361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 27, 2024, 09:14:45 PM
Maybe at the moment Man City's goal productivity is indeed declining. This happened since the start of the season because at that time De Bruyne had not returned. But after De Bruyne returned, Man City began to rediscover their best form. But unfortunately Haaland was then injured. And currently Haaland has recovered and has played in several matches. But unfortunately the sharpness he had as a spearhead has not yet returned completely. So we can say that Man City is not as good as last season. But they are still strong contenders for the title this season along with Arsenal and Liverpool. It's just that Man City might start to get better and better. But I doubt Liverpool because this team now has many injured players. Meanwhile, Arsenal seems like they have improved again recently.

Have you given up hope that Liverpool will win the title this season? Their injury should not have made one believe that they would be unable to maintain first place until the end of the season. They've worked hard to get to that point, so I don't expect them to simply disband after experiencing an injury crisis, which every club is bound to face on occasion. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City are still contenders for the Premier League title, and I don't see any weak teams among them based on how they've performed in league games. We have about twelve games left for each team, so I still believe the league is wide open for any of the teams to win and not disregard any of them as not being potential of the league title.
All these setbacks are bound to happen to any team in the league and the only difference that it makes in these teams is how they are able to manage these injuries of which I think Liverpool have really done quit a good job and they are really doing well at that too  and with the way the league is turning to one can vividly say that have all the possibility and potential to hold on to that 1st place slot.
362  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: February 24, 2024, 08:05:51 PM
Gambling is not like a job or business so there is no chance of regular income from it. Gambling is a matter of luck, if your luck is good you will win in gambling and if your luck is bad then no matter how professional you are you will not win in gambling. so thinking of making a regular income from gambling is nothing but a foolish thought. Gambling may not be used for any purpose other than entertainment  Then neither money nor fun will come from there. so everyone should keep this in mind.
When I first started gambling I won gambling for several days then I thought I would earn a small amount of money from gambling every day. After several days I made some money like this and suddenly one day I lost all the money due to excessive greed.  I understand that gambling should not be overloaded and that gambling should not be taken as a profession. Gambling is fine for those who can take gambling as entertainment and those who gamble for money should stay away from gambling.
You shouldn't feel different because thats the same way other gamblers too behave, no one will tell me that they won consistently for three to four times and then suddenly didn't think to  even move higher, c'mon the feeling of that same greed is in every gambler and the only difference is that one set of gamblers knows how to control their urge when it comes but some fall into the temptations so the only thing that can resolve this is when you have other things doing that won't really affect your emotions and mental status when gambling.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 24, 2024, 07:32:16 PM
I'm a Manchester United fan, which is why you see me talking about Manchester United. Manchester United's performance against Fulham was so poor, even though Manchester United was at home. With the 1-2 loss to Fulham, our chance to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League is slim. Fulham deserved the win they had against Manchester United because they performed better than Manchester United.
Onana again did not reflexively catch the ball so he just let the ball into the net. Cheesy
Onana's same mistake is still being made. Tongue

Manchester United for the chance to qualify for the Champions League? It's still far away even though there are still many matches but I'm not sure there is a significant enough change later, they can only win the Europa League.

I thought the Fulham game would end in a draw but it didn't. I was honestly quite annoyed why Onana let the ball go was it because he was out of step? But as I said Onana often makes this mistake.
Manchester united is really something else because just at the brink of me thinking that they would finally draw the end or maybe from their own end even win the game but that was just mere misconception as they lost the game through their careless goalkeeper again and one would look at their form and think that they would win without any struggles but no they choose to let me down once more again and this has being one of the main reasons I don't like watching their games.
364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the highest amount of money you've ever bet in a single game? on: February 24, 2024, 06:56:50 PM
I haven't really stake that big of an amount but I think mine would be just 55$ on a single game of tennis and it's been really long too and the odd was a total of 2.30 odd which was even the bigger odd of the two but I was really certain of the win and the only reason I even used the funds was because I won the money on another soccer parley bet I play and I decided to play it safe with a single game that day and the outcome was something else because the person I stake for lost the game and let me wondering that there is actually nothing like playing it safe when it comes to gambling.

