3601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock, Dell & Dish: Pay Dividends in Bitcoin on: September 14, 2014, 12:50:06 PM
I would love to see this kind of thing at least happen as an option maybe, but I think you're right in that it would cause huge tax problems, I think companies are soon going to have to make a choice of whether to just abandon the USD/GBP/Euro or switch entirely to Bitcoin because the central banks will make it as difficult as possible to use both.
3602  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you had 1000000 Bitcoins? on: September 14, 2014, 11:33:58 AM
I would do lots of things and most of them would be secret Wink
3603  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ann Coulter: We should kill and convert leaders into Christianity on: September 14, 2014, 11:32:59 AM
He should come to Bitcointalk and see we have our own morons here, everyone has to deal with these scumbags.
3604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 3D renders - Free to use as wallpaper, for promotion, or commercially on: September 14, 2014, 11:21:45 AM
That's very awesome actually, I'm impressed, do you have wireframes? I'd just like to take a look, what software did you use?
3605  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jesus and Homosexuality on: September 14, 2014, 11:19:02 AM
Because the problem is these morons take bits of the bible they like that they think goes along with their stupidity and try to twist it into something its not, it's like how they claim in the constitution something along the lines of "Congress shall define marriage as between a man and a woman" the problem is the keyword there DEFINE which means it defines it, it hasn't actually made it illegal for a man to marry a man or a woman to marry a woman, of course, they're stupid so they don't pay attention to that.

It's like how they attack science and claim its all bullshit and yet here they are, making threads on something science created, talking on something science created, attacking science. Holy shit the irony you see in the world whenever you actually try and think about the things people say. These people are pre-programmed to spout their bullshit from an early age and they don't think about it, so when you actually try and get you to think about it they just end up repeating themselves or start trying to change the subject because they don't like having to think it.

Trust me, I've been around, it's not just you thinking about this stuff and it's a load of crap I know Cheesy they're morons and that's all there is to it.

For a person supposedly against judging you are awfully judgmental. You'd have a hard time finding a regular Christian in your day to day life as hateful of gay people as you are of Christians.

Maybe you should try to find out why people think they way they do and what they actually think (since you and the OP are wrong about what most Christians think) before you condemn them.

Quote
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

I'm not hateful of Christians, I'm hateful of religion Wink And considering the fact that there was a user who just posted "Religious debate aside, I think homosexuality is a disorder. Biology proves me right." and then some moron actually agreed with him I think you're completely blind.

I will do everything to fight the brainwashing and assimilation of people into a certain group no matter who they are especially if they are trying to use fear and peer pressure or even more insidious means in order to do it.
3606  Other / Off-topic / Re: I know its bad but..... on: September 13, 2014, 07:24:04 PM
LOL! There's nothing wrong with having one of those every so often if you exercise, I like it too ( When my food actually looks like that photo of course ) it's obviously only a problem if you like many fatasses who try to pass blame on something else eat it every day and don't bother exercising and eat no fruit on top of that.

There is no such thing as privilege in regards to freedom of speech and freedom of expression, people who say otherwise are trying to subvert it.
3608  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-13] Video: Overstock.com CEO on using bitcoin, Apple Pay for purchases on: September 13, 2014, 03:21:33 PM
Is fox businesses' streaming fucking awful or is it just me? it keeps twitching constantly.
3609  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-11] Overstock Now Accepts Bitcoin in Over 100 Countries Worldwide on: September 13, 2014, 03:10:33 PM
Yeah, import taxes will hit you on anything over £30 as well. Royail Mail have a habit of paying it for you then charging you like a £10+ 'fee' on top of it for the privilege.

My only worry is that they may just decide to lump all the costs on to the businesses which they could well do because they have to register everything, I hadn't thought about this deeply until now but we'll have to see what happens, at least they definitely won't be able to do anything about digital files.
3610  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-11] Overstock Now Accepts Bitcoin in Over 100 Countries Worldwide on: September 13, 2014, 02:30:01 PM
Looks like it isn't a load of crap this time, they have Bitcoin logos and stuff on their UK website now.

