361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taxation on: August 12, 2018, 06:33:44 AM
I do not think avoiding tax is a good idea. The government these days are sophisticated, they would know that there  have been money transferred to your account. Instead of hiding it from the government, you better report it but that's if there are rules about bitcoin taxes. As long there wasn't any rules about bitcoin taxes, it's still fine.

You just cannot hide it from the government and they are going to implement progressive taxation for it is in their interest if they implement such a policy. But when there are policies implemented by the government, there would be regulations as well and this will reduce the crime ratio for Bitcoin is often used for transaction of money for illegal activities.
There are other reasons why the government would implement regulations and taxation like they might also improve the facilities for users to understand Bitcoin.
362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I lost 10000$ in trading, what should I do? on: August 12, 2018, 06:23:50 AM
it is the beginning, do not despair, stay motivated because failure is a success that has not been achieved.

This is not a very big issue. It happens in the start when you are not experienced enough in the market. One should they to expand his/her knowledge about the technology every new day because if you go with time, you will be able to escape losses in future by making good decisions and not bad decisions. Besides, a long term investment gives you enough money in the end which meet the margin of the money you have lost in the start and helps you earn even more.
363  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the bitcoin be outdated by another currency? on: August 12, 2018, 06:12:12 AM
all possibilities can occur, but all that is still in a very long process, I hope bitcoin will always be there and not be replaced by other currencies

There is a possibility that one of the coin in the future can actually surpass the price of bitcoins and i believe that ethereum has a good potential in the market because there are a lot of people who are interested on investing in it.

Normally the sensitive period of a new technology to survive is its starting days and Bitcoin faced a great deal of criticism and hurdles but somehow was able to  escape the trap due to its great technology and so many befits and perks.
Right now, majority of the portion of the market is captured by Bitcoin and this coin is still improving and growing so as long as there is growth and technological advancement, Bitcoin will not be outdated and outshined. ETH is considered to have much better technology but even still we have the highest demand for Bitcoin and highest inflow of money into Bitcoin for it is an asset having high liquidity and high profitability and has a high demand.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I lost my coin. on: August 10, 2018, 12:46:26 PM
I have lost Hugh amount of bitcoin, and I believe some person's here too have gone through same. Can we please share our experience and lessons.

There are many who have lost in the initial stages of their trading or some have lost in the ponzi schemes. I am one of those who lost in ponzi schemes literaaly everything i had. But somehow i mamged to pull back and recoveres my losses and earned even profit.

My story is actually more of Ponzi schemes after looking for different ways on how to increase my bitcoin until I ended up losing everything at the end of it all which I believe so many people in their early years may have fallen for a bunch of this. Most times, losing of coin is mostly mistakes on the part of the holders which could be as a result of security carelessness in the case of the OP, or trying to look for things where you cannot find them in the case of Ponzis.
365  Economy / Economics / Re: Tax on the crypto currency! What do you think? on: August 10, 2018, 12:27:47 PM
Of course taxes on the crypto currency are a good idea, if the country wants to take taxes on the cryptocurrencies, including exchanges, then automatically they must recognize the existence of crypto so that it becomes a good guarantee for the future.

I think if there are taxes imposed on the bitcoins, then governments might take interest in it and who knows the regulations and adaptions of bitcoins become much more faster. So in a way it is good for bitcoin community.

Most definite! One thing with taxing something is that it is considered acceptable by the government as an asset and it is believed that anyone holding is subjected to capital gain tax
It is a good thing though knowing that even if the space is going to be regulated in a way, although every country will simply be coming up with its own taxation policies, we can at least all have a common ground which sounds to me more like a mutual benefit between the government and the community.
366  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Money = Cashless Society on: August 10, 2018, 12:05:36 PM
We already have a pretty much cashless society most of the part. We use our cards either credit card or debit card to pay many stuff and not carry all our cash with us.
Now that banks are also working on mobile apps really hard and try to make mobile phones and tablets into PoS systems so people can pay from their own mobile app account and login and just read a QR code and the seller will have their own mobile app or tablet app and get paid with the app there, which will help us get rid of PoS systems as well. Bitcoin will need a lot more improvements to pass banks .
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is officially dead on: August 10, 2018, 11:52:09 AM
What does Ethereum dead mean? Following this logic, we then entire crypyo market is dead  Cheesy
And the fact that many altcoins continue to evolve no one takes into account? And Ethereum including. Now it accumulates power in the form of a huge number of tokens on the basis of ERC platform. In October we expect the decision about regulation cryptocurrency and then we will fly to the Moon.

