361  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: May 18, 2015, 09:14:53 PM
What's not legitimate about a poker site with fair games, speedy withdrawals, 100% solvency, and a policy of promptly returning all player balances when legal action forces them to shut down? I've played on a lot of sites, and SealsWithClubs was more legitimate than any poker room not named PokerStars or SWCPoker.

Micon encouraged rampant collusion and showed absolutely no remorse for this. Most likely he was getting a cut from the colluders and thats why he fought implementation of a (real) collusion detection system with tooth and nail.
I think the problem was relating to the fact that the collusion detection system wasn't strong enough, and even if they blocked or froze accounts with funds, they never distributed it to other players in the pot or the table. But its extremely hard to detect collusion at times, and specially with the possibility of people using 2 browsers or TOR, it can make it hard for them to detect collusion.
362  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase accounts are closed due to US Govt sanctions on: May 18, 2015, 09:15:27 AM
Did they refund your coins or just kept them as part of blocking your account ? I find the sites and wallets very unethical in the way they operate these day.
363  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: May 17, 2015, 06:44:42 PM

Thanks for the replies.
I tried two of them today ( bitcoinpoker.gg + luckyflop.eu ) : no enough players and the buy-in is way too small.

This is the downside of Poker aka all social gambling games. Unlike dice sites, they are depndent on availablity of other players.
This is true specially with bitcoin. For normal poker you can always deposit using with neteller to other poker sites which accept Fiat, and play with the best alternatives to pokerstars(if US is where you are based in) .

If you are looking for cash games, then you can also try Nitrogensports. They don't usually have a lot of traffic, but they do have much more traffic for 100NL and above, than the other sites. But again SWC is always an option to play on at those stakes.

Seems wrong to turn this once-dead thread on the old version of sealswithclubs into a discussion of alternative poker sites.  There are other threads for these sites or maybe someone can get a discussion thread going (if you guys don't want to resurrect my overview thread).
I don't intend to start a discussion. Its just one answer to his question on here. I am also in no way saying that those are better than SwC, just that there are other options too.
364  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can Online live Roullette wheel be Rigged ? on: May 16, 2015, 09:15:39 PM
Friend of mine used to be a casino worker. Roulette is not 'rigged' but the operator is trained to land the ball wherever he wants. Good operators will be able to land the ball with a 2-3 spot miss from their target spot. Based on that, it's pretty easy for specific number bets to be dodged. This is why you'd want to sit on a table that is populated.
Since there are devices which use a camera to visually estimate where a ball will land based on the speed and all, I think this would definitely be possible, but again extremely hard. However, it is hard for them to rig the odds/even bets. Only the number bets are what are unsafe to place as that can be manipulated to an extent.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York Times identifies Nick Szabo as Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 16, 2015, 02:15:36 PM
Now they will start to search who is "Nick Szabo". I have found an interesting thread :

- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=8602.0

I didn't know there was actually chatter about him  being Satoshi an year back .
Founds a couple videos this morning too about speculation about him being Satoshi. Also seems a lot of the people have been talking about the similarity in writing styles in that thread as well. Don't see why did this become a big news just today then.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York Times identifies Nick Szabo as Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 16, 2015, 08:25:17 AM
This can't be Satoshi.
The guy who started this technology to anonymize everything won't let anyone reveal himself.
He obviously didn't reveal himself. The newspapers and some study done in a university , claimed that he is probable satoshi because his writing style matched to that of the original paper by satoshi , and his writing style.
And we have had people do a bit of stupid things before  , like DPR using his real name to ask a programming question.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York Times identifies Nick Szabo as Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 15, 2015, 08:55:47 PM
Now they'll turn this guy's life upside down and in a couple months we'll have another big news calling someone else The Satoshi Cheesy

Maybe we will have Satoshi Return and comment "I am not Nick Szabo" , just like he did before. We will atleast know he is still alive .
Also , this does sound fishy as it reads on wikipedia "After the release of Bitcoin, the timestamp of his blog post was changed to appear as if the blog post was published only after the release of Bitcoin."
368  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC for Paypal received as Goods/Services on: May 14, 2015, 03:24:52 PM
Thanks everyone for the advice.  I will definitely take the risk of charge back  into consideration and may still end up trading a low amount that I am ok with losing if it came down to it.

Do exactly that. Localbitcoins is actually the safest and best place to trade bitcoins for paypal, if you are comfortable sending your ID if they request it. But it does happen that if you send a big amount, then they might just charge back in that case and not mind the negative rating left by you. So as long as you are trading small amounts in the 45-day intervals, it should be fine.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 16BIT [NIST5][16M COINS] [IN-WALLET GAMES] [YOBIT - ALCUREX - BITTREX ] on: May 14, 2015, 03:07:33 PM
Scam coin. All the ICO coin was bought by dev. Then, he put some fake buy wall, and sold gradually.

I believe the same thing happened as well. Just one of the cases I previously posted about.

Even though I don't believe in the coin, but watching this for knowledge is always something you can do before investing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIasr2AiyZ0 Smiley

It actually had 3-4 BTC invested in the first few hours itself, without much info. Which probably meant the developer sending coins to the ICO himself, just to get the ball rolling.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is profitable, Dice Site Investment Vs Cloud Mining? on: May 14, 2015, 03:03:38 PM
I would suggest staying away from gambling site investing , The past has shown that they are more riskier than any form of investing specially because you are essentially trusting your coins with an anonymous third party. Just for the 1% you will have to risk it all and might not even get anything back.