Isn't all their stuff shipped from American warehouses? I think Overstock and it's CEO are great but it doesnt have anything on Amazon in the UK yet.

yeah, I've realised that looking at the shipping costs, but it's something at least, personally I'm going to be using scan.co.uk for most of my electronic purchases but if I want something else in Bitcoin that's bigger than that since they have all sorts of furniture and stuff it may be worth it buying from them Tongue

.... There's also the tax considerations since you can't tax Bitcoin income at least not realistically.
3611  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS has set a trap for the American government and they are walking right to it on: September 13, 2014, 02:05:43 PM
.... Do you know how a 'few' of those super hornets and drones cost? LOL

http://fcnl.org/issues/foreign_policy/understanding_drones/

http://nation.time.com/2012/11/06/12548710-60/

$12,548,710.60, apparently Tongue

And that took me about 5 seconds to google, so that's $13,000,000 rounded up for every time the kurds need something bombed which will obviously be quite a few things, sure, you'd be right in thinking that it costs less than a few jets and an entire aircraft carrier but 13 million is still a ridiculous amount.
3612  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teen in Pennsylvania sentenced to two years for deep-throating Jesus on: September 13, 2014, 02:00:41 PM
putting someone in jail for 2 years for taking a photo humping a statue is insane even if he was completely naked (which he wasn't).
was there any damage done to property or the well being of someone else? no.

unless he does this repeatedly and was already punished for doing it before but continues anyway this should be a 100$ fine at most.

Be sure not to set up any family pictures or plaque with your name and picture on them, then get upset when someone decides to publicly behave with it in such a manner that is both unprovoked and unwarranted.

It might be in bad taste but pretending to hump a plaque or Jesus isn't or shouldn't be against the law. People need get over themselves.

Are you kidding? Every time I look at that photo I start laughing LOL Tongue
3613  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS has set a trap for the American government and they are walking right to it on: September 13, 2014, 01:59:36 PM
So you say America shouldn't do ANYTHING against ISIS? Someone has to do something about them. The way ISIS want a own caliphate by murdering and raping all non-Islamist should be stopped by someone.

I'm sure they hit atleast some ISIS fighters by bombing. Yes, civilians too. But at the other hand, way more civilians will have been killed if NO ONE does something against ISIS.  They should increase the attacks on ISIS. Increase the force against ISIS with every decapitation they make, don't do what they want.

Just bomb out the fugitives and keep fire ready when they regroup again. If America will train and arm the rebels they will turn their guns towards USA tomorrow like Afganistan. But the USA has not learnt the lesson.

That kind of paranoia is exactly why the kurds don't like America very much and just want to fight for themselves lol they know accepting American help means being their protectorate for the rest of their lives and never being truly independent.

Yeah, because that worked so well in Liby- Oh wait! Cheesy The most America can do without fucking things up is sending financial and technological support to the Kurds, but the thing is, they tried that in Iraq originally and now ISIS has their stuff, I think you just need to accept the fact the American government has no fucking clue what its doing.
3616  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS has set a trap for the American government and they are walking right to it on: September 13, 2014, 01:44:07 PM
The Kurds are doing something about ISIS and are very close to creating their own state, how about learning something about the history of the place you're trying to invade? You moron.

3617  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS has set a trap for the American government and they are walking right to it on: September 13, 2014, 01:36:28 PM
I never thought I'd find myself defending the American government, their plan of bombardment is shitty and they are just going to get innocent people killed while ISIS hide in the mountains the same way the Taliban have been doing for decades, the difference is though this time they're backing the Kurds and they're one of the few groups in that region that the regular people actually trust, adding to that, they have the balls to actually fight ISIS and their regions have been relatively safe compared to the factions that America previously backed along with treating their people far more fairly ( as far as we know ) compared to those other groups.

I actually think things might be different right now purely because they are backing Kurdistan, the Kurds have even made a peace deal with Turkey and are working together with Iran to take down ISIS, to be honest though, if anything does happen that will benefit Iraq and get rid of ISIS, it won't be because of America in the end, it will be because of the Peshmerga troops on the ground.
3618  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teen in Pennsylvania sentenced to two years for deep-throating Jesus on: September 13, 2014, 11:00:40 AM
I'm trying to be serious about it, but that photo is just hilarious Cheesy If he goes to jail then this basically just shows up the Christians for the morons they are.