Just wanted to write here the same things. It is fancy to think that Ethereum is dead (moreover, officially!). Really, why not say then that Bitcoin died already? Of course, ETH is alive, as well as the whole market.

That dead man still has a capitalization of $36 billion and $2 billion in daily volume. Looks quite alive for me.

It is incredibly funny that I just wrote to a topic that stated ethereum might become the future of crypto and become the biggest coin.
Now I am writing on a topic that says ethereum is "officially" dead. How can a crypto currency be "officially" dead? Who decides that to make it "official"? I have been around the crypto currency market for over 5 years now and have seen and lived many things during these 5 years but one thing I will never understand is the people who say their "opionions" like "facts". This is your opinion, not a fact, stop promoting it like it is a fact.

370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Frustrations: Losing Streak on: August 08, 2018, 11:27:16 AM
At first I got a big win in sports betting and after a few days I played again with a crazy parlay system, day by day I kept losing until I ended up running out of capital and frustration increasing.
Well the fault was theta you fell for the parley system of wins. Having a large green streak is not always possible and thus you are bound to lose one or two in a parley if you have several bets lined up there. The thing you should have done is that you should have stopped betting after some time in order to recover by other means (not by gambling).

Quote
Basically dealing with frustration depends on the personality of myself, I happen to have no blind emotion and I can still fully control my emotions as the emotions increase, so everything is still okay.
Frustration is an emotion. Hence not being able to control it shows you have no control over it. This is common and you can overcome it with time.
If you deal with it in a correct manner then you can overcome that emotions, being frustrated is the biggest mistake a gambler should never have, this game of luck should be played wisely and emotionless as time goes by and being engaged to much will bring two things, getting addicted or being professional, you have to choose your correct path and still enjoy, or quit and forget about this gambling activities.
It’s obvious that if we are not able to control our frustration, we have no control over it and by the passage of time we can get control over time but still that time span would be much more than you and I can imagine, maybe it will take the whole life to get control over it and under that time span, we would definitely face a lot of things that will make us much frustrated.

What would even bring about such a frustration in the first place is for such a gambler to have expected to get something huge from gambling or expecting a win at all cost.
This is the main reason why they usually end up missing it as they keep getting to push their luck further during moments like this. The best is to just know that you cannot easily win when it comes to gambling except you are just extremely lucky, and with that there would be no form of frustration whatsoever.
371  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will not perish on: August 08, 2018, 11:08:21 AM
I think there are many threads with same meaning but different words.

Bitcoin is not going to die, neither is crypto industry. Ups and Downs are part of any market and they'll keep appearing. If every time we think that bitcoin is dead when price goes down then bitcoin would have died long before 2013. Besides Bitcoin is the king of crypto, or say the mothercoin. It isn't going anywhere.

If bitcoin was going to die, this would have happened a long time ago and that amuses me that so many people are not actually getting that but they are simply letting the whole fluctuation and volatility in price get to them which they should even be seeing as an opportunity instead if they understand the possible value this space is going to be creating in the long run.
BTC have more chances to glow than perish and we are just starting the journey to the moon which we are even yet to take off as far as I am concerned.
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your plan? on: August 07, 2018, 03:07:54 PM
Alright now, CRYPTOS running some!! Time to check your emotions, feelings, and mental toughness.

Get your plan together, are you going to hold, swing trade, or get back to even and say screw it I'm out??
For now my plan is to HOLD market is not stable, prices is down for those who want to buy its time to buy more and hold. Im sure your holding will be more profitable next year.

Holding is not just my thing most especially when the market is highly low as it is but I see the idea of buying more at these dips and then holding as the better chance for a much more profit in the long run.
The market will generally recover and there is absolutely no doubt about that, but what is more important is to take advantage of what some people are terming negative now and convert it to positive for ourselves when the FOMO kicks in eventually.

