361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm giving 100% ROI away to anyone who thinks pirate is a fraud on: August 22, 2012, 05:13:20 AM
Mostly I'm just bitter I don't have enough posts to take Matthew's money.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm giving 100% ROI away to anyone who thinks pirate is a fraud on: August 22, 2012, 04:52:05 AM
I'll bet all my bitcoins against all yours.

On a more serious note, who's going to organize the betting pool for whether Matthew pays up or not?

It used to be the top Bitcoin news show, now it's gone. I miss it.

Welcome to the danger zone.

Nice to see bitcoins furthering their intended purpose. People will know the truth.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone have all the 575 posts satoshi has made on this board? on: August 21, 2012, 04:32:19 AM
I miss Satoshi, he really knew how to code.
367  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bit-Pay is now officially BitPay.com - New website, new features on: August 21, 2012, 04:29:43 AM
You're doing great work.
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could bitcoin eventually crack SHA256? on: August 21, 2012, 04:05:50 AM
It couldn't crack SHA256, that would take precious cycles away from mining.
369  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Retro Bitcoin on: August 21, 2012, 04:01:28 AM
It's such a kawaii and 1337 design. Why isn't it the default?
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's get bitcoin support for OUYA! on: August 21, 2012, 03:28:06 AM
Yes, if only it was a mining-friendly platform, that would make sense. Anyone cares to make one?
Why would it have to be mining-friendly? All it would require is a thin client to send transactions. The entire point of pushing for first party support for bitcoin is to create a new pro-bitcoin market that would add much needed circulation of currency to bitcoin and drive up the value of coins currently in our pockets. Don't be so narrow minded, you'll miss out on a lot of potentially good investments.

Apologize.

I accept your apology.

If i'm not mistaking this is an android device, so say hello to google's wallet service, you can forget about bitcoin really.
Just because it's built on the Android architecture doesn't mean it's going to be controlled by google.

There will probably be a jailbroken version on the way, with apps that the "original" version does not have. Some developers at XDA forums would be the experts on that.
OUYA comes with a root button, so the jailbroken version is the same as the regular. It's the most dev friendly console there's ever been. Read the facts before you reply to a thread and put your ignorance on display.

If its open to devs, make a bitcoin OUYA store yourself.
No, I'm saying have the OUYA team integrate bitcoin service as a default method of payment. It could only benefit both the value of bitcoin and the quality of the system.
373  Economy / Economics / Re: First-Hand telling of an online Ponzi: Eve Online's Currin Trading on: August 20, 2012, 02:35:36 AM
I can't believe people try to make money in EVE by investments when corps exist in nulsec.

You really don't need to participate in potential scams to get ahead in the game, those are for suckers. Get into a good corp and they'll take care of you. They'll outfit you with ships for missions because they value the strength of numbers. The best ones all ask for application fees before you can join, but once you're in, you're set for life. You'll be making more cash from ops than you ever thought existed in the game, you'll never have to pay for game time again because you'll be able to buy PLEX.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Let's get bitcoin support for OUYA! on: August 20, 2012, 02:18:11 AM
http://www.ouya.tv/

OUYA is the new up-and-coming independently owned video game console that recently made almost 8.6 million from Kickstarter pre-orders. This seems like the perfect candidate for the first pro-bitcoin game console and I'm sure they'd agree to add bitcoin support if enough people asked for it. Let's get a grassroots campaign going and tweet, post facebook comments and bombard them with e-mails saying we want bitcoins on OUYA.

Think of how high it would drive the price of bitcoins!  Cheesy
375  Other / Off-topic / Re: wife just left me.... on: August 20, 2012, 01:51:35 AM
because i just lost all of our family's money in the crash.   i told her the market will correct but she's already too mad to care.
Hope the divorce court doesn't understand bitcoins. If they try to take them anyway, you can always try the Zhou Tong defense.

A good night's sleep will help you react to market fluctuations more quickly.

378  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Little Pony megathread :D on: August 20, 2012, 01:47:27 AM
My honest guess is a member of a death metal or biker forum, as a joke asked: Anyone watch MLP?
The joke deservedly got many laughs and stemmed related jokes and photoshops.
But unlike other type jests, it continued to spread, well outside it's sphere of humour until it reached this point,
Where droves of average grown ups, who have no valid/unvalid reason for saying they like the show, say they do anyway.

Here's a joke for you:

-Knock, knock!
-Who's there?
-Get the fuck out here! I will fucking murder you!

Now this is a joke only me and my imaginary friend will get, but please feel free to spread it.
Andrew WK is a fan of ponies. Not a joke either.
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more short-term speculators and a new bitcoinica clone on: August 20, 2012, 01:45:50 AM
What bitcoin really needs is acceptance by a major corporation willing to perform the tasks formerly reserved for sites like bitcoinica and Mt Gox.

So tell us about it. All I see is an image and a link to a reddit topic with no info. Who's it by? When's it coming out? Will it really be backed by MasterCard?
