Does anyone here actually know how high the income from the private sale was? I can't find any exact information on the homepage.
But it would be interesting how high the reserves are, if the now 150million tokens want to buy back.
Me too I didn't hear anything about it but if I'm not mistaken they really got some good amount there for the project? I guess they really will going to do it and do the buy back program without any problem. Did they disclose the exact numbers about what was raised in the private sale? It's a good question but I think they won't publish it if they haven't already done it by now. But I am sure they won't announce a 150MM token buy-back program if that would bear the risk that the project runs out of funds. I can't remember if I read it any where; as far as my knowledge is extended I don't think they mentioned it any where for that matter. I am guessing they go enough not to go for the public sale. I think I saw it in one of their articles but I can't recall the figures they raised exactly. But i know that institutional investors actually invested a much. Institutional investment means a great deal because huge some of money is usually the case here I really like to believe COVA have a good deal of investors because their technology is awesome Yea, they wouldn't have gotten that large number of investment in the first place if they have a bad technology to showcase to investors, though i don't know the specific amount generated but i believe its quite huge for them to have gone this far and still progressing, so its quite an interesting project and we hope to see them keep up the good work |

I am actually struggling to get the correlation between buying back program and the plan to raise funds to get their dapp prepared, I actually thought they needed to go through another round of funding to get the money raised Did they actually state that they are looking for avenues to raise funds?, well if yes, i believe they will use private investors as their main source to achieve that, just like they initially did, the buy-back program revolves around building value around the token, so i think they are two different things with each focusing on its aspect, with a clear definition |

Everyone in the crypto space is talking about Covalent. The team has been smart in making decisions. Now, we would have some dApps on Covalent Ecosystem. That’s certainly going to give COVA more value. I wouldn’t miss the next phase of cova token buyback.
That a good decision. COVA Tokens buyback phase I would end in two days. Next would be the phase II and it’s going to be huge. Also, I can’t wait to see Covalent team next announcement on the dApp Ecosystem. It was indeed a good decision by the team and i hope it tuns out successful by a way of increasing the value of the token to some high amount, it must not be that significant but at least a little impact, they have really been stepping up their game which took a lot of individuals including myself by surprise, its the kind of project that we hope to see become successful |

I wonder how the team thinks their developer adoption is doing, i've seen some solid mentions on twitter and other social media about the dapps and performance, that its good that the team is finally getting some acknowledgment from developers
I guess we will see how fast they can achieve a wider adoption when the first DApps on their protocol are released. It will be interesting to see what exactly the first DApps will be and how they will look like. You're right, that's probably the point where everyone is looking at and its actually going to be a game changer for Cova if they get the necessary implementation right, before the actual launch of their platform, developers have been invited cross the globe by the team and i'm pretty sure that they are excited as to see how the whole thing turns out |

Their were private investors! and team released some token on market through the BITMAX Airdrop and sold some when they first came in the market! in simple word they are buying back from circulating supply! The decision they took about going for private investors was a good one and it really turned things in their favor, only serious individuals will want to go for the token and they will have to do that by buying and not just the usual massive airdrop campaigns that has messed up the entire system, other upcoming brands have also started doing such It was smart to have only a private sale. A public sale would've held the risk that the project got regulatory problems. You're right,i wouldn't support the idea of projects going for airdrops, if such is to be done, then it should be adjusted to a very minimum level, this way, the amount in circulation will be reduced and interested parties can get much more by investing, even though airdrop has been seen as a means of creating fast awareness, the disadvantages are much when compared to advantages |

Also Cova protocol is growing and has attracted a lot of attention at an unexpected pace. I don’t know much about the use of Cova protocol in developing dApps for gaming and as an entertainment platform for crypto users but the buy back would drive adoption of cova data privacy model by most private enterprise clients You are right and the whole community seems to be buzzing around the fact that they will implement the buy-back process, which will do a lot of good for Cova, this past few weeks has been good for them and their social media page seems to have gotten some boost in the past few days, so a lot seems to be happening within the shortest amount of time |

Its a balance thing i think they are still working on, they are a developer focused group from what i've seen so lots of dev work and planning but not much on the advertising side which is both a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it
Individuals do have their level of specialities. If they think they lack specialist in that area, they should look into rectifying that as soon as possible because social. Media activity is a strong point and medium of marketing for crypto projects and blockchain in general. Having a strong social media presence can be very tasking, it takes a lot to achieve the needed results because having a substantial information to give the public can sometimes be lengthy due to the fact that due processes have to be carried out first, that was why is suggested something about dropping news relevant to the blockchain industry to keep the community going before something pops up |

I think they probably need to get a social media manager to really take over their social channels, the team seems to be mostly developers and not so much marketers, and if they want to really get adoption they are going to up their social and general marketing power a lot over the next year or 2
Yeah, I also noticed that most of their team members are into developers type but if I'm not mistaken they have some marketing team too. But it's also good to see that they are really active on developments. Well development is the whole basis of the existence of the brand, Cova is all about providing us with adequate security for our data and as you all know, that's a very sensitive aspect that requires all the best hands that they can get, coupled with massive trials and tests, like on a constant basis for them to be ahead of intruders, its not going to be easy |

