361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: About Cryptopia on: January 29, 2018, 03:13:11 AM
I like Cryptopia. Very easy to use, plus the 5,000 NZD limit per day is already good for me as I don't trade that much anyhow.
Always enable 2FA. Withdrawals and Deposits are fast as well.
So far, I have not had any issue with Cryptopia.

362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Want To Buy DASH on: January 29, 2018, 02:52:56 AM
an exchange will not give me at that price and it will create a market disturbance. quite logical.

ive got 2 people till now and 1 have not replied me yet.

100BTC purchase may pump the price of Dash.
This is good of you to get Dash off the market as to not artificially pump it and will also limit your cost to not buy it at a premium.

Maybe put a scale to entice sellers (just a suggestion) -
e.g.
10 btc worth of dash @ 93% market price
25 btc worth of dash @ 94% market price
50 btc worth of dash @ 95% market price
etc.

363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptopia is a Black Hole on: January 29, 2018, 02:40:30 AM
I have not had any issue with Cryptopia. Withdrawal and Deposits are fast.

Check the deposit history, I'm not sure how many confirmations are for ELLA ( I can't see this coin in coinmarketcap)?

If this is a coin with a separate blockchain, there are coins that needs 2,000 confirmations.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye Blockchain. Hello Hashgraph. on: January 29, 2018, 02:33:05 AM
If this is patented, then we won't see a clone in the near future.
What I like about blockchain is that it's open-source and anyone can modify it and place improvements as they see fit and release a new coin - community innovation evolving it.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are some of the most anticipated ICO's that are active, or will so be? on: January 29, 2018, 02:29:13 AM
This week, until the next, these are the ICO's that I'll be participating:

1. AltOwl - ICO is ongoing
2. BeeToken
3. WePower
4. GoNetwork
5. ArcBlock

As always, do not take as financial advise, perform due diligence - caveat emptor!  Grin

366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: January 27, 2018, 04:18:39 PM
What would you do when you're talking to someone but then he suddenly talks about his hatred on Bitcoin, what would you react to it?

I've never actually experienced anything like this before, I just want to be prepared when it happened to me.

I don't talk about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies even to friends. I wait for them to open this subject first, only then will I talk about what I know.
Most people, if they know nothing, them don't like it.
If they know a little, they brag that they know it all.

I recall meeting someone who can't stop talking about bitcoin & ethereum. He just changed his fiat to bitcoin and talks like he knows it all.
I asked him the following:
1. how many exchange does he trade into, does he do arbitrage?
2. do you do PoW or PoS - what is your preference to support your coin of choice?
3. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the coin you support?
4. every heard of supporting your project or coin thru bounty campaigns? what's your level in bct?
5. What ICO's have you've participated in?

If they can't at least give a proper answer to these questions, then they still have a lot to learn

368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ban New altcoins on: January 24, 2018, 05:45:18 AM
Putting a cap on new coins or tokens being created will limit the new projects coming in to the crypto space.

It's really up to the Devs to be mindful of what they are creating.

Also to the bitcointalk community, If you assessed that it's just another copy/paste of an existing coin with no innovation or roadmap to develop it / use case OT it's a shit token in ethereum that will be another trash in the crypto space, do not support it - even if it's an airdrop.

369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: January 24, 2018, 05:19:59 AM
The early, early adopters of bitcoin are actually the underground organizations - as they need something of value that is easily tradeable and trustless in exchange for good or services.

Thank you for announcing that signatures can be removed. I hope the bounty campaign participants stakes can be corrected and settled properly as well.

There are many in the list that have wrong start post and bounty manager is not disqualifying them.
Check those who have more than 100+. Some are legit and some are not.

Some are already Member level in bitcointalk and have start post of less than 60 which is not possible.
You need to have 60 activity first before you can become a Member level.

WTF?

Rank Sr member

Number of posts at the time of submission 34

this is not possible.

This is absolutely ABSURD!? How can anyone become a Sr. Member with only 34 post???

Bounty manager, check this.

Do your duty not just to Envion but also to the community who believed in this project and thus have participated in the bounty.

Look at this person's posts, these are only copy-paste articles.

I didn't see the red item in the comment I quoted as a copy paste.
I seconded the post as it is a valid concern that the Envion team MUST take action for the benefit of everyone.

Probably your google translator didn't work properly.  Grin Grin Grin

375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Airdrops Profitable? on: January 19, 2018, 03:13:37 PM
Some are useless projects that their coins or tokens should not even exist.

Don't go for airdrops that are just Ethereum tokens - with no whitepaper or a team as most are basically useless.

Go for an airdrop that has its own blockchain, an active team and with a roadmap.

I recall an airdrop end of July 2017 that gave me $500 in value of the coin as it was one of my first airdrop.
It was KEKCoin. 10,000KEKs were given as an airdrop. If I just held on to it, the current value at the time of this post is now around $2,400.

Since I did PoS with the airdropped KEK coins from the very start, I managed to make $4,000+ from the airdrop and was also able to buy some cheap masternodes courtesy of the earnings from KEKCoin.

I may buy back some KEKs in the future, run my PoS again as a sort of thank you to devs and to support the blockchain as well.
Praise KEK! Grin Grin Grin

Congratulations Envion team and community on the very successful ICO!

I hope bounty manager will also post here when the final counting will be completed and when it will be safe to remove the signatures.

377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: highest amount you earned from bounty ??? on: January 18, 2018, 05:02:44 AM
Probably $5k in my bounties from centra coin, that was my first ever bounty campaign and i am lucky that ive joined that campaign.

Wow! $5,000 bounty is a lot!!! Is that from a signature campaign only or that includes twitter, facebook, etc?
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the year of other altcoins? on: January 18, 2018, 04:59:36 AM
Anything that is not Bitcoin is an Altcoin.

This pretty much be the year of altcoins as those who started last year in crypto would now have known about the alts already.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best ICO too invest in next 3 Months? on: January 17, 2018, 03:47:24 AM
TON, GoNetwork, Beetoken and WePower are strong ICO's that I am intently watching. Better check them out asap as some will have ICO by end of January.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market Manipulation Proof: Tether only top 100 coin in the green today on: January 17, 2018, 03:45:05 AM
I don't think so. I think that many are just using Tether as a guard against price volatility, since Tether is matched to the USD.

I agree. Best to tie up your gains in USD as it doesn't fluctuate much. This sort of preserves the value in USD then be able to buy more at the bottom of the market. But it maybe too late now. Last week would have been a good exit, today is a good re-entry in my opinion.
