new development the president is pushing, because if they did really understand why the country is trying to dump the USD and how this development can advance the entire country, i think they will have a rethink of these kind of attitude of retarding development.
I attribute this sort of behaviour to ignorance and misinformation.

It may also be the case of a few elites in the society who are not happy with the president on this and have started to engineer destruction and instigate violence.
3597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: September 15, 2021, 09:11:52 PM
It's very unbelievable that a team with the calibre of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe has cut my betting slip tonight. From today's game, it is obvious to me that the combination of the trio Messi, Neymar and Mbappe  are not there yet. The big question i am asking myself is, will this team be able to find the chemistry on the field of play on time before they are knocked out of UCL?
3598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: September 14, 2021, 09:05:04 PM
The young Boys team is not young, they are experienced enough. They are proving their strength. Although Manchester United was in full control in the first half, the Young Boys showed remarkable performance in the second half. Manchester players are not able to keep the ball in their possession. If there was an experienced striker in the Young Boys team, they would have crushed Manchester United's defense today.

Sad for those who thought Manchester United would win the title this season. In the first match, Manchester United is performing terribly against Young Boys. The match is now a 1-1 draw. Ronaldo scored the first goal in the 13th minute of the first half. I haven't seen any good attack from Manchester United players since the first goal.
...even though they are far from the level of the youngboys game in terms of player quality but here the count is 10 v 11 so it is very difficult even if they are experienced and the player level is far.

During the training sessions, most teams simulate situations on the field of play and practice those sceneries, for instance playing with one or two players less during training. So i see no reason why Manchester United could not still play properly with 10 men considering the quality of players on their side.

In this UCL, i don't see Barcelona as a contender for the first place, it's going to be a while before they can build a team around a new player since Messi is no longer with them.
3599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: September 14, 2021, 07:33:06 PM
Manchester United for doesn't have with it takes to deliver Ronaldo in his pursuit to win the champions league. Manchester lacks team work. Young boys took good advantage of the team. For me it would have been better Ronaldo went to Manchester city

I think Manchester United will still do well with the influence of CR7 on the team, it's obvious to everyone that the coach Ole made a tactical error removing CR7 from play, he underestimated the Young boys team a lot and they had the result to show for it. But the flaws in Manchester United side were evident today, if it were Manchester city with 10 men, Young boys will still feel the heat.

The coach better sit up, he has no excuse not to win the UCL this year.
3600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling awareness for adolescents on: September 13, 2021, 09:15:05 PM
Early sensitisation in the form of awareness can very effective in curbing the increasing number of compulsive gamblers and people with other vices in the society.

Curiosity has driven many people into many things they didn't know that will later be a problem to them especially at an early age. The importance of talking about these things like gambling to adolescent is very important, not just to expose them to it, but to create an atmosphere where they are free and comfortable to verify from you what they hear from their peers and others around.
