361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: TikTok is a new social media source for promoting cryptocurrencies? on: July 15, 2020, 01:54:56 PM

I have not used tiktok but if it can help like how it helped doge go viral then why not use it. There is always a way to make tiktok work especially if its not banned in your country. If a team wants to use it because they want people to just dance to spark the bullrun they are free to do so.

Facebook and twitter though are tested platform to promote a project to go viral so its always been useful.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto mass adoption closing in on: July 15, 2020, 01:16:58 PM
I have not heard of a partnership between Binance and Paypal, there was a partnership project between Binance and a Visa card but it failed, and then Binance purchased the largest share of Swipe.io, a portfolio that has a partner in Visa.
Although this news may delight many if there is a partnership between Binance and Paypal, but also there is a fear of switching to centralization after Binance purchases and controls many electronic payment services and third-party services for cryptocurrencies.
Can you put the news link?

Was there a price for how they acquire this Swipe or this  is just a partnership?

The news article I've read few days ago said it was just a partnership. If binance purchased swipe in time where paypal also announced they are trying to get into cryptucrrency, it would appear like binance is after to compete paypal soon. They've been innovating a lot by allowing anyone just like LBC into Binance.

363  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lockdown easing - I'm back in the cafe on: July 14, 2020, 08:09:40 AM

Same with where I am now. It feels safer to go out also without my documents. During the hard lockdown, I have to bring all my papers everywhere I go but my documents also allow me to go out every Wednesday and Saturday.  Now I can walk around the park without the eyes of a platoon watching me.

Why do you believe like all these Covid19 is just a conspiracy theory, evidence shows patients died already?
364  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest winner during COVID? on: July 13, 2020, 08:22:15 PM
It is very easy to say that the biggest winner during Covid-19 is China without any doubt. They are the biggest influencer in the world now and may be they will rule the world very soon. The fragile USA will take time to recover all the things which they already lost in this pandemic.
That is actually true because China looks now almost normal as I was watching yesterday League of Legends LPL version that is Chinese league and most of the players participating are Chinese while a few Koreans too. I was wondering why no one is wearing masks anymore and how they are so comfortable when they were the ones who got hit by the virus first time.

I mean yeah they might have taken great measures possibly to control the virus but still no one is able to organize events and you are the one who are able to do it with relatively much more ease. I don't think China did spread this virus intentionally and I am not accusing them but they surely have something which they might be hiding, which might be a vaccine they have developed but don't want to export yet.

Its possible that they already have the vaccine but they want pharms everywhere to import from them for a price. They always want business. Pharmaceutical is the worse corrupt industry, its possible that they pharms are creating a low-quality vaccine to make it affordable but less efficient.

People from China do look at Xi Jinping as their almighty that whenever their government says something everyone obeys, they were tracking through the phones of individuals who are affected by the virus that is why its easy for them to contain it.

365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance upcoming delisting on: July 13, 2020, 05:47:21 PM

I was holding FUEL with stop loss set, this is the beauty of stop loss. Upon announcement of the delisting, the dump was epic. Imagine ARN nose diving to 400, that's insane. With this, projects will sit up with development.

Took them time to decide to delist these projects. I think ARN still will be in their DEX, the team did move it to Binance platform, as far as I know, I still have the ERC tokens. I didn't try exchanging it to BEP tokens because the price seem not worth. Now its going to take a dive again.

it's time shit tokens that settle in binance are destroyed
Aeron used to be a token from ICO, somehow it can easily enter binance
but until now the developers of several ICO projects have disappeared without certain news
sad sorrow for a sad soul

They've made a lot of partnerships that made investors see they are doing good, there is just no assurance to verify these partnerships though so its just not building up the confidence of investors.

Most coins are green already. I don't know if this is a bullrun sign but its definitely something that you can't rely on. If my crystal ball sees it correctly, the signs could burn us if you buy the fav altcoin you have. I prefer to just buy the ADA but not anything else. I can smell the money with ADA so its one that I vet on but not any altcoins right now.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Oikos,Tron DeFi,Synthetic assets & trustless token exchange, alpha launch on: July 01, 2020, 08:01:42 AM
this is a new project but for volumes up to 1 million dollars and it shows a lot of interest in OKS coins, prices are very stable and this is certainly very profitable for investors because they get a lot of profit

only recommend that this thread be move to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0 so that more people know

If you like Synthetix, you will also like this project.  Oikos is more on cryptocurrency only and fiat though there are no commodities nor stocks.

I have not tried bisq to be honest but I have tried many DEX even the ones that are not known. Bisq they said needs TOR does their deb file installation has tor package along with it?

