3581  Other / Meta / Re: How about locking some ANN threads that are from proven scammers? on: January 23, 2021, 02:51:14 PM
With constant talking about Adkinsbet you are giving them more advertisement then they are doing themselves
And 1xBit, guilty to bring the examples.

Yes, there are rules but I do not see anything bad on locking this kind of scammers ANN topic too. I am can recall correctly one of the tread of BitDice were locked for some reason, not the reason we are talking here obviously.

Few users are talking about the red warning. I get it - but I am pretty much sure from my experience that when you are in an unknown forum, never heard of it before then you will not realize how much weight those warnings will have in your mind.
3582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Grayscale trust update rumor on: January 23, 2021, 02:33:30 PM
I have received notification from Kucoin yesterday that Grayscale have added this but not yet confirmed.
Quote
The filings were not made by Grayscale itself, but by Delaware Trust Company, which is listed as the firm's "statutory trustee" for the U.S. state in Grayscale documentation.
I do not see any reason not to understand this simple statement.
Quote
The filings were not made by Grayscale itself, but by Delaware Trust Company,
This means this has not come from their company. There is nothing hard to understand.

Quote
"Grayscale is always looking for opportunities to offer products that meet investor demands. Occasionally, we will make reservation filings, though a filing does not mean we will bring a product to market. Grayscale has and will continue to announce when new products are made available to investors," the company told CoinDesk via email.
Every investment firm will look for investment opportunity but that does not mean that they will get into anything they see or talk about. The response seems very standard practice in the corporate world. You deny nothing accept nothing.

My conclusion is that this is a rumor and we are overhyping the rumor.

3584  Other / Meta / How about locking some ANN threads that are from proven scammers? on: January 22, 2021, 05:23:41 PM
The forum do not moderate scam, we all get that. But what if a proven scam service have an ANN thread which have shameless shills and shilling the thread continuously. Also all the clients are posting their sufferings and those shills are shilling high again in the same thread.

The thread is getting search engine exposure and people who do not have knowledge (do not understand the meaning of the red mark above the topic) how this forum works may find it in google search and join the scam site and lose the money.

Example ANNs:
🏆⚽ Adkinsbet.com | Sports | In-Play | ESports | Racebook | Virtual Sports | ⚽🏆
1XBIT.COM ᐉ Bet online ᐉ BTC Betting ᐉ Online betting odds
There could be more fake services. Please feel free to post them in you replies.

There are no doubt that these guys are proven scammers but if you look at their ANNs then you will see they are using it as a tool for their traffic source.

For example, I was reading user AdkinsBET's post history to see what updates they have about the recent scam accusations and discovered in their ANN that still there are users who are defending them and making nonsense posts like followings.

@oz.kashi
Where is your proof about your accusation? You are writing that they place bets for you, but everybody can write that after they lost their money.
It seems to be a poor attempt trying to get your money back which you gambled. We saw this more times by user. After your accusation, another user took the same idea and accused Adkinsbet for the same issue suddenly, 4 weeks after his bet was lost. You are bringing people on wrong ideas with such false claims.

Problem is, his nonsense post may mislead a new inexperience user to join this type of scam sites.

What if mods lock these kinds of topics?
And any other advertising active topics that will come from proven scammers.
3585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Grayscale trust update rumor on: January 22, 2021, 04:59:43 PM
Did they retweet the tweet?
Or did they have an official tweet from their twitter?

Do they have any update in their website or any other official social handle they have? Check their official updates if nothing there about it then possibly it's a News (fake).

You can try their customer service too.

If this is the Twitter account who posted the image then this is just a tweet from a random Twitter account. I would not give any credibility to this Twitter account.
3586  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] 1xbit.com withdrawal blocked (0.97 BTC locked) on: January 19, 2021, 04:02:06 PM
Haven't you see their trust page?

Sign from the bitcoin address that was used to deposit fund in 1xbit.com and also the txID.

Create a flag type 2 or 3 and post the link of the flag.

I still wonder how 1xbit hasn't got a red flag yet.

Edit:
Can anyone help me find all the accounts that 1xBet has on the forum?
I have this so far: 1xBit.com

All the accounts need to be flagged red and should have tag.
3587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 3 things to check before joining a crypto bookie (KYC, Provider, Reserve) on: January 19, 2021, 03:44:51 PM
Could you mention where such information is usually available
I have not seen any bookie to have this information on their site. Maybe you can individually ask them through their support or if they have a ANN thread on the forum.

I remember when I was dealing with a case against sportsbet.io, Steve was saying some third-party KYC providers (after googling I learnt about them, I can not remember them now though). Maybe once you have a name then contact those KYC providers and ask about the Casino.

