A hard fight by Kings Xl had led to the last over win by 7 runs. Looking at the starting the match looked like an one side game. Kings Xl not at all good in the field, only the catch taken by Guptill helped stop the run storm created by Simmons. Finally kings Xl is in the hard competence on the track to enter playoffs.

If Punjab struggles to defend 230, it doesn't say much about their bowling. Even if the Wankhede Stadium had short boundaries and was a featherbed of a pitch, Punjab should have won this match easily.

I agree and disagree.

In ICO any company may release tokens, that is why the risk may be high and may be defined as well as low for the mature companies. It is an advantage and disadvantage of the lack of regulations, like two sides of the mirror.

In IPO it must be a mature company with turnover and history specified as minimal to the regulations of the spec. market (etc.).

That is why I tried to point out some common elements and elements that are different.

I'm open to a discussion how people would see a model ICO - something like a community codex for ICOs.

The problem is who will work towards community codes for ICOs.
As seen here, even a debate on blocksize turns acrimonious very quickly.
A coin with huge potential (say Ethereum pre launch) should be launched through a model process and that can be taken as a template for community codes.
363  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of global population are using or have at least 1 satoshi? on: May 11, 2017, 03:38:52 PM
I would say that even 1% is an overestimate. Think of China and India, which together account for over a third of the world's population. Penetration among the common masses is marginal at best.
364  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warning: Bubble about to pop. on: May 11, 2017, 03:34:28 PM
Well I believe this is still the early phase of adoption. There is still a lot to do when at least 15 countries will officially declare the bitcoin as the legal medium of payment then the adoption will be started and at that time more people will get aware of the bitcoin. We still have people who don’t know what a bitcoin is and how it works.

But higher prices like these will definitely boost adoption rate of bitcoins and hopefully it is already happening everywhere.

I don't think we will ever see a country officially declare bitcoin as the legal medium of payment in the near term. Bitcoin can become the de facto currency of netizens, if not the de jure currency of some country. The price will still increase if adoption is widespread.
365  Economy / Economics / Re: Venture or seed capital methodology versus decentralized thinking? on: May 11, 2017, 03:31:26 PM
I feel that IPOs are vastly different from ICOs. This is primarily because a company goes public after a few years of operations, when it has a proven product and business model. Seldom do you hit the markets with only a market.
With ICOs, the 'starters' are just raising the funds that they require to build a working model. Way higher risk and chances of fraud.

Hope Kings can continue their winning streak in this game as well against MI. MI have been the best in this season with only 3 matches lost (2 against the same team Pune) and if like KKR, Kings manage to win this and the next game, they will have great chances to qualify as now two teams are on 16 points each. Kings brought in Ishant while MI won the toss. The only thing that is a concern is they are playing in Mumbai which is a  great batting pitch. If Kings manage to score above 180, they would have great chances to win this match.

Today's match is going to be a difficult one to get for Punjab, since they are fighting to get a spot in the top 4 and mumbai ,since it is already in the top list and confirmed their birth in top 4 even if they lose.Mumbai will give a hard run to Punjab for their spot and punjab looks to be good from their last game and are still improving it.My take will be Punjab  win this for sure.

Punjab have gotten off to an extremely strong start. Glenn Maxwell is on fire now. At the end of 10 overs, Punjab have score 126 for the loss of 1 wicket. Considering that they have wickets in hand, this score can be doubled. That would give them over 250 runs.  Grin
367  Economy / Speculation / Re: sub 1000 gone forever on: May 10, 2017, 04:03:44 PM
buyers will come in at 1100-1200 on next dip.  you will never again get the chance to buy a bitcoin for under 1k.

I think you're right.

I'd say that dip is coming real soon because the price just simply cannot keep increasing on a daily basis. Right now it's increasing by around $50 minimum every single day and that's the definition of a bubble in my opinion.

But once it reaches 1100-1200 level people will think about how bitcoin rose so quickly from that level to 1750 which is the price level we are on right now, and people will start buying back again and bitcoin will rebound.

