Just remember, it was Grandfather Prescott Bush who supported Hitler in WWII. I don't understand why anyone would ever trust a Bush in any governmental office.

Google "Bush Nazi" and get the facts.

Rapture prediction is dangerous, especially if it is for a specific date in a near distant future. Why?

Let's say that the Rapture was predicted for January 1, 2020. This means that I have 5 more years to go and play around and be unfaithful. Then near the end, I can repent and be saved.

Such is faulty thinking because nobody knows when they will die. And if sudden death comes during voluntary, willful, big sinning, do I have enough faith to keep me within salvation? If I did, I would have avoided the willful sinning in the first place.

Dangerous predictions.

Any time we want to get Ross freed, all we need is to convince Mom to require her property returned to her in court. The law she would use is 7th Amendment common law - which is not the common law of today, court cases - and the 9th Amendment rights law. These amendments are for people of all times, and were written before any statutes were made. So they apply above and beyond all statutes.

I don't lift. But many people in wheelchairs do, because it is hard rolling a wheelchair up the stairs all by yourself. A lift is a lot easier.

Seriously, any minute that government wants to really make the economy grow, all they need to do is entirely drop the income tax. Government doesn't need it, since they get enough from investments in bonds, etc.  People would invest more in bonds if government gave them the money and incentive through dropping the income tax.

There is no basis to assume a "creator" expresses any emotion towards us or any form of favoritism to any part within the universe. Using emotion to validify or or refute the existence of intelligent design would be false. In the same way mathematics is emotionless, so using concepts of love and hate to argue its validity makes no sense.

Everything that happens in life - EVERYTHING - appears to be based on cause and effect, action and reaction. Even our thoughts where we make what we consider "free will choices" are directed by stimuli from the outside.

Whatever started cause and effect, the Thing that we could call the Great First Cause but some people call God, must have understood all about emotion to have caused it to come into being, through the ages of cause and effect that He directed to happen, right down to the present.

I think that most atheists are not religious, not due to hate of religion, but due to skepticism.
However, I know of quite a few younger atheists who hate religion due to being forced into it as a child.

I'm not sure either on what path is right for a parent to take when considering religion. An open approach, allowing the child to choose a religion? But that would not offer the child something to believe in and seek asylum. Furthermore, while it doesn't necessarily apply to adults, religion could help develop values in children.

What do you all think about raising children with religion?

Everything is religion. Ever since the beginning there have been people who have made a religion out of seeking to believe that there was no religion. These days, the religion of atheism is strong because of self-worship >>> humanism.

Why is everything religion? Because nobody knows even one second into the future what will happen. We all feel like we know, because experience shows us that a lot of the things we attempt actually happen. But then there are the car accidents and airplane crashes, etc., that show us that we really don't know the future at all.

Not knowing the future is what drives us into religion. We attempt to juggle the path of life to our favor. But we really don't know the future at all.

I'm an atheist and i don't hate any religion but i hate religious people.

I think most atheists hate religion  because of disrepectlful religious people. They always stereotype us,atheists, as devils ,demons and satanists. I've talk to some religious faggots (priests, pastors, etc.) and they said atheists will go to hell cuz atheists were minions of satan sent to earth to fight religion.

But even when they ARE NOT being disrespectful, Christians must characterize atheists as what atheists are. What are they? Unsaved for eternal life.

An atheist could turn to salvation. The hope is that they do turn. Why? Because we Christians are selfish. Eternity is a long time, and we need everyone that we can get into Heaven to be there with us, so that we are not bored out of our gourds over the expanse of eternity.

Seriously, God is wonderful way beyond understanding. The joy at being with Him forever is desirable way beyond this life.

I'm an atheist. And I'm also a pragmatist. If a all-powerful, all-knowing god wants me to love it, it knows exactly how I came to love other human beings, it can do exactly the same things they did. At no cost to itself, seeing as how it is all-powerful. If it's too proud to make an attempt to personally try make contact, and rely upon all kinds of proxies... then, maybe it just wouldnt have ever worked out between us.

