Will shipments be made from 29th November onwards, everyday? Meaning those near the end of the the preorder queue could receive their order 9 days later (assuming 100 units a day) than the first preorders? Or will you get them ready for shipping and ship all on the same day? If it's the first scenario, how many units will be shipped per day? Will there be some sort of customs fee to pay for import to the UK?

I'm trying to get some sort of an idea to how well off the first bunch are going to be compared to the last lot, so I'd appreciate it if you could let us know more on this.
You will pay around 25% in taxes for importing in the uk.

At most, 10 hours to go until details released - man it's been a long wait but it's finally almost here Smiley

I using this command from time to time to see if he is still redirecting to btcfpga.com

Code:
curl -sL -w "%{url_effective}\\n" http://www.bitcoinasic.com -o /dev/null

If people are seriously concerned about this - I will allow another 24 hours to get in your pre-orders, but I don't know why it would matter... can someone elaborate as to why this would be of concern?
They, we, are scared about not having bought enough from you
3604  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: High Efficiency FPGA & ASIC Bitcoin Mining Devices https://BTCFPGA.com on: October 21, 2012, 04:34:32 PM
Does anyone know the official refund policy? If someone has a bASIC preorder but doesn't like the specs that come out after midnight, can they get a full refund?

Yes.

After the purchase you might be alerted almost 1 week before of the start of the production, you will than have 1 week to cancel and have a refund.

So BFL will mine for 2-3 month (delaying shipments with some lame excuses from October to November, from November to December, etc.) making shitloads of money. And after that sell/ship their ASICs.

My first thought when I read this thread. By the time it comes to ship them out the difficulty will have been effected by them mining but by then they've already made thousands and who knows maybe even millions from mining and pre-orders.

I just don't understand the point in selling those machines when they could easily hook thousands up themselves and keep the profit. It'd be like giving away a cash machine.
We will know that in January if they states that their product was a failure and they will refund everyone.
3606  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 50% hashing power = unknown... are u scared yet? on: October 21, 2012, 02:09:06 PM
Block finding is up 11% in the past four days, since the record difficulty change of 3,072,322. Somebody definitely turned something on.

This is the bulk of the unknown mining as shown in the pie chart: relayed by 82.130.102.160. However the blockchain.info is not reliable, I was able to verify many of those "mystery" blocks are 50BTC blocks by looking at their pool solved blocks list. The links above were 100% correct on 50BTC blocks for the same period.

Almost sure that this one is the Swiss researcher mining with their university supercomputer (search for previous post about this)

3607  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: here's just how screwed ASIC buyers are - READ THIS if you have a preorder on: October 21, 2012, 02:07:01 PM
I have a low IQ and after reading this, I am scared now.
I fall into a scam by buying BFL asics and also buying bASIC equipment.
Will I loose my money in the near future?
Or will I aggressively adding more units to mine mining operations?
Only time will tell.

If you have low order #ids, and have 50% of orders in both companies, my speculation is that you will not lose more than 50% of your investment, with the opportunity of earning more than you invested.

A low IQ means nothing.
3608  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: High Efficiency FPGA & ASIC Bitcoin Mining Devices https://BTCFPGA.com on: October 21, 2012, 01:25:55 PM
Will this work with EU power voltage? (220-230v) Or would I need a transformer?

Thanks

+1

maybe during this weekend cp will release this info too.
3609  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 50% hashing power = unknown... are u scared yet? on: October 21, 2012, 09:53:15 AM
Is it possible to have an historical version of that graph?
3610  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL offers 1000 BTC back up on power claims on: October 21, 2012, 09:28:21 AM
66 watts DC, or 66 watts AC?

I asked that on the BFL forums,it will be from the wall=120 volt  Wink

That depends on where you live.  For me- from the wall = 240 V

OOO,higher voltage=less wattage Shocked

BFL may get less than 60 watts yet..........over in europe  Cheesy

I know it'll almost be the same in reality.

W=A*V

In Europe the wattage will be the same.
3611  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: High Efficiency FPGA & ASIC Bitcoin Mining Devices https://BTCFPGA.com on: October 20, 2012, 07:28:41 PM
I were still deciding which of the two ASIC units I should get myself. BFL or Tom's hardware.

Consider that if you order a bASIC today, your order will likely ship out with the first batch, whereas if you instead order the mentioned competing product, your order will likely have to wait in the queue a good while after shipping begins before being shipped out.
Nope, untrue.
3612  Other / Off-topic / Re: ACTUAL Butterfly Labs PCB pics! on: October 20, 2012, 09:16:42 AM
I think it's about 30Gh for one board if they are using 65nm, or 60Gh preboard if they are using 40nm.
And i think there must be another heat sink at the backside of the board.
So you suppose a low nanometer product, this would agree with a low power usage, do you think their estimates to be possible?
3613  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL offers 1000 BTC back up on power claims on: October 19, 2012, 11:48:44 PM
Interesting bet. I wonder what Tom's reaction will be.
How do you react to a troll trolling you and your company?
3614  Other / Off-topic / Re: ACTUAL Butterfly Labs PCB pics! on: October 19, 2012, 11:45:37 PM
It's becoming interesting.
3615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The right way to bring the bitcoin value up 10x in 6 months enstabilishing it on: October 19, 2012, 11:28:18 PM
You know what is more likely to happen? Kim Dotcom would accept an alt currency instead of bitcoin for his services just like he did in 2001 or make his own Dotcomcoins.

Quote
In 2001, Schmitz purchased €375,000 worth of shares of the nearly bankrupt company LetsBuyIt.com and subsequently announced his intention to invest €50 million in the company.[28] The announcement caused the share value of LetsBuyIt.com to jump[29] and Schmitz cashed out, making a profit of €1.5 million.
He, as any othe speculator with enought money, may crash the bitcoin economy at any time.
If he accepted litecoin anyway, I would try to follow the ride and speculate myself too.

UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE!!!!

hahahahhaa
3617  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: High Efficiency FPGA & ASIC Bitcoin Mining Devices https://BTCFPGA.com on: October 19, 2012, 05:10:15 PM
I'm putting up 1000 BTC against BFL hardware @ 1.1w / GH against your "competitive" definition.  That's it.  Simple.  Define "competitive" and you can win $12,000.
Why this obsession with wattage per Ghash/s?  It is of no importance whatsoever, as long as they play roughly in the same league.  This whole discussion is pointless.  There are two important factors that determine profitability, assuming both are reasonably stable.  Price per Ghash/s and delivery date.
Shhh!!!
It's a secret!
3618  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: High Efficiency FPGA & ASIC Bitcoin Mining Devices https://BTCFPGA.com on: October 19, 2012, 04:34:19 PM
Who would be interested in a crow-founded bet against Inaba?

The guy above me is correct too!
3620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The right way to bring the bitcoin value up 10x in 6 months enstabilishing it on: October 19, 2012, 12:39:35 PM
Maybe you are right about it not bringing the value up 10x. Guess what, i really don't care. Yea, i cheated, the title is to bring in as many people as possible because i really believe in this thing.

I cannot understand your point, imagine megaupload starting to accept bitcoins. Imagine 1000 users daily that are introduced to the idea and 500 that pays with bitcoins.

Now imagine that 10 other similar website copy megaupload and allows the users to pay via btc, because hey, it's a great idea to let people pay without the fees of cc!

6 months and bitcoin would become popular among people who practice file sharing.

It would become established among this niche and prove itself useful.

How long before it bearch out this niche and spread to other sectors? How long till an amazon competitor start accepting it?

Really, i cannot understand your point.

This idea IMO is genius.