366  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: NYSC scheme is another failed structure that could have helped our economy. on: February 24, 2024, 12:52:52 AM
The purpose of the nysc has been hijacked and even from the days of obasanjo, I think the nysc scheme has been used as a means to silently and secretly steal from the country’s treasury without with much attention since it is believed to be for reasonable reason without knowing the evil intentions behind it.
I personally don’t think the nysc program has any purpose or impact and should be scrapped as it’s not just a waste of the country’s money but also waste of the graduates time as this program is even made mandatory and the risk of traveling from one’s state to another for orientation and posting already has its own risk.
367  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: One of Nigerian economic problem is that our youth population is very high on: February 24, 2024, 12:35:28 AM
If there is one thing I like about your post is the fact that you didn’t say that the youth should be given the power because I don’t think the youths are ready to take over this leadership as their are possibilities that power might get into their heads and this is evident with one youth of the National Assembly that slapped a pregnant lady at a shopping mall and I’m sure that the news went viral.
But still on still our government no try at all and if there is anything wey them fit do to restore this country back then make them do an asap without hesitation as things Dey really spoil by the day
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: February 23, 2024, 11:33:50 PM

I advise everyone to see this video, I'm not related to this person, but I can relate to his stories and the gambling addiction that most of us could have been suffering for years. This is the second video that I have been watching and they say the same things. Not just money they lose, but time and relationship. The other video that I saw that he was not even present with the delivery of his first and second kid, he was done gambling and trying to make money for the hospital bills but it turns out that he losses in both time.

Perhaps you have seen other videos as well and maybe share it here.
Thanks for the concern shown because even if many people don't admit it openly here, it's very much noted that there are lots of persons suffering or might have suffered from this act but still yet finding it hard to quit this very deadly act and that's why it's important to advocate this important message that gambling isn't something that anyone can turn into a day job or an habit that is guaranteed to grant them successful winning constantly, although it's true that some persons do get lucky and win big but first calculate the ratio of possibilities.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: February 23, 2024, 11:03:57 PM
Gambling ads on tv are not regulated, most especially, if you are subscribed to a cable tv, or internet TV like YouTube and others, there is a high chance that such ads, or even something worst, might come up from time to time.
The only solution to this I think is to get the children their own TV, where they can comfortably watch cartoons and other children programs in their room, by this way, the children will begin to see less gambling advertisement ads on TV when their parent are watching a sports program.

If children have access to TV and the internet without limitation, they'll likely come across these gambling advertisements. Nowadays, with plenty of sources of entertainment online, it's too risky for our children to give them full freedom. It's still up to us how to discipline them and provide only what is necessary at their young age. We want our kids to have the same interests as us, if we love sports, we might also want them to enjoy sports. However, gambling is just quite different. This thing is what we call for adults only or mature content, similar to porn shows, with a warning: not for kids.
The world today is totally uncontrollable because the internet and the TV makes it so easy for children to access these things online and moreover advertising of betting or gambling sites are done on a more wider scale now and even the internet like social media are filled with these kinds of advert too but if the parents of a child keeps a close eye on the child then I think it's avoided and moreover there is always parental guidance rating on some specific TV shows and even the cartoon themselves.

371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 23, 2024, 10:54:02 PM
Even with those problems, they managed to draw with Barcelona. I don't think Barcelona have any serious problems that prevent them from winning, at least they are playing better than Napoli. Napoli are awful this season, as their play shows, I'll be surprised if they go any further
Both team are having poor results in matches, but let's start from Barcelona, they're ranking 3rd position on La Liga table. Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez will leave at the end of the season, but he still have work to do with the present team. Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis have sacked his current coach, Rudi Garcia and immediately replace him with Francesco Calzona. He have solid plans to execute for the club and he's busy implementing down more exploring ideas. Napoli and Barcelona are experiencing difficulty this season, none of these teams stand in solid spot to win.
Barcelona case is more severe of you ask me because this team hasn't been the same for almost two years now while Napoli on the other hand were just crowned champions of Italy and don't really know what went wrong but they seem to have spoiled everything and now with the new coach, if his system is good then Napoli can ignite that last season flare that gave them the serie A.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 22, 2024, 11:30:23 PM
The casino never loses isn’t necessarily true. They’ve been cases of casinos trying to wiggle out from paying out a huge win won by a gambler. If such payments are made, it could have a significant effect on the finances of the casinos hence the move to try and withhold payment.

But I would say the casinos are the biggest beneficiaries as they’re clearly in it to make money. They’re a business themselves and definitely can not afford to run at a loss. They’re in it to make profit and hence, would ensure they get theirs. If it’s not so profitable, why do we see new casinos pop up every now and then?(some with the bad intent to gather enough customer deposits to steal and flee).
Well that might be true since there are actually running a business and in business sometimes the owners too themselves are accorded some degree of losses but like you said most times they are the ones with all the benefits and thats why there are more casino coming up everyday although am aware that there's also an handful of them claiming to be legit too but their intentions are actually to scam and leave their customers in the dark but even with that the loses are more with the gamblers than the other way round.
373  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: February 22, 2024, 11:26:09 PM
I am curious to know who are their targeted audience and at what age group. In general gambling people target countries like thailand more but probably this is not the case with crypto. Do they target nerds or total dumbs? How efficient they are between their marketing tactics?

