361  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: lost my seed and 2fa electrum wallet on: June 25, 2017, 04:45:28 AM
Try contacting Trustedcoin support https://api.trustedcoin.com/#/contact-us

I'm pretty sure they won't be able to do much if the 2FA was lost. I thought I remember reading something in their FAQ about that but I just checked and didn't see anything. They did mention that you are not able to change your phone or email address though:
Quote
For security reasons, we don't allow changing phone or email information, as that would allow an adversary to change contact info and then steal funds without the proper owner receiving notifications.

If you need to change your contact info, you can create a new wallet, and then transfer funds over to it.
362  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Trezor + Electrum = Connection failed on: June 25, 2017, 04:40:09 AM
So I had an Electrum wallet on my Macbook that was linked to my Trezor. One day, after having opened the wallet, it urged me to update my Electrum wallet (it was a rarely used wallet so old version of Electrum). After I  updated Electrum, I got the message that the new wallet doesn't support this wallet type, and that it would save it as 2 different wallets? Something like that, can't really remember.

Now the problem is that after this, I can see my balance, but the wallet can't connect to Trezor and therefore I can't move my coins. I have tried to export, and tried to connect on my PC, but I get the message "Connection failed" when trying to send, and the Trezor icon in the bottom right is red.

I'm using Win10, with the latest version of electrum. Anyone know how to get it to connect? I have tried with Trezor bridge both installed and uninstalled.

EDIT: I have the latest firmware on Trezor, and it works without problems on trezor.io
EDIT2: I tried to go File-New/Restore and chose Hardware Wallet, but Electrum can't even find my Trezor, even though it works perfectly on wallet.trezor.io. Again, Windows 10

Try the steps listed on the following page and see if they help resolve your issues:

I would sell all my Bitcoins if I didn't gamble them away.
364  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cant import private key. on: June 23, 2017, 07:51:35 PM
I have wallet in blockchain.info.I am trying to import it to electrum. But When import the private key i get a address other than my address and there is no bitcoin in it.Any help with it?

Blockchain.info exports the private keys in compressed form. You have to convert the keys as shown in the following post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1970345.msg19609200#msg19609200

You should be able to import them after doing that.
365  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: lost my seed and 2fa electrum wallet on: June 23, 2017, 03:44:22 AM
Yep, unfortunately without the seed or the 2FA, you won't be able to access the wallet. Perhaps you can try to extract the 2FA from a backup you may have of your phone ( if that is what you were using for 2FA ) which could allow you to access the wallet.
366  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: signing with btchip (ledger HW1) not possible on windows - missing websocket mod on: June 23, 2017, 03:42:53 AM
Hey, did you find a solution for windows? version 2.8.3 still suffers from this error..

Any other ideas how to sign a message using Ledger Nano\HW.1 on win10 ?

My guess is that you will need to wait for the developers to bundle the correct module into the executable file unless you want to try to run from source using python in windows. If you did that, you could probably download the module and get it working.
367  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: another newbbbbb on: June 23, 2017, 03:39:34 AM
Additionally, double check that you are running an up to date version of Electrum. The latest version is currently 2.8.3 and should use dynamic fees by default now.

Tragic, was hoping a miner could help me out.

I tried this site earlier and the submissions are beyond limit.

They usually reset the submissions every hour. I'll try to get yours in and will update this post if I am able to.
370  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: ICO Tokens on: June 21, 2017, 04:25:47 PM
I am thinking of participating in an ICO of another coin that will issue tokens to a BTC wallet address.  I registered my Electrum wallet address with the ICO to receive the tokens.  But before I actually submit BTC to them I wanted to understand how the token process works.  With myetherwallet I see there is a section that shows token balances.  When I look at Electrum I don't see a section for "tokens" in the wallet program.  Am i missing something?  Is Electrum not compatible with tokens of other ICO's?  Any explanation would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Electrum doesn't have any built in support for ICOs, however it should work just fine. You will just need to track your ICOs through whatever method they provide in the ICO.
371  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed payment for the last few hours on: June 21, 2017, 04:23:37 PM
Just realized I was still using an older version of electrum, and went through and got the latest version.