Prize hunters certainly can't wait to sell their, they will run to the Decentralized exchange because the exchange provides sales of new born tokens so the hunter can immediately sell them

Of course that's possible but with lack of trading volume, the price will just dump and bounty hunters will not be happy.
We have to live in reality now, the time of DEX is already over, before it was IDEX, Etherdelta, and Forkdelta, but now they have a very little volume.

If CEX also will have issues of coinjoin and wasabi that they would freeze the coins nad probably a massive ban of crypto I guess before DEX will have more volume. Today only those individuals concern about their privacy are the only using it.

370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I won't bet on this on: June 28, 2020, 12:56:22 PM
PayPal is planning to implement crypto payment, that's not a bad news at all and we already have DeFi projects making Ethereum bullish this days.. that's two major news that can trigger bullrun soon but..... Don't make a bet on this, nothing might probably happen, actions speaks louder than words, maybe if PayPal actually get this done then, just maybe .......
The Paypal news I think is just a rumor and I didn't read articles from trusted sources telling that they will implement it.

With regards to the DEFI projects of Ethereum, I believe that this will take a long time but they are already in the process of developing it. Holding a bit of BTC and ETH would be fine though just like me. I'm holding a bit of ETH and most of my portfolio is on BTC. Just don't expect too much in these kind of news spreading in the internet.

Maybe so. This is why after the slight bullish trend the crash begun. For all we know its just a rumor and those who bought the news now are regretting selling their BTC for a lower price. Much like getting robbed without even a knife to their necks.  We all know they hate BTC since the time it exists we can't just expect them to change their thought about it and join the club.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian government Banning Cryptocurrencies? on: June 27, 2020, 05:26:36 PM
Yes I wonder where the link from their government websites as well. It is sure that they are going to be hiring an expert in blockchain if they are going to be dealing with all the tracking. But this expert might just be scamming the government asking for fee if he'd suggest pursuing the law.

Quote
“Our focus is on preventing money laundering rather than tracking down criminals,” Robinson told Hard Fork, adding: “To achieve this, we provide tools to businesses such as cryptocurrency exchanges and financial institutions, that allow them to screen cryptocurrency transactions for links to criminal activity.”

I wonder if they can also asks the dex to participate in this because if not then dex will still be a solution and that they can't completely ban cryptocurency.

372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: One Altcoin to invest on: June 27, 2020, 04:33:29 PM
0.2 BTC in hand.. One Altcoin to invest? Please share your thoughts.
0.2BTC is quite a lot of money, so you also have many appropriate investment options to make good profits. I think Populous (PPT) has lost a lot of value but still has potential, you should consider investing in it at very low prices currently.
With that amount of money in my opinion you still have the potential to benefit by investing in top altcoin such as ethereum, tron. xrp. choose altcoin which is clear in terms of demand and trading volume. will give us an advantage later. than we invest in the wrong project

Not the XRP but ADA or CRO. Cheaper altcoins that will gove you amounting to thousands of it. This is however if he is willing to wait for weeks to a month before selling. CRO just dip a bit but I think it will continue to rise just when markets hit its support again.  Between the two I will pick ADA if I  have just to invest to one altcoin this is given that I am willing to wait for months to years.
373  Economy / Economics / Re: China’s digital yuan could replace bitcoin & end US dollar hegemony on: June 27, 2020, 03:55:38 PM
Today, the United States and China are fighting a real economic war, while their governments have completely different approaches to developing their economies and solving financial problems within the country. if the yuan replaces the dollar, it will be a fairly strong replacement. But no country would agree to recognize the yuan as an international currency, since China’s policy does not give peace and the possibility of a serene universal coexistence. Based on this, there should be a real alternative that will be both independent and fully supported by other countries, which means that nothing can resist bitcoin.

Why is it China's policy is the issue its just the currency that has to come up. Other countries will likely agree that Digital Yuan will be a strong reserve after all they are one of the countries with stable economy.  Its just the currency that is to be accepted here not the countries policy to their citizens.  BTC still is not independent because for all we know mining farms are in China and exchanges today are mostly owned by Chinese.
374  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Black Americans are hypocrites, claims black lives matter but hate on Africans. on: June 26, 2020, 07:04:44 PM

These had been happening to probably individuals from small ethnic groups. I myself belong to a small ethnic group that when I go to a city the judging eyes scrutinized me from top to bottom. I won't say all race sees minorities to be smaller in some aspect but its what is happening.  They find it offensive but they don't realize they are also doing it to minor race.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance deserves the first Position on CMC on: June 26, 2020, 05:19:48 PM