Your desires for other things is distracting you from the gentle calling, and the contact God is constantly trying to make with you, personally.

An entire religion can never be denounced as hateful, regardless of how many people practicing the religion seem hateful.
Saying that Islam is a hateful religion because of terrorist groups is like saying Christianity is a white supremacist because of the KKK.

*snip*

Ask away... Everyone is friendly here

 Smiley

Now you're trying to tell us that there aren't any true Muslims here ^^.

 Cheesy

And really? These broad sweeping generalizations are just insane. Sure, some Muslims are hateful, but so are some Jews, some Christians and some of every religion.
I'd say this thread is more hateful than any Muslim I've ever known.

There probably isn't any hate in this thread. There might be hate in those who interpret the info in this thread as hate.

Not all Muslims are hateful. The point isn't that they are. The point is that the sincere, knowledgeable Muslim, the one who truly knows all his religious writings from reading them over and over again, does one of two things. He either becomes numb to some of the writings, or else he becomes so mixed up that he: a) quits being a Muslim; b) tries to make excuses for the violent parts of the writings; c) becomes violent; d) becomes so frustrated with his religion that he tends to become hateful of it and any non-Muslim because he is trying to fulfill all the Islamic writings, which are extremely contradictory at times.

People understand more or less naturally that we all need peace to live together on this planet. Even violent, war-like people live peacefully with others of their kind... at least to some extent. Most Muslims overlook the violence directives in their religion. Some of them don't. As with any people, a few are actually hateful.

The reason why Islam is hateful is, nobody can uphold Islamic law completely so that they will make it to Heaven. Because of this, even though Islamic law is not alive so that it can hate emotionally, anything that sends people to Hell is hateful because it hates those it destroys.

True Christians are the ones that believe in Jesus-salvation. Such people receive Heaven based on the perfection of Jesus, which is offered to all people in gift form. Why is it offered in gift form? Because nobody, not even Christians, can obey the law enough to make it to Heaven. So, God offers it in gift form to all who believe in the salvation Jesus provides.

There are few Muslims who can be both Muslim and Christian. Thus, Islam prohibits the Muslims from accepting Jesus as Savior so that they can go to Heaven.

The hereafter is the important part of any great religion.

Many Holocaust revisionists point to Jewish support of Hitler (and Stalin) as a reason to deny the "senseless" murder of millions of European "Jews," Gypsies, and Armenians in the early 20th century. I believe they are barking up the wrong tree.

I am Jewish. I was adopted by a Jewish family as a baby. I was circumcized (against my biological mother's wishes). I had a Bar Mitzvah. I was a member of the ZBT fraternity. I was on the inaugural Birthright Israel trip. I spent my entire professional career as a real estate investor and private equity advisor. I personally know several powerful Zionist billionaires. I am as much of a Jew as anyone.

There is a reason Jews supported Hitler: Hitler was right.

I know genocide is a scary concept, but try to look at it this way, if you will. In the early 20th century, Ashkenazi "Jewish" bank scams, media lies, and collective economic terrorism nearly destroyed Europe. Then Hitler and Stalin woke up, repaired their economies, and slaughtered 90% of the European "Jewish" population (excluding the authentic German Jews).

The result was a century of peace and prosperity on the continent. But some survived, reproduced, and a century later their descendants repeated the same atrocious usury and have again brought Europe to it's knees. Not to mention the havoc raged by the phony Satanic "Jews" that fled Europe to America.

Imagine how much better life would be for everyone if Hitler killed them all. Sometimes the truth is a hard pill to swallow.

These animals are not Jews. They are really just a cooperative and educated band of Gypsies (descendants of the Egyptian Pharoah) otherwise known as "The Seed of Amalek." These "people" are a subhuman devil species incapable of the emotion "love."

In exile, they converted to Judaism to shelter themselves from the genocide God commands. The Holy Torah (and Bible, and Koran) commands God's real children to wipe their entire race from existence because they ALWAYS repeat these same crimes against humanity.

