Hi there,

S9's are available in the market, just ordered mine and received it in a short time without any hassle from China, Man, cant say anything about new generation but the vendor from whom I ordered he had S9's, D3's and L3+. If you want to order S9's this vendor is trust worthy. this is their whatsapp number: +total scammer but please send me money anyway

Happy Mining
Hope it may help you
Peace!
Enough with the spamming the same ad over and over again in different threads dude...

<massive snip>
its obviously fake and a total scam, why such more people are keep falling to this kind of modus? no one in this cruel world would give you free money unless your doing it an effort or a  task or in airdrop for example. iI'e seen many people complaining because they scammed by scammers and it is actually their fault.
Because taken as a whole, huge numbers of the General Public can be very naive. Totally clueless in how the world works at even the most basic level.

It only takes a few of them taking the bait hook, line, and sinker every now and then to keep the scammers feeding. In a way ya sorta feel sorry for the rubes that get taken - often for thousands of $$ but mainly ya just want to

And as for the scammers themselves....
3603  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive BTCGarden AM V1 Setup [HD] on: September 20, 2017, 07:25:39 PM
Forget getting chips. The BE200 is long long long out of production. To the chip Foundries miner chips are boutique items and are produced in very limited numbers so zero chance of finding unused chips. Only hope is to find dead miners and harvest the chips from them.

I can't see any link to order from the Bitmain website everything is out of stock.

So it seems, but what other chip works with the BTCGarden unit. I have just been intouch with Bitfury, minimum order $500k around 72k ASICs (bit much considering would need a few hundred in any case to test out etc. before such an investment) looking at alternatives. Have just asked NXP, Renesas & Toshiba about ASICs, but then the design needs altering or start from scratch. (eagle parts foot prints etc. more work)
NONE. Miners are specifically designed to work with specific ASICs.
Mining ASICS are very much custom devices made per the design specs from Bitmain, Canaan, Bitfury et al. They are NOT generic devices...

^^ Bitch, bitch, bitch...
Ya *do* know that we are still a couple blocks ahead of what the expected number is right?
3605  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Question on Mining with Avalon 6 miners - AUC & cord on: September 20, 2017, 04:08:28 PM
Actually the AUC is a USB to I2C/SPI converter. Just Google AUC USB-I2C converter and you will find several. Just make sure the connectors on them look right.
3606  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S9. Is it best to wait for shipment batch or pay high price on ebay? on: September 20, 2017, 03:58:15 PM
First read Bitcoin Mining 101.
In short miners of ANY sort are power hungry - all of which translates directly into heat - and they are LOUD. Can you deal with that?

Only YOU can make that decision because only YOU know your financial situation, power costs, willingness for financial risk etc.

Other folk's opinions are just that - opinions based on their situations and not yours.

As for

Will they ship enough units for the demand?
Bitmain, Canaan (Avalons) and the other miner makers sell out their limited production runs very quickly. They ship all they can make as fast as they can be made. Main problem is the ASIC chip availability from TSMC who is the Foundry that Bitmain, Canaan, and Bitfury use to produce their chips. Mining chips are Boutique items and are not made in anywhere near Mass-Market Consumer-electronics quantities.

Maybe some CK solos will get impatient waiting for a block now and jump in the pool with us?   Cheesy

The whole point of the PPLNS here is to penalize pool hoppers.
M

You are not penalized for pool hopping with PPLNS.  You will get paid for every share you submit.  The ramp up and the trail off before you start mining and after you stop mining will take time.  But that is different from being penalized.

That's being penalized in my book. Smiley
M
For the typical impatient ADHD-like attention span of altcoin miners ya. Takes them too long to see results so they move along before too much damage is done though in all fairness yes it does speed up finding blocks for the rest of us.

Not sure if Profit-switching algos like used in Awesome Miner factor in ramp up/down time. I don't mine alts and since EMC shut down a few years back have no reason to leave here so never even looked at that part of Awesome. Safe bet it can also track 'pool profitability' along with the various coins themselves.
3608  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Best ASIC miner (L3+, D3, S9, etc.) cooling setups on: September 20, 2017, 01:15:04 AM
It seems a lot of people forego HVAC systems for just straight mechanical ventilation (fans in/fans out... no "conditioning"). Just move the air in/out faster.
To hopefully shorten the growing list of folks trying to re-invent the wheel (cooling a miner farm) along with suggesting doing a Forum search, start with this Whitepaper-blog post from Schneider Electric about data center cooling and getting a handle on airflow needs..