It is not increasing by $50 every day. Bitcoin's price is down by 2% in the last 24 hours.
Such corrections are good. They prevent the price from going up too fast and prevent a bubble from forming.
However, I don't think we will see sub 1000 again.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 10, 2017, 04:00:46 PM
3 wickets down Gujarat Lions are just walking ducks, Delhi boys playing well. It is a customary match so not much importance. I think Daredevils win.
As it'll be the last match for senior players, Pakistan will definitely try to win the match and series but I don't think it'll be that easy for them.

Gujarat have recovered extremely well with Finch scoring a 60. They look set to get a score of over 200.
Delhi will find it tough to overcome this score, no matter how well they play.
369  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: May 10, 2017, 01:59:36 AM
If we manage to hold good amount of coins in our wallet the we can surely become rich with bitcoins in future as when it comes to higher price of bitcoins then sky is the limit and no one knows how high it can go in future so if you want to get rich with it then try to collect as many coins as possible.
Sky is always the limit for people who had the ability to purchase and hold the coins and with the price we have now,it is really hard for any individual to hold a really large volume of coins but it will now turn to institutional investments as big investors will reap the benefits .

Everybody has the ability to purchase bitcoins. It is just that some people have the ability to purchase more bitcoins.
Irrespective of how much you purchase, if you get in early enough, Bitcoin has given tremendous returns.

Punjab have put in a fine performance to win their match against KKR. 167 was not a commanding score, but they managed to defend it.
In spite of Lynn playing a good knock, Punjab got wickets at regular intervals. Rahul Tetwia bowled well and his legspin turned the match for Punjab.
371  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this realistically or just a dream ? on: May 10, 2017, 01:53:18 AM
Well noone can totally predict the  future. It can happen or it cannot happen, but it has a very little chance that the price of bitcoins would go high up so much in such a short span of time.
According to me ,the price of bitcoins would reach upto $100,000 ,well even that to happen it will so many events or otherwise it will be just a dream.
the price of  bitcoin is not going to reach to that price so soon. although there is a lot of potential to the price of bitcoin as we can see that the price of bitcoin is now trading above 1700 and hopefully very soon the price of  bitcoin will cross 2000 USD level very soon. and it is also expected that the price of bitcoin will 2500 USD level at the end of 2017.

2030 is not so soon. It is 13 years away. That is a long time away in Bitcoin's time scale.
Think about it, Bitcoin has been around for only 9 years and we have gained so much.
372  Economy / Economics / Re: African country adopts Bitcoin as primary currency on: May 10, 2017, 01:51:12 AM
Bitcoin adoption by a country is not feasible currently
- The value fluctuates wildly. It is not possible for shopkeepers to update prices on an hourly basis.
- How would the government control money supply and banks?

At best, it can function as an alternate currency along with fiat.
373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell my stocks buy bitcoin... on: May 07, 2017, 04:52:40 AM
Well I still have my stocks and I will not sell them up for bitcoin. Bitcoin is a good opportunity for me to diversify my portfolio. But I will not go to extreme to sell my stocks and get bitcoin. I will just have them both in my portfolio, so that I can mitigate risk if something went haywire. Just like others here has mentioned a countless times, don't put all your eggs in one basket.  Smiley

Yes, you should focus on your portfolio distribution. A small amount of Bitcoin can provide upside to your portfolio, without hurting it too much in case of a crash. It is a new, risky asset class and your allocation to Bitcoin should reflect that.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 07, 2017, 04:50:55 AM
Its really horrifying to see DD performance ystd with MI. Other day DD chased 200+ score and this time cannot even play 15 overs and got all out without even putting any tough competition. Its difficult to even analysis that in one match from top they have being worst in this match. Now almost DD is out of the tournament considering their present form.

Mumbai beat Delhi by a record 146 runs. It is tough to see these kind of margins in T20 matches.
Mumbai played really well and deserve to be at the top of the table. They are now in the play offs, with matches to spare.
375  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Japanese exchanges increasing on: May 07, 2017, 04:49:06 AM
Why is it bad for the economy if the price of one satoshi was $1?
It isn't. You can print dollars and there are billions in circulation, while there's just a few million Bitcoins. Yes, just a few, because a large part of the ones mined till this day has been lost, or is owned by some mysterious perma holders like Satoshi. Also Dollars are used by a relatively small number of people. If you travel to Europe, you won't be able to buy anything with dollars, although the currency is recognized in Europe and you can exchange them on every corner, no store will take it.
This means that a 1$=1s is possible if Bitcoin becomes a secondary currency, acceptable everywhere as a form of electronic payment system.

