Can't wait to see Ronaldo Manchester City. It's rumored Cristiano Ronaldo it's done deal. Because of the legacy at Manchester United sad day for those who loved CR7 from ManU. Apart from that it seems a good move where he might win a couple more trophies.

Yep if you look at Fabrizio Romano's Twitter status Cristiano Ronaldo joined Man City. On a two year contract. For a fee of £22 million + a season-long loan from Kevin de Bruyne. Ronaldo will receive a salary of around £20 m.

When I saw this post, I became really excited and immediately checked the tweets of Fabrizio Romano. But I couldn't see this one. After that, I went back here and checked your link. And I found out that this was a fake account.  Grin

I really don't know how people can be happy by creating fake accounts of prominent people and tricking people. There is no fun in this.
362  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin ever go down like 2018-2020 on: August 26, 2021, 03:39:13 PM
I don't expect Bitcoin price to go down to $10k or below for example from now on. I believe that Bitcoin has already gone over a certain level and there is no turning back to those price levels in the near future at least. To witness such thing, let me tell you what should happen. Bitcoin must start losing its popularity at a very high rate. People must leave using Bitcoin any longer. And then, Bitcoin will be affected deeply and it will be quite possible to see it being near worthless.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin go high the poor will not participate on: August 26, 2021, 03:33:53 PM
This is wrong. Whatever Bitcoin price is, all people will always be able to get access Bitcoin. It's just the Bitcoin amount changing which is equal to a certain fiat money for example (e.g. $1000). There is no scarcity in Bitcoin amount for people and there won't be. I know that there is a limited supply of 21 million. But it doesn't mean that majority can't have Bitcoin.

EFL Cup:

Arsenal 6 - 0 West Brom

 Shocked

honestly it looked like arsenal was playing alone

for the next round the big game will be liverpool against chelsea, honestly as a fan of liverpool i confess that this will be a game that i will watch very scared of losing to chelsea who is strong

After getting a defeat against Chelsea 2-0, this was the result Arsenal needed really.  Grin  They just obliterated West Brom in this match. And West Brom are actually not the worst team but they couldn't do anything against Arsenal here. Aubameyang made a hat-trick and Lacazette also scored after entering the game in the second half. They have improved their morale before their league match vs Manchester City.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: August 25, 2021, 09:09:35 PM
Atletico Madrid are preparing for their next match which is going to be against Villarreal this Sunday. Atletico Madrid are overwhelming them here of course. And they started with two victories to the season. As Luis Suarez also started playing, they should be able to defeat their opponent in this match. But it might not be an easy victory as Villarreal are a strong team on defense.
Villarreal is a hard opponent and could make surprises even vs bigger teams. Until now they have 2 goalless draws without forgetting their tight match vs Chelsea in Super Cup 2 weeks earlier. ATM has to score more than 1 goal difference if they would to compete for the title this season too!

I agree with you. Atletico Madrid must show their passion for the title by getting strong wins in matches like this. Yeah, maybe Villarreal are not an easy competitor. But it doesn't mean that they can resist Atletico Madrid till the final whistle. I trust Atletico Madrid to break Villarreal's defense and open the score gap. They should be able to win this by 2 goals at least.

In the DFB Pokal, Bayern Munich didn't even show mercy for Bremer and bulldozed them with a whopping 12-0 score.  Cheesy  The substitutes of Bayern Munich had one of their best matches that's for sure. Choupo-Moting benefited from this chance superbly and scored 4 goals. Bayern Munich are always like this. When they find the chance, they just demolish their opponents and don't even care about it.
367  Economy / Economics / Re: The reason to hodl bitcoin on: August 25, 2021, 08:53:43 PM
You assume that the bitcoins will stay in demand for many years to come and the demand is feeding a long-term price increase, but that is flawed. Gold might have been the go to option for people, because of scarcity ...but bitcoins are devalued by the massive amounts of Alt coins that are being added every day.