Many of the casinos we see these days don't even care about age limit so we need not to agitate on that.
Since cryptocurrency market does not determines the age of who is transacting or not, we many newbies especially the underage take opportunity of this and keep funding there casino account to keep betting without restrictions. There are few casinos that do not ask for KYC and people do take advantage of this to bet.
But recently the number of casino that fail to ask for KYC has reduced to the very minimal and the government are fighting to make sure every casino let their customers undergo KYC and the casino that fail to do this, some have been penalized but that too will be varied to the nation and specific region in which the casino actually operates. But am certain there isn't a any handful of casino that don't require KYC.
374  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: FG benefiting from dollar rise against naira, Ndume alleges on: February 22, 2024, 11:22:07 PM
Wahala no too much for this country? How can the government be having joy seeing their citizens suffer just because of the little profits that are benefiting for their own selfish interest. Nigerians are suffering everyday and all the government cares is the way to actually get profits off our own poverty where's there were meant to actually serve us well with their full intentions at that too but for now it's even the number one man which is supposed to be the president is also a failure to Nigerians as a president.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does BTC mean to you? on: February 22, 2024, 10:49:57 PM
Well, for me, it was partly freedom and partly hope. Freedom comes from the fact that, as bitcoin functions on a decentralized network, no one other than ourselves has power over our wallets, and the government has no say over it. Additionally, we may send transactions to any location in the world where Bitcoin is accepted without the requirement for currency conversions or foreign fees. Whether you choose to convert it to your home currency is entirely up to you.
I hope, as I believe bitcoin has the ability to provide financial services to the world's unbanked people. Also, I feel that bitcoin will provide us with hope for greater monetary inclusion and economic empowerment by giving us access to the global financial network.

You can only get freedom when you control access to the private keys and/or seeds tied to your Bitcoin funds. Relying on centralized exchanges to store your coins, would be no different than trusting banks with your money. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people keep their BTC on centralized exchanges and/or wallet providers out of convenience. Bitcoin cannot achieve its full potential this way.

For a currency that was designed to "threaten" banks' very existence, I'd say it has failed. These big financial institutions still hold the power to manipulate the economy to their own benefit. Maybe someday our dreams will come true? Cheesy
This is exactly the case with what is happening to binance exchange in Nigeria as there are rumors around that the government have actually condition them to stop the P2P rate that is being used to sell their coins and I believe the vast majority of Nigerians that are using this exchange is far beyond the average number of person that are actually supposedly using a non-custodial wallet for the safe keeping of their coins and I think the reason being is because of how popular these exchanges have come to be but I also believe that one day these Bitcoin being the actual financial freedom giver will come to past.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you stand to gain from the bull run. on: February 22, 2024, 10:43:26 PM
As the bull run is right around the corner, most of us newbies have heard about it,  and even the experience crypto enthusiastic knows how and what always transpired during the bull run, but the sad reality is that not everyone will gain from it,  so my question is that what measures have you put in place to be among the beneficiary of the bull run?

We should start asking ourselves question like, how far have we gone in our Bitcoin accumulating process?  If the bull run comes this week, how much can we milk out from our current holdings? if we had any.

For procrastinators, It's high time you all start accumulating Bitcoin aggressively through the DCA method, so that you wouldn't be left out from such an amazing opportunity.
DCA-HODL is the best way to maximize the profit in the coming bull run. It is also a proven safe long term investment strategy most crypto enthusiasts did. In my case since I have no capital to spend for this investment I only invest my time and effort on signature campaign because rewards serves as my DCA way of investment as it is on a weekly payment basis. I am just hodling those Bitcoins I have so I won't miss the chance and opportunity again on this upcoming bullrun.
That's one way to go about it, the upcoming bull run is a perfect opportunity for people looking to earn big time with their Bitcoin investment but the thing is that you had  to have to saved a good amount of Bitcoin before the bull run kicks off because if you are planning to buy now although it's still not too late but the price during this period is way bigger compare to when the price was very low. Saving Bitcoin through your signature earning is not a bad idea but some folks actually live through these earning from their signature campaign and that's why it's always advisable to have more than one income inflow when it comes to having Bitcoin investment so as to enable you stay away from altering the figures of your Bitcoin.
377  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: February 22, 2024, 10:28:48 PM
Anyone tried this so far? I'm usually quite suspicious when the new platforms are the topic. Tried playing on Stake, Roobet, Dplay and Rollbit so far, but all of these platforms have been bigger, and well known tbh. My fear is inability to withdraw even if I win, I think that would be the worst scenario possible tbh
BC.GAME isn't really a new platform, as you can see, the thread is 5 years old and as far as I know, their gambling site was launched in 2017. if you are worried about their legitimacy but really want to try them out, then only deposit a small amount. you can also ask around on other gambling forums about BC.GAME before you decide on what you want to do.
I can boldly tell you that BC.game is one of the biggest casino just like the one am also advertising for which is rollbit and when it's comes to reputation these casino are verify and most people can attest to their stability too and I can see that he is well aware of Rollbit being a big name in the gambling industry and so is BC.game also. So do the needful and verify your KYC and I doubt you will have any issue when it comes to withdrawing your funds.
378  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are most scammers from Nigeria? on: February 21, 2024, 07:43:05 PM
The Answer to that question is NO, what you heard of Nigeria is a wrong perspective of Nigeria regardless to scam. There is No country Globally that scammers doesn't exist U.S, Britain, Asia etc. so don't use your experience with one or what you heard to justify an entire nation. Globally you can see Nigerians thriving in various fields positively, politics, Academics, sports, movie industries, Entertainments etc.