Lots of other very pertinent info on that site dealing with cooling setups, power, etc...
3609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hydrominer is making a smart mining farm in Alps on: September 19, 2017, 06:18:22 PM
a. ICO's are altcoin-based and have NOTHING to do directly with Bitcoin.... This is the BTC area where you posted. Bet the Mods move it.
b. Belongs either in Altcoin Speculation or Announcements
c. Most ICO's turn out to be scams or pump-n-dump Ponzi's
3610  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Best ASIC miner (L3+, D3, S9, etc.) cooling setups on: September 19, 2017, 06:09:27 PM
All flavors of cooling methodologies are already EXTENSIVELY covered in many many threads here... Pick any-1 of them and it applies to all miners.
And -- this area is for Bitcoin hardware ONLY - altcoin discussions are verboten and will be moved by mods to where they belong.
3611  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Comprehensive list of BTC Miners. on: September 19, 2017, 05:20:49 PM
I've seen ASIC chips with PCI contacts. Would it be absurd for me to postulate a DIY ASIC miner with a modified OS or some type of special mining software with the PCI ASIC mining chips or does that sound insane? I'm still learning a lot about the ASIC chips and miners
And still learning apparently about electronics in general... Kudos for that but....
Chips do not use contacts like that of any sort -- boards do. Chips either use pins, pads, or balls for contacts.
You talking about the old BFL Monarch-style miner cards? Yes they plugged into PCIe slots but were still actually USB devices.
3612  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: September 19, 2017, 05:04:06 PM
ETA: Just noticed that the US distributor (Miner Warez) raised the price of 741s by $100 since my order. That sucks a bit... Website says a new batch will be available on their website on the 20th, though.

Looks like rule number 1 is out the window.
$100 more than they were  is *meh* and to me still seems on the low end of what from a standard resale business standpoint would be added as markup to a distributors cost. All in all, considering that Amazon and eBay scalpers have been seen to advertise them for over $1k more I'd hardly bitch all things considered. Do keep in mind that miners are not mass-produced on the typical Consumer electronics scale of several hundreds of k to millions of units per-month. They are very much Boutique items and priced as such.

In my biz (industrial lasers) standard markup on components is over 100%. Systems we build sell for well over 200% of component, labor and other overhead costs Cheesy In short, pricing is set by what the market supports.

The good part for us is that because Canaan is at least trying not doing regional exclusive distributorships they (the Official Distributors) will have have to keep that in mind as others are setup. The good old Competition Is Good thing ya know? Wink
3613  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive BTCGarden AM V1 Setup [HD] on: September 19, 2017, 02:50:25 PM
let me try a shoot in the dark on this topic.
Anyone still using a BTCgarden AMV1 X2 ?
I am having an issue, cgminer shows 343 accepted, but the antpool shows hashing at 1.54TH/s and 0
accepted.
I had a lot of Antminers in the past but all broke beyond repair, the only one that last is this BTCGarden.
I guess if no response back will have to open new topic.

I`d like to but they`re out of business. Can`t help with experience. What was the main problem with your Antminers, what broke them if you don`t mind the ask. Where to get ASIC chips to suit BTCGarden, got the build files & easy enough for a pcb house, but the main bits?

Cheers
Forget getting chips. The BE200 is long long long out of production. To the chip Foundries miner chips are boutique items and are produced in very limited numbers so zero chance of finding unused chips. Only hope is to find dead miners and harvest the chips from them.

As for dead Ants -- where are you running them? I have had over 100 of them from s1 up to the latest s9's and have had very very few problems even with my s9's. Zero dead ones. Ever. Bitmains R4, ja POS -- have 3 of them, 2 are perfect, 1 lost a hash board within 25hrs of starting.
3614  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Setup to earn 1.000$ on: September 19, 2017, 01:24:17 PM
I need a base calculation for starting. How about BTC price will be fixed and I have free energy? Can you make a suggestion?
Huge problem right from the start - BTC exchange rate is very far from fixed! Typical daily changes can be several hundred US$ and over the last 2 weeks it changed by almost $2k

If you have free energy AND CAN REMOVE THE HEAT AND DEAL WITH THE NOISE then BTC price does not matter too much because you *will* make money. How fast you make money is a different matter.