The same thing as investing in a cloudmining and the risk are greater there where you have to wake up sometimes just to see that your payment is not arrived yet. It is not risking all to get 1 %. 1 % is the minimum that you will get since that is what house edge is for and ofcourse most sites get more than it
Consider the fact of a famous casino I know. It has had around 10K wagered in the past 2-3 months or maybe more. And mathematically there are supposed to make 100 BTC in that time, and they did make around 150ish.

Now even though they did make money, but imagine the risk you are taking by letting your money stay there. There has only been Justdice till now, which has ended well for investors. All the others, I believe will not stay for long and mostly haven't done so. Its the same case for cloudmining. So I would just suggest staying out of both.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is profitable, Dice Site Investment Vs Cloud Mining? on: May 14, 2015, 10:09:35 AM
hey guys i was planning to invest my BTC
but what is more profitable among those two?

Dice Site BANKROLL or Cloud Mining
I would suggest staying away from gambling site investing , The past has shown that they are more riskier than any form of investing specially because you are essentially trusting your coins with an anonymous third party. Just for the 1% you will have to risk it all and might not even get anything back.

Hello.

to do if I lose my password?

Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh
I think to have your password reset you need to have an email on the account.
If you don't then,  "To recover other accounts please email support@swcpoker.eu" is what it says on the site.
374  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: May 13, 2015, 03:13:54 PM
There have been endless discussions on this, the only thing it coms to is the fact, that are you in it for the technology or do you have money invested. If you are a person using it for sending money to another place, and only buy it at the point of the use, then it doesn't matter. But if you happen to store it for long term, then obviously it matters as you will essentially be losing money on it.
375  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [05-05-2015] Answer Questions To Earn Bitcoins With Bitfortip on: May 12, 2015, 08:14:59 PM
Is this still relevent with all the information that is currently out there for free?

Why would I use this service, if I could post the same question on a forum like this {bitcointalk.org} or reddit for FREE? .... OR place a bounty on it, where there is already 1000's of members using it?

I also think there is a similar version of this already. {Only difference.... answers are video edits posted in a central website} Cannot find it now, but I will post it, when I do.  Wink

There are a lot of services similar to this. However, not every question or search is something you can just ask on reddit or quora. There are things which are only known to people of the trade, for example a coding question or something, and this might seem that market better and offers to pay in bitcoin. But I doubt it will be able to cope up with the competition that exists
376  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin Legal? on: May 11, 2015, 11:43:59 PM
We can see a trend here. Weak economies tends to ban bitcoin. They see Bitcoin is a threat to their weak currencies, they have to ban it.
Rather than the threat, the laws in those countries aren't clearly defined regarding bitcoin . Banks and Governments can't pass rules or laws overnight, so most of the banks avoid it. There are always exceptions though. Just because there isn't a clear law defined for digital currencies being used , the image of bitcoin being all gambling and drug related make it worse in those countries.
377  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hufflepuff Making 2k BTC On PrimeDice Nov 2014. March 2015 Update: He Cheated on: May 11, 2015, 11:33:18 PM

I am almost 100% sure stunna owns like 20-30% of the bankroll, maybe even less and rest is from private investors
I doubt that. It might have been like that in the beginning but very unlikely as of now.
And since its all private investments, I highly doubt a lot of other people would be knowing it, except for Stunna.

Well i rather not get into all the info on how i know some specific stuff about pd, but my statement is true.
If you don't post about the source, then best to not post about it. You are more or less just spreading FUD in that case.
378  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Skrill/Neteller Doesn't Allow Bitcoin Trades? on: May 11, 2015, 10:42:47 PM
neteller accepts bitcoin deposit now, they won't close your accounts if you trade btc. neteller's choice is beneficial for btcers. Grin cheers.

according to skrill terms, you can't trade btc there, so be careful, they will close your accounts Cool

https://www.skrill.com/en/siteinformation/terms-and-conditions/

They actually might if it violates their policy and like twister said, that if they detect some kind of money laundering or fraud with it, they will freeze your funds. Surprisingly, just to avoid money laundering they also have a policy to not allow you to cross the normal verified limits, so anyone laundering a big amount of money with bitcoins, cannot do it through neteller.
379  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Deposit Neteller? on: May 11, 2015, 10:40:47 PM
Yes my account is verified.  Have you done this with bitcoin and neteller and they increased your limits?

My limits are 600/day, 2k per week and 3900 per month.

What are your bitcoin limits after you spoke to them?

Anyone know if we can get limits increased for neteller?
Yeah, but to do that you have to get your account verified. If you already have it verified, just drop them an email, and they will do it for you.

I am beginner and never sent bitcoins
I can deposit bitcoins in neteller only if subscribe to http://www.bitcoin.org
What mean?
Coinbase is my wallet
But how to deposit in neteller ?
Click in pay with bitcoin then I see in new window with this message :
"do you want to allow this website to open an app on your computer"
What app?

You don't have to use the button that opens through Bitpay. That window will generally show an address, and an amount, and you can use your coinbase wallet to directly send that amount to that address.
Sorry I forgot to get back to you on this. I have similar limits, they had told me that they can't increase the daily limits if I chose to deposit with bitcoins, but they can keep increasing my lifetime limits, as long as I provide to them my ID documents which will reset the limit everytime I do it.