What Nigeria is experiencing is as a result of bad governance and bad leadership, who fail to provide the basic necessity needed by it's populous citizens and the environment. There is no jobs opportunities and Nigeria have a large population, this has affected Nigerians but it has also build many not to depend on government alone. I know because of its large population crime and fraud are meant to occur or people engaging in negative acts but in every society there is always the good ones and bad ones.

For me I think the question is even a stupid question because scam is something that has been happening long before the creation of Nigeria itself as a country and I know very well that their are scammers everywhere even in the most well decorated nations in the world so Nigeria having scammers is still a result of the government being reluctant to the main issues that would have helped salvage the economy of the country.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do people truly risk their money on bets for profit? on: February 21, 2024, 07:25:45 PM
When people study, they always say that they are studying to achieve their dreams, but when people become adults and need a job to earn money, then people focus on studying courses that are most sought after in the job market. , and when they get a job, they say they are working because they love that job, but in reality they are working because they need money. They do their job well and are compensated with money, which in this case is their salary. It's a win-win situation for both parties. On one side we have the owner of the company who needs employees to do certain tasks and on the other side we have people who need jobs so they do the tasks of the place where they work and receive salaries.

in casinos it's exactly the same thing, what we have is that on one side there is the casino owner who needs customers to make a profit and on the other side we have customers who are playing for fun and who also want to win money, I usually I play for fun but I try very hard to make a profit. Of course, I don't exaggerate and I manage my bankroll in a rational way so that I don't get lost in gambling addiction, because the search for profit is what has made many people follow the path of gambling addiction, and I don't want to this for me. But it's a reality that most people play because they want to win and make money, and that makes perfect sense. It wouldn't be fun to lose

Great analysis enjoyed reading your write up, its easily understandable why people get into confusion while gambling. They spend hours gambling for the money, as if they want to achieve their dreams. But the aim is for the money. They end up losing out lots of it, and keep on trying to earn few more funds, through gambling. While the casino boss is busy doing his parts on the Ads, looking for more gamblers to fund the business. This shows how simple it is to understand how the gambling niche is been managed. Also, why people shouldn't think the money wagered on gambling is an investment. As it's not what they think it is, gambling is for fun purposes and for the need to relax after a busy day or week.
We all get the relaxation part but the truth is that not everyone knows this because it can immediately turn into another thing and  that's the  where most person fail to get. You can actually start up a gaming session inorder to relax your mind but at the long run of everything the whole session might have turned into another thing and that's when most people get crazily involved because they would be trying to win back their money at the first initial deposit.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 21, 2024, 07:00:08 PM
Liverpool managed to win away from home by defeating Brentford 4-1.We should not look at the fact that they scored goals against their opponent because we can say that they actually struggled, no matter how many goals they scored. We can say that their opponent also got into as many scoring positions but could not make use of them.Manchester City's draw with Chelsea at home has become an advantage for Liverpool. Thus, besides the unplayed matches being equalized, Liverpool is now 1 point ahead of City. The tight competition seems to continue until the end of the league. There is a 1 point difference between the 3 teams and the exciting wait will continue. There is a 1 point difference between the 3 teams and the exciting wait seems to continue.
Well  with the scoreline one would think agree that despite the chances that Brentford had , it was definitely a great win for Liverpool I mean the margin is just enormous and that can never be classed as a match won under struggling and beside the both teams had a fair share of their chances to score but Brentford failed to score and Liverpool converted their so it's actually normal.
