Relax you bunch of frothing at the mouth trolls, you'll get my response soon Tongue

My second son was born yesterday so I've been a tad busy.

For now I'll say that I'm deeply disapointed in Terrahash at this point and they have definitely lost the respect I had for them. That being said I still hope they salvage their reputation and company from this mess... somehow.

+1 i'm also disappointed at terrahash. if they can't deliver hchc's 1 order I doubt if they can deliver all our orders in "two weeks".

Btw congratulations on the birth of your second son!

As for the status of the remaining 3 batches: order page still displays that shipping is prepared, but not that they are shipped. Whatever that means  Undecided

That is the longest "12 hours" shipping schedule.  (Then again we are in bitcoin time. Two weeks is about 2 months so 12 hours is about 2 days)
363  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 13, 2013, 04:02:04 PM
Any news from hchc?  It's 2 weeks already.  He should have received his k16 by now.

TH has a few more hours to ship the boards.

Timer removed. End time: 2013-09-13+24:00:00EDT

Nope no response from my multiple IMs last couple days. Last they told me they are "assembling" my boards to be ship out end of this week. Dunno what board, might as well be a bunch of cardboard  Cheesy

Thank you for the update hchc.  Hope you get your boards soon.  (As for me it's time to call the bank).

For me it's wait for avalon gen 2.

Some calculations if gen 2 is 10 x faster and fully backward compatible.

A k16 will be 45 gh
A k64 will be 180 Gh.

Around $5 per gh

if difficulty rises 25% every 11 days and delivery is  on December 4 , It will roi in btc by February 26, 2014.

http://btcinvest.net/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=86933017.771194&dcosts=250&diff_mincrease=25&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=45000&diff_mincreasedecrease=0.2&btcusd=130&dpowcon=70&btcusd_mincrease=0&pcost=0.11&calcweeks=25&dleadtime=8&action=calc#

It will all depend on how much will bitsyncom sell its chips and can they really deliver by end of oct.

The disadvantage of this is we are at the mercy of bitsyncom again.
Posssible Advantage is chips may be  sold at a cheaper price to win back customers.

Update on the K64: Individual K16s are working fine. Inter-board communication (I2C) is not yet functional because BkkCoins (from whom we licensed the design) never finished the firmware and is unresponsive for over a week. I am trying to fix it, and hopefully it will be up and running soon.

Since i2c isnt working, can we just daisy chain usb the  4 x k16.
369  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 10, 2013, 12:39:22 AM
Regarding the project as a whole. Since Yifu is offering chip refunds now, we can go that route. But as you know, chips were only about 50-60% cost in our operation, that is all we would be able to refund everyone.

Another option is to get a refund now, and buy the Gen 2 chips in October. Yifu has announced that the Gen 2 chips will be fully compatible with Gen 1. So, we would be able to use the current boards, heat sinks, cases and most (if not all) of the components. And everyone will get about 8-10 times more hashing power for same price. (This is just an estimate, we will get more details once he releases the specs.) And we'll get another month and a half to sort out the issues with the current design. Instead of depending upon BkkCoins this time, we will hire people here to build upon and improve his design. We will open source everything we do.

+1.   If the additional hashing power is 8 x, 2 months time waiting for gen 2 will be ok.
370  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Product Teasers] Prototype hubs & more from Big Picture Mining Cooperative on: September 09, 2013, 08:21:01 AM
New thread coming soon...

3 hours of hashing reported... 0 HW errors on revised prototype.

Hoping to having sales start soon so get your BTC ready everyone.

Pricing still to be worked out but keep your eyes peeled this will be a quick sale I suspect.

Very interested.  Will sales  be a pre selling or item in hand?

From other thread by Bitsyncom:

Alright guys, got some good news, here's the two big ones.

1. chips from wednesday arrived just fine, they are being split/packaged for shipment.
2. we are going to open refund for all orders, not just june 1st/15th or what not.

expect more detailed update via newsletter later tonight.

Where's the thread that says this?

So what's the deal.  Are the chips going to be so late that he's giving everyone a refund?  Are the chip shipments expected to encounter continued delays or are the refunds damage control for credibility?

1. Chips that arrived on Wednesday are maybe for those who ordered from April 17  (zefir batch 3 date) onwards.

2.  Those who ordered chips after  June 1 can get a full refund.  This probably means they don't have the chips  for June orders. ( Another few weeks delay for terrahash June order.)
373  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 05, 2013, 08:30:43 PM
SebastianJu's order was updated to Prepare-shipping as well, and Terrahashs' order was placed before. Chips soon ? ;p

Fingers crossed.  Terrahash, what is the status of your avalon chip order?

Zefir and Sebastian ( may 11 ) got a "prepare shipping" for their  orders.

374  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 03, 2013, 10:24:25 AM
Diff jump +30% in 24hours, total diff over 110M in less then 13 days... I always kept quiet, but the situation is becoming critical. Terrahash, please share your plans on DAILY basis.

Next difficulty est is 86 m.  I agree, terrahash should update.

Zefir 3 batches have been refunded.
376  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 02, 2013, 09:13:21 PM
Zefir got a refund on his last 3 batches.  His last batch is dated April 30.

Bitsyncom has not even shipped April orders.  (Feels like the boat is sinking, abandon ship )

b) Keep your order with us. We deliver it within the promised time (2 weeks of receiving the chips). We will also give you a 20% (of your current order) credit for our next project which we will be announcing next week. This credit will be transferable (you can sell it if you want).

I hope you understand that we are doing this despite the fact that the current situation is NOT our fault. Everyone who ordered from us were totally aware of the risks involved. Also 20-25% was our average profit per order. So even with option 'b', we are willing to make 0 profit from this whole Avalon saga, just for the sake our next project and to maintain long-term credibility for our company.

We would love to hear your comments on this.

I'm ok with b. as long as your next project is not a pre-selling.

You get 0 profit.   We, Your customers, will not roi.   Both of us took a risk and lost.  (Only bitsyncom wins).

Yifu is open to chip refund.

Terrahash should get a refund.

Wait for bitsyncom to offer their chips at a discount and buy it back.

Terrahash can then Distribute the discount to their customer.  Smiley

so wait 6 more weeks so the chips are really not worth their price at all and have no way to ROI just to get a slight discount?

If bitsyncom is stuck with hundreds of thousands of chips (in stock ) due to refunds, He might sell it at a deep discount so that the buyer can get a positive roi.
