diff is 4 now. it could get stuck
This is a concern with 72*5 minute 6 hour re-targets. These new releases get thrashed now eh. its like there is a swarm of BTCless GPUs waiting for a tasty morsel to devour like locust.

? really
Yes, really. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=263744.msg2947378#msg2947378Chain fork with such parameters set it's only a matter of time. You are simply lucky enough yet. testnet made me and a few others A LOT of BTC
Oh I understand, "mine && sell && f*ck it" approach, you simply don't care about the future of currency. Maybe you made some BTC, but this changes nothing. lol
So it's not a testnet because YOU made some BTC, right? I'm agree, your point of view on the subject is a good reason for laugh. ooh touchy, And you point me to one of your opinions, gee thanks. There are some I care about, some I'll help get off the ground and some I'll just dump. If someone wants to offer X value for coin I hold and I like it I'll take it ... thanks for your concern. If the rest of the community disagrees with that valuation? well then I got what I could while I could. If they think its worth more I'll be gutted next month ... or I will have just moved on with life. Sometimes I see a coin I wish I hadn't sold, sometimes a coin I wish I'd never kept. It's a hard life .... get on with it. Personally its a testnet if it never goes public and live. This did so its not and it may or may not fail, sure the community will decide on a fair value eventually.

This is an evolutionary question for the coin parameters. A coin has to be fit to survive in an ecosystem which now includes multipools ergo long diff re-targets are a death wish. In fact they were always a death wish, multipools just highlight the issues. FTC had to be redesigned to survive, ANC got left high and dry recently, it's a bad design exposed.

need to have your wallet open (unencrypted) you can enter password in the console walletpassphrase <passphrase> <timeout> [mintonly] discussed here for PPC https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101820.msg1725936#msg1725936not sure of the exact rules but my I opened my wallet last night after it had been closed for a week and it played catchup for a couple of hours I get this: What should I do? 21:44:53 walletpassphrase 21:44:53 walletpassphrase <passphrase> <timeout> [mintonly] Stores the wallet decryption key in memory for <timeout> seconds. mintonly is optional true/false allowing only block minting. (code -1) just type walletpassphrase *yourpassphrasehere* *a time inseconds to keep unlocked like 999999999* While I remember you promised me 1350CDC for helping with your pool. in your PMs

No just have your wallet open and unlocked. It will deduct small balances into stake as the PoS blocks are minted then releases them after confirms

You know, I know that this coin doesn't exist. I know when I try to mine it, the Matrix is telling my brain that it is low difficulty and highly profitable. After three failed launch attempts, do you know what I've realised?
Ignorance was bliss.

when is it on cryptsy?
Tertiary market -- will trade against ORB and ANN ORB will have mined its last coin before this gets off the ground

So the RAM in the GPU is what matters?
Well RAM is still incorrect. It is the cache inside the GPU itself. RAM generally refers to the graphics card main memory (i.e. 1GB, 2GB, etc). The memory usage for Scrypt is in KB. Don't feel bad most people assume "memory hard" actually means "memory hard" but the memory hardness of the Scrypt used in LTC (and clones) is 1% of the default Scrypt requirements and those are considered for use in low security (real time) applications. It is about 1/6,000th of the memory requirements recommended for high security applications. Interesting, I get the bits about scrypt 1% lite So why does various monitoring software report GPU memory usage of between 1-1.5GB per card and CG miner using 80+ MB per instance?

Can someone tell me when the stake will start working? Right now it is 0% interest as the transactions all show up but have 0 value. Not real good incentive to keep the wallet open. If you send all your coins to another address and wait 10 days you will get stake. Must be 50 coins or more to generate the stake. But this is going to be fixed by the 20th ?? so no point in sending coins or what ? We'll see, for the sure thing you only could lose 2 days on a maybe right now. So...... Already wasted 15 so ....

oddly I have had better results clocking my RAM down to 1333 from 1600 with 2x 4GB sticks has worked on three different rigs

Problems with the android blockchain.info wallet on my middlecoin mining addy. OK this is totally my fault but may need to be discussed. I have been using a Blockchain.info wallet on android and guess what, yup, forgot the password a few weeks ago. Seeing as I never used the Blockchain.info web I never needed it as my phone connected to the wallet with a PIN so business as usual. Then this happens https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=271831.0I never keep coin in that wallet it's just a collection point and on the news of the Android fault I emptied it last night. then the android app does some updated rethinking (PIN no longer works and demands PW).... lucky me ... ? and probably resulting in this too https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=272182.0This wouldn't usually cause too much fuss, change of address and move on with life but there is going to be a constant trickle of coin from middlecoin pool into that wallet for the next couple of days as the balances move through the process. These coins are lost unless a kindly pool op can help, but how would I prove its my address? probably going to have to chalk up a couple of 0.1x BTC to experience but wondered what peoples thoughts were.
