3581  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What are investors looking for before investing in a crypto project these days? on: November 19, 2018, 08:02:19 PM
Of course return of investment is major thing when we talk about commercial business but it's not like "lend" money and wait for interest, it's more like gambling. You may have times when project only loses and loses but if you stand hard, your lose will turn into huge profit. Sometimes you may have to add even more capital.
Creativity plays important role, there are many things, can we offer something new? Because people like and wish to test everything new.
3582  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Royal Escrow legit? on: November 19, 2018, 06:55:11 PM
https://royalescrow.com was set up just after bitcoins were launched and the white paper by Satoshi was issued. Back in 2008 the world had been crippled by the greed of Govts and Wall Street and the idea was to set up a decentralized escrow service which could not be shut down by a single government to achieve that goal, there was no need to buy a license from a Govt or obtain a registered office address to allow regulators to shut us down, fine or jail us for doing nothing more than helping others bypass a corrupt system. Bitcoins are not a regulated currency in most parts of the world and therefore no Govt can control this decentralised currency and we adopted the same strategy. Although lawyers dont like us (we cannot be sued very easily) and our use of banks have to be spread around the globe we have more than a dozen in use. We have never taken coins or money from anyone. We would have been flamed all over the internet if we had. We offer the cheapest service available from ANY escrow. We only charge 0.025% of any transaction (for both buy/sell side). Unlike greedy lawyers and competitors some of whom charge more than 0.5% buy side and 0.5% or more sell side.
Many of you seem to take comfort in your lawyers and law firms. But rest assured that you need to ask them for their license to transact bitcoin deals and see their professional indemnity insurance cover which I greatly doubt covers them for trading in bitcoins. Check with the Law Society (their regulatory body in their legal jurisdiction) to name and ask them for a written confirmation that Law firm X is actually authorised or licensed to conduct bitcoin trades or trading or if they are licensed by their law society to act as escrows of bitcoins or huge amounts of cash which their professional indemnity insurance will fail to cover.

Trusting law firms in such deals is no better than the "emperors new clothes" they provide you with no more security than any third party escrow does - and I am sure they wont pay your fees if something goes wrong and they screw up!

Just to clear the air on a matter that is confusing many would be bitcoin traders.
If you were going to post so much unuseful "information" even if we can call it so, then why don't you want to answer our posts or some of our questions? If your "escrow" is so popular as you claim, there are no reviews or etc available on bitcointalk, not only here but also anywhere. Every company started from this forum, how did you achieve so much "success" without bitcointalk, reddit and no results in google? And on another hand, there is no page of your website available on web.archieve.org (before 2018 of course).
3583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you HODL because you believe the price will go up? Or are you lost too much? on: November 18, 2018, 07:40:44 PM
No, I buy when price hits it's max and hold with the hope to sell it on lowest price, fall makes me happy.
Oh man, c'mon are you kidding? Do you really have so silly questions? We hodl because we have a hope of high price in future and hope of profit. If I bought bitcoin at 1000 and price is 700, I still hodl with that hope to sell in high price, you can't decide 100% accurate moment to buy.
3584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Block Chain going to be the only option for the Gaming industry ? on: November 15, 2018, 08:20:03 PM
All the gamers round the world are these days ending up in playing games like Casino,Poker on the centralized platforms because of the manipulation happening around and so the craze of decentralised gaming is incresing day by day,it's been increasing rapidly that I was just wondering will it become the only option for the scam-free gaming industry? If so when would that happen?
Maybe it will happen in future, maybe - not. I highly doubt slot providers or etc move on it. Btw for card games they use random number generator with certificate of it's fairness. Currently blockchain technologies are going to implemented in more important tasks like land registry and so on because it adds an extra layer of protection to stored information.
3585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP has taken over Ethererum position on Coinmarketcap on: November 15, 2018, 06:50:56 PM
Ripple market volume has bypass Ethereum as Bitcoin and ether price since down further. Bitcoin is still the king and Ripple now the Queen. Ripple seems more lucrative than Ethereum.
Ripple has never been and will never be the cryptocurrency queen. This coin has repeatedly surpassed a bit ethereum in terms of the ethereum capitalization level and each time the ethereum again returned its rightful second place to itself after a short time. It will definitely be this time.
I agree with you, ripple is centralized coin which has massive support from financial institutes but at the same time it's not something that crypto users love, decentralization and privacy is important, ripple has lack of them. Also this position change doesn't mean much, ethereum will come back soon, if it will continue for 1 month, then we can say that ether lost it's game.
3586  Other / Meta / Re: CAN WE HAVE AN ARCHIVE OF QUALITY INFORMATION IN THIS FORUM? on: November 15, 2018, 05:39:06 PM
I can't understand what do you want guys from this forum. Well, let's create another section where only some people can post. Tell me, why do you think they'll post here instead of other sections? Or what will they post? Let's take for example achow101, he is moderator in Tecnical support/discussion sections, does amazing job by answering questions that we have. He knows much, helps us, has his own life too. There are some people like him so let them do what they do, there is no need of doing special sections and etc. You can use search function if you want to find some information on this forum.
3587  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin’s Affect on US Banks Money Laundering on: November 15, 2018, 03:50:56 PM
I would say that bitcoin is really a good thing to launder money but what they say about bitcoin and how they blame it, isn't right. Do they forget that banks are the most widely used for money laundering? They don't like bitcoin and the fact when others launder money? Only they want to launder as they wish?
I think this thread is a good reminder for them, who watchs bitcoin as a money laundering option: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5055518
3588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY? on: November 14, 2018, 10:09:09 PM
Governments don't care on people, they care on themselves, I think that's not hard to understand or discover. When they say it's bad, doesn't means it's really bad, it means it's bad for them, for government. How is crypto bad? Oh, the fact that price changes often makes it bad currency? It's not their job, if someone wants to use, let's use. Governments can't control these currencies, that's why they say it's bad. In reality it's better than their shit banks with shit currencies.
3589  Other / Meta / Re: New board in altcoin? on: November 14, 2018, 07:42:39 PM
Can we have new board in altcoin for altcoin gambling sites?
Are you aware that primedice and stake are no longer bitcoin-only sites and they allow altcoins to be played? Crypto-games and Bitsler have allowed the for some time now. Till date there has been no change either by relocation or duplication of their Announcement threads than one which is already present in the "Gambling" section.

