3582  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: April 04, 2015, 06:40:57 AM
Alright, so what's the next step?  Is there page with more info regarding the card?  When do we provide you the shipping address?

IMHO you should ask these questions in their ANN thread.

You can grab the card from bit-x representatives (for example me) or by expressing your interest to card@bit-x.com

Shipping has started, just express your interest and you will be guided through the ordering process. If you are verified, your limits are much higher (even unlimited in some cases) than with no verification. If you were verified before April 1 or were part of the signature campaign and you order the card you won't be charged the 0.05BTC issuance fee.

Please visit https://card.bit-x.com for more information.
3583  Economy / Services / Re: (This is Urgent) I NEED SOMEONE on: April 04, 2015, 06:39:30 AM
Are you referring to http://www.gomezpeerzone.com/? The JAVA client? You want to use your CPU/GPU? If it is yes for all, what is the problem? JAVA clients are usually easy to install/use especially if you use Windows.

P.S. Which OS is in your VPS?
3584  Economy / Services / Hiring a person who is familiar with Bitcoind, Zero-fee transaction & compiling. on: April 04, 2015, 06:22:22 AM
Hello,

I am hiring a person who is familiar with Bitcoind & Zero-fee transaction. You will need to compile and install counterpartyd and create a transaction for me. My internet is slow atm, so I can't download counterpartyd.

Counterparty: https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/

Please post here instead of sending a PM. Thank you!

3588  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.04 BTC loan needed [ accunt as collateral ] on: March 29, 2015, 11:18:11 AM
Its already done dear, why you did not gave him a negative trust when he scammed you lol,
Let's see will he repay me or not, if he will not then I have his account which I will sell, if its possible.

I believe he will.

A negatively trusted account isn't worth the amouny you gavw but you won't have a total loss.
3589  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.1 LOan for 7 days on: March 29, 2015, 10:39:23 AM
Can you please sign message with address and also can you PM me the reason and how you are going to repay?
3590  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.1 LOan for 7 days on: March 29, 2015, 09:28:25 AM
He also doesn't request interest at all, but he does accept tips.

Off original topic, but it appears to have resolved itself...

Receiving money (tips) for offering a loan is called interest.  He's still charging interest, but only to people who choose to pay it.

It's the same as those big box stores.  They offer you a no interest loan, but charge you $50 to apply for it.   Interest is the cost of borrowing money - that $50 payment is interest no matter what they call it.

If you make a big enough fuss, you can get them to remove the $50 fee, same as he won't take your tip if you don't offer it.

There is a misunderstanding here.

Meaning of interest:

"Money paid regularly at a particular rate for the use of money lent, or for delaying the repayment of a debt" ~ Google.

For a loan to be considered as repaid, you need to pay the interest but for no-interest loans, repaying the borrowed amount is enough. You don't want to pay a penny more than the amount you borrowed.

Interest is enforced but tips aren't.

The example you gave is charging interest but it is different from this. Smiley

3591  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] BIT-X.com | Exchange BTC, LTC, USD, EUR, GBP | Instantly Mine & Trade GH/s on: March 29, 2015, 09:15:45 AM
The BIT-X MasterCard specifications are as follows (click on the images for larger versions):

[ img height=200 width=500]https://i.imgur.com/sdJefkr.png[/img]

[ img height=200 width=500]https://i.imgur.com/3n263UF.png[/img]

The 0.05BTC setup fee is waived for all clients who complete basic verification prior to April 1, 2015.

POS (Point of Sale) Transactions - In-shop or online payments.
Exchange Rate Fee from BTC/LTC to USD/EUR/GBP - Conversion fee at the time of card use from your BTC or LTC balance to USD, EUR or GBP for a payment or a withdrawal.
Exchange Rate Fee from USD/EUR/GBP to Different Currency - Conversion fee (MasterCard commission) if you pay for an item or initiate an ATM withdrawal in a currency other than USD, EUR or GBP.

Fees are subject to change. If they do, all users will be notified appropriately and well in advance.

The card will be available for purchase in early April, 2015.

BIT-X.com

IMHO you should lower 'Inactive monthly fee' and 'ATM withdrawal fee'. Other all seems fair to me. Smiley

Edit: Re-quoting as a minor update was done (P.S. Re-quoted as BIT-X messaged me):

Edited.

3593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Generating addresses on: March 29, 2015, 09:00:37 AM
Vanity address will help but it wont come close to being entire address. If you look at http://bitcoinvanitygen.com/ they only go to 9 and it get's expensive.

I would suggest making some cards with public address, maybe a QR code of it easy to scan.     Again all of that is public don't carry your private key on you.

I never recommend using an online vanitygen if they don't offer split-key generation.

First letter will always be '1' for a vanity address because it can't create multisig address now. So you don't need to remember it. So next 6-8 letters will be related to a word you won't forget. So now you already know first 7-9 letters. Remaining 10-12 letter can be studies easily like you study a phone number.

Vanity address also contain the word you want in middle or at the end of the address but creating one which have the word at first is recommended for easy_remembering.

However, to reduce the hassle, I suggested to use 'Firstbits'. It will help you to remember the address easily.
3594  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Google Authenticator for Gmail, Coinbase and Blockchain Question for Iphone on: March 29, 2015, 08:53:46 AM
Can't you disable 2FA in your accounts? You should do it and re-enable it. Contact support if you were unable to disable it.

I also suggest the OP (if I can write this post) to save a copy of the qr-code or the code that the site gives you before you enable the 2FA. This can prevent any sort of problem, if you will lose your telephone or delete (wrongly) the app.

+10. I also suggest to download (future) codes. Some sites offer it. So you can use it to recover when you loose your phone. It will work regardless of the timezone.
3595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Generating addresses on: March 29, 2015, 05:35:31 AM
Please show me how to create a Bitcoin address that it's easy to remember

Thanks !

1) Develop your memory power.
2) Create a vanity address.
3) Study it.

Alternatively, you can use a website such as Goocha to memorize an address - Firstbits.

superiorus bought the script and I escrowed the deal. Everything went smoothly.

I checked the script and it isn't copy-paste/modification of free script AFAIK. The script is good and he gave me one for free as a token of "thanks".

Now that i'm in the sig campaign, I could pay you back. That's why I put it for the 2nd tuesday of this month to make the money back.

3600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Multi-owner wallet on: March 29, 2015, 05:22:21 AM
And how do they sign the transactions?

Like normal addresses. Assume there are 6 staff and you need at-least 5 staff to approve the transaction. You create a 5-of-6 multisig address. This is how you create a transaction:

#1: Staff-1 create a transaction and sign it with his/her key.
#2: Staff-1 sends that signed transaction to Staff-2.
#3: Staff-2 signs it with his/her key and sends the signed transaction to Staff-3.
#4: Staff-3 signs it with his/her key and sends the signed transaction to Staff-4.
#5: Staff-4 signs it with his/her key and sends the signed transaction to Staff-5.
#6: Staff-5 signs it with his/her key.
#7: Staff-5 broadcast/push the transaction.

If you want all(six) staffs to approve the transaction, then you create a 6-of-6 multisig address. If you do, there will be a slight change in steps.

#6: Staff-5 signs it with his/her key and sends the signed transaction to Staff-6.
#6: Staff-6 signs it with his/her key.
#7: Staff-6 broadcast/push the transaction.
