3602  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Google Authenticator for Gmail, Coinbase and Blockchain Question for Iphone on: March 29, 2015, 04:42:15 AM
Some services refresh codes(i.e. create new code) if you fail to enter correct code when you setup but this looks like a bug. I suggest you to disable 2FA, remove and install Google Authenticator and re-enable 2FA by scanning codes. Before you do, try to do this:

  • Restart your phone.
  • Enable automatic time update.
  • There is an option to update time in Google Authenticator, use it.

Hope this works. I use Google Authenticator and I ain't having any problem so far.
3603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some questions about Mr. Satoshi. on: March 29, 2015, 04:31:09 AM
I don't understand why he doesn't reveal himself, it's just stupid to play the game of hide & seek.

He should be better than this, reveal himself and go back to work on bitcoin. He just left bitcoin and many people think that he abandoned it which puts a negative reputation to him.

Does anyone1 else agrees?

Probably because he is afraid of Government, Bank agents etc...?

You can't conclude now because we don't know "who" Satoshi is. What if one of the Bitcoin devs is Satoshi? You can't support a thing forever. He gave an idea, helped it in the beginning and gave it into safe hands.
3604  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Q re Android wallet security on: March 29, 2015, 04:26:06 AM
Not sure if "Android debugging" is enabled or not.

Sorry! You won't find an option named "Android debugging" in Settings. Correct name is "USB debugging"*.

* Settings -> Developer Options -> Debugging -> USB debugging.

I use Coinbase on Android - what are the problems you're referring to with this setup?

Coinbase isn't a good wallet because you can't access to private keys. You will have to trust them and if their server is down, you can't access your Bitcoin. They can easily steal your Bitcoin if they want to.

Yes, he did. I sent a PM to TotalShift and his alt, BitHash[1] but I didn't get a reply. If he want an extension, I will give if he ask but this is clearly is a scam attempt.

3607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Multi-owner wallet on: March 28, 2015, 09:16:01 PM
Ok, how does it work? I mean, tell me one that is easy to use, secure, and tell me how to create one. I will look up for multisig so I can see what it is.

I am very poor at explanation. If you want to get a better(/best) answer, it is good to wait for DannyHamilton's post but I am not sure he will post here. Roll Eyes

Multisig addresses needs m-of-n signatures when sending a transaction. Here n refers to maximum number of signatures you need and m refers to minimum number of signatures you need to send a transaction successfully.

Let's say, there are 5 people in your office and you want at-least 4 of them to approve a transaction. Then, you create a 4-of-5 multisig address. If you want to spend an amount from that wallet, minimum of 4 staffs need to approve it, so if only 3 staffs approved it, the funds won't be moved.

"Easy" differs from person to person. If you have a good internet connection and good storage - min. 60+ GB((which I assume you have), then Armory is best choice. If you want to go for lighter ones, I suggest Electrum. If you want to use existing addresses of staffs to sign the transaction, Coinb.io will be a good choice. You must download the zip and better not to upgrade it.

P.S. Electrum have limitations, i.e., you can only create 2-of-2 or 2-of-3 which isn't good if you want more than 2 staffs to approve the transaction.

However , a true christian is forgiven if he reads the right bible i mean not the edited one . The original one . Governments made changes in bible just about their rules there are many hundreads of changes madden in bible.
Bilble is not in its original position

You are right except one. Government did made changes but IMHO priests twisted it a lot than government did. Many priests twisted the meaning instead of changing it. Sad

I always liked and believed in Zakir Naik's these words: "We(Muslims) are more Christian than the Christians themselves!"

Guide me Zakir bhi if i am wrong .

I am afraid I don't have enough knowledge to do it.
3609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Multi-owner wallet on: March 28, 2015, 08:52:21 PM
Use a multisig wallet.

Armory and Electrum would be best choice.

Edit: Sorted according to my likes.

Mistake: Doesn't express that Jesus is God along with His Father and the Holy Spirit. Together they are God. Apart, each of them is God. Yet only One God, not three Gods. Miracle.

It isn't mistake. Jesus isn't God. Don't avoid the truth and bump answered questions/statements under unanswered questions/statements.

Mistake: Doesn't express that Jesus died, arose again, and is alive now.

Jesus didn't die.

Mistake: doesn't express that Jesus made no mistakes... not even one... not even a little one.

I will have to take a look on it. Don't want to comment without reference. Smiley

Mistake: Doesn't express that when Jesus lived and then died, He was taking the punishment for the sins of all the people that ever lived and will live.

Shocked Why should Jesus take it? Jesus never died and even if you believe Jesus did, it was never for the sins of the people. Jesus was attacked because Romans understood Jesus is dangerous to them.

Mistake: Doesn't express that when Jesus arose from death, He was showing that He has power even over death.

Jesus didn't die.

Mistake: Doesn't express that the only way to Heaven is to accept the work that Jesus did for the forgiveness of wrongdoing.