Whether they manipulate or not, its their website and they can do whatever that pleases them. They deserve to be there on top after all they are the ones used mostly by traders today.  The yare doing charity works as well which is quite building a good reputation for countries they helped.  Just recently I just read they've sent millions for medical supplies through the charity campaign using cryptocurency.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary Tokens on: June 25, 2020, 06:14:50 PM
Inflation in a controlled manner always bring rise in price as we have seen in bitcoin. On the other hand ethereum has no limit of how many eth will be generated and is also doing good. Deflationary tokens like BOOM can also make a good impact since they are bringing down the total coins in circulation. They are new that's y such coins have to answer so many questions.

Ether is a utility token which anyone with ERC tokens will need it when sending. Anyone engaging in ERC tokens and trading will need ETH that is why its not going zero. But with Boom its yet unclear what its purpose but just deflationary token not very different to the team burning the own tokens milestones after milestones yet the price didn't change over time.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary Tokens on: June 25, 2020, 05:56:20 PM
This is practically the same as the burn mechanism many coins use to incentivize growth.

I don't think the mechanism in-and-of itself is necessarily enough to ensure a token or coin will appreciate in value simply because the supply is lower.

Supply and demand-based appreciation only works when the demand outstrips supply, and I'd imagine that's unlikely to happen for a cryptocurrency that is trying to force appreciation rather than building utility value.

Then again, looking at how BNB has pumped as a result of its burns + increased utility value, it can work under the right circumstances.

There are DPOS tokens in which the supply keeps rising in supply but the price also is almost stable. The point is that utility is the best way to make the value of the token rise up without it its hard to see the light under the tunnel. Deflationary Tokens seem like a hype only much like you said about the previous project that just wanna burn tokens. I'm curing to see since every tx burns certain % which means part of the circulating supply is burned itself.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto ratings? on: June 25, 2020, 05:07:33 PM
I do not follow any kind of rating or surveys or even expert opinions now because after so many years i have learnt that market decides when to move, market decides when bull trend starts and it is the market only that decides when the down trend will start so no real value in all these ratings or stuff.

I wasn't following any of these ratings too. But its funny how they all differ from each other Weiss listed XRP in the fifth. CCID understands its the worse coin they could ever promote so they listed to the last. None of them provided information as to why this is how they rank it but we all know its BTC that has the biggest trading volume and CCID just ignore it.
379  Economy / Speculation / Re: We will likely see a sharp increase then decrease in price on: June 24, 2020, 02:37:06 PM
If the recent news about PayPal become true then there's a chance we'll see 15 thosand this year.

I hadn't heard about this, thanks for pointing it out. According to Coindesk:

Quote
“My understanding is that they are going to allow buys and sells of crypto directly from PayPal and Venmo,” a well-placed industry source told CoinDesk. “They are going to have some sort of a built-in wallet functionality so you can store it there.”

So basically replicating what Cash App has? Probably a smart move. I'll admit I was surprised at how big BTC is for Cash App's business. Paypal might have taken notice and doesn't want to fall behind as far as P2P payment app features go.

I agree that official news of Paypal integration after all these years could provide a catalyst for a pump. However if they are just now hiring engineers for this, they won't have anything ready for many months.

Which will likely take 6-12 months before they can test their version of cash app and another months of bug finding.  Many PayPal users could be buying BTC yesterday that made the spike and then the drop happens.  Many speculations about what Paypal would do because they are hiring blockchain engineers.  They might just have their own blockchain for USD for the Cash app like system. If it seems the case then it might not be a catapult.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another bitcoin scams hit Canada on: June 23, 2020, 10:15:44 AM

This is never ending business since as long as there are money ready to be risk for sure many scammers will find an innovative ways to catch it, that's why sometimes I think it's better to teach this lesson on schools so that the new grown up will be aware about scams so that they will not fall on that schemes. This scamming incident is so alarming and government should impose a strict penalty to warn those scammers to continue this act.
That's true, we all know that as long as there is money involved, scammers will always there waiting for a great chance of having a victim. People should know that it is important to be aware and stay calm in this kind of situation, trusting no one is a must until proven every necessary information in every transaction to avoid scammers.

Scams are everywhere. Its even in my local town where a local lawyer also plays a role in such a scam.  I tried warning few friends not to engage in it since they don't have the coins in their wallet, they ignored me for it because the lawyer is just reputable than me.

The wise thing to do is just ignore everything unless you are the one initiating the investment. Its always a good to keep in mind that if private key isn't in your wallet then its not your coin.