Regarding the reserved fund, you can simply ask them to sign a bitcoin address that is holding a large amount of BTC for their business. If you are here to business in Bitcoin then accept the bitcoin ideology. A business is not personal. Cloudbet or some other bookie was once questioned, and they did not have any problem to prove their reserved.

I would completely agree with this if the team is completely anonymous but would it make any difference if they are licensed? I mean there are still certain standards that they have to comply with even if they got it from Curacao or from more shady license providers. They are also covered by the GDPR am I correct?
I have no idea how these licence providers work, never really dealt with them to judge their service. My experiences are limited to involve in scam accusations against the bookies only on this forum.

If you we consider the common TOS the bookies have - most of them are just plain BS and there for to protect the bookies only. As a punter a client always at risk to lose money when bookies have bad intentions.

Besides, I see a crypto bookie should not have a centralized authority, what's the point of those licence providers when they only can suspend (I guess) your licence if you turn out to be shady. I do not think many punters seek aid from the court too. Have you seen many cases that were in the court. A bookie should grow up by the reputation they have in the crypto community if they are a crypto bookie. Most of all, they need to be transparent to the community. In bitcoin, we verify don't trust.

4. Check scam accusations against a bookie and how they respond to it.
Good one. I will add in the reserved post.

This topic is not about AdkinsBET however, AdkinsBET has used only for referencing since the experience was earned by dealing some cases against them and some cases against other sportsbooks on the forum.

The recent experiences of observing and dealing some cases against AdkinsBET.com (random proven cases: 1, 2, 3 etc and  a discussions about their reputation) should teach us some lessons.

Before joining and depositing a large amount and bet high with the hope of winning big on a new gambling site, check:
(Soft reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5309454.msg56125594#msg56125594)

1. Who does KYC for the bookie?
Every single bookie will ask for KYC if you win Big. So do not get very excited after seeing any clause that stats that they do not have KYC. So prepare yourself to be KYCed at any stage, but it is important to know their KYC providers/verifiers.

If this is an in-house team instead of any reputed third-party KYC verifier then do not submit your personal documents. Do not trust a casino who just popped up without having years of fairly clear experience. Your personal details are not safe with them. They can use your personal details against you in anything.

So, only give your personal details if a reputed third-party KYC provider is working with them otherwise move on.

2. Who are their game providers?
It is important to know the game providers. The provider of 1xBet are really shady if I am not wrong. I am not sure if adkisbet has the same provider. There are people who know 1xBet providers. I would suggest people who know well about providers to mark the shady providers. I will update them in this post. Hopefully this will help many people in their researches and save them getting scammed by a shady sportbookie/casino.

3. Know how much money they have in reserve to run the gambling business.
A casino should have a large reserve of bitcoin so that they can pay any high winnings and run the business smoothly. In the case of AdkinsBET, some of us are pretty convinced that they do not have money to pay their clients.

I am considering all these for a crypto bookie, if you are with a fiat bookie then verifying #3 is out of scope.

Spend some time in the above references also the references left in the feedback left for AdkinsBET. This may help you to not get scammed by a bookie who has not established them yet in the community.

Self moderated topic to prevent the following users and users who have similar posting habits. These users have no value to provide but blatantly defend the casinos they like or get paid for or whatever reasons they have.

3590  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Adkinsbet.com PURE SCAM! on: January 19, 2021, 01:41:20 PM
Askgamblers and some other sites a very popular, and they handle scam accusations. Those who got scammed by adkinsbet should write on Askgamblers too. There is another one which I can not remember they also deal with accusations against bookies.

With bitcointalk I am pretty sure adkinsbet are done. They know very well that after all these, they have very little chances to restore the reputation. So there are no pressure for them if they accept this fact already.
3591  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM!!! AdkinsBet scammed me for amount of 196 mBTC in completely blatant way on: January 18, 2021, 12:27:40 PM
Do yourself a favor and read up on the Trust system. Threats/blackmail/extortion/bribes usually don't turn out very well, and my feedback sure as hell isn't for sale.
You are giving them another chance to come up with another excuse. I believe they are not too dumb to think that we are not bunches of fools. They are trying their last bit in my opinion which obviously will not work from my side too.
3592  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: adkinsbet.com scam 0.555 BTC! help! on: January 18, 2021, 12:21:08 PM
Assuming malice, the casino would probably exit scam on the 20th when the game ends.
At this point AdkinsBET is preparing an exit scam and I too have this thinking in mind. Considering they decided to pay realscout 5 mBTC a week and placing bet's from oz.kashi account. They can't be so dumb to think that we all are not bunches of fools that we can not sense right and wrong.