It is simply in their DNA, and so long as they are allowed to exist, they will repeat the same atrocities. Today, genocide violates international law, but most men and women understand that God's word supercedes the Geneva Convention.

None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who care not who makes the rules. It is Time.

***For educational and discussion purposes only. I do not condone violence or unlawfulness. There are legal and peaceful solutions to the Jewish question. I only intend to spark this very necessary discussion.

No, you are wrong.
No, you are wrong.
No, you are wrong.
No, you are wrong.

Hitler was wrong.
Hitler was wrong.
Hitler was wrong.
Hitler was wrong.

Nope.

I am right.

And so was Hitler.

Some of Hitler's ideology was right. Obviously, he was right in some of his method... because they DID produce many of the results he was looking for.

Hitler was wrong in the way he went about what he did. He was wrong because there was deception and death in what he promoted.

Jews are divided into at least two major groups. Your average Jew on the street is a wonderful person, even if he pinches pennies. Then there are those who call themselves Jews, but are out to rule the world.

The second group, the group of so-called Jews, are just as wrong as Hitler was. Their methods are different than Hitler's. They are more deceitful. Their ways produce more death. But the ways that they work are much more deeply hidden than Hitler's ways which were out in the open.

Their ways will fail, just as Hitler's did. Bitcoin is part of their take-down.

I ask you again to produce scientific evidence to back up your position that gender identity is 100% a result of societal conditioning and not at all caused by biology.
There is such a wealth of evidence presented in Sex at Dawn, that until you read it you are woefully unprepared to even have this debate. This is the most important work on human sexuality in at least half a century (since Kinsey).

If there is such a wealth of evidence contained in your book, then you should have no problem sourcing the studies it is based on.

Again, do you care to address the lives that were destroyed because of this imposed gender reassignment?

Dr. Money And The Boy With No Penis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUTcwqR4Q4Y

Why one youtube video. Nice source TECHSHAE/s. The amount of transgender(before surgery, so your little youtube video has no basis) people below age 20 who attempt suicide is 50% according to http://www.yspp.org/about_suicide/statistics.htm

Honestly, you're coming off a troll akin to BADecker.

BADecker a troll? Lol! When you look at all the inconsistencies in that which is considered to be science fact, and when you look at all the scientific non-factual theories that are presented as fact to the unsuspecting public, you can see that it is much of the scientific community that is trolling.

Then there are people like you who are either trolling formally and knowingly, or else trolling without realizing what you are doing, having swallowed the science fiction part of science, hook, line and sinker.

Stop being funny and wake up to the silliness you are promoting, probably without even knowing what you are doing.

Just grow up and fucking read it.

Might be able to take time off to read it, if I could stop laughing. I mean, the title. Sex at Dawn wouldn't be so bad. Lots of folks have sex at dawn. I mean, sometimes it is more fun at dawn. Sometimes it stimulates you for work better than 2 or 3 cups of coffee. That's not the funny part.

The funny part lies in the little words between the big "Sex at Dawn" words: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality.

It's, like, prehistoric! We weren't there. We aren't there now. We don't have a time viewer. What we have is a pile of questions about the times before written history. And here somebody comes along and tries to tell us about things that happened back in a time when nobody knows.

I'm not saying that the book isn't full of all kinds of factual, interesting, practical information. I simply don't know. But there are a million books out there to read. And, there are almost that many science fiction books out there.

Again, I am not saying that this book is science fiction. But the title! The least they could have done is given it a title that sounded a bit less like science fiction, so that somebody who was serious could feel that the book might contain something worthwhile reading.

I like science fiction, even though the greater foundational premise of most science fiction from the last 100 years or so, is completely fictional just like the sci-fi itself. Nobody knows that the foundational premise of sci-fi called evolution is true. Yet most of these books build their fictional stories on the idea that evolution is true, even though the particular story itself is fictional.

So, now we get a book that, from the title of it, sounds like it probably is based on the fictional idea of evolution. The title makes it sound like something that pseudo-scientist, sci-fi writers would write.