You are comparing the number of bitcoins and number of dollars in circulation, while you are talking about 1 satoshi = 1 USD.
Compare the number of satoshis there are and the number of dollars. There are a lot more satoshis than dollars in circulation. So even if Bitcoin becomes as dominant as the dollar, 1s=1$ looks unlikely.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: Increasing Bitcoin Market Capitalization, when does it affect real economy? on: May 06, 2017, 02:00:59 AM

The market value of Bitcoin is over 20 billion EUR. This is huge increase but it’s stil insignificant in relation tot he total money supply (M3 according tot ECB). Is there an opinion in the community about the influence of increasing market capitalization (lets’s say over a quadrillion) on currency markets, real economy etc. ?

Forget total money supply, it is insignificant in comparison to other asset classes. There are many companies whose valuation exceed EUR 20 Bn. So Bitcoin is still in its infancy. I don't think it has a discernible effect on the real economy.
377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 06, 2017, 01:56:22 AM
This is very strange behavior from players that most of them are going to play for lost not win even Kohli is also not doing some good play after watching today game I am sure this season they play for last position in this year's IPL and they have very good odd for this because on papers this was most powerful team for this season

It's Virat who I feel has let down his team and has been let down as well. He's not been able to perform ever since he had an injury in the earlier international test match and I feel that he should have given this IPL season a miss till he comes back n form. RCB was playing well without him but now the entire team appears as if they can't play at all which is not the case. Gayle, Mandeep, AB and Watson are some great players but they aren't able to perform. Very poor performance in today's match.

A team which includes Kohli, Gayle and De Villiers is struggling to win matches. Royal Challengers are at the bottom of the table. They are 1 point below Gujarat Lions, who have an extra match in hand.
Their loss to Punjab, failure to chase a score of 138 in spite of the powerhouse batting line up, indicates that RCB are a lost cause.
378  Economy / Speculation / Re: When the all time high gets smashed on: May 06, 2017, 01:53:16 AM
So looking at combined crypto, Bitcoin, Etherium, Ripple, Litecoin, Dash and all the rest on previous chart

Hint of bubble?

There is a bubble, yes. But for all you know, it can be restricted to the altcoin space.
Altcoins have gone through the roof in the last few months. So the bursting could be only in altcoins.
379  Economy / Speculation / Re: I can see that the bitcoin specualtion sub has matured! on: May 04, 2017, 05:42:29 PM
I have seen this sub in those days, whenever the price of bitcoin rises, some people make very extraordinary speculation that bitcoin is going all the way to 100,000 and 1 million.

But now even when bitcoin is at its all time high , people are making very conservative estimates that is less than 5000$ mostly..

Yup! thats a sign of maturity....

$5000 is 3-4x current price levels. In no other asset class, would such estimates be termed as 'conservative'.
We are still mostly permanent bulls here.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 04, 2017, 05:40:40 PM
Already 170 and looks like Lions gonna hit more than 200 today. If Finch takes a stand then even Kishan is also capable of hitting some big hits. Rabada got 2 overs left so I guess it'll be a good competition from now.
GL batsman played well and gave a big target to DD 209 runs. Karthik and Raina played well, and in the end, Jadeja made a great finish. But DD is also giving a very strong reply to GL. just with the loss of 1 wicket they made 125 runs 11 overs completed. They need 78 runs from 55 balls. Samson and Pant are playing giving superb entertainment to the crowd. I think DD will win this game.
I thought GL will have an easy win after scoring 208 but I think I was wrong . What a great batting from the youngsters , this is an important match for DD and they are taking it seriously . This win will give them more confidence and also it will increase their NRR .

Yes, it will be an easy win for Daredevils and both the young batsmans, Samson and Pant are killing Lion's bowlers with their sixes. I don't think Daredevils have chances for qualifiers as their points are low but this IPL is like anything goes so it'll definitely boost their NRR if they won't lose any wickets from now.

Gujarat Lions massive score seems to have gone waste now. Delhi require only 44 runs from 42 balls, with 9 wickets in hand. The asking rate is around 6, compared to the 10/over they started with. Match is Delhi's to lose.