For those sites which are strictly altcoin based gambling maybe we can do with the "Service Announcements (Altcoins)" section but a separate section for Altcoin Economies would be nice.

This is a bitcoin forum so things tend to be biased that way. Grin

I was thinking the same. Most gambling sites support alts alongside Bitcoin (thus are covered by the regular gambling section) and the only gambling site I can think of that supports only alts is just-dice which have their thread in the alt coin service announcement section.

Are there really that many other alt-only crypto gambling websites? Serious question, I'm not very familiar with the alt coin scene.
You will rarely see only altcoin based websites, when they exist, usually they are ethereum based ones which includes some kind of smart contracts which I can't understand what has to do with gambling.
Coin limit can only affect business, so I have no idea why will someone reject bitcoin and accept ripple, doge and etc, it will only affect owner's profit.
On another hand, this website is bitcoin based, so there are more boards for bitcoin and only a little edge is given for altcoins.
3590  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: A catch in the blockchain.com XLM airdrop - KYC ! Thoughts ? on: November 14, 2018, 10:45:47 AM

a lot will fall for that $25 though.

it feels the government is behind it. its my paranoia but ICOs and exchange collecting all the data is somewhat SEC related. once all the mandatory collection is done, no one escapes from it, then they can now do anything. just as how national ID works.
I highly believe they'll require KYC in future and say: If you want to use our service, upload documents or go away.
Of course for some of us it doesn't matter because we rarely use blockchain.info but... people who would agree that proposal, better to do it now and benefit from them. On another hand who will "fall" for 25$, is that a problem? Some people don't care if their identity is protected or not, money is important for them at the moment.
3591  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂CASINO/12 COINS AVAILABLE 🎁50% REFERRAL PROMOTION🎁 on: November 13, 2018, 10:12:46 PM
Guys is it so hard to understand? Why do you keep posting the same?
Bot isn't built by Bitsler, so they aren't reponsible of it's work or any unwated results. For this reason, Bitsler can't say good or bad on this bot, they can't recommend it or even say the opposite, they are neutral because Bot isn't built by Bitsler, it's not also official partner.

3592  Economy / Economics / Re: We can totally eradicate poverty if we TRULY want to. on: November 13, 2018, 08:41:31 PM
Really a good task to discuss about, but answer is a big no. Not directly from me, but from people. Maybe you see around that your friends look sad at poor people or you'll see a poor child who has one wish when he/she grow up: One day I'll become rich and will help all poor people.
This world will never be what we have expected when we were children, also remember, if I am rich it's because you are poor. This world works this way, people, even from their first seconds when they born, are egoist and only care about themselves. If we really want to make everyone normal and avoid anyone to be poor, then we wouldn't look for cheap workers in china, africa and in another countries, we wouldn't try to get rid of business opponents. This world doesn't works this way, not world but humanity.
3593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to transfer bitcoin to paypal uk/gbp? on: November 13, 2018, 07:08:43 PM
I have one idea, I usually use it without problem, btw it's not a direct way.
Is xapo accepted in your country? If yes, then what about to use it? I mean you own xapo, receive bitcoins here, convert them in GBP (xapo has very good rate), then fill Xapo Debit card, stick this card on your paypal account, do payment with it through paypal.
I don't know why but this happens on my account: When I pay with card through paypal, for example on ebay and then calcel order, I receive money on PP instead of my visa card, this way funds stay on PP.
3594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: is it still profitable? How many rigs do the big boys still have... on: November 13, 2018, 06:28:37 PM
Are you profiting with ETH or other Altcoins?

Whats your outlook?