Roll Eyes Why do so many folks overthink this?
All that matters is the same for any business: Subtract cost of rent and utilities from gross monthly income. Apply a percentage of what is left to paying off miner. What is left after that is Profit.
3615  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Crisis of hashing power domination by China on: September 19, 2017, 12:16:54 AM

Seriously though, this is a tempest in a teapot.
The ICO's will finally be regulated the same as IPO's are  to remove the Ponzi and/or pump-n-dump players/scammers. Aslo need to point out that ICO's are NOT Bitcoin instruments. They are AFAIK 100% an aberration of the altcoin world.

Exchanges will have to act like any other bank or securities trading exchange eg follow AML/KYC rules and keep sufficient cash reserves on hand for customer accounts.

I see this as only Good things for the crypto coin world.

Many of these people dont like my terms. My terms are dont be greedy. Its why I will rarely give an exclusive.  Number one goal for me is to be able to put the miners in the hands of individuals  for around the same price as they would have paid before.

Again, Kudos!

Just as with having so few miner makers, exclusive distributorships are NEVER good. All it leads to is the scalping seen on Amazon, eBay et al. Sure a part of the market will pay the premium -- as a LAST RESORT.

Canaan is on the right track by looking for reputable distributors who will price fairly and provide decent customer support.
3617  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Setup to earn 1.000$ on: September 18, 2017, 11:22:30 PM
As Alh said:
a. First comes your cost of electric. Mining eats a LOT of power. Be it mining BTC or altcoins - and they are VERY different things as far as hardware needed -- you are talking about using at least several kW of power. Period. Is your electric rate cheap enough so mining income not only exceeds cost of feeding (power) but of course produces positive income to apply to the proverbial ROI? That leads to,

b. All of that power is turned into heat. Many kW of heat, for reference, 1kW = 3,416BTU/hr of heat. The miners move that heat with high speed fans. Can you REMOVE that heat and deal with the noise?

Think about those things first.

That new difficulty SUCKS peas!  Sad

It does!  Let's hope that the price will jump up to 5k pretty quick to make up for that 20% jump!  Wink
And/or the BTC network sees it as an over-correction and compensates.... What's the average Block time look like since the diff rise?
Wonder what the control loop's PID values and constants are?
3619  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain on: September 18, 2017, 11:03:32 PM
What is Bitmain? I haven't heard of it before and would like to know your experience with it.

Bitmain is the largest producer, supplier of mining equipment popular as antminer and are the largest miners with plenty of farms around china.

I just heard it, Can you give more information ?

I've had good luck ordering from Bitmain.  Always received a quality product with decent shipping costs.

Good to know. I have just ordered my first item. A D3, coming to my home in England. Which country did your receive your miner?

If anyone has experience with UK customs and import duty, it would be nice to hear.
Use the Forum Search for UK Customs/Duty, VAT etc. Been covered lots of times from s1 days on up (and from what I remember -- OUCH!). Perhaps Google it and let them do some of the sorting...
3620  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: September 18, 2017, 10:55:30 PM
Steve,
Thank you VERY much for being possibly the 1st miner manufacturer to finally lay down a clear marketing path and giving all very valid reasons for it.

re: Bootstrap.
Damn fine idea as is describes exactly how I grew my initial 2x 10GHs Jala's from BFL back in Feb 2014 along with very quickly 4 Ant s1's once they dropped to less than $1.5k each. Those were the total cash investment + 1 of the infamous AMT/Bitmine.ch A1 miners... $8k
After that the farm itself financed all upgrades/expansion to my current 245+THs... As you described - all on a very regular basis. Wish I had more power left where the farm is. Mebe as s9's go titsup (very few prob so far though) I'll work on replacing them with two A741 at a time... Right now is 3/4 s9's and 1/4 A721 & A741's
Cheers!