At the time of Jesus, you go to heaven through Jesus. But... this is the time of another prophet. Jesus has told another prophet will come and you must believe in that prophet. Yet, you don't.

Jesus didn't for the sins of people.

Mistake: Doesn't point to the Bible as the only true Word of God.

Wrong! It tells Bible, Jew's holy books were true word of God but it is edited unlike Qur'an.

Lots of mistakes. The list goes on and on, including that the universe as we know it is not billions of years old, but is at absolute most only 25,000, but is probably only 6,000.

Smiley

Wrong. There is no mistakes because all the mistakes you pointed isn't mistakes, it is already solved. Smiley

3612  Other / Meta / Re: Staff Hypocrisy and Selective Enforcement of Rules on: March 28, 2015, 08:10:06 PM
The problem with your logic is twofold:

1. He, as you said is the ADMIN of the site. He claims the trust list is not moderated, yet he, as the admin, stepped in to damage my trust score as a result of a trust rating I left. I was removed from the default trust, why is it then also appropriate to exclude me from a centralized position of authority?
I take issue with his claims of not moderating the trust when he clearly went to exceptional lengths to do so in my case.

Might be the "end of the road". You are now saying "theymos is abusing the trust system" or am I interpreting it wrong?

theymos removed you because he didn't trust your "judgments" but he may still "trust" you. Both are different. He, like everyone else, has the right to moderate "his" trust list.

2. Yes, I could just leave, but then the 3 years I spent building a reputation here would be wasted now wouldn't they? This effort is used as a method to extort anyone who has spent time and money into building a reputation here. Everyone knows if they speak out, they risk having their hard work destroyed, therefore there is a constant state of chill effect against speaking out about abuses from the staff or their buddies like Vod. Anyone else who does not have a reputation that they can threaten to take away, they can simply cast as sock puppets or scammer, then declare the debate over. I just happen to have an exceptionally long and honest trading history, so they have more difficulty marginalizing me (hence the exclusion).

I still don't understand "how". Your received feedback still stay as trusted except a few which were left by users who "you" trusted but your trust rating is still high and is good. I couldn't understand "how your reputation-building was destroyed" and "how your words in signature is true".

However, I understand your feeling but doing this won't do any good to you other than making it worst. I request* you to stop this because your trust isn't destroyed and you are good to trade but your "judgment" needs improvement which causes delay on your return to trust list.

* Neither suggest nor recommend.

3613  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Multi-signature: what it is and a list of services on: March 28, 2015, 06:55:42 PM
AFAIK BIT-X doesn't give any way to recover our Bitcoins if their service is down or if they ran away. So it shouldn't be in one list. I suggest you to create two columns because services and wallet shouldn't be in one list, it is bad.

Standalone wallets:

Armory
mSIGNA
Electrum

Haven't used mSIGNA and Electrum multisig but a +10 for Armory and GreenAddress.

You can also create multisig address(es) easily with Coinb.in.
3614  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Q re Android wallet security on: March 28, 2015, 06:43:50 PM
Can someone outline the potential security risks associated with a wallet on Android?

Like all OS, it has many risks. Java is worst in most languages.

1) What are the risks if the phone is in my possession the entire time (non-rooted Nexus 5)?

If you don't install any suspicious app, you are safe.

2) If the phone is stolen - there is still a password lock on the phone, so Bitcoin can't be sent out unless the phone is unlocked.  But in this event, can I not just access my Bitcoin account online via website on my laptop?

Thief maybe able to do a brute-force attack and also, if you have enabled 'Android debugging', thief can easily remove the lock. I highly recommend you to lock your phone and Bitcoin wallet. An additional app locker will be great too.

No, you can't. If you use Android app of an online wallet like Blockchain.info, Coinbase etc..., you can access your wallet from anywhere. I suggest not to use such wallets as many problems are there. If you really want to use one, Blockchain.info is the best.

You should always make a backup of your private_key/wallet, so that you can recover it if your phone is lost or damaged. If your phone is stolen or lost in a public place, you should move all the BTC to a new address ASAP.

Paying tax for Bitcoin transactions ? What kind of tax Income tax, vat or service tax?
Bitcoin coin is not regulated in India so I believe we need not to pay Any tax for Bitcoin transactions.

Am I thinking right ? Do we have any tax experts on board in our forum?

Thanks

You will have to pay tax for the Bitcoins you own. You calculate the tax looking at the INR/BTC value. You are paying tax because Bitcoin is considered as an asset. Correct me if I am wrong!

He will properbly burn it.. lol

He looks like a good person enough not to do such thing.

Muhammed was a rapist and properbly a psycho.

Prove it.

Anyone could have written the book.

Can you show me one mistake from it? There is no human-errors in it which shows it isn't written by a human unlike new Bible and other holy books. Old holy books from real prophets are words of God but we can't find unedited holy books now.

This is probably not a good idea with all the negative trust that he has.

He is an alt of superSTAR777 who has scammed many people under a number of alts

Thanks for the heads up! I already gave 2 loans to him.

I agree with it. He has many alts.