How are the big boys doing... are you one of them? what's the electricity to profit ratio/conversions?
I am not a big boy in mining but mine as I can. Was collecting money and bought 8 gtx1070ti one year ago, price was acceptable too, in winter had great time for 2 week and ROIed 20% in these two week. Now mine most profitable coin according to whattomine.com and exchange to ether and bitcoin, withdraw some of them.
Worths for me to mine, is very energo effective compared to others + electricity isn't expensive for me.
3595  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Royal Escrow legit? on: November 13, 2018, 05:10:09 PM
On twitter they claim: A Decentralized Autonomous Organization Founded Since 2003.
In reality, domain was registered in 2005-05-26. There is no information given on Royal escrow and it's review.
You can also check what was happening on royalescrow.com since it exists, check it on web.archive.org and surprisingly you'll see a lot of blank pages or 403 forbidden text until 2018. Their joined twitter in July 2017. There is no way they would handle transactions worth $900M.
Now decide whether risk and use it or not.
3596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling website to invest into? on: November 13, 2018, 01:12:03 PM
Preferably a website that has been around for at least one year, and proven itself as a profitable source on the long term. No one likes scam exits. Cheers!
Crypto-games.net
Bitvest.io
These two has been running for more than a year so your money is safe for investing on each bankrolls.

I was in the crypto-games sig campaign in the past, I know they're trustworthy. I didn't know they let people invest in their bankroll though!

~snip~

Yeah, they let people to invest and your ex manager, Luptin has invested here too, a lot of people who invested here are satisfied. As far as I know another good option of investment is Yolodice.
Btw after seeing leaderboard, maybe it doesn't worth to invest in bustadice -> https://bustadice.com/leaderboard
On another hand, there is no good option, for me it doesn't worth to invest here, better to buy GPUs and mine.
3597  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Add Warning Message ---> Please, search before starting a new topic on: November 13, 2018, 11:58:41 AM
Nah man. This is too preposterous. This is a forum, we won't run out of space, if multiple threads are created with the same concern. People are just overdoing this too much. It won't end the world if multiple threads are created.
It's not a matter of running out of space. Won't we appraise a thread which have constructive and on-topic repiles? Of course, we will get bored when someone posts a reply with same thought which already have been answered by someone previously. When you read a thread, I don't think you will feel better if you see some replies with same thoughts. The same also applies here. If you see the same thread/query again and again, it really looks weird.
In the welcome message which is being developed, afaik, theymos has also asked people to search before posting same query.
First, search for your problem to see if anyone has asked about it before. If you don't find anything on it, ask in the Meta section. If you don't speak English well, either ask in your local section or PM the moderators of your local section.
Logically you will search here or on google and after no success, come here to open thread and get answer on your question, am I right? I would do the same but consider that some people don't have this logic. If someone wants to create thread and receive answer directly in his/her thread, that message can't change his/her thoughts. Just push Report To Moderator, this task isn't something you have to worry much.
3598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What GPU to buy and what is up with proffitability calculators on: November 12, 2018, 11:02:27 PM
There were different ideas posted and I have another different one too, hope you are welcome to consider this too.
Mining isn't as bad as others say. I like you don't want to choose only one coin, that's the basic of good strategy as for now. I wouldn't buy used GPUs if you can't check/test them yourself before you buy.
Best GPUs to buy for mining for me is gtx 1070ti/1080 and higher. They consume less energy and you have possibility to mine a lot of altcoins. Use whattomine.com or nicehash profitability calculator if you aim to mine and keep bitcoins.
3599  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A browser extension that lets you shop with Bitcoin anywhere online on: November 12, 2018, 10:22:44 PM
Seems I am the only one who can't understand how this extension works? At first there is no way to make it work anywhere online, would edit title.
Then what happens? I log in on amazon, added items in card and decided to check out, now your extension popups and offers me to pay with bitcoin. I pay with bitcoin but how amazon receives payment? Extension makes virtual visa card, fills payment fields automatically and send payments?
Also ask on this question:Can I pay prime membership that way? If I pay by your extension, how does refund happens? Where do I get money?
3600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction becomes more popular with young people over time on: November 12, 2018, 09:36:30 PM
Surprising... because from what I am seeing, the interest in gambling is going down. I agree that online gambling is now accounting for a larger market share, but if you take the overall gambling industry, it is having a negative growth.

That's why my government forbid bitcoin gambling because just like OP said that gambling attacking our young generation.
Since our people can't control themself and they are not open minded just like Europe, our government really take an action against gambling and crypto gambling.
If some country able tolarate bitcoin gambling industry , it means that they capable to understand their behavior against gambling !
When I was in my 8th, knew sony vegas, AE, photoshop, html/css. So it wasn't hard for me to hide my identity by using VPN and knew when and how to bypass situations like that, could gamble online and withdraw money by using someone's wallets I knew. So if I knew that, someone who is interested too will easily be enlightened, you need to just google.
Gambling addiction isn't a problem, it's your choice of life. Your tight mind inspires you to look casino as a profit source, then you get addicted. Have a fun from gambling, if you can't - then avoid, do something that makes you strong and happy in a healthy way.