You see, for every new Alt coin that are added... the demand for bitcoins decrease... because people are now buying shitcoins and not bitcoins anymore. So the Bitcoin killers are all the Shitcoins and forks and GovCoins that are going to be added in the future.  Angry

I agree. There is no guarantee for Bitcoin to maintain itself forever. For example, I don't think the same for gold. I think that it will always be in our lives. But I believe that Bitcoin will be gone at some point. You can't expect any cryptocurrency to be demanded by people all the time. At some point, Bitcoin will start losing its popularity. And then, it will start losing its value at a very high rate also. And it could be Bitcoin's end.
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With all your assets, Investing in Bitcoin is really a madness or beneficial ? on: August 25, 2021, 08:49:21 PM
We don't need to contemplate over this question. The answer is really simple. It is just madness to make an investment with all of your savings. It is always recommended for the new investors that they shouldn't even think about doing such thing. Never make an investment which you cannot make up for later. You can lose a great deal of money and it could affect you psychologically deeply also.

One of the incredible matches this week is Liverpool v Chelsea.

Agreed, Lukaku vs Van Dijk will be an amazing battle to watch. I think that Van Dijk is physically strong enough to stop him both in air and on the ground and overall I still feel Liverpool is a better team when they have their strongest team at their disposal.

I would have been a lot more scared of Chelsea if they brought Haaland, Lukaku is a beast but players like Werner and Havertz would have a better chemistry and offensive flow with a player who's a bit more technical than Lukaku. Him and Werner combining - that will be a major issue for Chelsea.

I read that Virgil has not had the best games since coming back in the early EPL 2 games so he will probably be quite nervous to make sure he impresses. It is always so hard to come back from an injury so bad it puts you out for an entire season + the EURO so I hope he is back to his best. So we can see Lukaku and Virgil show us what giants in offence and defence look!

I think this can be a 3-3 draw  Cool

3-3? It is a really brave prediction.  Grin  I don't think that any of these teams will have any problem on scoring. I don't expect a defensive play from any side. But I'm not sure whether we can see 6 goals in this match. If it ends in a draw, I think that it would be 1-1 or 2-2. In short, Chelsea will get at least one point here in my opinion.

^ Mbappe is too desperate to join Madrid. Ultimately, he wants to become the new king of Madrid and the face of La Liga. With the dedication he is showing for Madrid, any amount would be less. Does Real Madrid feel the same way about Mbappe, and consider 200 million euros for this boy? It is important that the club try their best to persuade Mbappe that they are really interested in signing him and have tried everything to do so. Whatever the case, Real Madrid has more than enough to offer.

The Ligue 1 is one of the worst leagues in Europe I think. Because there are not many powerful clubs there and it is really boring to watch majority of the matches. Mbappe's reason to play at Real Madrid is not only this of course. We all know that it has been Mbappe's dream for years to play at Real Madrid. It is his dream team. However, PSG are making things harder by wanting €200m for him. If I were in Real Madrid's place, I would wait till January and sign him for free.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: August 25, 2021, 02:41:46 PM
Real Madrid are having an away match against Betis this weekend. They got a really shocking result against Levante like 3-3. They will want to atone for this result in this match. But Betis are one of the toughest opponents for them. They beat Betis only one time in their last three games. Betis will fight for their first win of this season. I expect both teams to score.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 25, 2021, 02:35:38 PM
They don’t need money, so they don’t want to sell Mbappe. In addition, Psg is known as a strong desire of Real Madrid to buy Mbappe. Therefore, hold on to the last. It is possible that during the season it will be possible to persuade Mbappe to renew the contract. In addition, Mbappe is a world-class star and no one will let him go in his prime.

Do you know? If PSG does not let Mbappe go to another club, then the other club will get Mbappe for free (not through a team transfer route).

It's not a matter of PSG not needing money or not, the problem is that PSG will not get anything if Mbappe's transfer status becomes a free transfer. We'll see how this Mbappe and PSG drama continues Cheesy

PSG are still a very rich club. But yeah, they can't run the risk of letting Mbappe go for free. Because it's obvious that Mbappe is not thinking of extending his contract. He wants to join Real Madrid as soon as possible. And PSG have signed Messi. They are going to be paying a lot of money to him. With this Mbappe transfer, they would gain incredible amount of money and they would be more comfortable while paying Messi's money.

