361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What else is needed to create digital assets based on colored coins? on: June 13, 2014, 01:18:03 AM
why are you posting this thread again?

so no one sees the responses from the other one?

362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's already 48%, No one care about Ghash? on: June 13, 2014, 01:09:59 AM

ya it's really interesting.  they keep running this lie about GHash.  Also some of the other offbeat blogs making up nonsense about BTC.  Someone is trying to keep the market down.

its really difficult to tell whats going on here.  Clearly there is a concerted effort to spook this market down in BTC.  why?

364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking Litecoin is a good play right now. on: June 13, 2014, 01:01:18 AM
if anything BTC is a very clear buy right now.  Not sure what's happening in the markets but I get the feeling this is a shakeoff before a huge run up.

LTC is just dumb.

-bm

Whats with the constant trolling of LTC threads promoting BTC? If you hate alts why even be in this section? Just to troll?

You must be really bored.

youre not allowed to talk about BTC on an LTC thread?

personally I think you'd be crazy to invest in LTC over BTC at this point.

Just wondering, what do you usually use for proof of residency?

when I first saw Proof Of Residency I thought it was a new Cryptoconsensus algorithm.  Smiley

366  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bit-thereum on: June 13, 2014, 12:27:23 AM
OT has been talking about interesting things in connection with Bitcoin since at least mid 2011 (my personal recollection) but in all this time has still not, as far as I know, produced even the simplest tool to do anything useful with it.

I wish them the best of luck, but to the extent that the promotion without delivery is distracting people from actually creating stuff that people can use it's not a good thing.

perhaps the Chief Technology Officer returned to his former profession?  http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1fbeqt/i_just_realized_chris_odom_at_the_bitcoin_2013/

367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEM] Grand Vote! To Remove or not to Remove utopianfuture from NEM? on: June 13, 2014, 12:12:30 AM
why dont you just issue a new stake?  why continue with NEMstake if you don't even know how much Utopian owns?

you guys do realize that most of these accounts from the "NEM community" are likely UP?

-bm

I disagree. His brand of bad English is particularly unique and not shared by many other posters in the NEM threads.

"brand of English"

how many of our decisions here come down to this particular factor?  this so called writing style fingerprint?  Notice how just about every single cryptocurrency uses this, at least partially, as proof of identity.  Bitcoin included- how many articles have been written about how 'Satoshi' used British spellings?

370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEM] Grand Vote! To Remove or not to Remove utopianfuture from NEM? on: June 12, 2014, 11:20:24 PM
Satoshi likely posted under different aliases, at the very beginning, to make Bitcoin look more popular than it really was

its beyond me how u can come up with such impudent excuses now. are u not ashamed? do u want to challenge utopianfuture TaunSew? :0

CfA, clearly you have not grasped that it's entirely possible all these people you are attempting to reason with are one person- UP, who owns most of the NEM stake.  This oversight is probably how you got snagged in the first place.  It's a basic problem with this communication medium.

-bm

u do have a solid point there -bm

do you even realize how much time you've probably spent having discussions with these sock puppets?  practically everyone on the nxt forums are anonymous.  Takes a little while to figure out who are the real people.

it's fairly obvious most of the people posting(pro-NEM) are native chinese speakers.

But it was really genius from your side to create sockpuppets and sell whole coin to yourself, I give you that.

u are mixing names now, this is what NEM is convicted for today. Grin

good one!

Hello.

I want to buy all yor NEM stakes.
How many stakes do you have for sale?!

hi sock puppet!

why do you announce your desire to buy to the world?  wouldn't this result in paying more?  such curious behavior.

3 people telling you 20 times to sell and that they dont care

funny isnt it? Cheesy

dont forget UP still has his stake(secretly), and wants to get out.  If the price hits the floor he can't do that.

mostly Im participating in these threads to validate what my initial suspicions were about this project, and also for fun. Smiley

so he's stepping down?  and handing over leadership to one of his sock puppets?  Smiley

you are seriously dumb if you don't clear out of this project and never look back.

376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEM] Grand Vote! To Remove or not to Remove utopianfuture from NEM? on: June 12, 2014, 09:21:41 PM
UP could resign himself and give Nem more credibility. I wonder if he will do it though.

the only thing NEM has left is a number of people who don't want to appear as if they were fooled.

377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Litecoin hold the #2 spot? Doubtful..and here are the coins who will benefit on: June 12, 2014, 09:06:06 PM
I've been on this forum for a while and I've never shilled for any coin.  I've been enthusiastic about some coins(NXT for instance).  LTC was mostly irrelevant to me but I think it's end is near for obvious reasons.  Investors should know this.

378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEM] Grand Vote! To Remove or not to Remove utopianfuture from NEM? on: June 12, 2014, 08:55:02 PM
Seeing all the NEMer's coming to terms with this is like cult members finding out their leader has been having sex with all their daughters.

Excuse me for enjoying the moment.

I thought the thing was hilariously dumb even before they IPOd.  I actually had a few interactions with UtopianFuture on the NXT forums(which are far more bizarre, interesting, and unreliable than anything you see on BTT).

I pointed out the fact that they had no technical plan.  I suppose a combination of investment enthusiasm and good-ol sock puppetry made it look as though my questioning was inappropriate.  I guess it wasnt.

379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Litecoin hold the #2 spot? Doubtful..and here are the coins who will benefit on: June 12, 2014, 08:34:51 PM
Yup volume in the millions everyday yup everyone is getting out every single day and the price is still not $0

There is 20+ mln. litecoins to dump to suckers * $10 = that's quite a few days even with that kind of volume, can't happen overnight you know.

I would imagine a large portion of LTC are owned by promoters and project members( 50%? ).  They can't dump at once because there will be major scandal, so they might trickle out to maybe recover some cash.  Seems most people holding LTC are generally clueless kids.