374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbetting on: August 05, 2018, 04:20:26 PM
Sport betting? I do not see in any big difference will be possible when it comes to sport betting. What you are doing is to look at the possibility of a win from one side based on some of the factors that could limit one from winning the other and place your bet on that.
Where on earth does mathematics come into that? I feel we attach too much to gambling that we totally lose focus to the point of gambling in the first place. You are making assumptions and predictions with your chances fully being based on luck anyway.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good amount to invest? on: August 05, 2018, 04:07:07 PM
To be honest, I put $2000 into crypto when I was a newbie. Be cautious. Do not play the game if you cannot pay the price for it. Please calculate the risks and profits.
There is no ideal amount. I think you should also protect your investment and reduce the risks by diversifying your portfolio. Invest whatever amount of money you can lose without regrets.

One good thing with altcoin though is that it is a high risk, high profit kind of market and you really want to be careful which starts from not being too greedy.
One thing though is, one can make shit load of profit from altcoins and it is more of a short term thing as far as I am concerned anyway, and those who are smart enough to take advantage of that can make a lot from it, but some knowledge about trading helps a lot as well. We can invest any big amount also for huge returns but we need to be sure that we can afford that on the vent of losses.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Will Kill Cash ? Is this True on: August 05, 2018, 03:57:23 PM
Bitcoin can never kill cash ever. It is impossible, debit/credit cards are something we use daily and they are global and have been around forever yet still we use cash in some of our expenses.
Hence, even those bitcoin can get as big as debit card at a maximum, it can't kill cash because it is not as easy to use as cash, however debit card limit is actually a great limit for bitcoin to reach, consider how many people use cards everywhere, reaching those levels would increase the bitcoin adaptability to insane levels and increase the user count for bitcoin to a huuuge number.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: Wise thing to do with your savings. on: August 05, 2018, 03:47:02 PM
If you are not afraid of risk then please invest in ICO, perhaps they will make you profit many times the amount you have initially, so take the risk and the wealth will come to you.

I think wisest choice is to diversify. If you diversify enough for as many different things as possible than you will have as little risk as it could be. If you have 100 dollars saved to give an example than you should put 10 dollars in crypto only, you can put 5 of it on bitcoin and the rest 5 can be stuff you believe that will skyrocket and riskier.
With that case if you lost most of that money you are losing only 5% of your investment. Rest should be in gold, stocks, bonds, indexes and so forth for the stuff that are steadier.
378  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is Bitcoin still a slave of Fiat? on: August 05, 2018, 03:32:29 PM
Why is Bitcoin tied to Fiat? Why is Bitcoin value moving like a stock? satoshi said the value will be derived by the limit of total coins. But we are seeing the opposite. Why dont we mathematically calculate the value of bitcoin according to the amount of bitcoin mined?

Like

Agreed Value * Bitcoins Mined = New Value

0.0010 * 1 = 0.0010
0.0010 * 2 = 0.0020

Because we still can't buy a burger with bitcoin, we still can't buy a can of cola with bitcoin, we can't pay our electricity bill with bitcoin. Honestly the best way that the bitcoin can spread around the world is payment options, the more things we pay with bitcoin will mean more bitcoin will get independent from fiat.
Until that happens people are still using fiat to pay for all of those things. Also there are people who buy and sell bitcoin because they want to get rich quick. They are ruining bitcoin for all of us.

380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum a good investment? on: August 03, 2018, 11:18:22 AM
Is Ethereum a good investment?

I think ethereum is a good choice if you will invest after bitcoin, but if you have much better money you invest in bitcoin, and do hold to high price because now is the moment to buy coins

That is exactly how I order the crypto currencies chronologically. ETH is the second good coin which is the preferred spot for investment in the market after Bitcoin.
This is because in a short duration since ETH has been launched, it has attained a great position in the market and has managed to capture the second big share in the market as well. Bitcoin on the other hand has the biggest market cap and the expansion in this technology is proving more effective by making various companies across the world adapt Bitcoin. So both are worth investing in.