I am also having a feeling that they do not have enough funds to run a gambling business to which led me to ask my third question, in this post.

If we consider AdkinsBET is preparing the exit scam (we will wait) then perhaps these cases will be closed and the accusers will lose their money unfortunately.

Question raise:

What will we do with the users who were blatantly supporting AskinsBET shady behaviour and helped them to exit scam? There are users who gone too far in their support to defend the shady activities in public.
Some of them are here not all:
MI6, BlackFor3st, BTCGOLD, yayayo, VanityWallets2015, gadado, wildan88, BitcoinAccepted and more.

Some of these accounts were accused to be game-protect's alt but obviously without solid proof we can not take any action against them in this matter.

But, what should be done if these same group of users will do the same when another shady gambling site will pop up to scam users again? The same people behind adkinsbet may come up with another brand name and the same group of users may defend their shady activities, we will never know.

Shall we do not do anything against these shady defenders even after knowing their bad wills and considering that people has their freedom of opinion? Fact is, many of the posts from them were not opinions but a clear attempt to harass anyone who speaks against adkinsbet to defend adkinsbet's shady activities.

Sorry about this off-topic part oz.kashi. If anyone wants to create a topic in the reputation section then feel free to do so, I am too busy to do that right now.

Anyway, I would like to hear community opinion in this matter.
3593  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM!!! AdkinsBet scammed me for amount of 196 mBTC in completely blatant way on: January 18, 2021, 11:19:14 AM
Who is your provider?
Another question, who do the KYC for you?
I asked the above two questions (let's give them number, 1 and 2) before and no answer from adkinsbet yet.

Now when I read the following (the bold part) :
We will release his deposit from 37 mBTC in installments from 5 mBTC weekly.
I add another question.
3. Can you sign a message with a bitcoin address that has a convincing amount of bitcoin to run your gambling business?
For example, once cloudbet or another sportbook was asked to sign a message with bitcoin holding for their business and they were able to sign an address holding 300+ BTC if my memory is correct.

Quote
This will be done to prevent that DT users keep the card active. If DT members could remove their vote on the red card then we will start with the first payment of 5 mBTC.
None of your moves were correct so far and this adds another one. To bad for your reputation and business if you still are considering to run the business.

3597  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportsbet.io fake slot RTP(0.356BTC loss) on: January 17, 2021, 10:59:19 AM
I have no idea what is RTP?
Return To Player
Thanks. Yes I get that part, but the whole thing is not clear to me to be honest.

Quote
For example:

If a game has a stated RTP of 92%, it generally means players can expect the game to return £0.92 in the £1.00 (or currency equivalent) over a long period of plays.

source
This means in the long run I am always losing 8% and the casino is gaining.

Why would I even play those slots in the first place :-P

Anyway, now question - is there any industry standard or a casino can set their own RTP and if they set their own RTP then do they show it in their terms and conditions or keep it hidden.

The entire concept is new to me, honestly speaking I never dealt or thought of such things even to exist. So, it's taking time for me to understand the entire case. Anyway let's hear something for the bookie itself.

Customer screenshot is incorrect. Has been edited. Players are responsible for their own bets.
If you are 100% sure we changed your bet, why would you then deposit again on our site after that?

ToS have been violated after the activity on his 2nd deposit(usage of VPN). We decide to refund the deposit from the 2nd deposit (37 mBTC).
The player has been contacted also on his Email. After this, we consider the case solved.
Why it's obvious that everything you are trying to avoid the bet that was place in the match of Ruberta Carballes - Raberta Ortega to make it lose or void so that nothing goes further from this bet?

To sum up what we have:
1. Attemp to accuse in multiaccounting
2. Attempt to connect to some 'group of cheaters'
3. Switching the bet
4. Voiding the bet becaue odds was 'wrong' and false statement about broken chain
5. Banning for other user's post (here it is btw https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5308700.msg56076019#msg56076019)
You switched the same bet - reason number 3 for OP.
You voided the same bet because odds were wrong - reason number 4
You then said the chain broken or something since the same bet was voided - extension of reason number 4 from OP

So now we have another claim which is use of VPN and again it just to avoid the bet placed on Ruberta Carballes - Raberta Ortega?

How many more reasons we are expecting that are on the way? I do not think many people will even believe any reference that will come from your system like showing IP or such things because you have already done a lot to believe that you are capable to change your database.

Yesterday there was a guy who caught red-handed, and he could avoid it if he would just admit that he wanted to do the scam and apologize that he will never do it again  but instead he gave one after another lie to establish his first lie as a truth. A lie is a lie and a lot of other connections will prove it a lie. It's now obvious that you are doing the same as that user from yesterday.

Who is your provider?
Another question, who do the KYC for you?