Sadly, I didn't realize it earlier and my payment is taking forever to go through since 12 a.m. last night.

Transaction ID: 6a3daa5d44734979d6d57bf65a77fa3a4fe96f1e8641cb3d8fa9077ea4854075

I fixed the Dynamic fee so now I won't have to deal with this anymore, thanks for the help everyone!
If somebody could push it for me that'd be awesome. Much love.

Yeah that transaction only included a 50 sat/B fee so it could take some time.

I recommend using https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ to try and accelerate it. You'll likely need to wait til after the hour once it resets. I'll try to push this through for you.

open bitcoin core and see if the balance is actually > 400 BTC. You dont need password to see balance

Yeah, in the video, their Bitcoin Core client wasn't even fully synced. I would load it up in a synced client and see if the balance is actually what it says it is.

Depending on how complex the password is, it could be very unlikely to impossible to crack. I'm guessing if someone sold it they already exhausted quite a bit of resources on cracking it or the wallet doesn't actually have the funds in it.
373  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mayweather vs McGregor: Who Do You Think Will Win? on: June 21, 2017, 03:29:48 AM
Yep, I am also thinking Mayweather but not quite sure how the fight will end up. I'm curious what the odds for the game will end up being.
374  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Backing up Electrum? on: June 21, 2017, 03:22:50 AM
All you really need is your seed assuming you have a seed based wallet setup in Electrum. You can use the seed to recreate your wallet on any new PC.
375  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Some questions regarding Electrum on: June 21, 2017, 03:22:05 AM
I was considering using a bitmixer. In which point do you think it would be best to use the bitmixer

Option 1: Online Wallet A > Bitcoin mixer > Electrum wallet > Online Wallet B
Option 2: Online Wallet A > Electrum wallet > Bitcoin mixer > Online wallet B
Option 3: Online Wallet A > Bitcoin mixer > Electrum wallet > Bitcoin mixer > Online Wallet B

Option 3 uses the bitcoin mixer twice but may be unnecessary.

Honestly, you could just do: Online Wallet A > Bitcoin mixer > Online Wallet B

The less transactions you do, the lower your fees will end up being. The extra steps don't really add much extra privacy.
376  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Some questions regarding Electrum on: June 21, 2017, 12:58:32 AM
Hi. I have just installed Electum. I am looking to set it up for maximum possible privacy. I have seen a setting under the Transactions options stating "Coin Selection, Privacy or Priority". The default setting is Priority. If I was to change this to Privacy, what difference would this make?

Privacy will create new change addresses for each transaction and avoid reusing addresses or sending coins back to the same address they were sent from.

Under the Addresses section I can see a bunch of addresses which have been generated. Do new ones get added here over time or am I only assigned these for this account? Would it be recommended to use a different receiving address for every transaction or is this not really necessary?

Yes, you should use a different receiving address for each transaction for more privacy. That list of addresses will populate with new addresses as you use them.

Ultimately my plan is to get some bitcoins from One online wallet to another online Wallet so my plan is to use Electrum in the middle of these 2 online wallets.    Online Wallet A > Electrum > Online Wallet B. I am hoping that by using Electrum I can completely break the link between these 2 online wallets, making it impossible to trace the transaction from Online wallet A to online wallet B.

Electrum is not a coin mixer and won't break the link between the two wallets. You will still be able to follow the transactions to see where the coins end up. To accomplish this, you would need to use a mixer such as BitMixer or similar.

Is there any issues logging into Bitsler with version 3.3.5 ? I tried to login but it kept giving me an error. I noticed the login page seems to have a captcha at the moment so are logins not working for this reason?

Anyone else getting tons of password reset emails from this site? I've gotten over 50+ generic emails within a single day and I don't even remember having an account here.