I read a lot about the testnet and its impressive performance. Is it already know when their mainnet will be released? Will it already be this year?
I don't think any date has been given yet as launching a network is really a hard job where you have to make sure everything is fine from core as once its done they cant really make any change! but be sure that this will be released by this year! No date released about that yet. But I believe it will be passed across to the public when it's time. They most likely are working towards getting everything perfectly in place before going public. Not so sure though, just assuming There seems to be a conflict of informative here, some are stating the fact that the testnet has been done while others are saying the opposite, so which one is the authentic information?, personally i have not seen any official information regarding that aspect, unless i'm mistaken, so if such news has been released, then an official link should be made available |

This is indeed accurate, the recent happenings in the internet world has come to open the eyes of the world as to how important data security is and COVA is profering something extraordinary which millions would have hoped we had sooner. I guess you are talking about the recent data leak where more than 700 million mail-addresses and passwords were leaked? Would Cova really be able to prevent such things from happen again by introducing their smart data? that is what they are trying to solve and i expect the scenario to be in this format " That my personal data should only be visible in X platform and not in other platforms" by so doing hackers can't make sense of hacked data Recently Facebook did this 10yrs challenge and had a lot of people coming into the challenge without really knowing the reason behind the campaign, some say facial recognition and I feel is something deep Yea, saw something about that on the twitter page of Cova, though i didn't bother to go deep into the article, i may eventually look into that in due time but i believe that such may be all about collation of data and making money out of it, which is the norm which we are used to but the public is just too naive to look into that aspect but rather submit to such process |

The issue is quite deep and bigger than any of us, brands are ripping off our data and every app is by one way or the other trying to have access to our privacy, you get to see apps now requesting to have access to our gallery and much more, so i believe Cova has so much holes to fill, to help eradicate the incessant issues of data been stolen and much more You are right, there are so many areas in which our data are queried. Cova has a lot to do here. I haven't thought about the apps yet, so far I only thought about filling out forms on the internet:-) But our data and pictures come from so many different sources that you can easily lose track of them. Yea, its actually not a funny situation and its a known fact that they collect our data even before we know what's happening, that's if we actually know that our data has been compromised, i'm not even sure that there are strict laws in place to avoid that, so we are defenseless and at the mercies of the third party or big corporate brands to use our data as they please |

It’s been some time since I last saw a post from anyone from team Cova. There are a whole lot of people showing interest in Covalent internet protocol and trying to keep up with their investment here but there’s no one from the team to reply questions.
Honestly your more likely to get response from the actual team on their telegram as i don't they they really did much posting on bitcointalk i'd imagine its just too hectic to keep track of threads in here when they have a direct form of communication available like telegram You are right, keeping track of projects through this channel can be hectic but its best to also keep track of what's happening as an investor, this will help one to stay up to date of with the latest and be on the safe side by avoiding issues like FUD and getting authentic information, combining this channel and their telegram is enough to get all the needed information |

Most project teams seem to neglect the fact that popular social media channels like telegram, twitter, Reddit, weChat, medium and other blogs could be effectively used to build more interest in the project. Great projects like Covalent needs to interact more with the community. Communication is like the blood that flows through the veins of every brand and they have to judiciously use it if they tend to succeed, initially Cova wasn't much of a talker and their social pages was kinda dormant but over the past few months, things have changed dramatically and the outcome has been a welcome development, i do hope that it stays that way |

To my knowledge yes they are quite active i've talked to a few of them on occasion to find out how development is going the team seems pretty friendly and excited about the project which i think is a good sign of where things are headed. I do agree with you, their activeness can be seen with the ongoing implementations across the community, the past few months has given us a clear evidence that they do mean business, i mean, we got to see a lot of brands phase out because of the downtrend and yet Cova was busy giving us updates, i must say that they took a lot of us by surprise |

What is happening to COVA? I know the markets have been bearish over the last week but the $COVA 24-hour trading volume has really dropped off. On 06/01 there was nearly $1m trading volume, now there is less than $100k!? I hope we can see more positive trading sentiment over the next month or so.
I think this is a good time to get more cova token. It’s yrading at a very low discounted price. You could get more cova tokens for less USD. Once protocol gets launched it’s going to spike once again. There seem to be no end date for the protocol to be made active just yet At least no twitter message no blog post to that effect, but I can see the COVA NYX active is that the protocol we all waited? I think there's more to be done at the moment and just like i stated earlier, updates can sometimes be difficult because its logical to state that something tangible has to come out before the team will update the community but i also suggested that team can use other modes of communication like sharing relevant information about the blockchain industry to the public |

Oh i've been slowly building up a little bit every time the market dips its a great time for those people who are monitoring as things are going on, the industry is in a lul but as is the case with most markets it will rebound, the dotcom bubble was a perfect example
I think those people monitoring the trading price and daily volume of Covalent tokens would get lucky. You could find the right time to buy more tokens and sell off when the price goes higher. Preferably swing trade. Yea, opportunities abound with the ups and down of the volume, its all about been lucky but just a few can handle the technicalities involved in trading or the stomach to swallow losses, i'm more of the type that just sits and watch things unfold  and its nice to see that positive feedbacks are continuously dropped by the community and the team |