After obliterating Genoa 4-0, the next opponent of Inter is Verona. And I would like to add that it is an away match. Verona made Sassuolo some difficulties in their first match of the season. But Sassuolo still managed to win it 3-2. And when it comes to the head-to-head matches, I see that Inter are pretty dominant against them. In their last match, Inter beat them 2-1 here. There is nothing holding Inter back from winning here again. And I believe that they will manage to do so.

https://www.calciomercato.it/2021/08/23/calciomercato-juventus-mckennie-tottenham-prestito/

This source claims that Tottenham have started talking with Juventus about a possible move for their central midfielder Weston McKennie to them. It hasn't been much time since he joined Juventus from Schalke permanently for a €20m transfer fee. I'm not sure if Juventus would be eager to sell him right away. He is only 22 years old and he has a talent I think. Therefore, I don't expect Juventus to let him go now.

One of the incredible matches this week is Liverpool v Chelsea.

This is a huge match as they are both one of the favourite teams for the league title. Liverpool made a huge start by defeating Norwich (3-0) and Burnley (2-0). They have van Dijk from now on also which means they will be stronger on defending. Chelsea on the other hand started really great also by defeating C. Palace (3-0) and Arsenal (2-0). They are much stronger having Lukaku alongside them. And Tuchel's system is running like clockwork. I think that both of these clubs won't have problems on scoring in this match. And we may see a draw like 1-1 or 2-2 at the end of the match.
376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin @ $50k on: August 24, 2021, 07:35:24 PM
Bitcoin price already went over $50k. But this time, we are witnessing it to decrease gradually and it has gone down to $47.9k now. I assume that it is another price correction after a good amount of increase in the price. I think that it might recede until reaching $47k exactly. But after that, I'm expecting to see the price starting to increase again and going towards $55k.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the best time to invest in Bitcoin on: August 24, 2021, 07:29:59 PM
Actually, there is no certain best time to invest into Bitcoin. I think that every time is the best time when it comes to making a Bitcoin investment. Because you are making this for a long time period in the end. Of course, it is better to make use of lower levels to buy if there is a chance. If there is not, then it is no big deal. You can just make your investment and forget about it until the next bull run.  Grin

Juventus got a really surprising result vs Udinese on the opening week. But the blame was on their goalkeeper of course. Because he made incredibly simple mistakes which helped Udinese come to life. Ronaldo's goal was cancelled and it was a close call.

This week, they will want to compensate this simple point loss. And their opponent is Empoli. The match is 4 days later. I think that Juventus will tear them apart.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: August 24, 2021, 04:43:11 PM
Atletico Madrid were the only team which won both of their two games so far until Sevilla won also yesterday. Sevilla played a really difficult game actually. They had a big difficulty in scoring the only goal of the game. Erik Lamela scored and made his team win this game. In this season, maybe we can see Sevilla in the title race also. They seem to be capable of making it to the end.
I personally am not sure that Sevilla will continue to be in the title race and indeed, Sevilla is a strong team and deserves to be reckoned as tough contenders in the title race but sometimes they are not so consistent in staying on the title race track when the schedule is so tight. But yes, I also realize this is football and anything can happen but for me getting full points in these first two games still can't guarantee Sevilla will be consistent throughout this season.

Agreed. Sevilla were playing good in the last season also. But they were having big consistency problems. If they were able to keep up their good work, the standings would be much different than that. Because I can't say that Barcelona and Real Madrid were so good then. Sevilla had the potential to leave them behind in the standings and fight for the title.

Now, it is the same for them again. If they don't manage to fix the inconsistency, then nothing will change for them.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 24, 2021, 04:38:31 PM
Mikel Arteta is under pressure again after having bad results in the first two matches of this season. But the team are still supporting him to stay. And there are some rumours like Antonio Conte would replace him if he continues to get bad results. Some people still think that the main problem is who their manager is. But it isn't actually. They don't have a really qualified squad. That's why nothing changes for them every season.

IMO, Arsenal are too confident to repeat the success achieved by Wenger during his time with Gunner. Wenger has a good instinct to find talented players or even bring talented young players from the academy for the first squad. Under Wenger, Arsenal rarely buy expensive players, but can sell players at high prices. Meanwhile, now, it is very much different. Arsenal should have taken action. Signing Conte, and entrusting the squad to him for a long time like they do to wenger, would be better than keeping Arteta as coach.

I agree with you. It is obvious that they can't go on like this by having Arteta as the manager. They need a change but the manager should be chosen very carefully considering their possible resurrection. Arsenal are not a team which deserve to be this much weak. They should be able to play with all they have and end the league at a decent position. They are one of the prestigious clubs of this league. I really miss the times while Thierry Henry was playing. Arsenal were much better than this back in the day.
