Update: team continues to work on the software refactor. we have leaderboards ready but we will hold on all marketing and promotions besides affiliate program until we finish refactor. refactor is needed to fix bugs, stop introducing new bugs, and give team ability to add features. the swc team decided that we must improve the product before marketing and new promotions. it is slow and careful process, but team making good progress and active development is full strength.

Every now and then I see an update but I have no clue what changed.. Can we get some patch notes or something and some timeline on bugs? When will I be able to write a note on a player that is more than one line?

Changelogs will come after our refactor is finished. Team agrees they should be posted here and on our website.

This update was to address some, but not all, of the bugs introduced during the last update. The update process has been painful and was a big reason for doing a total refactor.

SwC team is working hard to bring the players improved software.

For people who get tickets, do they also get prizes? I did not see the tournament prize distribution.

The ticket that BIG BTC satellites award gets you into the 10,000 chip buy in BIG BTC.
The BIG BTC runs on the last Sunday of each month.

LESS THAN 5 HOURS AWAY

Satellites running now!

Caps are only really necessary when it's very unclear what the pricepool will be, but I get that it may be easier from a coding/reliability standpoint.

One solution might be to have a percentage and a cap so SwC could lock a set amount from both players to guarantee the funds. Unique features like this could add a fun new element to the game.

(also include crossbooking please!)

We have recorded this idea, team loves it!
internal discussion was about crossbooking with a maximum loss amount and both parties would lock up the maximum loss amount at the start of the tournament.

SwC is making progress with software refactor. It is a large project and we are still months away from showing the players what we are building. While the first steps will be focused on security and fixing bugs, we are at a time where we can now start to prioritize features. Below is a short list of features the team has been discussing internally, and they want to hear from players what would be most desired features you want us to build first

1. Bring back no-limit 2-7 single draw
2. in-client tournament last longer betting
3. open face Chinese without 100 point cap
4. open face Chinese tournaments
5. different mixed games combos
6. more avatars
7. more deposit options (with all play still in bitcoin, deposits converted to chips)

let the team know what you are most excited about!

I think for this the best is if the withdrawal or cashout option will be instant or even less than few minutes you get your money.

We look at every cashout by hand to make sure they are legitimate. This has been policy for whole time that site exists and we don't plan to change it. Compared to the industry our poker cashouts are very fast.

what are you doing outside of the twitter-verse or bitcointalk-verse to get more new blood into the ecosystem? Is there any planned promotion coming up like that?

SwC will continue to build better software and continue to sign up high quality affiliates.

Today we are focused on building, once we are satisfied with our software we will do a big marketing spend.

The BIG BTC tickets are often won for less than par value. This is by design, a way for the site to give back to the players and help create a big monthly tournament. We don't want a small group of players to win the majority of the seats, we want to spread this promotion to a wider group of players so we made the rule that tickets cannot be transferred or cashed in. It is a promotion for each player to have a chance to cheaply qualify for the BIG BTC, and we will keep it like that for now.

MrHodl's Bitcoin Twitter Showdown is getting a lot of attention, and we got many emails to support for it. Please understand only @mrhodl on twitter can give you the password, and he is only giving passwords to bitcoin twitter personalities to make this a special event for that community. Only @mrhodl will determine who is in the bitcoin twitter community. SwC is hosting the event for him and providing a free seat for the satellite, which is open to all players.

What safety measures do you have in place to prevent X amount of people concluding together on a table to take all of one persons money.

I see your rake is low, but do you guys publish your total profit anywhere? Or the amount of money you rake in per day

SwC does not publish rake or profit data. We monitor collusion in a number of different ways, including both algorithms and human eyes. We do not disclose our exact methods because that would make them less effective. SwC takes collusion very seriously and responds to collusion at managements discretion.

All the regressions introduced by that botched June update have not yet been fixed. There are quite a few annoying bugs that I and other players have reported in this thread.

Before talking about "refactoring" I would suggest focusing to undo the breakage first, it should not be too hard, no new features, just revert the bugs. And a bit of regression testing and quality control before launching an update would not hurt.

SwC recognizes the last update introduced new bugs and must be fixed.
Rolling back software may not seem that hard, but it is a complex process for us today, part of the reason we are doing a large software refactor is to make it easier and faster for us to deliver updates or roll back if needed.
Security is the top concern at SwC so we will continue to go slow and careful.
Estimate late next week for a client update to address current issues.