Ain't got time. Not interested in this kind of sci-fi. Lots of serious, factual books to read. Lots of sci-fi books more to my liking to read. Life's too short.

The laws of nature apply everywhere. Mankind lives because the laws of nature apply to him. since he lives through the laws of nature, every law he makes is an extension of the laws of nature, because that's the only way man lives, by the laws of nature.

If there are no laws of nature, if God holds everything in place, no wonder Jesus suffered extreme pain and died. God can't do evil. The evil perpetrated by mankind twisted God into doing evil. But God can't do evil. Thus, Jesus (God's Son) suffered and died, taking the twisting.

Each energy has a label. Has this God identified self?

I Ask this man "BADecker" to explain to us all about God,
I Ask for a thorough explanation of the LAWS OF CREATION AND GOD,
I Ask for equation of Creation and Creator.
I Ask him how I am going to awaken and get off my planet if necessary? NOTE: I will Check if it is "magic" or reasonable physics (I am third dimensional and I have physical needs).
I Ask him to identify each energy in the "Godhead", the purpose in the controlling of everything directly, consciously, and so on.

Will ANYONE be able to change the world "Earth" when we leave this topic and thread? Why? How?
God had "consciousness" but even HE had to do something to cause "creation".

Even with no laws, you must still specify the SOURCE. So what about this man labeled BADecker; does he have understanding enough to answer my questions??

My source for this post is Chapter 14 of Phoenix Journal 71:
http://www.phoenixsourcedistributors.com/PJ_71.pdf

You don't need me to explain everything that is important. If you don't have it, you can have the Bible. It does a far better job than I ever could.

----------

If this is the answer, it is kind of convoluted. Notice that the people who have used the Kabbalah answer have all died. Have they risen to eternal life like Jesus?

Again, if you don't have it, you can have the Bible. It does a far better job of explaining than I ever could. The risen Jesus lives forever.

----------

Thank you for your responses. Perhaps the laws that God uses are simply self-directed directives, whereby He holds every particle and wave and action of the universe, consciously and perfectly... something like you and I ride a skateboard, or play a video game, or drive a race car (or is it only racists that drive race cars? Cheesy).

I agree with the title. And the only way to do it is to put "time" on the metric system. Give us 10 days to the week and 10 hours to the day.

EDIT: Dividing the same day, from midnight to midnight, into 10 hours rather than 24 hours, gives us longer hours. Get it?
35817  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: July 09, 2015, 09:01:10 PM
The mind is not the brain; the human mind is not sourced in the brain any more than the internet can be found in your laptop or your modem.

There are inherent problems with assuming that these experience can be comprehensively explained in terms of brain activity.  Surely you know this.

What is the real function of our brains?
Is it the brain tissue itself that creates our intelligence, or is it the electrical and conductive nature of the brain that allows us to connect to intelligence? More or less like a sophisticated antennae, just like Nikola Tesla observed of himself early in the 20th century.

Briefly, I will explain the evidence for the holographic brain concept; the first example is the double-slit experiment:

Quote
In quantum mechanics, the observer and the system being observed became mysteriously linked so that the results of any observation seemed to be determined in part by actual choices made by the observer.

[Mathematics logically proves that] the observation is affected by choices made by the observer.

When you observe something, what is the aspect of yourself which is interacting with that which you are observing but awareness/consciousness?

At the fundamental level of reality everything is energy, and that is an irrefutable conclusion in physics no matter how you look at it. And thus to believe that we are in any way separate from anything else in the universe, let alone the particles in our immediate vicinity, once again is not supported by the evidence.

Spoiler: To every non-theist person reading this thread for the rest of eternity, every one of my posts here has absolutely wrecked whatever weakass theist bullshit you've been spouting.

That I have decided to stop responding to most of your bullshit does not in any way change the above reality.

Oh give it up! The closest thing you have done to despoiling theist attitudes is to say that you have wrecked theist stuff.
